When I booked with Captain Dave I told him I wanted trophy fish, I knew it was a tough request but Captain Dave said it wasn’t a problem! Wind was bad so we were limited to the Halifax River but My cousin and I caught the biggest Red Drum I think I’ll ever catch. My teenage boys and I went for a 5 hour inland trip today and had the best time. Captain Dave is an amazing guide he got us on fish early. We want to a few different spots and he is very good pointing out where to cast and gave great advice when hauling in the big ones. Dave is a life long Floridian who should write a book (but he won’t) on how to catch fish both offshore and inshore. He has been able to put us on fish in all types of unpredictable weather. Dave’s puts you on fish but you also have a good time when you’re doing it. No pressure.We have chartered with him several times and have never been disappointed. Awesome time!!! This was our second charter with Captain Dave and once again he didnt disappoint. My husband and I took our 2 teens and we caught HUGE reds which are a good fight to reel in. We also caught some sheephead and black drum. His boats can accommodate different size groups and he is super knowledgeable about the fishing Hotspot. He will put you on them. Hes our favorite captain on the east coast.

Strippin lips is the best offshore charter in volusia county. Captain Dave will always put you to the fish. Great guy who really cares that his clients have a good time.

I’ve been fishing with Capt Dave multiple times and he always puts us on the fish! Inshore and offshore he always come through! Being a local, Capt Dave has taught me many tricks from rigging to bait presentation and helped me really improve my catch! I wouldn’t fish with any other Captain!!!

Captain Dave is the man! We didn’t get to go offshore because of bad weather but we did get to go inshore instead and we had so much fun ! Caught a variety of species . Redfish, black drum, sheepshead (caught my personal best sheepshead ) and lots of smaller action to totally make the trip worth it! Also Dave took the time to teach us different techniques to land fish ! I Highly recommend Captain Dave to anyone visiting the area! We had a blast!

Hands down the best CPT we have had the pleasure of doing a Charter with in the 20+ years of fishing. I have been from the west coast, Texas coast to the FL waters. Every vacation, my family and I like to either do an inshore or offshore charter. CPT Dave was by far the most professional charter captain my family and I have had the pleasure to experience with. If you are in the Daytona area, this is by far the best CPT in the area for both inshore and offshore experiences. Off the wall comment: 2 years after doing an inshore charter with him, my father and I were in Walmart looking at fishing lures. Not only did he remember us but helped us choose some good lures and gave some solid recommendations. Character is a tough characteristic to find in charter boat captains these days. This guy will take good care of you and your family.
