They skipped my house for the garbage pickup. Been trying to reach them, no luck there. Called main office in Texas, not they’re problem, because that’s not they’re department and why would they care.
This company has absolutely no phone number that works.l needed to give them new information about where to send my bill but tried for an entire day with no luck. How can you run a company without even one receptionist taking calls? Not working for me. Also the website does not work and will not let me create an account and I have been a customer for several years.
I recently moved here and Ive been trying to contact them and I guess absolutely no one works at this company because Ive yet to speak to anyone despite spending an hour a half on hold and calling several times over several days. If you are looking for trash service Id say dont go here but it doesnt matter because they wont acknowledge you anyway.
I was happy with WCA and its service for many years. When my trash was not collected, I called WCA and was on hold for 1 hour and 14 minutes and I finally gave up and hung up. I drove over to the main office in Springfield to discuss my problem but the doors were locked and there was a sign on the door saying this was due to COVID issues. I called again and after being on hold for 15 minutes, I once again gave up. So I e-mailed WCA as my records show my account is current and would they please pick up my trash but didnt hear back from them for 2 days. They called and left a message my trash was not picked up because of a past due balance and if I had any questions to call them - at the same phone number where they never answered my call. So I e-mailed again and cancelled my service. I will NEVER do business with them again.

I have used WCA for several years with no issue. The company that has bought them, GFL, is bad bad bad! They are more expensive, the web site they use is not Safari compatible, and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get any customer service.
They said nothing would change when GFL took over. They now want to charge a $4 fee to pay by automated phone payment each month. For 2 different months I have complained. To pay by phone automatically has been a free payment method for about 10 years...even when WCA took over the prior trash removal . I am very unhappy that they are now wanting to charge a $4
First you call and speak to a very nice person, he will give you the price and details. Ours was 1 week, drop off on Friday and pick up the next Friday. When it had not been picked up we called many times and no one returned our call. Then another week goes by and finally they answer the phone. The same guy is very rude, tells us we have to pay extra for having it longer. My wife goes over and over the terms and asks him to pull the call, since they record them. He hangs up on her. She calls again and asks for the manager, they guy says he is in a meeting and hangs up. Finally they call us back and tell us they will not charge the extra fee and pick up the container. This place has NO customer service. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Well our trash is supposed to be picked up on Mondays like our neighbors. They never showed up to get anyones Trash. My husband called them Tues after he got off work to see what the problem was. He was disconnected twice and when he finally did get a live person she was going to schedule this an extra pickup. He told her they never showed on mon to get the trash and she informed him policy dictates they be called before noon the next day my husband told her he was unaware of this policy and wants it taken off our bill. She said our trash would not be picked up until the next scheduled day which is on this coming Monday. They have changed their name but service quality is lacking.
This is the worst trash service ever. I’ve had this service for almost 3 months and they’ve only pick up my trash about 4 times. I’ve called them almost every week to tell them they’ve forgot our trash and then will still forget it. Today will be three weeks since they last picked it up so I called them to remind them to get it and still didn’t. Don’t waste your time getting this service, extremely stressful to deal with.
We switched to WCA because they offered a discount for members of our HOA. So far our service has been perfect - we were given a direct contact at WCA and they were very responsive when we contacted them about switching from our old service provider. Additionally, they were MUCH less expensive that our prior provider (Republic/Allied Services) and we are now paying for a year what we previously paid for 3 months. I do update my reviews as needed, but so far we have have had excellent service from this company and very much appreciate the cost savings!
Ordered trash service over 6 weeks ago and still no trash cans. Whomever they use for third party to deliver cans needs to be replaced. It is unacceptable service.
Terrible. Do not go with this company. I used them for a commercial account, I have set up autopay like five times and confirmed they have it and every single time they don’t charge the card and then tell me my account is past due and send me an insane bill. There’s no customer service. They always transfer me to Mark the springfield dispatch guy. Never once has he called me back or answered the phone when I call. If I could give them less than a one star I would.
Received a call nearly two years after ending service from a collection company saying I owed a late bill. I never received any phone calls, letters, or other notification saying I was past due. Company had no records either.
If I could give ZERO or half a star I would. From day one this company has been poorly ran. First of all when we first started our service after buying the home, they picked the cans a week after they dropped them off because the prior owners ended their account. Next, when they changed their billing and payment system, which is also awful, upon successful payment there was no feedback showing the payment was received, so we tried again, inadvertently making 2 payments. I was able to find a payment page and Cancel the extra payment, but the transaction went through anyways. When we called to get our money back they were rude and said Well I guess you are paid up for 6 months. That is not their decision to make, it is my money! They then proceeded to say that they need to see a bank statement so I can prove they took 2 payments!!?? It is a bug in their system, I do not I do not need to prove anything to you, as a software engineer this is highly unacceptable in my field. After numerous attempts at getting our funds back they finally said they would release the funds, but we never saw the transaction in our bank statements
Literally the most unprofessional, rude people to deal with. Our bill is paid, in fact we had a credit on the account but they decided to cancel our service without telling us, and then said they will only comeGet our trash (while still making us wait another week) if we pay another 3 months of service that isn’t even due yet. We informed them we are just going to cancel our service with them, and they are refunding our credit. Horrible customer service if I could I would give negative stars.
We’re going on 4 weeks with no trash pick up. I can’t reach them by phone or email. I understand this is weather related, but please communicate with your customers about the situation. We had 10 days of bad weather...one month of no service. I would expect this from a fly-by-night trash service, but not a well-established company. Major fail WCA!

