When my dentist who Ive gone to my whole life retired I was forced to find somewhere else to go. Ive tried numerous other dentists since then and was always disappointed. I couldnt be happier with Dr. Coates and his staff. If you are looking for a professional dentist who does quality work and staff that is friendly and professional, this is the place to go! If I could give them a higher rating I would.

I found Dr Coates from my insurance provider list and took a chance on him based off of his positive google reviews. I am very pleased with his services. Dr Coates is a great dentist. I am very impressed with his knowledge and experience. I really like how Dr Coates listened to all of my concerns and had very satisfactory answers. His Hygienist does an excellent job and she is very knowledgeable. Very impressed. I am referring all of my family members to Dr. Coates. His staff is very warm and welcoming. Unethical business-avoid!My late husband and I were forced to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2012 because of him being hospitalized repeatedly while waiting for a liver transplant that never came. Despite having good medical insurance, the copays alone were several hundred thousand dollars. He passed away in 2013.Despite receiving legal notice of the bankruptcy, David J. Coates DDS refuses to remove a lien from my home. Both my attorney and I have contacted this business and its attorney on several occasions and they refuse to take any action to make this right. Now I can’t sell my home or get a home equity loan because of David J. Coates DDS illegal lack of action.Boycott this immoral and unethical dentist!

My daughter and I have gone to Dr. Coates for the last 18 years. The office is extremely friendly and organized. He is very honest with his recommendations and never suggests a treatment if he really doesnt feel that it is needed. I would highly recommend him!!

I live in Riverton and I have been a patient of Dr. Coates for the last several years. Dr. Coates has always taken the best of care for my family, and myself. We love the entire staff at this office, they continue to treat us with respect, and make us feel like they really care. They are the BEST !

I will not recommend this place again. They have a really bad communication and they penalize you for it. If you cancel your appointment they charge you ! This is ridiculous. This is the first place I had to pay for me not able to make it to an appointment. Never coming back. They just want your money.

If you are looking for a dentist who is SKILLED and UP TO DATE then this is THE dentist you should call. Personally I drive from Layton to S. Jordan to visit this particular dentist. I have been a patient of his for about 7years. Awesome staff also!

I called because of severe tooth pain they understood my concern and was able to get me in asap I got in at 5 and they recomended. Me to an endodonist and got me on antibiotics and additional medication to get through till I got in to get my tooth fixed in dealinng with little pain now thanks to them ill be able to survive until my appointment thanks dr coats best dentist ive had :)

THe BEST in UTah. I had all top fronts replaced with amazing new grill from Dr Coates...My brothers wife did also! Ive sent lots of people and he has taken care of them all! If you need a dentist or your kids please try these guys! Id consider them family now!
