Ive worked at the community and within the parent company for 2 years now. Ive stayed because the entire team all the way from the owner to the staff love the residents and do everything they can to make sure we are providing the highest quality of life.If youre looking to bring your family member to the community, reach out! Our staff is happy to help and inform you in the changes and differences of the transition from home to community living. Come take a virtual tour and see what a fantastic place this is.If youre looking for employment, theres many opportunities to grow within the company (I did). Its a great place to work with a lot of benefits you dont get elsewhere.Because of the last year with COVID, there was a lot of transitions to make and a lot of things to learn. But weve survived through it and are coming back with our goal weve always had, providing a fun, safe, and happy environment for the folks that live here.Im writing this, not because I needed to, but because I feel weve gotten a bad wrap over the last year and weve been doing everything to make this place the best place to work and live. And I stand by that. I love it here, I love the people that work and live here. This place is something special and wed love to see you soon.
I would think very seriously about putting a loved one in a facility with such a terrible reputation. It breaks my heart. Please take care of your elders and dont drop them off at understaffed and uncaring facilities.
Absolutely do not work for this place, a management is the worst you’ll deal with. they do not care about the residents just the money they bring in. the carepartner and med techs are the only people who actually care. i love my coworkers and my residents but the management is absolutely disgusting to work for. the don’t even deserve one star
I feel so fortunate to have my mother living at the Rawlin. It is a clean, inviting environment with lots of natural light. They offer a variety of activities to engage the residents. Although my mother doesnt choose to participate, she is always encouraged. I love the friendly faces and bright smiles on the staff and residents when I come to visit. I appreciate the extra energy put into decorating, field trips, and cooking activities. The therapy dogs, spa bath, and manicure time are also a real plus. I have had many conversations with different staff members. I appreciate hearing about my mother from their perspective. My mother is probably more challenging than some, so it is heartwarming to listen to folks give me a funny story. Im informed about my mother and any needs that I should address. I went to many different places when I was searching for a memory care facility for my mother. Many did not have current openings, and I needed a home for my mother immediately. Im so thankful that The Rawlin at Riverbend was available. It felt so welcoming when I came on a tour. Also, I was amazed at the size of the shared room. Some of the places seemed very dark, and the shared rooms were so small that it felt that it would be intrusive to be sharing the space. It may not be a problem for easy-going folks, but I thought the smaller area might be challenging. We chose a single room until the finances demanded a move to a shared room. It has been a beautiful transition. The staff did an exemplary job of moving my mother to her shared place. They decorated her room so lovely that she may not have even noticed the change. I can only sing praises for the staff and care that my mother has received in the two years living at the Rawlin at Riverbend. Besides, she is happy and says the food is delicious.
My Grandma fell and broke her hip. No one notified the family. They also did not report it or seek care for her. She walked on a broken hip for 5 days until at a family visit my cousin saw her walking funny. At the ER they initially said they did not know what happened. Now my Grandma is dying thanks to them. They were hired to protect and care for my Grandma instead they cause neglect and abuse.
Horrible care as well as horrible employees
The Rawlin has had 26 deaths six being COVID. The staff has been on strike due to conditions and low pay. Recently a resident died due to bed sores caused by lack of trained staffing. Check Register-Guard for further information
Very nice facility. It is only a couple years old and very well maintained. Great employees to work with too. They treat the guests with dignity and respect. Very nice place.
The management was terrible . In all the years of working I have never experienced any thing like it . I didn’t work there for very long . Not because the job it’s self but because all the downsides of being employed by that company . Well the company itself and the care partners weren’t that bad . But the management never took care of anything, they were amongst and creators of unneeded drama, they would work you know halls by your self and so much more . Just be aware any future employees . You will have a terrible experience . The few weeks I was there . I watched so many people leave . Work some where else, you will enjoy life that much more 😊
30 deaths in 5 months do not take your loved ones there.
Front office and Receptionist staff is greatManagement staff is extremely poorEmployees are treated TerriblyUnappreciated very clearly observed by anyone some staff appear to work Double shifts or longer ...This place has some wonderful people That are great. this community has an extensive turn over rate for Staff from what I can tell employees Also appear toBe overwhelmed and very clearly overworked upside To this community Most residents appear to be loved and cared for by some wonderful care staff if they can manage to keep them on as an employee for any period of time
Beautiful community!!! The staff are so great and friendly the Executive Director goes above and beyond to ensure the residents are well care for!!
Previous employer and I got let go 2 days after they got my doctors note for my gallbladder surgery and called me up made up the most ridiculous lie (to cover thier butts for not getting in trouble)and let me go over the phone. It was rude management and rude staff that was very clique. There is alot more to say but Im leaving this here...
Unprofessional. Poor experience. Staff member gave a 5 star review...hmmm. Beware.