Fine as far as removing the trash. Not great with their billing. I had a card on file to be charged, they didnt charge it, and never told me the account was past due. They canceled my service and took my barrel. Charged me $15 to get the barrel back. Im switching services.
They have double charged me, and raised my bill on me COUNTLESS times without notice and Im sick of this.
I have been a customer of WCA trash pickup for years. I have always received outstanding and professional service from those driving the trucks. I think allot of us dont realize the importance of their work which leads us to under appreciate the service that they perform. I dare to say that most of us would not do their job!
I dont think this business is no longer open. All the one star reviews: theyre actually asking customers to blast our personal contact information to resolve any issues.
We had a snowstorm almost 3 weeks ago and eve though every other trash service has driven safely up and down our street, WCA deemed it too dangerous to pick up trash for 3 weeks. It’s over 40° for the 5th day in a row, the snow has melted and yet, it’s still too dangerous on the roads to come pick up our trash and they REFUSE to give us a credit! They’ve lied to us twice now saying to leave our bin out by the street and they will pick it up by Saturday evening. Nope, didn’t even try. Save yourself frustration, sour customer service and choose another service.
They do not communicate well. I ended up canceling my service 2 months ago and barrel is still sitting at my house.

Showed up to work this morning to find out a customer parked in front of our dumpster on trash day so it didnt get done and of course is over flowing. So I called Big Jim to see what I can do to get it done and he pulled through! Gave me the right number to call and there coming out tomorrow to do it for us. Do not use this company for your garbage services! The customer service department is non existant and you will only receive a voicemail if you try and contact them. If they do decide to return your call they are very uncaring and refuse to correct any type of billing error they cause ( even though they will lie to you on the phone by tell you it has been corrected). You will receive many recorded phone calls ( not a live person) threatening to send you to collections for money that you dont even owe! Save yourself the trouble and find a company that actually knows what they are doing!

