I have been living here in Montaje a bit over a month. Loving it this far. Place is kept clean and the amenities are fantastic. Anthony Verladi made the leasing process super easy as I was moving in out of state without seeing my unit, but everything went above expectations. If I ever need anything I am not sure about, Im able to reach out to Anthony and he responds incredibly fast and is super reliable. Maintenance crew is also fast, efficient, reliable and professional. Its awesome to also have so many restaurants and stores right outside your door once you leave the building.

Montaje has been an oasis during the pandemic. And now that all the amenities are open it’s even better. Assembly Row is very convenient — city living, yet accessible and next to green space along the Mystic River. I’ve also enjoyed the design & energy efficiency, and the security & layout of the entire building. Notable amenities are the Sky Deck on the top floor, the gym and the pool. Now that restrictions are lifting I’m sure I’ll get a better sense of the community — so far so great!

I’ve had a wonderful experience living at the Montaje. Everyone on the management team is excellent to work with and always responsive. The maintenance team is also extremely responsive and friendly. By far the best building I’ve lived in while in Boston. The building has great amenities and there is so much to do now in assembly row. I highly recommend it!!

I lived at the Montaje for 2+ years, in two different units (upgraded from a studio to 1BR). Though I had to move out of state, I wanted to be sure to share my experiences from my time here:Units: If you dont like neighbor noise, a unit in the Tower/high-rise side is the way to go for its concrete construction. Both of of my units faced inwards to the courtyard so I never heard any retail/restaurant/T noise either. Great layouts too - even in my studio I had plenty of storage space.Staff: Office staff have always been easy to reach & work with. Evan is great and was always so patient when answering all my questions, from leasing to move-out. Danielle is awesome too! Concierge folks are friendly and maintenance is quick to respond to requests.Location: Loved that so many things were within a 5-minute walk - grocery, shopping, walking/biking path along the river. The T is right next to the rear entrance of the building.Move-in/Move-out: Process for reserving elevators & loading dock for move-in/out was simple and seamless.Overall a great building in a neighborhood thats continually growing!

Failure to return security deposits. Will (or, would...) most likely reply to this review with an apology about the experience and a pretense at desiring to resolve issues, but will do nothing to actually fix them. Much more concerned about online reputation than service to residents. Fall for advertisements at your peril.... or if you want to overpay to be treated as a low priority, go ahead.

Danielle in the leasing department was great to work with. She was understanding of issues we were having and graciously rectified the situation. She was excellent with communication both via phone and emails. She was quick with answering any questions we had and would send follow up emails on anything we discussed. She made a bad situation right again. Would highly suggest working with her in the leasing department!

Beautiful place, but a hassle to live in. We enjoyed many aspects over the years but were happy to leave. Now that I have been away from Montaje for a few months I remember some of the conveniences rather than the nuisances & they have both recycling & trash chutes. ButterflyMX & the Luxor app are awesome. The building staff are professional and trustworthy.

Overall, we are so impressed with Montaje. The building is beautiful. The amenities are great. The location is prime. But the best part was our experience with the Leasing Office. We worked with Liz Cox and we cant begin to explain how wonderful she has been. She not only assisted us before we moved in but has been there through any issue we may have had after we moved in too. She is always advocating for her residents, both future and present. We are overjoyed to be a part of this community and all it has to offer.

I moved here about a year ago and I can honestly say it wasn’t half bad. The cleaning staff are nice but one of the most memorable things I’ve experienced was my interactions with the concierge. There was one that stood above the rest of them and his name was Luis. Kind fellow with a consistent smile. Always greeting and creating a personal relationship with a sense of urgency despite the many requests. However, there is a high turnover rate with the concierge and it later became more impersonal. I would’ve rated it higher but unfortunately, there was too many problems to overlook and management are too snarky for their own good.

