I love this place. Doctor and receptionist/secretary are very friendly and interested in your overall condition (concerns with diet as well as overall health). I’m a new patient and my medication has changed. One added and one deleted as well as one reduced. I’m overall functioning BETTER than I was. I’m being monitored bi monthly for medications. I couldn’t be more pleased elsewhere.

I have had the opportunity to witness the evolution of Charis Mental Health over the last few years, and as a long time patient, I can say that I am impressed with what I see. Their staff are well-trained, fair-minded and warm individuals who give their all to their clients and families. I highly recommend Charis Mental Health for the management of medications

I’ve been seeing Gloria E. for a couple of months. She has been great. She answers my emails quickly with a return email or a phone call and she helped me get things straightened out with my med orders at the mail order pharmacy my insurance requires me to use. The medication she ordered has made a huge difference in my life. I feel like a new person. I would highly recommend her to anyone. In fact I have recommended her to my daughter and I’m hoping she will make an appointment soon.

Dr Gloria Egbuniwe is the best. She understands her practice and makes every effort to help her patients get better. Mental Health has always provided a social acceptance challenge for me but this office has helped me overcome those barriers while truly helping me to get better. These challenging times present challenges for all of us and I’m glad that I sought help from Charis particularly from Ms Egbuniwe.

If I could give this place NO stars I would. If you have a mental issue please do yourself a favor and do NOT come here! First off, the front desk is a mess. No one answers the phone and if they do, they cannot answer your questions. Second, the billing department is absolutely ridiculous.I find it funny that I have paid my copay before every appointment, and have never had another bill come to me...but the second I tell them I am leaving the practice I get a bill in the mail that I had to fight. Everything here is completely unorganized. If you need a prescription and have run out, they charge you to refill it. If you need paperwork filled out for your job, GOOD LUCK. They wanted me to come in and pay ANOTHER copayment for them to fill out paperwork for me for a disability that has ALREADY been documented EVERYWHERE. This place takes advantage of people who have mental disabilities and its not okay. Do better, Charis Mental Health. I am very happy I have left this practice.EDIT:I was also asked to confirm an appointment AFTER I had made it perfectly clear that I was not going to be a patient there anymore. Talk about unprofessional.

I was going to leave a 4 star review but Gloria Egbuniwe PMHNP-BC is fantastic at her job and really makes a difference. The only issue I have had is that the receptionist doesnt always answer my calls, however she does reply to my text and will eventually call back when a voice-mail is left. I assume its a delay due to volume. The important thing  is the quality of treatment which is 5 stars and the quick turnaround. My tricare provided psychologist schedules 6-8 weeks out, whereas Charis was able to get me in within a week of first contact. Gloria Egbuniwe PMHNP-BC is caring and listens to the patients concerns, ask probing questions and was promp with a diagnosis. The treatment thus far has helped me tremendously coupled with regular therapy sessions with an outside entity. They could improve with communication from the receptionist, but communication with my doctor is outstanding! I can not speak enough great things about Gloria Egbuniwe PMHNP-BC.Just for some perspective I am a well educated male serving in the military with an engineering background. Anyone can have problems and they are there to help.*edited for grammatical errors. Im good at math not english.

Listen closely.Dr. Keneti is the ONLY reason this place is a 5 star for myself. She is the best woman doctor I have ever had. She really cares a lot and she takes your opinions (into consideration) so you are as comfortable as possible under her care. She is perfect. Why it is 0 out of 5 stars otherwise?Dr. Christina Cray; Id severely strongly recommend not utilizing.Due to Covid I was unable to continue seeing Dr. Keneti, and I could not get into contact with anyone to pay an owed bill and was eventually assigned to Dr. Cray.Dr. Cray has not medicated me at all since I came under her care around March or April of 2021.She has sent in medications that my Pharmacy does not carry every time we had a scheduled appointment. The Pharmacy has been calling me after every appointment to tell me that Dr. Cray has not sent in any prescriptions.I have been without any treatment for several months.Whats further, she was the Dr. responsible for having my Payee (my mother) removed from my SSA funding. After telling her that my mother left me for dead on the floor after a suicide attempt following my husbands death she *called* her to discuss if I was fit to handle my own money, despite knowing she was causing severe mental health crises.I also explained to her that my mother was in debt nearly 300k to the IRS in stolen funds, and unpaid taxes and that I used the Whistleblower Fraud Alert involving that as well as my own check. She chose to deny me access to my own money due to discrimination for reasons unknown.I will be suing her and Id like to advise you to please very, very strongly reconsider using Dr. Kenetis services if you chose this clinic instead as it was and may still be the only Psychiatry office available in Suffolk.Thankfully, as per her style, Dr. Keneti has made room for me to come back under care. Please use her if youd like to receive care here, you wont be let down I absolutely promise you.

