Ive recently moved to Pennsylvania and was looking for work. I had applied to a few jobs that were affiliated with the HR office. Very quickly I had an appointment and an interview. I discussed what I wanted to do further down the road and what my intentions were and they took all of that into consideration. I got phone calls at least twice a week, usually more often. The HR is a very professional and helpful employment agency. I recently moved from California to Pennsylvania and was in need for new employment. I didnt really know the area and needed help finding work.I went in to the HR office and they got to work right away. I let them know that I was interested in getting a job at Penn State so that narrowed the search. They were able to find me a position there within two weeks.I highly recommend the HR office. The HR Office assisted us in finding the right long term temp to hire - the placement specialists were very thorough in listening to our needs and referred candidates that met the criteria we were searching for. The web interface for time sheet submittals and payments/billing is extremely user friendly. I didnt think I could find a career path with my Psychology degree without going for a Masters. Fortunately for me, I had some help from the sincere efforts of the HR Office. I would like to give credit specifically to Kinga Toth who assisted me on almost a daily basis. I wouldnt have a job at Pennstate University if it werent for her and her coworkers. Honestly getting a job at Pennstate is very difficult unless you have networked from within the University already. Working as a temp gave me several perfect opportunities that happened to work out for me and after 3 months or so I have a permanent full time position with benefits!! The handful of jobs that I worked as a temp at Pennstate have saturated my resume with work experience, refined my cover letters, and given me excellent professional references to further my career path.
