My response to getting my deposit back was to be sued for twice the deposit by a well known local law firm well versed in these tactics. And here is the headline.... Berkshire Hathaway, the agency she sells for, and the transferring agency in Stuart seem to think that is ok because it is a landlord tenant issue. They are right. Morally, its disgusting as Berkshire Hathaway has sat in silent complacency and let their agents get away with her behavior? #Iwantmy4400

We are experienced real estate buyers of both residential and commercial. We have never been treated by an agent as poorly as we were by Stephanie Gray. Stephanie openly offended my wife more than once during a showing so not a great start. Her communication with my agent was simply minimal, inadequate and completely lacking. She made absolutely no effort to help us make a deal. She sat on our offer with without responding to us. Claiming the sellers were discussing. All the while taking other offers without advising us, while we were lead to believe the sellers are discussing our offer. In the end she steered the deal away from us and we were just used . We can understand not getting a deal but we cannot accept being used and her poor service . Not happy with Stephanie Grey!

ALL BUYERS BEWARE!!! If you use a BH agent to make an offer, youll eventually be asked to sign a form called BUYER COMPREHENSIVE DISCLOSURE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT. DONT DO IT!!!The form seems innocent enough, with boiler-plate topics like Equal Housing, Surveys, Other Vendors, etc. Innocent, that is, UNTIL the last sentence, when BH casually mentions that youll pay $395 for the privilege of having them as your Buyers Broker. (Yup, thats on top of the commission they get from the seller.)There are plenty of local Mom & Pop realtors who dont & wont charge this fee. Strongly suggest you tell BH to pound sand, and use an agent who can live with the standard contract commission.

Worst experience we have had with selling a home! Our first home sold in a day our second in a week and the house we listed with Dave Shinnebarger from this location was on the market for 5 months. After a series of events that had code of ethics issues we broke our contract and we are going to proceed to file complaints to the proper authorities. The realtor was very unprofessional with his tardiness to our showings and open houses, not to mention all the mishaps with cancellations. The real problems came when he picked up buyers from one of our open houses as clients! He even bad mouthed another agent to gain them as clients! They were cash buyers so you can guess who he truly was working for in the end and unfortunately after contacting the broker of this firm we still had to seek outside help and guidance from another realtor. Learned a lot from this experience and hope this review helps you from making the same mistake as we did!
