I have had issues with the life guards at night picking and choosing which rules to enforce depending on how busy the pool is and how many different ethnicities are presented. Ive seen Caucasian kids play with pool noodles and the aerobic items and nobody bat an eye while other biracial children try to do it and the lifeguard takes it upon themselves to make the child sit out of the pool and write sentences. Its always the same lifeguards picking on certain kids. The morning staff is AMAZING though so it makes up for the stupid stuff they pull at night.

We only used the pool section, so I cant speak about the gym, daycare, or other amenities offered. However, the pool was enjoyable. They have a waterslide, lap pool, hot tub, and kid area. Its a smaller indoor pool, but enjoyable for the whole family. The lap pool is separated from the main pool, which is nice for the people that want to exercise and not have kids get in the way.

Pretty decent family center, I enjoyed their pool area. The folks at the front desk were kind. The facility could use some updates!

Doling Family Gym is a great place to go. It has a pool, also a basketball court. It also has various classes that you can take.

I was a member here. Today arrived to use the gym and they require you to provide name and phone number before entry. They already have my membership info, so I declined to provide my personal information for their door paperwork that goes to who knows what government office. They told me I was not allowed to enter. Not sure what I am paying taxes and membership fees for if the government is going to try extorting private information from me. Unfortunately that is what this city has become.

I went to Chesterfield not Doling but it was fun and my daughter and gf loved the little lazy river

Very quiet. Helpful employees. The pool can get a little rowdy or crowded on the weekends. Great place for newbies, shy people, or golden years folks who dont need a big gym atmosphere.

Doling Family center has something for everyone. From swimming to playing a game of pool. The staff at Doling are helpful and always have a smile on their face.

They were good and taking temperatures of people before they came in. They were also very nice.

Love taking my son here and he enjoys it too. The pool area is def aimed more towards children, though there is also a lap pool and a hot tub. The kiddie area has a fountain, some sprinklers, a slide and a basketball goal in the deeper end. Its not the biggest aquatic center and it can get crowded quickly.

This pool is not for adults. I used to practically live at Doling when they had an outdoor pool, and it was great. Huge. I was reluctant to try out the indoor pool, but Ive had a free pass for a few years, so last weekend I decided to try it out. Ive never been so uncomfortable. The place is TINY. Its pretty much 3 1/2 feet deep all over except for the lap area, which goes to 8 1/2 feet. That was the only area besides the hot tub for adults. The rest of the pool is definitely for kids. Theres a few little fountains, a neat slide, a basketball goal..I went to the lap side since it was the only spot without children. Then all of a sudden, it was just me, 2 lifeguards, and a mermaid. Talk about awkward. Being guarded by people 10 years younger than you in a 3 ft pool..I went down the slide and dipped out. Ill never come back. Thanks for ruining one of the best parts of my childhood.

Great place to workout and swim

Good facility with a fun swim and splash area. Not as elaborate as the swim facility at Chsterfield (also on Springfield), but pretty darn good. The changing rooms are immediately off the pool area; no freezing cold locker rooms. Nice family changing and shower rooms, thought. Speaking if which: the lockers are also right at the pool area. Your stuff is never oit of your sight. Water is warm and they were playing contemporary music, which was also nice.

This is a great spot to drop into for exercise classes of many kinds. I go for the Silver Sneakers classes and my younger brother goes several times a week to swim. Good for all levels of fitness.

Clean and sanitary. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very rarely do I find it crowded. This week they were having a free week trial for families and thats the most crowded Ive ever seen it. After working out my son and I love playing a couple of games of billiards. Would give it a 5 star if they had a sauna, but hey... Not everything is perfect.

Love love love the lap pool. I go 3x week for a great swim workout. People in the shallow pool do water aerobics.People are friendly and its great to make new friends there as well as visiting with the pool friends. I very much appreciate Doling park.

I enjoy going to the Doling Family Center. The equipment has been very helpful in regaining my strength. I also love to walk the track there

Good fun for familys

Gym: very clean, variety of equipment and in good shape.Pool: during the winter is was still too cold because they left the doors open and the air would tunnel through. Our 3 & 6 year old was safe here in the kid area, unlike their south location which has a whirl pool by the sprayer that sucked my eldest into the deep area.

Only place I go for the gym.

I go here for Zumba every Saturday morning. Liz is a great instructor, very fun and engaging and everyone in the class has a great time. I hate it when I have something that comes up that causes me to miss class!

We go swimming here occasionally. All I know about is the pool area. There is a great slide, a lap pool, a childs area, a deeper area, a hot tub and a few other amenities. As well as a few life guards. Oh! Its inside, cant beat that on a rainy, cold day.

