Nice facility. It is a little older, but the staff was very nice and helpful with all the questions we had. It is also nice because this facility seems to act as a headquarters for other Springfield parks and recreational activities!

As i teen going there a lot, there are way to many old creeps there! my 14 year old sister was verbally abused by an older man more then once! and they do nothing about it! they pick on teens and it makes me scared to go there. parents. i dont advise you drop your daughters off alone there. please be careful!

Kids and I really liked the indoor pool. Ive started taking the water aerobics class on Saturdays and they are fun and a great workout.

** DO NOT SUGGEST BOOKING A POOL PARTY**We had a pool party on 9/10/21 from 5:30-7:30. Everything was fine other than them having the wrong amount of sodas in the fridge but when my husband was in the pool we know that there is a 20 people limit and was told by staff we cant have more than 20 but we only had 14 when we first got to the pool and started swimming. Then again a lady came from a room by the pool to ask again how many was in our group and made us count how many was in our group which was 14 and just walked away. She was very rude and scowled at my husband which was unnecessary. I will not book another party here and will not suggest anyone else to book a party unless you enjoyed being interrupted multiple times. Ill be calling in the morning to speak to a manager about how rude the staff was during my sons birthday party when we were at the pool. Poor service and would not recommend a pool party with staff who was so rude.

Staff was fantastic. Little weird you cannot enter party room to set up until 15 minutes before your event... kids loved the pool, we loved the space. Busy on weekends.

Had an awesome day there with our Granddaughter. I have back issues so I walked against the wave area as much as I could and then my husband would help me to the hot tub to loosen up so I could walk on my own again. All staff and visitors were very friendly.

Not crowded. Staff is properly masked. Clean facilities. We [my kids and I] enjoy the pool, walking track and gym.

Way too expensive water looked cloudy, just seemed run down and dysfunctional we were not impressed the atmosphere was dull and for being a first time visitor the reception of us was horrible I dont think we will ever go back and as far as becoming a regular or member no way. Total thumbs down more of a private gym are they really part of our Greene County Parks fix it or stop telling folks to go there they were not friendly, informative, or welcoming someone needs to let the staff know they are not a private country club they are representatives of our community or change them to private members only club and list them as not open to the public as a family center.

Good family center. Before Covid, I went 3x a week to water aerobics and 1 night for yoga. Im not comfortable now going to the pool. I still go to yoga and it is okay. Masks are required to enter the center and they do a temperature check. People are not required to wear masks while exercising. I would like it if they kept the floor cleaning where we do yoga. Before and after yoga they move the bikes in and out of the room without sweeping the floor.

Nice fun place to take the grandkids when is raining and cant go to the outside pool. People were very friendly staff was excellent

Two ten year old grandchildren loved the pool. After two hours in the pool playing and sliding down the slide, they were still not ready to leave. I estimate there were 20 to 30 kids there the whole time.

Clean and well kept but there was so much chlorine in the water the last time I went it was literally burning my eyes and nose.

A great place to go for swimming or exercise. The card machine wasn’t working today and the lady at the main entrance let me in for free. My brother used to work as a lifeguard here and he enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this place especially for families with small children.

I like the pool at Chesterfield Family Center. Its fairly large and has a nice slide. My favorite part though are the family rooms with showers and the swim suit dryer.

We had a fantastic time swimming in the indoor pool. The changing rooms were nice and clean. The pool area was also clean and the water was crystal clear. There were plenty of friendly lifeguards on duty. The slide was a lot of fun but the seems where its put together hurt a little as you slide over them. The staff was very nice. Its a great place!

I love going to Chesterfield Family Center. They have a wide variety of options for individuals to stay fit, whether that be swimming in their indoor pool, exercising in their gym, or taking fitness classes for all skill levels. They also host birthday parties and events, and the staff is very friendly. Definitely a must-see location in south Springfield for individuals of all ages, as well as fitness and recreation enthusiasts.

Chesterfield Family Center is slowly, carefully reopening after COVID 19 closures. Excellent facility and well run. Challenging classes and good equipment for workouts and pool area for laps with water play area for families.

