Ended up showing up late due to a car crash in front of me. Because of this I called Ahead and explained my reasoning for being late. However when I got there it was not explained to me that I was still being charge for a full 90 minute massage. I received a less than an hour massage and ended up walking out feeling more sore after my appointment then I was before. No water or towel was offered. They also failed to start the clock when my massage was started so I would have had no idea if I was getting my full-time or close to my full time or not had I not been paying attention. When this was brought to their attention that my massage lasted less than 40 minutes, I was still charged for 90 minutes. I do not recommend this place at all.

Failed to notify me that minors must have a parent/guardian present for a signature. I drove 45 minutes to their location to find this out in person when filling out forms.

They failed to tell me they changed the type of massage I was getting until I got there. My therapist definitely got too close to boundaries that were set in a survey before the massage took place. The room was cold and barren of any relaxing atmosphere. My favorite part was hearing the staff trash their clients before they’d even left the massage area. DO NOT GO HERE.

Great relaxing massage!

You get what you pay for. They have very good therapist but keep in mind that it is a national chain, some call it the Walmart of massages.On the other hand, Brian is definitely one of the best therapists in that company, highly recommended.

Good, clean, friendly Massage Envy franchise location. Lots of staff, and they now offer stretching therapy services as well. The recent addition of online booking has been helpful l. They have a couples massage room as well, but you have to call to book for couples massage because the website only books single massages.

My husband and I were very pleased with our recent visit! We get massages fairly often and had exceptional sessions today! Robert did a fantastic job of providing a relaxing yet effective massage, addressing me reoccurring back pain. Carrie was very thorough including much needed stretching and firm pressure as requested. We highly recommend these therapists for others with similar goals! Thanks again!

Friendly staff and good introductory pricing

I had experienced my first massage with Massage Envy last night. Your staff are very nice and welcoming.Massage was good, I will not mention the person that gave me a massage, for he/she was fine. Wanted to concentrate on my back and left hip area, which is fine. Im just used to having my massages done and when I have knot in my shoulder area that my back isnt rubbed down my back and then up my back same as my shoulder area, because now I have a knot up by my upper shoulder, lower right neck area, and I understand he/she wanted to work on my left hip and all, then rub my left leg, but what about my right leg and my feet? I used to get massages every week or sometimes twice a week when I worked at for the hospital.I will give your business another chance, I will either go to a different location or ask for someone else. Everybody has a down day.One question where do you keep your therapist certificates/licences?

The worst massage experience I’ve ever had. I paid for a one hour massage and I was getting in my car before the hour was even up because he said my time was up, barely 45 minutes. Nobody offered me any water at the end or reminded me to drink lots of water. He did a lot of scratching, smacking of his gum, and sighing throughout the whole massage. I felt like he didn’t really work on my neck and shoulders much like I asked for, instead he focused on my back. So disappointed.

The first time I called to make an appointment they told me when to come in the next day. I came in and they could not find me in the System. My appointment never got saved. This was really inconvenient for me because I had limited time to get the massage and get back home before I had to feed my newborn baby. They gave me a free enhancement which was worth $10 for my inconvenience. The second time I called him to make an appointment they did get it saved. But what they do not tell you is that when you get there and fill out the information that they require you to; that is when your massage time starts. They also include getting undressed, dressed and talking with your massage therapists as your massage time. So it cut down on about 10 to 15 minutes of my massage time. This was one of the worst massages that I have ever gotten. I didn’t feel like she massaged me very well, just kind of rubbed around. I would recommend going somewhere else.

Zero stars. Ridiculous policies and poor customer service. Inconsistent answers from staff. I had been having migraines and decided to try a massage. They talked me into joining their membership, which is apparently impossible to get out of. They have no flexibility. Refused to make any changes to my account over the phone, meaning I had to come in for every change. The worker Bailey just kept saying its policy but could give no answer as to why. She insisted she had a conversation with me months prior which never happened. I did have a conversation with a worker previously who said I could cancel anytime I wanted- but Bailey didnt believe that. The massages were nowhere near good enough to make up for their horrible customer service.

