I recently moved to the area and I needed to get to work fast! I passed by Express all the time and one day I decided to try them out. I was a little leary because weve all heard bad things about temp services. Thankfully Express exceeded my expectations in every area. The entire staff has been nothing but professional and kind to me. They have great snacks in the lobby while I wait ( which is never long). They have answered every question I have had and walked me through every issue from the application to the interviews to ultimately finding me steady employment. By the way I was working the next day after going in there. I cant say enough about how helpful they have been to me and my family. I even told my uncle about them and they found him work too. When I hear one of my friends complaining about not getting enough work, not making enough money or even not being able to find a job I always ask if theyve tried Express.

I never worked for this company before. Was just reading some of the reviews, who cares who you work with who cares if they are ex-cons or on probation or parole what does that matter 😂We are all gods children and what’s it matter you think your better because you have a college degree which obviously that college degree isn’t helping any because your looking for work at a temp agency anyways all people should be treated equal maybe that’s some of your problem you think your high society and above everyone but a little FYI there are ex-cons, people on probation that also have college degrees. Grow up maybe that is the solution to your problem........with an attitude like that you will never receive employment with or without a college education. How about growing up and having a good personality and treating everyone equal. You won’t make it very far with an attitude like that. I have a college education and have worked with all types of ppl I don’t judge 👩‍⚖️👨‍⚖️ good luck

Ive been registered with Express for a few months and have had similar experiences as Shawn and others. I was working another job to help out a friend and met a guy who got turned down by this agency for an office job because they thought he would be better off for some cleaning job. Hes an honors graduate from the university so Im sure there isnt much he couldnt learn quickly (the guy seemed a lot more intelligent than me and I did well in school). I also talked to a couple of others who havent been placed well by this company. If all theyre getting are menial jobs with menial pay, then they should be looking at something within the company to change that.I also did some research of my own (thank you Facebook!) to discover that none of the people working out of this office have college degrees. Amanda, Shawn, Ami - NONE! (Sorry, Expresss college and their afternoon certificates dont count!) Apparently they dont care if we have student loans to pay back or expect us to work nasty jobs with criminals and HS dropouts to do it. It must be nice to skip at least 4 years of school then be able to tell people the best they can do is scrub toilets for 8/hr and default on their loans.

Your professional career will probably not advance with this place. The people who work here are amiable, welcoming, and geniunely interested in job placement. Unfortunately the pool of professional opportunites are limited and likely to be canceled by employers who are screening applicants in the entire region.

Express Pro is a seemingly un-established temp employment agency with limited placement resources. I personally interviewed with them and made it a point to look and present myself as very professional. I came with a polished resume, a true desire to work and since then have not heard anything back from the agency. That was over 2 weeks ago. This is NOT the agency to consider if you truly wish to make a grand entrance into the workforce.***Update: 3 weeks after my initial interview, I was assigned a position with a very low end factory in Altoona. Within the first 2 days, I saw a myriad of verbal abuse, and was actually physically grabbed by a staff of management. Upon filing a report with the plants superintendent, I was told to let it go after said staff member apologized, while all 3 attending employees of the factory present at the meeting laughed and jeered.I approached Express Pros main office in State College 2 weeks after physically filing a written report at the Altoona branch, and I received no response. When I contacted them their position was that they had investigated and done nothing. They asked me to sweep it under the rug. Finally, I looked a little further into the history of the plant and discovered that most of the employees are ex-cons, on probation or parole, or recovering addicts who were living in halfway houses.I would definitely avoid this agency at all costs if you intend on gaining meaningful employment, bar none.
