I love everything about Sylvan Learning. Everyone there has been very informative and supportive, and my daughter loves going to her sessions. She has really developed a passion for learning in areas where she previously lacked enthusiasm.Not only that, but her skills have already greatly improved in a short period of time. I’m so thankful I chose Sylvan for my daughter’s tutoring. I’m now considering extending her program beyond the original length just to keep her skills fresh and her interest high during the summer months.

I attended Sylvan (in a different state) as a child when I hated reading, and ended up loving it and becoming an avid reader! So when we needed to fill in some gaps for my kids, I knew I wanted to have them go to Sylvan! My kids love the reward system and are improving in their reading. Sylvan Southlake is doing a great job with 2 of our kids. We are supplementing homeschool with some reading work for our 2 elementary ages kids and they are progressing fast right now! They enjoy going, staff is kind and invested in helping them learn new skills.Edit: Our kids have now been going for 6th months and have made great progress in their reading and math. Our 8 yo progressed 2 whole grades in testing since beginning tutoring and our 7 yo 1.5 grades.

Sylvan Southlake has been accommodating and professional. My youngest daughter (Age 9) attends weekly and they are good with providing updates on her progress.

Our son started attending Sylvan in 2015, when he was in kindergarten. He attended until 3rd grade. My son has dyslexia and ADHD so he needs a lot if repetitive practice and Sylvan was able to provide a safe environment conducive to learning, set expectations and goals for him, and provide a curriculum where parents could monitor and see progress online. They have a reward system where he earned tokens and could purchase rewards from their reward wall. Our daughter started kindergarten this year, 2020 and due to COVID-19, she missed most of pre-k and went into kindergarten behind. After her first assessment in August we decided to enroll her in Sylvan for additional support to catch her up.Sylvan is the total package. We met with and interviewed multiple tutoring centers and even private individuals, but none of these other options worked for us. All were cheaper options but did not have the setup, stability, one on one assistance, reward system or curriculum of Sylvan.What we needed for our family was a facility outside the home we could take our child too. We needed one on one attention and lots of assisted guidance. We needed all tutoring to be handled and taken care of at Sylvan, with no homework or practice to come home, as home is where we play, unwind and relax. I didn’t want any part of our home to become a stress or anxiety to our child. Both my children love going to Sylvan to earn their tokens and pick out a toy reward for their hard work. Sylvan has worked wonders for both our children and if we need them in the future again we will definitely be back.

Both of my boys attend Sylvan, my 15-year-old needed some extra help with math and within a morning went from an F to a B! My 5 year old thought it was a really neat place and wanted to participate as well so now he takes classes with his big brother! 5 stars ⭐️

Im not a big fan of the way schools teach math these days using wonky Common Core as the basis. My daughter is very bright and has straight As in all her classes with the exception of math. We tried a couple of different tutors and nothing seemed to work. Since starting at Sylvan, we have noticed a great improvement in her math scores and her overall grasp of basic math facts. As importantly, she actually enjoys going to her sessions. I would recommend Sylvan to anyone.

My son was very worried about reading out loud in front of students. They were all over making him feel comfortable and working one on one with him when reading out loud was needed allowing for him to get the most of his tutoring.

We started on June 2019, since the first day it has been a great experience. My daughter has increased her reading level, her comprehension and confidence. Sylvan Learning has done a difference on her reading progress, her grades have improved. The teachers are amazing definitely I super recommend Sylvan Learning in Southlake!!!

We have had a GREAT experience here! A year and half ago, I have to say my son was around the very bottom at school and it seemed like he had little confidence which made me so sad. Then things changed since I visited the Sylvan Southlake - they didnt only help him get on track, but they built up his confidence in leaning! They are simply amazing! Our daughter is enrolled in an online high school. Sylvan of Southlake has done a marvelous job helping her in subjects where she needs additional tutoring. Margie, Denise and Ilene have done much more for our daughter than we ever expected. They are working as a team, in concert with us, to help her achieve her educational goals. We are grateful to the Sylvan staff for going above and beyond.

We have had great results for both my son and daughter with Sylvan at the Southlake location . The staff makes the time productive by providing individual attention. The ability for the kids to work towards prizes for their efforts helps make it a fun experience as well.

We love the staff at Sylvan. They have really worked with our daughter this summer to get her caught up where she was having troubles this past school year. Her confidence is much higher now that she has had more instruction on math. I highly recommend this facility.

They are very, very good. My son started when he was having trouble reading. He did not like to work with us, so we took him to Sylvan over the summer and he excelled. They were very accommodating to our changing schedules and our son was always happy to go. After working thru the summer he improved to the point that he is now in the most advanced reading group in his class. All the work was done at the office so we never had a problem with homework. I would recommend Sylvan to anyone with a child who is lagging. I can not speak highly enough about them, we are very happy with our decision to bring him to this Sylvan.

This has been an investment for our childs future. There is no substitute for higher learning. Mastering the basics is essential for future development. Sylvan teachers teach the children;and inspire the children to learn, with that comes a child who wants to learn and be better than others.

My daughter has been going to Sylvan for the past couple of years. She does very well with the structure and loves that she gets rewards for her work!

Stay away for ACT/SAT prep. Paid for two of my children to go through the prep course. Not much more value than you would get from a book. When I voiced my concerns of lack of value, they would not let me talk to the owners nor would they disclose their names. Just said they were Southlake residents. They would not refund the money. Only offered to do one-on-one coaching which did not make much sense if the classroom experience was so poor. Results: one ACT test score stayed the same and the other went down. Money and time wasted. Never trust a company whose owners will not be transparent and face their customer. I was never told who the owners were, not given my money back, and got zero results. After doing more research, there are far better resources in Southlake for ACT/SAT prep. Just ask the Sr. High counselors. Your money will be far better invested elsewhere. Dont waste it here.

We have used this branch twice for my son, once in 3rd grade and again in 8th. Both times they have accurately pinpointed where he was lacking and successfully brought his skill set up to, or exceeding where it needed to be.This year, he went from barely passing several classes at the beginning of the 2nd semester to all As and Bs by the end of the year.Thank you!
