CarX installed a new subframe on my 2006 Ford Escape due to rusting. It appears the work was top notch. There are no known complications at this time. I tried to have my local Ford dealer perform the work, but was told the subframe part was obsolete and they could no longer order it. CarX obtained the part, performed the work when the Ford dealer refused. Kudos to CarX for outperforming the dealer. I would recommend CarX to others. This CarX franchise did take longer than expected to perform the work, but eventually they delivered.

Took the Mystery Machine from Hanna-Barbera Studios to have some brake work done. They inspected it and found the brakes just need to be cleaned out I mean they are old and who knows how many mysteries were solved over the past 50+ years. No charge for the brake cleaning just the oil change that it needed.

Wayne and his crew at CarX has been my go-to mechanics for more than 15 years. Integrity, honesty, diligence, and competence has marked every single interaction with CarX—no matter how small or large the repair job. I can’t say enough about how satisfied I am with their level of service.

Been a customer of different Car-Xs over the years, but this was one of the worst experiences I have had. I dropped my car off for brakes and an oil change at opening after making an appointment the week prior. My car was pulled in when I got there, didnt receive a call til closer to 830a on what they wanted to do. Then received a phone call around 3:40p stating they forgot to call earlier but my car was done. When I picked it up the next day (since I worked til 6p and they close at 5:30p) I had 2 different warning lights on in my car related to my brakes. I will not be making recommendations to this location.

The technician who worked on my car was extremely kind and quick. He did not try to upsale work that I didnt need, was honest about the time frame for some things I do need fixed in the future. I was respected as a female and never talked down to or treated less than. 10/10 recommend, kind, polite, respectful, quick

I was visiting from out of town and my heat went out with outside temperature in single digits. Got me in right away and changed out my bad thermostat. I was out in about an hour. This was one of the only repair shops open on a Saturday too. Very grateful.

They are the best! I can always schedule an appointment and get in quickly. I have had a lot of work done over the years and I never have any problems with their service. They bend over backwards to take care of my vehicles. They present me with the costs of issues that I notified them of and any others they caught during the inspection then give me a run down of what is a priority and what can wait until a later date if money is an issue. Their prices are very competitive and they have kept my business with their excellent customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of car repairs!

Friendly & professional service... On my way from Chicago to St. Louis, I became stranded in Springfield due to my alternator & battery failing. It was a Sunday so it was towed to a reputable place, but I found out the next morning that they couldnt get to it for days. Car-X on Linton avenue to the rescue. They understood my predicament and made my repair a priority so I didnt have to spend another night in a hotel. Not only did I make it back to Chicago with no problems, but they got the job done so fast that I was still able to make my appointment in St. Louis.

I was really in a pinch needing a new tire and some snapped lug bolts replaced on my car sense it was dangerous for me to be driving with only three out of five bolts. They were able to get me in on a Saturday and I was expecting to pay so much more! Super nice people! I will go there again and get my oil changed!

Had an unscheduled appointment due to my wifes car making a grinding sound while braking. They got me right in that morning, found the problem, and had us out the door that afternoon.

Our family has frequented this business for years. I even did when I lived out of state. When I came home for visits, I would take my car in for routine maintenance. The staff is professional, trustworthy, and courteous. If there’s a problem with your vehicle, they will fix it. If there isn’t one, they tell you.

I took my car in to have the tires balanced. The mechanic said the front tires looked like brand new but the back tires were shot. I went ahead and had them put new tires on the back and had an oil change. They had everything done in less than an hour and my car has a nice smooth ride now. I was really glad that they didn’t try to upsell me front tires as well. They only sold me what I NEEDED and didn’t try to push anything on me. The next business day I got a text come Wayne at Car-X making sure everything was working as it should. That was a personal touch I really appreciated! I’ll for sure be going back next time I need something done.

I am very happy with the service I received at Car-X Tire & Auto on 11-15_19. I brought my daughters truck in to have the front drivers side brake checked. Turns out she needed all four brakes replaced. I was shown the brakes while they were on the truck, not just told. They were able to get all replaced by Saturday morning, so my daughter had a safe trip back to school.

My warranty on my Toyota is up and I needed to find a new place to do service work. they were great at Car-X. if I need to do any additional work Ill definitely go there.

Passing through Springfield, I stopped in due to a flat tire. They put my spare on and checked the other tires for damage. My impression is that the guys there really care. When the tire arrived Monday they put it on first thing and I was on my way. They even checked up on me a couple days later. Look up customer service and youll see a picture of these guys.

This place is a joke. I am in from out of town and i needed an oil change. They came back with a few minor items ti be fixed. One of the items was my license plate lights were Burt out. I had them fix these items. I left the place to go to work. When I git there I noticed my expensive utility knife was missing. I had it in my center console when I got there this morning. So I had to go buy a new one. When I got out of the store i notice both license plate lights hanging doe. They did didn’t even reconnect them. When I went back to have it fixed. The manager was rude. He told me he would reconnect the lights then I could get off his property. Warning, do not leave anything in the car of value if you let them work on it and make sure they do the work they are charging you for. I will NEVER use car x again

The personnel at Wayne Shures CarX are very easy to work with and apparently quite professional. If there is a problem, and I dont encounter any here, they make it right. The service is reliable and quite a good value.

First, let me start by saying that I had never been to CarX before. I purchased a vehicle warranty that utilitizes their business so that is where I went. I was not disappointed! The guys at carx are awesome! Theyre friendly, professional, courteous, and make the process as simple and effecient as possible. They go the extra mile. My warranty service would not cover my service and they called and discussed it with the warranty service. At the end of it they were able to explain the need and the warranty service agreed to cover the service. They definitely have received a new and repeat customer with me.

People you can trust. I have good experiences at this business. I normally like to do my own work on my vehicles myself, but its nice to have a place that you can trust for the bigger jobs, or the jobs where I do not have the tools. The people are always nice and friendly, and that means a lot. Some times the prices are more than other places, and sometimes they are less, but the quality of work is great.

Wayne the owner, and Harley one of his mechanics, really bailed me out of a jam earlier this week. I was driving by in the early morning on interstate 55 and developed a sudden brake problem and they were able to work me in and take care of my issues and get me going down the road again thesame morning. I couldnt have asked for better service. I especially like the fact that I could go back and take a look at the problems that I had personally to decide how far I wanted to go with repairs. All I ask for is honest people and honest work and thats what I got! I wouldnt hesitate to go back.b

Wont take responsibility for their mistake. Charged almost $70 for oil change & air filter & stuck me with an additional $107 bill as they will only meet me half way on the charges incurred repairing an accidental mistake on their behalf.....this after 4 weeks of my persistence in demanding they take responsibility. They initially werent going to pay anything! Poor communication & customer service throughout this whole ordeal!

I know when I have to have work done it will be done right and will be backed up with a service guarantee.

Honest and trustworthy. Family-owned franchise. Always very accommodating, they once squeezed me in when I didn’t have an appointment and my check engine light came on (my thermostat was stuck open) and this was when I was a new customer. Always fast service (20-minute oil change when they were busy, although I did have an appt.) and reasonable prices. They take the time to explain the problem and any repairs they made, and they don’t try to rope you into extra “needed” services. Clean and orderly waiting room, too!

Honestly would give zero stars. Recently bought 4 new tires and 1 new valve stem with tire pressure sensor because mine broke(which was like 200 extra). I was told they can replace the sensor but could not reset the dash from saying check tire pressure. Which was fine whatever Ill take it somewhere else to get that done. Now here I am out of town thinking its safe to drive and the valve stem they replaced breaks?? Thanks for horrible service.