We have our residental trash picked up on Thursdays, usually between 3-4. I was confused about the Labor Day schedule, if you would still pick up on Thursday or because of the Holiday, pick up on Friday. Well, it was after 4, so I went and brought the receptical back to the garage. I figured it will just pick up tomorrow. While I was out mowing the front yard, I saw the truck turn the corner. So I took off running to the garage to get the trash. The driver passed my house, but then backed up because he saw me running and figured out what I was doing. That was the highlight of my day. He was so nice. I wish all people were as considerate as the driver. Thank you!
Worst trash service Ive ever used. Bills are regularly inaccurate, trash cans are removed with no warning or reason even with current payment. They are impossible to get ahold of in the Springfield area. They will not leave their truck to collect any extra bags on most occasions (even though they tell you a couple extra bags are ok).I dont recommend them to anyone who has an alternative option. There is a reason they have a low rating on Google Maps.
I paid for 3 months of service, after 1 month, recieved the bill with no due date on it. Clearly I still had 2 more months but alas, they took my cart 2 weeks later and 3 weeks after that I recieved a notice from a collection company for $18. They dont even attempt to explain their poor business practice, they will rudely just tell you that you owe them more money when you dont. Thanks alot WCA, gas lighting is not the service I paid for.
WCA has poor customer service. I have called and left three voicemails because I was trying to pay my bill. Their phone line is always busy with a high call volume. They always ask you to please leave a message and someone will get back to you ask soon as possible. They have not called me back. I have left several emails as well. My trash guy is awesome, customer service and management is not. This company really needs to re-evaluate their position on customer service.
Absolutely impossible to get a hold of any customer service agent. Tried to cancel my account months ago when I moved out of my house, and received a voicemail the other day of past due bills. I have waited on hold several times and left voicemails and emails. After 3 separate weeks of waiting on hold each time and talking to 3 separate agents each time I was told different information every time, so still unaware of what information is correct. I would not recommend this trash service to anyone.
Ive requested a second trash can a month ago. Ive paid my bill a few days ago.They say itll be here this week but I have my doubts. I have a full trash can at the curb and animals have gotten into it everyday this past week. On top of that i have a weeks worth of trash on my porch.if the extra trash can isnt delivered this week I will be be seeking legal council against WCA
DO NOT USE. Im now at week 4 of them not picking up my trash. I have actually double paid my bill because they applied it to my old account and instead of arguing, I just paid it again. That was 3 weeks ago and they still havent picked my trash up. Ive called numerous times. After a very long wait on hold, I get forwarded to a voicemail. Ive left them 3 messages and have never received a call back. I went up to their office but they are closed to the public.At this point, I have no choice but to just leave the can in their parking lot.
Move to a new neighborhood that only allows this company! Tried getting it set up before we moved no one answers the phone! Call three days in a row with nothing done. But you can bet they came and got their trashcan! Lousy sorry customer service! Three days of leaving voicemails And not a single call back. There’s lots of good local companies! Don’t waste your time with these guys. I’m trying to get our subdivision to switch.

WCA skips picking my recycling up about once every other month. When I call them, I have to leave a voicemail, to which Ive never received a call back. Once, a woman picked up and said I should have called that day so theyd run back and take care of it, however, Ive never gotten them on the phone the same day as their mistake. When I expressed concern that Im paying for something Im not receiving, they said I wouldnt be given a prorated bill and that if I dont get in touch that day, theres nothing to be done. Im only still with them because theyre the cheapest and they offer large recycling containers. Other than that, theyre the worst.
WCA randomly skips weeks of picking up my trash for no reason. Ive left multiple voicemails and multiple emails for a week and STILL have not gotten a reply or response back. How can a company possibly operate this poorly for this long? Out of 44 reviews (as of today) when you have a 1.9 star rating you would think they would change something? Then the company replies to many negative reviews, telling them to call them so that they can resolve their issue. If no one answers the phone or returns a phone call/email what good is that going to do?? TERRIBLE customer service, about as bad as they get.
A truly abysmal service. I have no issue with the people who pick up the trash, but with the company itself. I cancelled my service in February, and yet they continued to pester me with emails and phone calls about an overdue bill, despite me cancelling my service and paying my last bill. I finally gave in and paid the bill for a service I wasnt using just to get them to leave me alone. Then they end up emailing and calling me again, and said I had more to pay. Absolutely untrustworthy and annoying. Avoid if possible.
Switched to WCA several months ago after seeing that most of my neighborhood used them. I couldn’t be happier. I love calling there and taking to someone in Springfield, not out of state. Great prices, excellent customer service and reliable pick-up. Extremely happy I switched to WCA!!!!
If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. For as far as being a trash company, they’re on point. Our dumpster was taken without any warning in advance despite us being on time with payments. We have tried multiple times to speak to someone, only to be told all lines are busy, which is NOT true. We leave countless voicemails with no response. I’d be ashamed to work here.
I have tried for almost a month now to set up residential service. Ive called multiple numbers, left multiple emails with NO response. Im starting to wonder how they stay in business? Whats even more strange is I also inquired about a commercial trash service for the business and got a call immediately about that. However that gentleman told me he couldnt help with residential.
Horrible service. I waited 7 days for a call back. I also emailed them and never heard back. When I finally called again and got someone on the phone, they were rude and not helpful. After having their service for 4 years and having MULTIPLE issues (skipped service, auto-drafting issues, picked up my can instead of a neighbors and refusing to bring out a new one until over a week later, etc) Ive decided to change companies.

