Beware! If you are not exactly on time they won’t get you in! We were speeding all the way to try to get to our appointment on time only to be told well if you’re late then all we can do is a haircut.We picked this place for my fiancé to get some pampering before our wedding on Sunday.I tried to explain to the girl that we were trying to get there but it seems they like to overbook.So if you’re traveling and want some pampering either be 10 minutes early or pray that there isn’t a wreak or anything on the highway.Very disappointed for an appointment that was going to cost over $60.

This is the best barbershop I’ve ever been to. The staff is wonderful. It’s obvious the owner cares about culture. Kara is my go to but I’ve had Tanis a couple times when Kara was out. Do yourself a favor and become a member. It’s a great value for what you pay per month.

I had an exceptionally good visit there with my daughter... Even though it was a barber shop, they took on the challenge to cut my 12 year Olds hair!!! And the basement bar was a beautiful site and takes u back to the old days... Will suggest a hair cut to many...

I cannot recommend this barbershop more. They have the coolest vibe/aesthetic out of any place in Springfield. All of the barbers are fantastic. They are nice, social, and without a doubt great at actually cutting hair! I highly recommend this place!

My barber was Mike, from the setting up of the appointment to the finished result it was the best experience I could have asked for. He was very informative and honest, will definitely be coming back to get another cut from him

This is my husbands new favorite place in Springfield. I booked him for the Gentlemans Due for a Fathers day treat because hes never had a full pamper session and it was such a hit! Shayne took care of him and gave him the best and closest straight razor shave and fade hes ever had in his life. Ive seen my husband get fades from so many shops, salons, and barracks on and off base and this is by far the best fade Ive ever seen. My husband has never felt so attended to and has never looked better. Shaynes friendliness, attention to detail, and passion for his craftsmanship is absolutely phenomenal and a huge reason why we will come back to Dapper again and again. Come to Dapper to experience barbershops like you never have before and ask for Shayne, you wont be disappointed!

Michael took great care to cut my beard just the way I wanted it, even though it took three times to get the shortness (he was patient and kind enough to let me do baby steps) I wanted. Great place to go, very historical and manly!!

One of the best haircut experiences I have ever had. Im a huge fan of getting to kick back with a drink while waiting, seeing as after work is my most likely time to get a haircut. The atmosphere from start to finish was relaxing and friendly. Kara took what I said I wanted and turned it into a clean an professional look on my head. If you want to really treat yourself when you get a haircut, this is the place.

A friend of mine treated me to a haircut, shave, and beard trim here. I was a little apprehensive at first, as I usually just cut my own hair with trimmers or go to the cheap chain places. Call me a convert now, though. Tanis did amazing work - I’ve never looked like this after getting a haircut. I couldn’t replicate what he did to my hair or my beard if I tried (and neither has anyone else who’s ever cut my hair). I’m definitely going back, most likely with a membership. If all you know about getting a haircut is a chain in a strip mall somewhere, definitely give this place a visit.

Just. WOW!! Superior service, Irresistible charm and Amazing atmosphere!! Literally every aspect of this enjoyable environment is well planned, intensely thought out and brilliantly executed. From the attire in which the stylists are dressed to the leather aprons to the Enfield style rifle mounted above the chair to the distinguished gentleman style ambience and the air seductively seasoned with leather, old books and bourbon.I wish I could give more than just five stars.