Well I guess they cater to CHILDREN who seem to come first. Also I was just told that the water temperature was 86 degrees.The reviews about the water temperature were that the water was cold.Great price but do I really want to listen to screaming kids? So I will pay more to go to Coxs Meyer Center.

Hosted a childs Bday party there. Indoor pool was great for the kids....the adults loved it too!! Was a fun and inexpensive place! Staff was great! And the party room was huge. We had 20+ kids plus about another 20 or more adults and had plenty of space. Highly recommend.

Great place to work out. My boys love this place and never get tired of it. They keep asking when we could go there again. So twice a week is definitely not enough for them.

Great place to swim and workout!!!

This is such a nice park. We went on their cave tour & its much more than just waking. Bring a change of clothes, pants & long sleeved shirt you dont mind getting dirty & a waterproof camera (perhaps a disposable one). Leave your wallet & phone in the car too. We crawled through the mud & the water. Super fun.

Cheap family membership fee, good gym

Staff is always friendly and helpful on the mornings that I go. Usually not very crowed in the mornings and able to access all the equipment and machines I like to use. I have two complaints: slow to fix machines or equipment when they break down. My other complaint is the pool area: Yes, they do have lifeguards present, but the lifeguards do not pay attention to the patron in the pool (young or old), but spend more time talking to their friends or flirting with each other than doing their assigned jobs. Otherwise this is a nice gym on the North side of town.

Love working out here. A great place to swim during the winter months.

DFC is a large facility catering to all ages and all levels of fitness and activity. The pools (play and lap) are large but lap is only three lanes [Olympic length].One caveat is the weight room is small-medium with mostly machines and too much equipment that blocks the mirrors.However, its clean and everything is moderately updated and well maintained.Im unsure of the value since I did the 15 use package not the yearly membership. If I lived full time in the area I would consider the yearly.If you have kids, they can play in the game room or swim (lifeguards on duty) while you put in some serious effort to better yourself.Lastly, the programs available include yoga and Taekwondo, another excellent option for youth (any age really) to find confidence and release pent-up energy while learning to break boards.All kids should learn martial arts!enjoy!

Dolling Family Center is a great place to work out. Its also has a great swimming pool with water aerobics and great workout room.

We have been going to doling family center for awhile now. We love it. My kids love childcare, the ladies that work there are soooo nice... Family friendly place that I will recommend to anyone.

This is a great facility for different sports and rest.But, unfortunately, its dangerous to use their pool.... ((((There are more than five lifeguards, but they dont ensure order and safety in the pool area.There are two pools, one of them is a lap pool for a LAP swimming. But there regularly is a company of teenagers, who use that lap pool for jumping, running, diving, swimming across all lanes, without regard to other people who swim in these lanes, and other horseplay. In spite of pool rules and that it was time of Guaranteed Lap SwimAnd the stuff of this pool area take no notice of this behavior.I understand that children always want to play and run wild, but it shouldnt to pose a danger for the wider public. It is duty of lifeguards to enforce rules of their pool.Well... As a result, Ive got a punch in my face and eye with an toy which was strongly thrown by one of these teenagers... (((( Its so painful.Fortunately, I can swim very well and I didnt sink because of painful surprise )))Be careful in this pool...General Pool RulesRunning, horseplay, and profanity are not allowed in or around the pool area.Diving is allowed off of the diving boards only. (They are closed)Flotation devices, including life jackets, may only be used when a parent orguardian is in the water, directly and attentively supervising the child.Certified lifeguards are on duty for your safety. Please obey lifeguards at all times. But there are words like:The aquatics division reserves the right to modify these rules at any time to ensure order and safetyMaybe theyve changed the rules?Please, ask your lifeguards to make their job better...for other people wont get any injuries.

Recently I attended a toddlers birthday party at this facility with my 2 nieces, ages 5 & 2. I was happy to see so many lifeguards, but am so thankful I stood just inside the kiddie pool just in case. My 2 yr old niece lost her footing & couldnt get back up. She was drowning RIGHT IN FRONT OF the lifeguard station. I had to rush in & get her while my police officer friend rushed after me yelling to the lifeguard to help her! I grabbed her, got her out while my friends helped bang on her back & make sure she was alright. It was then that a lifeguard came up & asked if she was ok. Thankfully, she was ok & after things calmed down, she wanted to go back in. Im very glad I kept a very close eye on them & didnt rely on the lifeguards. The girls had a blast at this pool & Im planning to take them back. You bet Im keeping a close eye on them! I usually dont leave reviews, but I wanted to share our story because even though the pool is very fun for the kids, Im not quite convinced the lifeguards actually pay attention. So I thought other parents should be aware.

Ive been going to the Doling Fitness Center for 4-5 years now. It has everything I need and the staff is always friendly in the morning that I meet. Really is enough equipment to meet my needs.
