Ive always had a good experience at this branch. We have done home refinance, auto loans, checking/savings accounts and never had a bad experience. If I need something done a specific way, I ask for it to be done that specific way; I have never had a problem with anyone. they have been fantastic for my personal finance. Their app is not flashy, but it is adequate for the basics, which makes me feel better about using it. Not trying to do too much makes me feel safer with the available functions. We have been baking with them for 15+ years. My one complaint is their BYU vs UTAH contests. Go Aggies!

Worst customer service Ive ever experienced at a bank or credit union. They are either incipient or horribly disorganized. Bad experience either way. Save your self the trouble and take your business elsewhere.
Friendly, safe staff. If you havent already done so, make a Cyber Account where you can put just a little money for Venmo, PayPal and other services like that so you dont risk you main accounts to Cyber criminals. DFCU can help you open it!
Deseret first is the most disorganized bank I had the pain of using. My parents made an account for me when I was a kid and it has haunted me. Their app is unusable, their online banking difficult, and their systems are outdated. 3 years ago I tried closing my account, and they told me that I owed nothing and the account would be closed. They did not look at pending charges and they did not look at the account. 3 years later the only bad thing on my credit are to late fees of about 25$ because of this bank. It has haunted me and made my credit from the very best, to a 740. Which just recently costed me over 1000$ on refinancing. Working with a bad bank can mess up long term goals. Protect yourself and use a bank with more trustworthy systems in place.
It was mixed feelings. On one side of the coin the branch manager was nice enough to let us change the address and reverse two fees. On the other side of the coin the manager was quite upset and frustrated and made the banking experience extremely awkward and uncomfortable for us. She told me “have a nice day” as if to get rid of me. Then I asked “what about the fees?” And she retorted” yeah we’re on it, have a good day”. When I thanked her she ignored me and we were uncomfortable with her increasing frustrated vibes. Good service by a very rude manager. Don’t recommend coming to this branch.

I have had two auto loans through Deseret First Credit union and both have been excellent. Hailey, the Loan Representative is great and even stayed late one day to make sure I would be able to sign the papers and get the check! Great customer service.
We recently did a HELOC with Deseret First and working with Danika at this location has been awesome. We appreciated how thorough and helpful she was throughout the whole process. I highly recommend looking into this financial institute for mortgages and HELOC’s. Overall very happy with our experience, and happy to now bank with Deseret First.
Too big of a hassle to work with for auto loans. They say they work for members but they caused nothing but headaches even though we had enough to pay the loan off immediately. Just wanted to build some credit and hey could have made a little interest money but its totally not worth it. Horrible auto loan experience.

These people top the worst costumer service a credit union has ever had. First, they are so disorganized, they do not do their jobs correctly, their notes must not be in the computer system, they must be living in the stone ages. They probably have several filing cabinets where they keep notes and all the records of peoples home loans, auto loans, or personal loans, because they do not always find the notes. They sometimes find notes ...oh, yes, I see the note, a,,s now maam, yes, your right.Then sometimes they dont find the notes, and then they insinuate your lying,Uh, No maam we dont have that written in the notes, and if, that were the case, so and soWould have written that in the notes then I go a little ballistic just from all THE frustration FROM dealing with ALL THE incompetent people thereAND THEN THEY FIND THE NOTESWOW, imagine that! Why do some companies not see the value of great custoner service????These companies could be bringing in more profit, if they first of all paid the people in the front lines a lot better, treat them with a little more respect, implement incentives to make them work harder for you because they want to work harder for you, not because you ask, but because you take really good care of them, those are the people that can make or break your business.WHATEVER happened to the customer is always right, OF COURSE THE CUSTOMER IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT, but the people working in the front lines can make it right, by beeing polite and try to see what the problem is, investigate thoroughly first before accusing or insinuating that the customer is lying, when they come at you upset, dont take it personal, you have no idea what that person is going through in other areas of their life ..show them that you care enough to investigate first and see if you can do something to help with their problem and if you cant then you say, I am so sorry I couldnt help with your problem, but I really tried. And at the end of the day, you tried your very best and who knows with the way our world is now a days you may have even saved someones life by treating them with respect!Im done with this rant, but I hope more companies see the value of treating the people that represent them better and reward them for the great work they do, PAY THEM BETTER, they are representing YOU,most of the time these front line people are the ones getting pay the least in the companies ...WHY IS THAT??? PAY THEM BETTER TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS BETTER BECAUSE THEY ARE HAPPY TO WORK FOR A COMPANY THAT SEES THE VALUE IN THAT, AND IN THEM!!!THEY REPRESENT YOU!!!

They allowed someone to open an unsecured line of credit in my name in February 2017, I did everything they requested to get it resolved and Im still getting mail (Oct. 2017) on a fraudulent account they opened. RUN!Its now June of 2018 and these people refuse to stop sending this to the credit reporting agencies. At this point Ive been to the branch multiple times, Ive filled out fraudulent paperwork on their behalf, Ive filled out police reports on their behalf, Ive called customer service and asked for help, I was subpoenaed and forced to go to court for criminal proceedings they have against the guy who stole money from DFCU. Ive literally been through every ringer imaginable to help DFCU and guess what, DFCU is still reporting that Im delinquent on $10,000 they gave away online to someone they didnt verify. Im at a loss as to how these people sleep at night.RUN!

The worst service - went to make a deposit with a debit card and the do a cash advance instead - giving me a large fee that could have be avoidable - each time I want to make a deposit - they want to hold check 10 days - have had account 18 years
