This company is extremely dishonest. I called to cancel my membership on January 27th. Their bill generates on the 26th from what the manager told me. The lady I spoke with decided not to tell me that Im a day late to cancel for this month instead she just set my account to cancel. Well It is now Feb 14th and I received a charge on my debit card for the full usual bill amount EXCEPT I CANCELED. I called and they said there is nothing I can do about it since the bill generates on the 26th and they said they were sorry that lady should have told me that. Wow! So I was billed an entire month for 1 day of internet access instead of just telling me to cancel the next month. This is extremely dishonest business ethic and now I know why my whole neighborhood has been done with spectrum. Youve been warned. Dont give this company your business. (Edit: the price went up 2 years in a row meanwhile their internet got worse every year. The internet is the worst connection ever! The only 5 star reviews on this company are from old people who have everything they use plugged into an ethernet cable. I didnt have good, working internet for 3 months literally before I decided to cancel. I even had them come out and change out the equipment but still no internet. This company is a joke. Go with ATT its less than spectrum and you get other perks. Not to mention top notch customer service! If I ever had a problem with them I know theyd be nice about it and try their best to fix it unlike dishonest spectrum)

I walked in with the assumption that I could return my modem and router at any Spectrum store. I walked in they told me I couldn’t after I’d already taken everything out and they asked me what the address was where I had it and gave me the excuse of it’s different billing places so they couldn’t take it. I called Spectrum and they said it was weird they couldn’t take it since they are all their products. I’m sorry but this lady wasn’t very helpful. She told me all the places I already knew about except I decided on this one since it was closest to me. I work customer service and I understand it’s hard but seriously.

I was told one price for 12 months the lady reassured me that when I upgraded I would have it at the locked price for another 12 months now I have a high bill. If people representing your company do not know what they are talking about do not tell customers anything until you are fully sure you make yourself along with the company look ignorant. Because its people who use your service who make it able for you to keep your doors open and have employees.

Trying to get the word out to many sources:A quick note of recommendation. I am leaving the Marina area near Perth Road. I shall miss it...everything but TimeWarner/Spectrum. If you can avoid using them, particularly for cable TV service, I would recommend.3 reasaons:1. For basic TV and extended they now charge me $88.47 per month, and internet of $69.99 and my monthly charge is $169-- far higher than any other service, like AT&T. [this is no movies, not frills..and still $169 per month]2. Cable has been highly intermittent.. frequently does NOT come on. I have to either call for a New Signal or Unplug and start over. Ask them to see my Service Record. See how many times I have called them to complain of no service.3. Today, when I cancelled the service, 1/2 way through the month, I was told that by TW rules I had to pay the full $169 monthly fee . no prorated charge... even one day of the month, you must pay the full charge.I am alerting the buyers of my house, recommending that they try to avoid TW, get a dish or ROKU with AT&T... but the poor quality of the service and the lack of integrity by TW suggests that you should AVOID them if you possibly can.sorry to be negative

The ladies behind the counter are very nice but I guess management don’t worry about the customers waiting in the lobby . Every seat was taken & had 3 ladies behind the counter, then one had to take lunch so that left two, but the lady that made it know numerous times she was the supervisor left the counter leaving the one lady by herself - REALLY !!!!! You need to take care of your customers that have been with you instead of treating them like dirt

Paying 240 a month for all 3 services still under the legacy with time Warner. Called and called and called to try to get service changed to a cheaper rate I got was cant do it. Well I have gone to a local company with better picture quality and no data caps for a flat fee of 140 a month. So you can take that 240 bill that is still due and slap that on my credit because after 5 years with this company and only getting services 3 days out of a week and then back up and back down again. Ha screw you spectrum.

There is not a company that I would love to see run out of business than this one. Theres a reason New York almost kicked them out of the state. Just a coastal monoply in it for the money and poor service. Its impressive how many mergers theyve made and all the tos clauses that remove pro-rating that affects their bottom line and being able to charge for services no longer rendered a month after cancellation. Impressively twisted.

I never leave bad reviews and try to show grace, but seriously if you have ANY OTHER choice, go with someone else. We’ve been waiting for 8 days for a technician and every day they tell us someone will be out the next day and NOTHING. Yesterday they tell us they have 7 days to respond and someone will be our today, again no one. Today they tell us it will be another week! Same thing with our office internet that goes down more than it stays up! We will be switching companies ASAP!

