Absolutely, hands down, the best experience I have had with any type of automotive shop. The professionalism displayed with every conversation was a very refreshing experience. My vehicle went in after a collision with a deer at 35 mph. When I contacted Hammers the first thing I was asked was if everyone was okay, told me right there they care about the people. They continued to be extremely helpful the entire way, to try and list them all would be difficult but to list a few, car rental, progress on the van, what I would need and when to make the process go by as quickly as possible, and so may more. Not to mention the van was returned in immaculate condition, as if a professional detailing company had gone inside and out with a white glove. I could carry on and on with why I think you should use Hammers, whenever possible. But my real concern is with giving them the recognition they deserve. Hammer’s is the only place I will get my car repaired after and accident. Had my car towed from states away back to my home in springfield just to ensure it went to Hammer’s. All the workers are super friendly and kept me updated the whole time my car was there. And they even detailed the inside before I got it back.

He did my estimate on a Tuesday, and got my truck in for the body work that same Thursday. We used Hammers for an insurance claim for fire damage to the bed of our truck. They communicated well with us and our insurance company. The truck looked great when we got it back, and their paint work came with a warranty.

Hammers Autoworks is a high quality, customer oriented collision repair facility. Being OEM certified by a number of automotive manufacturers is a big deal. It takes a lot of training, specific equipment and defined procedures to obtain that level of service. OEMs issue certification when they are satisfied that the collision facility has all the elements necessary to return a damaged vehicle to as new condition. After all, a proper repair is a reflection of the OEMs quality. It is one important reason I selected Hammers to repair my Honda CRV and they didnt disappoint. The results were perfect. If youre in need of collision repair Id highly recommend you stop by Hammers at some point in the process. Regardless of whether you use them for repair, I suspect youll leave with a bit of helpful knowledge you didnt have before.

I have used other places (French Davis, Thompson, Corwin Ford) who have been horrible. I came back to Hammers and will never go anywhere else. High/Low: Shop staff: Dishonest and difficult. Shop ethics: Their negligence almost got me severely hurt or killed and they refuse to make it right. Things the shop actually fixed: good.Let me preface this long review by saying that I have zero issue with the quality of the work PERFORMED. However, other circumstances have led me to have just an awful time with this shop, and if youd like to know why take a look at my review below. There are two components to this review, the short and the long. The short is below and the long is on other review websites.The ShortSlid off into ditch, had car taken to shop. Shop seemed friendly and reasonable enough. Hammers refuses to work with insurance adjuster until I intervene. I grease the wheels and three months later I pick up what I think to be a perfect, reconditioned car. I drive off the lot and am satisfied. Over the next few months, I hear odd sounds and have a little extra vibration. I attribute this to the idea that Once its wrecked itll never truly be the same. I finally have enough of the sounds and vibrations to take the car to a tire shop assuming its a tire issue. They take the tire off the wheel and find an enormous dent and a small crack in the wheel. I then go back to insurance and hammers to see if they can make this right. They both refuse and I try to gather evidence to convince one of them to fix it. In the process I remove a balancing weight from the wheel and find out that there is another huge crack in the wheel. Something that could have cause my wheel to shatter if I were to hit the right pothole and putting me in grave danger every time I drove. Despite having a direct quote from an estimator at Hammer’s saying How could we have missed this? That kind of damage only happens in a high-impact wreck like you guys had Hammers tells me that since I have no viable proof that it was from the wreck that Im responsible for covering the cost of a new $1,800 wheel. Lesson learned, never trust what the shop says or does. Always verify everything yourself.I will say that Hammers did tell us that if we submitted an insurance claim they would help us, however that just legitimizes their claims and forces me to bear the cost of the deductible, and the permanent increase in insurance costs. Even though they know that they should have caught the damage in the first place.