I already enjoyed going here with the family to swim, but we went to a birthday party here for my sons friend and it was great! We will have to do birthdays here going forward. The staff was great, plenty of room in the party room, and for a few bucks extra they provide your own personal MERMAID! This may sound a little girly, but the boys were just as impressed by the mermaid as the girls. AMAZING JOB GUYS!

I went there to play basketball and it wasnt a great experience...the basketball court was poorly maintained and almost caused a couple minor injuries...They need to have the floors buffed and waxed🤔😎✊

I like this place a lot! Honestly the YMCA has more updated equipment but Chesterfield doesnt have the traffic. I have worked out at both, but I have never waited for people to stop talking while sitting at equipment at Chesterfield. Its perfect for a family.

Great pool and plenty of room in the party room. Very clean and the equipment is in great shape. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the lifeguards flirting with each other which is not acceptable when there are little kids to keep an eye on in the pool.

Great facility to work out and swim. Super cheap gym / pool option for the entire family. Place is tucked away in the neighborhood but that’s what makes it nice.

Fun place to go for an indoor pool, rock climbing, indoor track, basketball, events (see their bulletin board, and workouts. When youre finished playing inside theres an outdoor trail and a playground though its lack luster. Lacks a sufficient amount of PokéStops for anyone looking to play Pokémon Go!

I love it place

I love this place but if you get the lifeguard with glasses and a dorky haircut he takes the fun out of everything. I went there with a large group of friends for my birthday and we were screaming and acting like we were scared of the slide. Well we had a girl lifeguard and she didnt care. When this guy came over he said if you scream you will be banned for 5 minutes. So I screamed just to piss him off. Then he said when that clock says 5:00 you can go back on the slide. Well the jokes on him because we only had like 3 minutes left. Again this guy is the worst lifeguard.

My kids love it here. The daycare is great and the workers have always done great with my kids. I love the classes. Its worth every dollar we spent to join.

This is a clean, safe place to take the family indoors year-round for basketball, swimming, track, rock wall climbing (check hours, M-Sat), aerobic machines, and complete weight gym. Its well maintained. Sometimes the staff is not at the desk downstairs, but they are generally helpful if you can track them down.

Love taking the kids to swim hear. Probably the most well maintained pool in Springfield thats indoors. Would definitely recommend.

The clerk was rude. They should have spent more money on the sign showing people where it was. The bank sign next to it was four times as big as the one for the family center ridiculous

Fun space to play for the kids to run off some energy. Their fields seem to be a little swampy, although we werent far removed from a rainy week so maybe thats not the usual. They also have a few picnic tables and pavilions, but the main attraction is the flat space & walking paths. Good open space in that corner of town.

Lots of fun in the aquatic center. Fantastic hot tub! Always therapeutic. Very clean gym and staff if usually pleasant and accommodating.

Pretty disappointing. They advertise it over the phone that they had an indoor swimming pool and a rock climbing wall. The indoor swimming pool was so overly chlorinated that all 10 of the kids at the birthday party were only able to swim for about 20 minutes before they all got out saying that their skin itched and their eyes were blurry and aggravated. They said it was difficult to breathe as well. Poor ventilation and poor chemical use.Plus the rock wall consisted of a couple small strips that was floor to ceiling but the entire setup was only about 12 feet or so wide. A very small setup that really wasnt worth the time.Plus, the price for what we got was pretty ridiculous. We had to pay a charge for the room per hour plus the deposit. Plus $6 per child for each child that we had come. Im pretty sure there was another charge as well but I cant remember for sure. We had the room from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. I was finishing up the room right at 6:30 when the lady came in and told me I needed to hurry up because I was already late. She told me she was going to get me a caddy to do cleaning but it took her almost 10 minutes before she came back with it which put me almost 15 minutes over on my timing.To top it all off the older woman that was working there continued to follow the children around and be harsh with them every time they did something that she didnt like. They were not being disrespectful or rude. They were not using vulgar language. They were not destroying peoples property or causing any issues with the other guests. They were just a bunch of 14 year old kids trying to have a good time. After she snapped at them and told them that the facility was not their home and they could not be running around or being loud I had had enough. I explained to her that the facility was full of physical activities. Basketball. Rock climbing. Ping pong. A swimming pool. Exercise equipment. If the facility is going to allow 10 14 year old kids to have a birthday party there then they should expect the kids to get a little rambunctious. Im a very strict parent and I dont feel that they were going too far whatsoever. If she cant handle some kids being noisy and excited during a birthday party then maybe thats not the job for her. All in all, for what we paid and the service that we got while there, I was very disappointed and I would recommend going somewhere else for your teenagers birthday party.