You ever miss the old west? Stepping in here is like a completely new environment to me. I loved it! Not only was my haircut perfect but also felt at home even though I had never been there before! My first experience/impression was great. Probably one of the best haircuts I’ve gotten. I was extremely impressed. Great barber, kind, good conversation, etc. Everything was perfect. (6 star review for him)When I set my appointment the second time, I forgot to ask for the same guy. Which is my fault. I remembered as soon as I got off the phone, but I had already scheduled for the next available time.My second haircut, 3 weeks later, was like the opposite of what I asked for. I was very specific about the instructions (the exact explanation I gave the first barber). They were super kind, but I got a high and tight instead of a fade. And they brought it so high that I look funny. The face towel was also a way hotter than the first. The barber asked if I liked it, but at that point there was nothing they could do to fix it. So, I just told them it was fine. When I got home, my girlfriend was equally upset about how my hair looked. Especially, because I was about to take family photos.(1 star for the second)I called to see if, maybe, the first barber I got could try to fix it (which it’s not fixable, I’ll have to let it grow for a month or so.) No one answered, so I left a kind message, not wanting to get the person in trouble. I even wanted to pay to get it fixed. 🤷🏼‍♂️ No one ever returned my call.I imagine that this might be sort of a fluke, but I’m just really disappointed that I have to keep this haircut for a while. I guess maybe, keep your glasses on while getting your haircut. Even if you give a detailed explanation, you may want to reiterate what you want with emphasis.

I just received the worst haircut and attempted beard trim Ive ever had in my life. He cut me four times on my neck with the Clippers. Did not shave my neck after he clippers to shave under my neck where he cut me, did not give me a beard trim on my cheekbones after I asked him to use a straight razor to clean up all the edges and Im not happy with the haircut at all even though I told him three times what I wanted. Ive also never had so much hair left on me after a haircut. Hair everywhere

Congratulations for you who appreciate them taking their time. My daughter took her dad in for a hair and beard trim. They were supposed to pick me up from work since I let them use my car to take him. They told him they needed to get out of there by 4:30, and why, he said he didnt care. Its after 5 and they are still there - by the way, he started the beard trim at 4:00 and still isnt done??? Really? That is ridiculous in my opinion - I can go to one of the best salons in town and have my hair cut and colored in less time than that. I think he being slow on purpose and reportedly has been really rude. Not my favorite place right now - never again if I have my say.

First off, the ambiance is Great!!! The service is Great!!! If only the skill of the barber I had was as great. My time at Dapper was in total disappointment at my haircut, my tapeline was not touched up like it needed to be. The cut was terrible, for the money you just expect better.

We loved this exquisite experience. While my husband got a shave and haircut, I went down to their cocktail bar for a coconut beer. Such a lovely atmosphere and the service was so pleasant. I had the same 70s style haircut for 2 and a half years, after being much afraid of getting so much hair cut off I must say that they pulled it off beautifully! Would highly recommend to any male out there wanting to just go over the top and beyond and make their hairstyle look manly. This is the ONLY place I go for my haircut nowadays. My haircuts from here have gotten me many compliments. They are the only people that will actually listen to what you want and not chop off all of your hair after asking for just a trim. The guys are incredibly professional and fun to banter with.

Dapper is a fantastic shop. Their online scheduling/mobile app makes it very convenient to book appointments with no hassle. I appreciate their attention to detail even on the simplest of cuts like mine, instead of the cut as many as fast as I can approach that a lot of shops have. The atmosphere of the shop makes the experience very laid back, and enjoyable for something that I consider a chore to make time for. Very highly recommended.

Maybe I got the intern but this was hands down the worst haircut Ive gotten in the US. $43 inc. tip to leave looking like Beaker from The Muppet Show. To quote the barber the good news is that it will grow back. Maybe request a senior staff member if you want to gamble your money here.

The shop itself is well kept and gives off a real 1930s barber shop feel, and the services are well priced. The hair cut I received was awesome very easily the best one Ive ever received. I went in to get my haircut here for the first time, and if there were one were to perfectly encapsulate my thoughts on my experience, it would be YIKES. I was concerned going into this about how much I would be paying, $28 for a haircut is no cheap prospect. I ease myself into it by thinking that is HAS to be the best haircut you could get for that price, right?WRONG. Im sorry to say that the man who I was unfortunately given the (dis)pleasure of having cut my hair, seemed to be very overconfident. Almost scientifically explaining how my hair works, I was lured into a false sense of security that this man truly knew what he was doing, and I hoped for the best.I feel as if the barber, who shall remain nameless for his sake, let his own ego and artistic vision cloud his judgement on what I, the paying customer and sole owner of the hair, truly wanted. I returned home attempting to salvage my hair into a style that yet somewhat resembled what it had been to no avail. It was butchered and ruined for the foreseeable future. I do not recommend this barber shop, they offer only high prices and disappointment.