I see people giving bad references. Its obvious to me that they know nothing. My vehicle has had the front repaired twice, nearly being totalled this time. Parts took a while due to the coof, but Tim and the staff busted tail on it when the parts came in. It was beautifully done and looked like it come straight from the factory. Thanks to Tim and all the techs there its back on the road again

Our car has a unique color. Unfortunately we’ve had to use Hammer’s twice. Both times they’ve matched/blended the color perfectly. We dropped the car off, we picked it up. They dealt with the insurance company, easy peezy. Will use them again (if needed).

Hammer’s Autoworks is amazing!!! Tim was my estimator to fix my car after an accident. He kept me updated on the progress and fought for me with the insurance company to make sure I got all the repairs that I needed. He also helped me go through getting a rental car set up that would pick me up at Hammer’s and I could drop the rental car off at Hammer’s when my car was finished. They guys who did the repair work did an amazing job and the back of my car looks like it has never been in a wreck. They even cleaned the inside and outside of my car! Hammers has done work for me more than once and they are the best to work with and do fantastic work.

The guy I spoke with was very nice. But I only wanted and really needed to get my side mirror and windshield done. He made it sound like they couldnt just do those two things. That the company name was more important to be able to just replace the two items that I needed done first.

Had minor rear bumper damage on my genesis. Hammers did truly great work and fixed everything correctly. They identified issues that the insurance company did not and brought it to the attention of the insurance company. They took care of notifying the rental car company for me when I left the rental there. They even cleaned the inside of my car, which let me tell you I have 2 kids who are absolutely feral and excel at finding ways to get dirt in places nobody wants to take the time to clean.....hammers cleaned it.

Unidentified dimples in my repair work paint job. They were not there before Hammers did the repair on my Mustang. I was told its probably where gravel or something had hit the car. If it was not noticeable prior to the repair was did repainting make it look like a botched paint job? The mirror that was broken is still broken and very visibly messed up.. what a rip off and terrible work.. Also unrelated dents to the accident, submitted as a supplement to the insurance company and denied for being to being to high in comparison to the accident. And the fact that no one knows where they came from. Pictures from Saturdays car show did not have these 2 dents and They were not in the pictures of the other (another company) accident qoute. This was not pleasing. I ended up taking it to another collision repair shop and paying out of pocket to repair.. And they left an inch scratch on my hood. You can see metal. When I questioned it I was told it will buff out. Picked my car up to take it to another shop to have only part of the wrapp put back on. Why they only removed pieces. To paint I do not know.. Was asked why they did not pull the entire wrap off (by the company who put the original wrap on my car) and was told that now the clear coating of the new paint will cause a different color between the original pain under the wrap and the new paint and clear coat. I myself did not understand why the whole wrap was taken off that area since it was so small and they painted everywhere on either side but not under the wrap. Things that make you go Hmmmm.My reply to you Sir, Owner!Hello owner. If the work was guaranteed why did it not get fixed when I addressed these things? Why is my mirror still messed up? Why did I leave your shop and pay another shop $175 to take out the 2 mystery dents? Why do I have bubbles in my front gri that your guy says where from paint being painted over a previous ding, chip etc.? Why when I pointed these things out did your guy just blow it off? Thats not how customer service is practiced. He knew I was upset and sent me on my way to another lace with a$100 check to get my wrap fixed. Nothing else. You want to write this wrong? You need to call me and fix these things correctly not send me on my way and say buff the scratch and we didnt cause the mystery dents.

Just got my Jeep back after being rear ended. Hammers fix my PT cruiser years ago and did a fantastic job so I trusted them again. Very friendly and professional! I had my jeep repaired at the cost of the other parties insurance company. The insurance company tried to rip me off and only pay for non oem replacements. Hammers said no and told them they wanted to stick to oem as its a brand new vehicle. They even went out of their way to top off my oil because when I got it serviced at my dealer, they did not reseal my oil properly and turns out I lost about 3/4 of It. They did this at no expense to me or the insurance company. They really wanted to make sure I was taken care of. Cant thank you enough hammers!