We’ve done quite a few birthday parties here for our kids. It’s a decent place to rent a room at an affordable price. Not a fan of their clean up policy.

My husband and I are disabled and love to go relax during the day when only adults can swim. But we also take our kiddos to have fun

This is a wonderful place for the family to go. we went just to swim and although it was a little busy, it was still an enjoyable experience. my daughter is 2 years old, and she really loved going there. the staff is friendly and courteous, and the prices are low too. they offer so much for your money.

The pool is great. It is super over priced and they ask for an obscene amount of info to get in. They expect to photograph your child. These photos are kept on a computer that isnt secured. Along with your address and copies of your photo ID.

They have a great kids pool! Biggest I have seen. And the gym is divided up really well. Lots of options and different areas to get your work out on!

Nice facility and very pleasant staff, but you need to be on alert for car break ins.My car had its drivers side window broken and my car interior rummaged thru tonight (2/13/19). Staff indicated. that this continues to happen, maybe not as much as previous but does occur with some regularity.If this is a continual problem as indicated it would be nice to see the Park Department take proactive steps to eliminate, like additional lighting, cameras, security patrols, etc.

If you want to enroll in a gym. This is the prefect please to bring your family to workout and have a blast at the swimming pool. My family enjoys being a member of the Chesterfield Gym. Employees at awesome and you get a warm greeting every time you step in side those doors. Just take the time out to check it out.

The world needs more of these. Greene County Missouri sets the bar really high with their parks programs. They offer so many wonderful programs. Their gym is huge, and the pool is like a mini indoor water park. They also have an awesome outdoor park, and walking trail.

Has a great weight room, cardio facility and indoor pool. There are classes you can sign up for as well and the out door park is well maintained. There may be more services they offer that Im not aware of yet as I mostly just use it for weight training.

Love the pathway and its easy access. Love that the parking area is so close to the playground. I could hear the childrens laughter all the way to my parking space.

Chesterfield Family Center is a great place to work out. The workout room overlooks the pool and is spacious. Chesterfield is good for all age groups and the pool is very big and has a great slide. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

You can pay $22 to take your two kids here to swim for a birthday, and theres a super fun looking water slide, that they refused to let my daughter use. My daughter is one inch shorter than their line to use the slide, and this was her birthday wish. They didnt care. My boy and I did go down, and they made him take his life vest off for safety. The joints in the slide scratched my back on the way down, and it was painful. The lifeguards yell at you if you touch the buoy rope, or get too far away from your kid if they have a life vest on. Dont forget the windows above the pool where a creepy old guy watches your daughter in her bathing suit. It did have water though, so it didnt just get one star. The staff was rude and demanding.

Daughters party and was a good experience. Thought the allotted 1.5hrs would be too short but it was perfect timing. 2 pizzas, cleanup by staff, pool time for kids, and a party room for cake and socializing. Well worth the cost.

The gym is starting to show its age with being around for 10+ years. But the indoor pool is still fun for kids and parents. But compared to other gyms it is still the best.

I would not recommend renting a room for a party here. The room was dirty and the floors had clearly not been mopped in who knows how long. There was absolutely no where to park because of an event they were having (which is fine but they could have let us know ahead of time so we could make car pool arrangements) also along with paying for the room upfront (which is also no big deal) they have you pay a deposit that you shouldnt expect back for at least 3 weeks.. Whats up with that? We were extremely rushed for preparation and clean up, the other places I had looked into offered free set up time.. Not here.. This may seem like its not a big deal but when you have a lot going on for a party and plan every detail its frustrating to have so many inconveniences. It just didnt seem worth the money.

I love this place because of how fun it is for the whole family. They have swimming, work outs, and games. Plus if you dont have a baby sitter while working out your child can swim or go with people that will take care of your child while you work out!

Staff are really nice and accommodating. Equipment is clean. Definitely would recommend to others!
