Went in to try and get my sons first hair cut and the lady in there today was rude and shouldnt be working there. Instead of politely telling us she was booked she snapped at us and said she didnt have time. Even thos it takes like 3 to 5 minutes to do his hair

Worst experience. Asked for my boys to have the same hair cut. One looks amazing but they completely scalped my 4 yr old and husbands. Were not happy with the hair cuts at all but still made us pay gull price. Do not go to the smart styles in Spearfish SD.

Amazing salon, I have been a client at this salon since I was a child! The stylist have always been great, friendly and very accommodating! Even at their busiest times, they do whatever they can to make sure you’re in a chair that day or set up an appointment for you within the next couple of days!I am currently a stylist at this salon as well! We work our hardest to get you in or an appointment along with the products you will need for at home care and styling :)

The Stylist I had was very good, I always get nervous with a new Stylist but she talked and told me everything she was doing.

Ive brought my son here for a few years now. The ladies were are always so welcoming and upbeat. Even if there was a wait it was always worth it. I loved it so much that when I became a stylist and started working here too! The ladies we have right now are so caring about each client that sits our chairs. We want you to feel comfortable and confident when you walk out. The team atmosphere is amazing, if your stylist isnt available we are all more than happy to take you and give you the cut or color you love!

I went in for my 3rd perm there. The first two times it cost $43. This last time they charged me $63+. I asked about the price and got the response, well, thats the charge! I am a senior and I have short hair. Theres no way my whole head of hair can be put in rods thus should be considered a partial perm. The girl said, oh no, thats a full perm. I told her of the previous charges...didnt matter. I paid my bill but I will not go back again. I contacted customer service and have not heard ANYTHING back. Im done with Smart Style. They have out priced the Walmart clientele!

Hannah is the BEST!!I have naturally wavy, somewhat coarse and very gray hair. No one has ever been able to tame it consistently like Hannah does! I give her free rein to cut and color my hair and I receive compliments DAILY!!Shes a gem!!

Horrible they messed on my hair so bad it’s all different layers. When I asked for 1 length. When I went in to get a refund I was told by Destiney the purple hair lady that I could only get a partial refund, I got upset and she refused to give me my refund. Told me I needed to deal with cooperate. 1 star is being kind.

My daughter had her haircut her the 1st time they didnt cut the bangs right, and my daughter didnt want me to make a big deal about it. the 2nd time we thought she would get a better hairdresser. She did not! my daughters hair wasnt layered right and was 3inches shorter than it should have been. I wouldnt go back to this place if you paid me!!The hairdresser s should go back to cosmetology school, cause they sure dont know what they are doing!!!BY FAR THE WORSE PLACE EVER YO HAVE A SIMPLE HAIRCUT!!!!!

The lady in the glasses there was rude as rude could be. We asked for a simple hair appointment and she got snappy and acted like it was a crime and looking at her appointment book was the hardest thing to do. She talked to us with a nasty tone and rushed us out in front of another customer. We’ve been there multiple times with other stylist and had no issue. Bad day or not common curtesy is important towards your customers and you lost four of them due to her attitude. I wouldn’t want someone who acts like that to touch my hair. Looking for a new place to take my family.