One of the best massages Ive ever had! I suffer from chronic neck and shoulder pain and have had a bad month dealing with the pain. Mardell really listened to what I needed. I left one very happy camper and signed up for a membership the second I walked out. And the front desk staff was amazing as well. Really explained the membership stuff and what I could and couldnt do with it.

The staff are great at this location. If you need a massage, I always refer my friends to Robert who does an amazing job!

I always love going to Massage Envy in Springfield, MO. Its a chain store but with great personal touches, thanks to the awesome staff. I highly recommend the place to all my friends & family if they ever need a massage, and starting a membership is well worth the money. Open weekly early mornings and late nights, and even weekends is a huge help for someone who might have a busy schedule. I have chronic back pain problems and migraines and while I have my favorite therapists, you can try on just about anyone to see if they are better for you. Check it out if you need a good 1-hour massage - you can go in and try it at the membership rate and figure out if its worth it for you :)

WONDERFUL! The girls at the desk are great but it is therapist Jerry that is magic. I went for a shoulder problem & he spent time & worked out what a doctor wanted to do with surgery! He also spent the time with me & gave me tips for things to do to help at home. I felt like I had to live with the pain forever and was skeptical but was amazed at how he helped me. I am hooked and believe in him completely!My husband had never had a massage - I finally got him talked into it & he goes more than I do now! Again - it is Jerry that has turned him around.If we cannot get into Jerry - we do not come - we wait. We both cannot say enough good things about him - there is not enough room on here!!

Worst decision Ive made to sign up with them. When I moved from Chicago to Springfield, MO - I tried to cancel my membership, because I just didnt have the time / desire to use the massages. I asked if I could gift them to someone else. Nope - can only gift 1 massage a month, and not to the same person. Trying to cancel after you sign up is an absolute nightmare. And they keep bleeding you for $60 a month. Wish I had never signed up.

I wish I could say one nice place about this business other than the exit is a sight for sore eyes, the customer service here is non existent, management is horrible at managing, and with all the grief I endured while dealing with this company its surprising its still in business. Honestly, if the building was bulldozed and replaced with a parking lot it would have more use then than it does now, not to mention the parking lot would be friendlier.

Of course this is the very best place for a great deep tissue (or relaxing) massage. I also really enjoy the East location for a massage AND facial. Great prices, awesome service providers, great front staff, what more can you ask for.

Tried to used my Christmas gift card for a massage and it was going to be $40 additional on top of $50 gift card. Totally sucks. I stopped using Massage Envy when I was a member as too much trouble getting appts and other locations canceled appt last minute due to a variety of reasons. They also dont have a corporate customer service phone number to talk with someone. What a shotty trick selling gift cards for a massage for the wrong amt. Very expensive plastic card.

Bought a massage Envy gift card from an out of state location, mailed it to someone, they lost the card but, I was told by the store where I bought the card that the code was all the Springfield, Mo store needed to validate the card. The person I bought it for, went to the Springfield massage Envy and was told they couldnt honor the code. Thats just wrong and not in keeping with massage Envy policies.

Easy in and out and they made a first-timer feel welcome

Robert has helped my wife with her hip and leg pain tremendously. I too have had a massage from Robert, and he was very helpful and informative.

The massages and therapists were fantastic! However, the policies and customer account setup needs improvements.After my first massage I received and payed for with a gift card, I was talked into signing up for what I didnt realize was a one year, no cancellation option and no buy-out option contractual agreement. After many months with intermittent account freezings (which came in handy), when my 12th month was up (last month), there was no warning of ..now be aware, you will continue to be charged if you dont fill out a cancellation form.A word of advice to those new: Dont sign up for anything if you dont want to be tied down for a year or more, and if you do, be sure to fill out a cancellation form when your contract is up.UPDATE ON 8/16/16: In addition to making sure you fill out a cancellation form, ALSO make sure to check your bank account to see if they continue to withdraw monthly amounts even after 1 month of filling out a cancellation form, which they did.... Zero stars... this company is a nightmare to get away from...