This company is such a joke - what a circus it’s been. The sales person bait and switched me when just to get me to go with them instead of DIRECTV, and then when I did, then they send out an installation tech to install services we didn’t even talk about, for a higher monthly rate than what they said - it was like she was just trying to hit certain metrics that they’re supposed to hit, and lied to me about what was actually going to be delivered. Then it’s up to me to go and return gear to the local shop, and talk to someone to explain what went wrong, and to try to get things right. Then they have to send the installer out again, with the correct gear, so You have to take time out of your own schedule for them, and then it’s 8:30pm and they call to tell you they’ve been double booked, and that someone will be calling me later to reschedule another time. And then they call and you get to talk with someone who is indifferent, acting like she’s painting her nails, says she can’t do anything, other than tell you they would try to be back tomorrow, but she can already see they are double booked again. Seriously, this company is one of the worst managed organizations I’ve ever experienced. And this wasn’t a one time situation, it’s like an epidemic there. They hire people that really don’t care, they don’t train people correctly, they don’t give their people any power to make things right, you just have to get transferred endlessly from department to department. If I could only get back the hours and hours of lost time that this company has cost me. I appreciate that they hire American employees versus overseas outsourcing (also a horrible experience), but they can’t expect people to do it on their own, they have to train them in how they want them to conduct themselves, how they want them to represent the company, and give them authority to make decisions to keep customers from leaving. They need to do a better job screening potential employees that actually care about doing a good job.**UPDATE:They did send an install tech (Dalton) to finish the job and he was super professional, friendly, fast, and did a very good job. He’s clearly a hard worker and works with excellence. If only Spectrum could have more employees like him. A good finish to an otherwise disastrous experience. (Spectrum, you owe Dalton big time. Give the man a raise - or do whatever you can to keep him there.)

If I could leave a zero..I would. Ive had nothing but problems for the past 3 months with this company. Picture switching to a little box in the upper right hand corner and remote not working most the time. Ive had to call for the past 3 days to get it fixed. Told I need to get a new box. Not to mention Im paying over $200 for service that hardly works and being told theres nothing they can do to lower my bill. Looking into switching companies! Set up an appt for new service. Technician told us it was no problem would have to run a jumper but could provide service. The technician drilled through some electrical wires that later cost around $300 to fix. The district manager refused to reimburse the cost and I had to go through corporate. It took a bit but we were reimbursed eventually.Our service is good and we haven’t had a problem when going through corporate but the area representatives stink and are rude.

My first visit by a sub-contractor for Spectrum did not go well. A second visit by a Spectrum employee was great. Shannon is a trouble-shooter and took care of our project professionally and efficiently. He needed to provide service to a room that had not been previously wired and he did a great job. He even vaccumed the carpet where he had been working. He was a real jewell.

Spectrum is terrible. They keep raising my bill 15-20% a year and wont budge on discounting it. My plan is $166 a month while new customers get a similar one for $50. I guess they dont value current customers. Also, claims their Spectrum plans dont support cable cards which is either an outright lie or their breaking FCC regulations. Ive never seriously considered switching to an alternative company until Spectrum took over for Time Warner.

Definitely recommend to call Yadtel Telecom and see if your address can be served by their absolutely wonderful service (they don’t serve the entire statesville county). They provide fixed rates and the fastest speeds on internet (they don’t change them after a year like some company we all probably know.) and they are local, and they treat you like a family.

Switched from at&t to spectrum because my bill with at&t kept going up each month and spectrum had a special going on . So, I switched cable, internet and home phone which was supposed to be around $90.00 a month all together. Got my bill and it was $200 . They had excuse after excuse. And their internet is slower than dial up, like 2g speeds at best. I cant even watch a movie on Netflix without it stopping and buffering or the internet just completely disconnecting.

The installation guy did not seal holes he drilled left without giving me my phone number or any instructions on how to set up voicemail or internet password and im promised 100 mbits and only may out around 25-28 mbits. Over all totally unsatisfied with services. I canceled the phone and cable. Still have internet with same slow speeds. And pay over $70 a month for it. If I tell people im doing one thing and dont do a 1/4 of it then I dont get paid or if Ive already been paid i geed sued for not doing what is promised.