Now that I have had two appointments I cant get ahold of anyone there. There is no way to call the front desk? Really??! Had that been the case a month ago when I tried to make an apointment I wouldnt be as distraught as I am right now. You try to call to talk to someone and you are prompted to text, or email. I texted to try to get my issue resolved, and when I got no response I emailed, and again no response. In the message recorded for you to listen to when you call it says all providers make sure you have enough medication to get you to your next appointment and this is not my case. I dont have enough to get me to my next appointment, and either way I need to talk to a provider because one of the medications I was given was making me so sick! I cant believe they treat people with mental disorders like this. The entire experience trying to get in touch with Anyone has put me on edge, and on the verge of tears.

If you are struggling with your mental health, this is the last place you’ll want to end up. At my first appointment, I was put on meds that have only deteriorated my mental health. When I raised concerns, I ended up with my upcoming appointment getting canceled, and being brushed off by all of the staff for weeks. I’m left worse off mentally than when I started, searching for a new doctor, and not knowing how to safely get off of my current meds. Long story short, if you’re looking for a mental health provider, do yourself a favor and keep looking.

I cant really review the practice, because I could not get past the front desk staff when I had a question on the initial intake forms (sign a blank release form? Really?) Perhaps the doctors dont know what is going on out front and they are really very good, but whole swaths of people will never get to find out. If you do not fill out every single question and sign every single form - whether it applies or not - you will not be seen. I felt like banging on the windows as we left to see if the doctors are free to leave or are being held hostage by the people out front.

I would advise y’all to find another practice. The client/customer service is lacking and the doctors even refuse to speak to clients in the front when there is a problem. I have been kept waiting over an hour for my appointments multiple times but when I was late 6/15mins, the doctor refused to see me. She wouldn’t even come up to the front desk. This happened twice. The first time I tried to inform the front desk I was late because of work and I was trying to make another appointment. As I was doing this I see my doctor walk out with a patient. I was 6mins late that first time. So she was not finished with the appointment before mine but because she had a 5min late policy, I could not be seen. Another time I asked to reschedule, I was informed that the doctors were going out of town for two weeks. But she had just gotten BACK into town the day of my appointment. Then when I tell them I need refills, the secretary tells me that it’s $15 per prescription. Unless they are being paid, the doctors will not have any communication with you. It will all have to be done through the secretary, who then talks to the office manager, who then (if you are lucky) will talk to your actual doctor. If you want a doctor with a personal touch, go elsewhere because you won’t find it here.

Dr. Kineti is awful. Very condescending lacks empathy. She prescribed medication and couldn’t even answer my questions about side effects which was appalling. Also untrustworthy, she approved me for a week out of work but refused to complete paperwork until I saw her again, even though she approved it at a prior appointment. I felt it was a tactic to get repeat business.

Called to schedule an appointment. Was told because I use anthem I couldn’t be seen until December. Called back to ask if I paid cash how soon I could get in, and then I was told they don’t do consultations. They said they only prescribe medicines once you have already been diagnosed with a disorder by a different doctor. I’d find someone else.

