Changed over to a homeowners policy here at the Acosta agency in 2018. They used an insurance writer called Swyfft to write my policy. Over the last two years my policy has gone from around 1200 per year to 2800 for this upcoming year. No thank you. In my search for new insurance, two different agents that I spoke with told me that Swyfft had deeply undercut the competition in order to build a client base and now due to increased claims they were having to jack up rates exponentially. So I found myself behind the game on what current homeowners rates were. I attempted to call the Acosta agency a few times and never did get through to a human being. After I found new, much more affordable, insurance. I called the Acosta agency one last time to advise them that I would not be renewing my policy and finally got a human!.....from out of state....that wasnt licensed in my state....