Looks like my last review got removed somehow. I would give a 0 if I could, will reiterate the top reasons montaje is not someplace you should move into:- way overpriced for building market- inflexible leasing office with all the concessions we have to make with what is no longer available to us as residents- I have never had a guest been correctly identified and admitted even after logging them in the system- way too few elevators for the number of units, even with a building that’s far from full - I budget an extra 10 minutes anytime I need to get to my car- I hear my neighbors arguing, baby crying at least once a week and have woken up a few times- too few grills / amentities for the number of residents (when that was open)- inflexible cancellation policy that functionally has me option less with a 15k dollar penalty of breaking lease- was given no concession for the bed bug scare which required me to make alternative working arrangements twiceOverall, pick any other apartment building. It’s more stressful than the past ten non “luxury” buildings I’ve lived

I love the Montaje! Everyone is so wonderful, from the staff to the other residents. Even during this crazy time, the building is constantly seeking ways to best support the residents. In particular, I want to say that Danielle in the leasing office has been super accommodating! She is just a light around the building, and always someone that I can rely on to answer any questions or solve any issue! Also, I cant write a review without mentioning Dennis at the front desk. He is so eager to go above and beyond for the residents, and is just a joy to interact with! It is rare these days to find someone like him, and I just want to make sure he is recognized, as it is people like him who get residents to stay long term!

We had a fire in our apartment over the weekend and Montaje has been nothing short of amazing in helping us fix anything. While we were lucky that nothing was permanently damaged, our main concern was the inevitable smell after a fire occurs and Montaje was willing to help with carpet cleaning and painting without hesitation. The maintenance team was unbelievable, I can’t thank them enough for all that they have done for us. They were detailed and efficient while also caring for us, they went over the top! Can’t say enough about our experience.

The Montaje move-in experience was great. Every question answered, every need considered. My leasing agent, Evan, sent me everything I needed - including detailed floor plans not available on the site so I could plan my move cross-country down to the inch. Montaje is an excellent building to live in. The leasing staff are responsive, courteous and always helpful (shoutout to Evan)! We’ve had some issues in our unit but the maintenance and management staff communicate and work quickly to resolve issues as best as possible (Mike is awesome). A few dings here or there - would have been nice to have hand sanitizer in the lobby months ago due to Covid-19, bedroom design in some units are tight - expect those closet doors to come off if you have a queen-sized bed, and pet owners have issues curbing their animals in front of the building at times. But otherwise the fit and finishes are very nice, roof deck is really nice and the front desk staff are most often friendly and helpful. And opt for the high-rise, the concrete floors/ceilings really do insulate you from hearing your neighbors, it’s VERY QUIET. It’s a pricey building but you get what you pay for.

When the time came recently to find a new home, I knew that it was going to be tough to find the perfect place. Full disclosure—I’ve spent my career in the apartment industry and am a very picky renter. From my first conversation with the Leasing Manager Liz Cox, the community quickly rose to the top of my list. Liz was extremely patient with my million questions throughout the leasing process, and even more patient when I kept changing my mind about which floor plan to choose. This made me feel valued and welcome before I even moved in! The apartments at Montaje are brand new and gorgeous. The location is so convenient with tons of restaurants and retail as well as an Orange Line station literally steps from the door. My move in itself went smoothly and I quickly found that all of the team members (especially Mike & Mario in Maintenance) are just as friendly and helpful as Liz has been. I am so pleased with my decision and look forward to many happy times at Montaje!

Very happy with my choice in living here so far. The amenities are great, quality of life is superb, and the location is prime. In addition, maintenance and staff are friendly and responsive. The units themselves are very modern, neutral colors, and have high quality and energy efficient appliances. That being said, there are some things that I did not anticipate (like theres no overhead lighting in the living room or bedroom) and various amenities that were not opened/ready in time as promised due to them still being under construction like the common areas, mail room, courtyard, rooftop, etc. A lot of the floors are still under construction and there are crews day in and day out on week days and weekends. Some amenities could be bigger given large size of the apartment complex and the amount of people that will live here; some areas already are crowded especially on the weekends and it would be great if this could be improved upon like the fitness center, and pool/grills.Overall, this is a great place to live if you want to be literally next to the Orange Line and with tons of things to do around the Assembly area as well as a Trader Joes in walking distance.

