Our daughter and son in-law took my wife and I on a fishing trip with yellow dawg fishing and we had the best time. We caught several different species of fish but the best was our son in-law caught his first red fish and it was a monster. Hats off to the captain. We are definitely going to go out with him again later this year

Great charter! Captain Jamie was very knowledgeable and put us on the fish. We went for some fish to cook, but our trip was SO MUCH MORE! We started by going to a spot where other captains told him when we arrived, there wasnt much action. Within minutes we were hauling them in. We landed many fish, including a 35 inch red drum, and a 42 inch snook, and a 28 inch jack crevalle. From there we were off to another spot where we were getting hits every cast. This spot provided us with dinner! We hauled in sheepshead, mangrove snapper and an occasional snook. Captain Jamie made my family feel welcome and safe. When one of my kids got seasick, it was no big issue, he took us to land and pointed to the nearest restroom to clean he up and told us to walk around a bit and get her feeling better. Definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a great time and great memories made.

Great Guide, 10/10 experience. Very personable, although the dad jokes were a little cheesy 😆. Very fun guy, easy to talk to, great day on the water. Caught nice eater spanish mackerel, sheepshead, snapper, and whiting. Topped it off with a 4.5 foot hammerhead. Definitely coming back.

Spent a great day with Captain Jamie today of Yellow Dawg Fishing. We were fishing in and around Ponce Inlet. Jamie was a great Captain and guide and helped me hook the biggest fish I’ve ever caught...easy 40+ Red!! If you get down around Daytona or New Smyrna check him out!! I recommend you call well in advance...he stays booked solid!!

Jaime was a great fishing guide. We immediately felt welcome and at ease on his boat. He put us on the fish and even some sharks!! It was an absolutely beautiful day on the water with old and new friends. I can’t wait to go out again for snapper and cobia. I highly recommend Jaime and Yellow Dawg.

Wonderful experience with Capt Jamie. I was in Town Thanksgiving week and took three generations of family on this trip. Capt Jamie was very knowledgeable, went to several sites and was very successful. He made the trip enjoyable for everyone. My 7 year old was thrilled with catching some big fish, watching him clean the fish and having the restaurant fry it up. Outstanding Capt that made the trip unforgettable.

This is our third time out with Captain James and will continue to come back for more! He knows all the right places to go. He has spots for catching fish to eat and spots to catch those trophy fish too. My three boys, my husband, and myself always have a great time. He makes fishing fun for us all. If things aren’t going the way we all want in one spot, he always has another spot up his sleeve. He makes it his mission to make it a successful day out. In addition, if you have children, James is your man. He is totally age appropriate. From talk, jokes, to choice of music, I never have to worry. James is the best!

Jamie was an excellent captain. This fishing trip was a christmas gift for my husband and his friend. They loved it. Best trip ever! We are notoriously unlucky (unskilled?) fishers. Weve fished charters from Mexico to Alaska. Captain Jamie helped us end the curse though, and we finally caught fish on a charter. Jamie is a phenomenal captain with fascinating stories and hilarious dad jokes. Originally, we wanted to deep sea fish, but I am so thankful we went inland. We saw so many dolphins up close, and the landscape was gorgeous. At the end of our tour he filleted our fish, and the restaurant cooked it up. The line was 20 people long, but we got seated and served immediately. Delicious! I highly recommend Yellow Dawg for a trip you can tell your friends about.

My wife and I came for a weekend trip to Daytona. Wanted to do something we haven’t done before. So we contacted Jamie at Yellow Dawg. Weren’t sure what to expect, but Jamie was supper cool, explained everything to us, and answered any questions we had. And oh yeah, we caught all kinds of fish, including huge Red Fish!! It was an awesome day! And I would highly Recommend Jamie at Yellow Dawg Fishing!

Highly recommend. We booked a trip during a family vacation as a last minute decision. Booking was easy and fast. Jamie was knowledgeable, friendly, safe, and eager to get us some fish. First off youre not on a big fishing boat with 50+ people. It was my family (total of 5) and Jamie. He helped us with casting, pulling in fish, and getting the best photos. We regularly moved and changed with the conditions to make sure we caught something. At the end he filleted our fish and a local restaurant, DJs Deck, cooked it for us.

Jamie was great knowledgeable and gives you a great experience. We caught a few small fish. A sheepshead, lady fish, few small keeper mangrove, a whiting, and a few of them damn catfish. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is we didn’t catch a whole lot and nothing big. Did get hooked up with a small red but I lost it at the boat and was my fault. Sometimes the fish just aren’t there. I will definitely go out with Jamie again.

Nice guy but acts like you dont know when u have a big fish and dosent seem to care if u do got spooled twice back to back and he dident even try to run the fish down untill I was on the backing of the second fish and then charged the card extra 50 bucks after a 50 for a tip thanks buddy go with some one who cares for more than the money

Had a great time with Captain Jamie and Bay (his dog)! We caught fish from sunup to sundown. He even showed me how to bait my hook. After fishing all day we went to Down the Hatch restaurant which is right on the water and we had our fresh catch prepared for us! I cant wait to go again and take another fishing trip! Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our fishing charter! Jamie was super friendly and made the day fun. We caught a couple really cool fish, and had them cooked up for us at DJ’s deck. I would definitely recommend his charters, and my wife and I will definitely go again if we come back to Daytona!