Ive used WCA for almost 10 years. The holidays were skipped but understandable (disappointed that I was charged for 2 weeks of no service especially with the holiday trash). But Im really upset I got a phone call reminder that I didnt pay my bill...one. And I thought I did. It was an honest mistake. They came and hauled my bin off. Im going to take advantage of this opportunity to switch. Ive seen better service elsewhere for years, but Ive regrettably remained loyal. They are too busy servicing the HOAs to care about the ordinary houses.
We have had service with WCA for the last 2 years. Unfortunately, I have been very disappointed with their timeliness, quality of service, and their customer service. They are not a business who is there for the customer in any way. In my experience, they do not make an effort to provide great service and the communication from customer service is poor. They give fees for every little thing. Their website is terrible - trying to set up online payments is a nightmare and it is not easy to even find where to do that.

Wca obviously doesnt care about customer satisfaction.Would like to add how its been weeks since my first review and have been called 2 times after their business hours and completely automated telling me to call during business hours, which I called at 8 oclock the next day and guess what still no answer. Bunch of theifs is all this company is. Ive spoke with BBB to ensure they are aware of their customer service. Just received another automated call from them at 5:50, thats 50 min after they closed to tell me they sent my bill to a collection agency. Please whatever you do, find another trash service and save the trouble of being taken advantage of.
Have not had any issues with pick up for years. My only complaint is that trash service increases annually. Every year they charge more and more...I wonder how much higher it will go? So disappointing. Otherwise I have not had any issues with service. Just the constantly changing price.Update: I am giving them 5 stars because I did call to cancel due to price increases and they gave me the rate for a new customer which I highly appreciated.
Unacceptable service from this company. After a billing error was completely taken care of, the company proceeds to take my trash can, and then admit to me that they made a mistake, but unfortunately there is nothing they can do for a whole week. So my trash is supposed to pile up waiting for them to deliver a new trash can.
If youre not dumping a full dumpster I wouldnt go here. There is a 60 dollar minimum and the lady running the counter is rude.

You can hardly ever get someone on the phone and when you do its just poor customer service. Missed pick ups as well. Plus, the hydraulic system on the front of their truck sprayed something all over the front of my driveway/road area. Been trying for over 2 months to get them to come take care of it. They keep blowing me off. Finally chose to leave WCA and find a better service.*Update: its been at least two weeks since the company responded to my review and has yet to contact me about coming out and taking care of the mess that their truck made in front of my driveway. Looks like their response was just to placate my review. Not to actually take responsibility for their actions.

This is breaking the law, and not in accordance with the EPA. SECTION 243.200-1. I am reporting to the EPA, and your poor business practices to the attorney general office. I can’t even cancel my service because you won’t call me back! I want my last payment back too, because this has happened numerous times!

When I did they refused to cancel our service because I wasnt on the account (it was under my wives name, but Ive dealt with the bills for years and shes got the flu). Stubborn intransigence from a jobsworth instead of assisting a customer to get a simple task done.
They dont show up on the correct day or at all. We started leaving our trash out all week. The prices continuously go up. We gave them the benefit of the doubt for 2 months ended up switching. Just terrible really.

Affordable, easy to get ahold of if you need any help, trash is always picked up in a timely matter, never have had any issues what so ever, efficient workers that are kind, and professional. Thank you for being a fantastic company!!
DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY. I tried to cancel my service upon moving out of my residence multiple times and after a year of moving I was still getting bills I was unaware of. I then receive a call out of the blue that they have sent my bill to collections due to a non-payment. I call in to their customer service line and the only line they give me is there is nothing I can do to help. I will NEVER give these people another dime.

Customer for 9 years, most times paid 3 to 6 months in advance with never a service suspension or late payment issues. Received a one month bill on May 12, on June 3, our service was cancelled for non payment. Tried repeatedly to call with no responses from WCA. Driver told us that we are listed as bad account. Goodbye WCA.

