Our flight times were spot on for what we wanted. He set us up with a helicopter tour of Maui and a great Luau and also had knowledge enough to make recommendations of great things to do in Maui. Travis at 417 Travel has been supplying us with trips to Iberostar in Cozumel for several years. They have taken care of us and the hotel is improving with age. The food and wine is better and they service our requests when things need fixing. Dressel Divers are great SCUBA instructors at their fully stocked rental equipment dive shop.

This was our first time working with a travel agent and traveling to an overseas all inclusive resort. We wanted to travel to Aruba but during Covid we wanted to be careful. I wanted to keep my business local and not have to be kept on hold for hours if I had questions and speak to an agent thousands of miles away. 417 travel has a very good reputation in Springfield so I reached out to them. Let me first say their reputation is well deserved our agent was Courtney. It was one of the best vacations we have taken! We had to jump through some hoops with Covid testing there and back but it was worth it. I had many question before our trip and while we were out of the country and Courtney answered my questions quickly either by text or email and made sure we got all the necessary information to get there and come home. We also needed a hotel room as we were flying out a 5:30am and she booked that as well. I think the hardest part of my vacation was packing my suit case.

In the Beginning all was well. Brandon planned a trip for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. It was for our family of 8 to playa del Carmen, the Fives. (which is claimed to be an all inclusive but it is not ALL-inclusive)Flights went well and the trip was going great!The Second night a water drain outside malfunctioned and all 4 rooms and condos flooded, water was literally coming down from the ceiling in the bathrooms and all over floors. The front desk was not being very helpful so in desperation we reached out to Brandon to see what we should do. He responded in a timely manner and told us there was nothing he could do. I told him that was disappointing because we were in panic and did not know what to do with ourselves and flooded rooms. Anyway, after I sent that to him. He sent a very unprofessional response back saying that he had spent hours on our vacation and had worked hard to get our rooms together and said “you’re welcome” and at the end of his text wrote “Bummer.” So here we are in a different country not getting help from resort and the one person we thought we could reach out to for some advice or help was very arrogant and sarcastic.Also, we felt like there were tips that he could’ve given to us to make our time at the resort a little smoother.Anyway, I’m sure he’s a nice guy and was in the beginning. He was responsive to emails in timely manner and answered questions I had right before the trip. We just feel like once he got the check and the vacation was paid for he cut ties and was done with us. When you’re in a different country and having an TERRIBLE issue with a flooded/musky smelling condo you don’t want to feel like you have been totally neglected or talked to RUDELY by your travel agent.

After our wonderful experience with 417 Travel - specifically with Krystyn Badley - we will DEFINITELY be using (and recommending!) this agent and agency in the future. From the first conversation Krystyn and I had back in January to book our family vacation, I felt immediately relieved that we had a travel agent who could find us the best deal (way better than what I was able to find on my own), could offer us quality travel insurance, and who could find out the answers to my many questions, especially in regard to traveling during 2021.There are too many positives to mention about Krystyn, so Ill only highlight a few. First and foremost, she worked with our group of 8 (two families of 4) to get us a deal to a tropical location that was within budget and hit all of our wants in an all-inclusive. She went above and beyond to answer our questions, reassure us about the investment of travel insurance, and keep in touch with us about any changes, especially in regard to safety during the pandemic. Because of Covid and a few unexpected resort re-opening challenges, we recently found out through customer reviews and some digging that Krystyn did on our behalf that our originally-planned resort would not be what we had hoped. Krystyn patiently and quickly worked with us to create new options. Because of Krystyn (and the fantastic-ness that is Travel Insurance), we were able to switch our travel plans to an alternative resort/place at our same travel dates. We havent yet taken our vacation, but we feel confident it will be a wonderful experience.Krystyn also gave us a way to contact her during our vacation in case we run into any problems. This kind of customer-service cannot be beat. When you have limited time to travel and spend so much money on that travel, you definitely want it to be a good experience. Going through a travel agency for this vacation has already proven to be our best decision.This review is not about our vacation specifically because we have not yet travelled, but I wanted to give a huge shout-out to Krystyn for working so hard for our family to plan this vacation.

I had to ask if they would put a sign on our door and ask for the candle lit dinner we spoke about and then had to provide our marriage license because they didn’t know it was our honeymoon. The food was terrible and that was our main top decision in choosing a resort. From the start we had problems with our trip being cancelled, which I had to call you about and then you told me. I know that was out of everyone’s control but I called the week before just to double check everything with our flights in case times had changed and found out we were not sitting next to each other on the plane and had to pay an extra $200 to sit next to each other since we had never flown before. Overall we made the most of it but we were extremely disappointed.

This was my first opportunity to book my travel arrangements through 417 Travel. Brandon was extremely helpful making all of the arrangements and answering all of my questions. We travelled to Punta Cana and stayed at the Secrets Cap Cana resort. Everthing was perfect! The service from resort staff was the best Ive experienced. The first evening at the resourt I snapped this photograph of the full moon over the Carribean Sea, and just above the pool at the resort, surrounded by palm trees. A beautiful scene! I experenced no concerns for my safety at all in light of the negative news coverage about Americans in Punta Cana. The people are genuine and the views and sites are magnificent. From my experience I believe the media has really overstated the cause for concern. I would travel there again anytime. Thank you 417 Travel!

Oh my goodness these people are awesome! We want to travel EVERYWHERE so they help us find ideas within our budget. Last year it was a cruise... last minute of course. The knowledgeable staff made sure we got placed in a great room that was good for first time cruisers. I do wish they could have helped more with choosing excursions (because some are just not good in real life) but I know they can’t personally go on every offered excursion on every cruise they offer lol. Amity is helping us plan our 2021 cruise right now, couldn’t be happier! She’s one of the best!