This was my first time in the Daytona Area, and Jamie is one of the reasons the trip was so great. We did a 4 hour inland charter on his boat. We caught enough fish to have dinner for 4 people plus leftovers. He knew where to go for the best chance to catch fish. He was polite and had some pretty good jokes. I would tell anyone to go to him for a great fishing trip.

Just got off the water with yellow dog. By far the most fun Ive had on saltwater. Caught a good mess of snapper and a bunch of other fish. DJs deck fried some for us as soon as Jamie had them cleaned for us. If you want to catch some fish and stay in the inlet this is the charter for you. Will definitely use Yellow Dog again next year. (Beware of the captains bad jokes) haha!

Great fishing trip! My wife and I caught trout, snapper, flounder, jack, and even one needle nose. He filleted any keepers for us to have cooked up at a local restaurant. Would definitely do it again!

Jamie was a phenomenal guide, was willing to help inexperienced anglers with anything they needed and was very patient the whole time. We had a great time and caught a ton of fish the whole time on the water. I would reccomend him to anyone who is looking for a great trip and a great guide.

Went fishing 4 hours inshore, caught 6 fish tops, very very small fish when I was told over the phone we would be going after trophy reds.. he refused to switch the spinning reels over so I could actually reel considering Im left handed because he didnt want to break the seals hes an alright guy and all but I dont think I would fish with him again.

Jamie was awesome, definitely recommend doing the “hook and cook” out of Dj’s Deck. We met him around 7:30 am at Dj’s and he had us in the water within 20 minutes after leaving the dock. Being on a smaller boat is great in my opinion; just you and a small group (this trip was just my girlfriend and I on the boat) no tangled lines and all of Jamie’s jokes, which had us rolling then entire trip. Jamie is a very knowledgeable fisherman that kept feeding us tips to make sure our casts were in the right spot at every fishing hole we went too. So if you’re looking for something fun to do while you’re in Daytona Beach, give him a call. FISH ON!

My family had a fabulous time out on the water with Jaime. Went a few different places & EVERYONE caught fish. After 4 hours of being on the water we got back to the dock with a cooler full of snapper & some red fish. After Jaime cleaned everything up, we went to the restaurant right on the water and had fresh BYOF (bring your own fresh fish) blackened & fried. It was more than we could eat and it was AMAZING. I never recommend anyone because everyone likes differnt things, but I highly recommend spending time out on the water with Jaime. Even if you are along for the ride taking pictures...he made sure the trip was memorable.

Had a great time. We caught lots of fish. We will definitely call when we come back to Daytona.

Went out to the inlet and caught three trophy redfish within an hour. Had a great time and cant wait to do it again!!

My family and I just got back from a 4 hour trip and I cannot say enough good things! Jamie the captain is super nice and extremely helpful! When lines were tangled and hooks were broke off he was more than happy to help get us hooked back up. We went through 150 shrimp during the trip-caught snook, sheepshead, snapper, angel fish just to make a few. We came home with 15 good size Mangrove Snapper that Jamie cleaned and filleted for us right on the boat. He put us on the fish, ever cast we had a bite! Not a moment went by that we were not having fun, felt like right at home like we were fishing with our buddies! We will definitely be making this a yearly must do with Captain Jamie and Yellow Dawg Fishing!

Last Wed. morning, 2-21, Captain Jamie took my roommate, his cousin, and myself salt-water fishing around the hundreds of mangrove islands in the Spruce Creek area of Ponce Inlet. We had a fantabulous experience. We caught mangrove snapper, a blow-fish, a sting ray, a short pompano, lady-fish, and several redfish (one of which made the lunch basket). If the fish quit biting for 15 minutes, Jamie would move to a different spot, all the while sharing his extensive fishing knowledge and stories, along with some lame jokes. He kept us fishing and he kept us laughing, entertaining us the whole time. The best day ever ended back at DJS restaurant, where Jamie filleted our catch for the restaurant to fry up and share with some friends. Thanks Jamie for an awesome day; we will be repeat customers, for sure!

What a blast!!! Jamie (our captain) took my wife and i to some of the most beautiful locations within the intercoastal to fish. Little experience was needed, jamie guided us thru every step, baiting the rod to realing in that big snapper my wife caught! Thanks again for the good times, looking forward to booking again :)

Captain jaimie was amazing ! Me and my mom had such a great experience. We got to bring on board our own drinks, it was beautiful weather, and jaimie even taught me how to bait my own hook with the shrimp! I lost my hat and he even went back to retreive it. I caught so many different fish and I even caught a blue crab! I could go on and on, no doubt i would pick yellow dawg fishing charters and i will deffinatly be visiting again.❤Love, your michiganders !
