My son and I recently visited to try and make someones day. The house is so warm with the Christmas lights, you can definitely feel the love. The staff were extremely friendly and the charity itself it such a blessing for the families who are affected by a childs illness.
Love this place with such. A great place to stay when my son was in the hospital. They make everybody feel like home there. When I say that, I feel like home.
Can never say enough thanks for this place! When my Grandson was born and needed to stay in the NICU his Mother usually stayed with him but on occasion would go across the street for a hot shower, good nights sleep-if that was possible, and some home cooked food. It was good for her to know she wasnt alone. She was treated as family there. My Grandson is turning 2 in 3 days! So all is well. Thank you!
Great place for parents to stay while caring for a sick child. Very nurturing community of parents and volunteers.
This place was amazing! We stayed here after the birth of our triplets, it is the only way we could have been able to see our babies everyday. We will never forget what a blessing this place was
Absolutely no words can express my feelings. And how thankful I am for these people and their help. I want to give back so badly! God blessed these people and volunteers.
Great place. They were nice, and helpful when my daughter was there.
As a member of the Board of Directors of Unity of Springfield, I was honored to help serve a meal to the families in residence July 28th at this warm and welcoming facility. The staff couldnt have been kinder or more appreciative, and hearing the stories of why people were there was humbling. Im so glad this place exists and my church plans to bring a meal at least once a month...something I hope all civic-minded groups do as well! We cannot possibly imagine what these folks are going through, but bringing them something nourishing for their bodies and listening to their stories, feeds both our bodies and our souls.
I have the privilege of volunteering with my client because I am a Direct Support Worker. My clients favorite chores are vacuuming, dusting/polishing the furniture, and disinfecting the playroom dishes and toys. We have cleaned the rooms, cleaned out the fridge, cleaned the family room in the basement, swept, swiffered, and cleaned the dining room table and chairs. When the weather is warm we sweep the front porch and pick off the deadheads on the hanging flower pots. We enjoy being a part of such a wonderful bunch of volunteers and consider the office staff our friends.
Very good place these people have a lot of love for others, the things this place does. Its incredible for our communities, our families and sanity. Thank you

Wonderful Staff! Lovely House! A True Blessing in Our Time of need.
It helps parents that cant afford to stay in a motel and or go back and forth from the hospital to home everyday
Our church provides a dinner meal once a quarter for the families utilizing the RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE IN SPRINGFIELD, NO NEAR MERCY HOSPITAL. The home is big and beautiful with all the comforts of home.
