We contacted Jay K Screens to get our patio lanai refurbish after I saw the fantastic job they did for our next door neighbor.Darrel came to the house to give us a quote within few days of my original call, he explained to us how they replace the screws, the gutter holding the lanai and the screens and he also referred us to a painting company.We ended up getting our lanai painted and after they were done, Jay K came to restored it, as previously discussed.The installers did a great job, they were respectful and they cleaned up after they were done with the job.We are very satisfied with the job they did on our lanai that looks brand new and we will recommend them in our community.

Theres so many good things I can say about this company.Honesty, upfront information is among them.During the past couple of years between the virus and supply shortages he has been running full tilt.But so is everyone else except they wont tell you that theyre running full tilt.Many of the other screeners I spoke with will tell you several weeks and then not make the deadline.JAY K SCREENS were up front told me that it would be a little bit, at the time I had my installation.But when they did install.They got everything done in about a day.And its perfect.And it was the best price quotes that I had gotten.Trust and honesty is a big thing with me.If they say theyre going to do something these folks do it.So many times with other vendors I have not had that outcome.You want quality work, you want it done right, these are the folks for you.And they give you real time frames.For myself and friends and family in the future, Jay is all Im going to use.Thanks again guys and sorry I meant to do this weeks ago..

My experience was great. I have not used this company before but they put me in the queue and got to me as quickly as they could. The service personnel were understanding and sympathetic to my problem. I will continue to use this company whenever I have screen issues in the future.

I used them to re-screen my pool enclosure. They also recommend that I switch out my rusty fasteners with stainless steel. Im glad I chose this company, and Im happy with the job they did. The job was done quickly and efficiently.

I own several rental properties and I have used Jay for years. I have always been happy with him. Great quality, price, professionalism, and communication.

Had my whole house done, wouldnt recommend them. Gutters were installed incorrectly and hold water along an entire run / corner. I contacted them to come back and make it right. When they came out, I asked if a downspout would fix the problem instead of having to take them down and re-hang; they said it would help. Even though I didnt want a downspout in that spot (looks) I agreed. Then Jay told me it was going to be 140 dollars of my expense. So I said, never mind take them down and re-do them. He refused and said it was impossible to make them right. I asked why they didnt tell me that in the first place and why they took my money for a completed job. After all this back and forth I asked him to just put in the downspout and be done with it and he refused unless Id pay for it. As a matter of principle Ill have someone else do it, or do it myself.Conclusion - paid good money for a completed job that was done wrong and refused to fix unless I paid more, and did it with an attitude - pretty typical experience of FL contractors.

Customer service is horrible from first phone call to get a quote, they act like they are doing you a favor by even answering the phone. When I did inquire about installation date, I was told every excuse as to why they couldn’t do it for over 5 weeks. They love the money you pay but show zero appreciation for a paying customer. Jay and his wife, who answers the office phone are down right rude like it’s an inconvenience to even speak on the phone.

Jay K Screens is a great small company with a great attitude. They care if you are happy. They take care in what they do. Would absolutely recommend this company for all screen enclosure and screen restoration projects.

I highly recommend Jay K Screens. To begin they were quite flexible with our scheduling as it turned out we had to have some foundation work done to our pool area. This led to some dates being moved back & forth. Jay & Marcela were very accommodating about this issue.Jay came out to give the estimate & was clear & concise & made some suggestions to which we agreed. Apparently when the pool was originally enclosed whatever screws were used had rusted over time so Jay said they could/would replace all (3000?) of them with stainless steel screws. This took the better part of 2 days. Jay also said theyd replace the screen door(s) hydraulic (thingy). After the work was completed I realized they had also replaced the door handles! Pleasant surprise.Ben & Joe (who did the actual work) were polite, efficient & picked up after themselves every day they were here. In addition we had Jay K enclose our front porch area.Jay K did the work they said they would do. They did it in a timely manner. And they did it for what we felt was a VERY reasonable cost. Depending on the coming hurricane season we may be calling Jay K again in a few months. :)

I own an apartment in Hutchinson Island and after hurricane Irma my porch needed it a major repair.I called Jay K screens after I found them on google and Angie’s List and read their reviews, I asked them to give me an estimate to fix the screens and we schedule an appointment within few days.When Jay showed up he found additional damage due to the salt and proximity to the ocean that corroded part of my aluminum and my screws.I got a fair quote to replace all my screens and bolts and few of the aluminum that was too corroded. They completed the job in a timely manner considering that every company was swamp after the hurricane.I’m very happy with the results and will definitely use them and recommend them around the building.

I was referred to Jay K Screens after my roofer informed me about some leaks on my screen enclosure gutter. I called to set up an appointment and Jay came over the next day to give me an estimate, when he arrived and walked around with me looking at my gutter problems, he explained that the gutter they installed was to small for the amount of rain we get in Florida and also too low, so he suggested to increased the size of the gutter and install it properly, which meant cutting back the beams of my enclosure.At first, I was hesitant about the whole idea of cutting the beams and disconnecting the enclosure from the house since I initially called for a couple of leak repairs only, but after few pictures he showed me it really made sense to replaced the entire gutter for the right size and being that he was referred by our roofer we signed the contract and I have to say it was the best decision.The job took them about 5 days, the 2 workers knew exactly what they were doing, of course I have no more leaks but I also noticed these days that we’ve been having a lot of rain that the water doesn’t overflow from my roof into the patio anymore. I am very pleased with their craftsmanship and I would definitely hire/recommend them again for any other project for my patio.

I had a very poor experience with this company. It Took 4 phone calls and 2 emails to get them to come do an estimate for a $1000.+ job. Said would be back to me with an estimate within two days. Never heard back, called for an update got voicemail and no call back. I would pass on this vendor. Plenty of other options in the area...

I must admit, its not often that I am compelled to write a positive review on a rendered service. More often than not, I am quicker to write a negative review than any review at all.Well I can sincerely say that it has been nothing short of a pleasure working with Jay K. Screens. First of all they were intitially recommended to me by a Home Depot employee who works in the screening department. That alone made me feel pretty good about calling them to give me a free estimate on repairing my pool patio screen enclosure. Jay himself showed up at my home to give me the free estimate. He was very professional, took the time to really listen to my needs, and all of the work he proposed was spelled out so that I had the exact details of his proposal in writing. Not only did I need new screening, but also several parts of the enclosure itself were rusted and falling apart. All of the work proposed was done expeditiously and professionally in September of 2016. Just about a month after the work was done, the News of Hurricane Matthew came in, and I thought, Great just my luck. I just had my entire screen enclosure repaired and now were going to get hit with a hurricane. Well not only did the integrity of my enclosure withstand Hurricane Matthew with absolutely zero damage, but I realized that if I had not had my screen enclosure repaired just before the hurricane hit, the enclosure would have likely been leveled!Needless to say, I highly recommend Jay K. Screens. I know that if need be I will definitely use their services again!

These people at J Kay screens do not appear to be customer oriented. They gave me an estimate that was 3 times higher than other estimates that I got. They told me I needed a lift to have my screens put in and would have to pay $400 extra for the lift but I got another contractor who used to nothing but a ladder and did a beautiful job. Stay away from them!

We hired Jay K. To come out and install pet screen for our cats in our patio pool enclosure. They repair some of the frame at no extra cost, they did an awesome job and we will use them again as needed.