The guys did a good job giving me a haircut and shaving my face. I went here since it was recommended by a friend. He seems to have good hair so I went for it. My issue is it took me 2 hours to get a shave and a haircut and it was $63. If you are into spending that kind of money and time on something that will eventually grey and/or fall off then by all means this is your place. If not, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. As I said, I do like my haircut though and they are very professional so just take what I say with a grain of salt.

Just like the name this is a classy, high end barber shop. The barbers, atmosphere and look are all clean and fresh. Youre well treated and accomadated nicely. A simple cut is regularly priced but there are more amenities you can ask for and get a full-service like hair washing, steam towels, hot razor shaves and many more. Theres a membership that while expensive gives many features with some outside the barbershop. The barbers are well seasoned and really good and different types of hair. I get a cut every month or two and this is my goto shop.

This is an awesome place. The guys are all very laid back and it is easy just sit around and shoot the breeze. I always get my cut done by Micah, hes a cool dude. Lots of history and character to the shop, plus theres free beer if thats your thing.

I went through radiation and my hair is falling out. I just was walking by and went in. They shaved my head pretty immediately. The environment is awesome if I were a guy, I would totally want to go there!!!

My wife and I just moved here to Springfield a little over a year ago for work from a large metropolitan city and I have to say, Dapper is absolutely one of the gems of Springfield. Best hair cutt in town with many other services such as shoe shines/shaves etc. If you’re new to Springfield, it’s also a great place to connect and network with young professionals with just a really cool vibe.. Dapper is simply the best barbershop Ive been to. Ive had haircuts with Sean, Micah, and TJ and they all take haircuts to the level of art. They do for haircuts what Apple has done for mobile phones. Seriously, its a craft for these fellows, and theyre all completely dedicated. If you live in Springfield or are just passing through, it would be a missed opportunity not to get your hair cut there.

Ive gotten my hair cut at most of the shops in town and Dapper is, by far, the best. I was a loyal client of Hudson Hawk (who gives a good cut as well) until my girlfriend bought my a membership here for my birthday. I got a haircut (The Regal) and a shave (The Noble) by Sean Brownfield. This was the best haircut Id ever gotten. He took the time to talk with me and learn my particular style preferences and then made sure the style I preferred would be ideally cut for my head shape. He even made recommendations on clothing that I had been curious about.There are a couple reviews that complain about the price, I feel that the membership rate is generous, given that you can get unlimited touch-up trims throughout the month. I look at the cost on a value basis, and this whole experience is worth far more than the cost of the membership.

I showed up at 8:15 pm when I arranged to be there, waited all day for the appointment and the only guy there tells me to reschedule. Doesnt ask when works or anything, first tells me to wait an hour then tells me eh probably just reschedule and proceeds to cut the guys hair he was with like nothing happened.

In my opinion this is the best barbershop in Springfield. I got an excellent haircut, and the best shave I have ever had. As a person who enjoys a good wet shave, this was great. The club membership is definitely the way to go.

TJ Morgan is my go to barber at dapper. I spent years thinking I was getting a good haircut from a woman at a hair salon. Got my hair cut by TJ at dapper and now I cant imagine letting anyone else touch it. You want to look like anyone on TV or in the magazines? This guy knows how to do it. Perfect cut every time. As well as advice for maintenance. The barbershop itself is very unique and brings you back to the turn of the century with old style register and chairs. Some crooner music in the background. So drop in, sit down, grab a beer and get an awesome cut. Best barber in Springfield by far.
