The clerk charged me before showing me the truck he was renting me. It turned out to be the wrong-sized truck, so he canceled the transaction and tried to put a new charge through. My bank didnt honor the cancelation right away, so the payment didnt go through. My bank gave me step-by-step instructions on what to do next to get the refund credit to clear promptly and the clerk refused to listen. He started jotting down a HAND-WRITTEN note to my bank thinking that would work. He ranted about bank bureaucracy and decided then to call his supervisor and figure out what to do. The supervisor devised a way to get my on the road, however, Uhaul still charged me for two trucks. Once I made it to my destination, I woke up the next morning and discovered my bank account was in the red. The credit takes 3-5 business days to go through, so I was stranded with no money for the rest of the week and into the weekend all because this clerk a) charged me for the wrong truck and b) refused to follow the step-by-step instructions provided by the bank. Had he done that, everything wouldve worked out. Besides, it was his screw-up that put me in this mess. Oh, and he had no boxes or hand trucks. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