Blatantly lied to by a representative about when I can cancel service was never informed that you have to cancel on the last day of the month to top that off the last representative I spoke with was incredibly rude and lacking in customer service skills would not reccomend this company if it were the last trash company in my city
They bill every 3 months and thats ok but if you dont see the bill they will just send you off to collections for non payment even after years of loyalty. Not sure what the deal is but I wouldnt and wont use them again. Even tried to call to get it worked out and it was like i was bothering them.
My trash can went missing and my bills are current. I have tried calling customer service numerous times just to sit on hold for 30+ minutes before giving up. I need my dumpster back immediately but I’m not able to get through to anybody! I have left vms and sent emails without a reply. I will be canceling my service as soon as I can talk to a human.
Worst customer service by far. They came abruptly and took our container because we were supposedly short $10 on the account but no one from wca ever said anything and no notice was ever given. I have already paid for a full month of trash service. What a bunch of crooks wca is.

Because youve found it.Ive reluctantly been a WCA customer for the past 2 and a half years, and it has been problematic almost every single time my bill has come due.The website offers a convenient auto-pay option, but beware, it will burn you. First of all, once you sign up for the auto-pay, your next bill doesnt get paid by the auto-pay. Nope, you have to manually pay the bill the next time, and thennnn the auto-pay kicks in. Youre lucky I told you, because their customer service didnt tell me. And when your bill comes due and you think the auto-pay has you but it doesnt, you think WCA will let you know? Well they will. Theyll send you an email notifying you and then take your bin a day or 2 later, regardless of whether youve responded.The fun doesnt stop there. The same thing will happen if your card expires. And Im not exaggerating, I received an email notifying me of a card expiration Tuesday night, and as of now (Thursday afternoon) my bin is gone. My bad for not monitoring my personal email closely enough.But, surely its not all bad right? I mean, they can always bring the bin back. However, its gonna take a cool 3 weeks for you to actually get your bin back. Heres how itll happen: first you call, make your payment, set up auto-pay again, whatever, and they say they cant get a bin to you until the next time the truck comes by, which is probably next week. Then next week will roll around, trash day will come and go, and you will still be bin-less. Then you have to wait until the next day to call them (since they have pitifully limited customer service hours), wait on hold with all the other frustrated customers, and eventually youll get a rep. The rep wont be able to find anything about your account, and once youve told them your history with the company and they eventually find a receipt or something for you, theyll say ok, well youll get your bin next week, cant be any earlier. At that point youve got about a 50% chance of getting a bin the next week, otherwise youll just need to repeat the whole process.Hey, did you need more info on this company? Because I have more. Sometimes people move, as I have. WCA will let you set up a time to stop service at your address, and then pick that service back up at your new address. This is a nice feature IN THEORY. What will really happen, is that after setting this whole new address thing up, the customer service rep will take all the info youve given them, ball it up, and eat it. Your old address will continue to have trash service after the cutoff date, and a bin will never arrive at your new address. What youll need to do then is call them back and set the whole thing up all over again. When you call, they wont have any info about your account, it will be a chore for them to figure out how to set you up, and its going to take you at least 2 weeks to get a bin. Noticing a pattern?This company may be a cheaper option, but you get what you pay for, and when you sign up with WCA youre signing up for a headache EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. YOUR. BILL. IS. DUE.
They have missed my tradh twice since i started with them 3 months ago and when you have a problem dont contact you back at all. Oh and to add to it i paid my bill and they still picked up my trash can.
This company has gotten much worse recently. As others have stated, rural service was not done at all Christmas week or new years week. On top of that, my container was missing so I called for a new one on December 13. Here I am today on Jan 9 still with no container after 3 phone calls to WCA. I informed them that January is my last month and am switching to JL disposal which my neighbor uses.

Skipped my pickup, I live in a fourplex and have always left my dumpster at the end of the gravel driveway because I cant push it up the hill to the front of the house as Im pregnant and its too heavy and too steep of a slope. they have always picked it up before. This time they did not pick it up at all. Of course that means 2 days of built up garbage and possibly having to drive to pay to dump it because they missed me.
Used WCA for residential and several construction projects. I would recommend them to anyone needing trash for their home or a roll off dumpster for larger projects.