I had an appointment and completed the paper work prior to my appointment as directed,or come 1hr early to complete paper work. I arrived 30min prior to my appointment and was advised the doctor had cancelled my appointment because I did not complete the paper work. I insisted I did, the front desk was not able to advise . Front desk contacted the doctor by email, she reported back, that I failed to sign the signature pages. I explained that I filled out everything the person said over the phone. I didnt see the signature pages. I asked them was it complete over the phone, they said they dont know what it look like and could not help. Its was still early and the Front desk with much difficulty with the computer system assisted me with the signature pages which took her about 25min. Now the paper work is complete and its still before my appointment. She stated Dr . L. KENETI refused to see me. I complained stating that, it was no way that the intake paper work that I completed online (except the signature pages),could have been completed in 1 hour, if it took your worker 25min to help me to just complete signature pages in your office. This is a mental health facility and the doctor had no empathy for me as new patient to refuse me because the signature page wasnt done one hour before my appointment time. I completed the signatures before my appt time, and was checked and she still refused to see me after being there for now almost a hour!! Dr. Keneti was advised of all the events and she still refused to see me . This was wrong! Its a good thing I was not in a real bad place mentally because these events could have worsened anyones mental health!!

I have been a patient since November. I have had nothing but issues with the front office person Tiffany. When you call, she is rude and unhelpful and treats you like you are lesser of a person. I have had billing issues that I have not been able to get resolved through the billing department and have asked for help. Ive had issues with medication and have asked if my provider could please call me back. When I dont receive a call and call back I get a rude attitude and a brick wall. Today I drove 30 minutes to my appt. after she called yesterday to confirm my appt, only to be told I could not be seen without paying my bill I have been trying to get resolved that they have billed under the wrong tax id # and I have been told by the insurance it was a provider error. I told her you could have told me that when I spoke with you yesterday on the phone. She told me we dont have to tell you anything, Im telling you now that you came in. I would not have wasted my time or the providers time had I known and could have worked on the resolution. I cant get any help from anyone and cant get past her. She is the rudest receptionist I have ever delt with even the lady in line behind me said she had many issues. Someone needs to teach her front office etiquette and they need to have a back-up for issues she cannot handle or when shes on personal calls right in front of you. I will be looking for a new provider Ive had enough! Its too bad the provider herself is excellent with patients.

Dealing with Dr. Keneti has truly been a nightmare. I’ve never felt so ignored and insulted by a psychiatrist.Upon our initial meeting, I informed her of a previous misdiagnosis I had received; she spent the rest of our appointment assuring me that, despite not meeting the DSM5 criteria, this was the illness that plagued me. She made no effort to come to her own conclusion about my condition, and purposely ignored anything I said to the contrary. She figured the work had already been done for her; I had already received a diagnosis from a previous psychiatrist, and she felt that it was not necessary to make her own evaluation. When I attempted to express that I believed I was a sufferer of a different disorder, she outright refused to acknowledge my concerns. She then proceeded to inform me that there was “no way” I suffered from this disorder, and someone that “actually had it” would “shoot you in the face for suggesting it.” She poked fun at me for taking it upon myself to do some research on mental health and mocked me for proposing what I am certain is the condition I suffer from (which I meet all of the DSM5 criteria for, by the way). She told me that medicine was what I needed and that therapy would probably “make things worse.”She sent me home with a packet on the condition I was previously misdiagnosed with and a prescription to treat it. She never discussed the side effects of the medication with me. I later learned that weight gain was a common side effect. I gained over 20 pounds while on this medication. The weight gain wasn’t her fault, but I do feel this information should have been disclosed. At our next appointment, I was visibly upset with her treatment of my concerns. I was tired of being ignored and going unheard. You would think that a person that deals with the mentally ill every day would know to deescalate a situation like this but instead she began to insult me, accusing me of never being able to trust mental health professionals. She then told me that I am “probably a good person, deep down.” I was horribly offended. I left her office crying, enraged and hurt. This is NOT how you treat emotionally fragile people! This is not how you treat anyone, for that matter, regardless of their mental health.Dr. Keneti is simply unfit to treat the mentally ill. She lacks any sort of compassion for those of us that might be hurting greatly due to our mental struggles. She does not care about the wellbeing of her patients; she doesn’t care if there is improvement! She wants nothing more than to push more pills down our throats and sit back and collect a paycheck. Her medical license ought to be revoked after this egregious display of negligence and misconduct.