The leasing office demanded access to my unit without proper notice, without scheduling an appointment or authorization, and without cause. This is illegal. This turned what was an okay experience at an expensive building into a terrible one. Letting yourself into someone’s home is breaking and entering.Edit: Just learned there is a “pest” infestation in the building and management is inspecting bedding in multiple units. What type of bug hides in a bed? This is hell. Really expensive hell.

We moved into the Montaje in September of 2017 and were among the first to move in. From the first day, our experience was rocky, and our last few weeks here have been a truly fitting end. When we moved into a unit that was directly across from the train station and could hear every train coming and going from Assembly Station. When moving, pay attention to where your unit is in relation to the subway, because the apartment is more fully booked it will be more difficult to move in the event you’re close to the train. With the help of Liz – the helpful member of the Greystar team – we were able to move to a different unit within the building within a couple of weeks which mitigated the noise. The apartment units themselves are very nice and are one of few things buoying this rating – they have new appliances, modern design and are fairly spacious. Additionally, the cleaning and maintenance staff were very cordial, friendly and helpful. My main grievance comes from dealing with the leasing office. They are rude, aggressive and will look for every avenue to charge money where they can and will quickly threaten with word of collection agencies when any questions are raised and/or when it is clear to them that youre moving elsewhere. We tried multiple times to work with the team to get information on extending our lease on a month-to-month basis, which took over a month to hear back. When we did, and decided to not renew our lease, we were then told that we didn’t provide adequate notice of vacancy and were going to be charged for additional days. This all stemmed from us not hearing back from half a dozen emails sent to the Property Manager until after this deadline had passed. Once we left the premises, we were informed that we were being charged for a carpet replacement; a fully reasonable request given that our dog had chewed corners off the carpet. However, when we asked what the additional “pet rent” monthly charge is for, the leasing office was decidedly silent. In the end, we paid this charge to avoid them sending this over to a collection agency. The threat of a collection agency came awfully quick, despite the fact that as one of the original tenants of the building we always paid our rent on time, and in full.I fully expect to hear a retort below from Greystar saying that we left the place a mess, sent aggressive emails about these charges, etc. The cleaning charge was fully justified and was not in dispute. My wife and I both feel taken advantage of by the Greystar team, and that they continuously looked for ways to charge us money once they learned that we would not be renewing our lease. Seems we dodged a bullet by not doing so. Prospective renters can, and should do better when looking for places to overspend on rent.

I wanted to wait before giving an honest review of this complex, Ive been here for almost 6 months now. For the most part I am very pleased with my experience thus far. All of my pros are what you see online and hold very true! The location, amenities, staff, etc. However, when I read reviews I really want to know the nitty gritty so to speak so I will outline the cons Ive experienced.Deadlines. Greystar or the project manager(s) fail to meet deadlines. I knew this coming into a new/under construction apartment building but come on. Im on the 5th floor and the garage has yet to be cleared of being a holding area for construction materials for us to park on. The sky lounge, probably wont be dont until next year. The pool courtyard area that gets the most sun, is off limits because theres a vacuum in it and poses a hazard.. Self service mail room has yet to be finished as well so you have to get your mail/packages on the concierges schedule. My last complaint would be my fault, not living in a concrete unit or on a top floor. A very.very. heavy walker has moved in above me and is slowly ruining my experience, mood, and sleep. Im not one to complain often but the floors are very thin and this guys heels shows no mercy.Aside from typical apartment stories such as the above, this is a fantastic area, complex, and community. Would highly recommend (living on a top floor or concrete unit) checking this place out!

Most people, I presume, would agree that moving is a pain. If you are like me, I have moved numerous times across the country for school, work and personal relationships. The only thing more painful than searching for the right apartment is moving there. Luckily for me, 20/20 is hindsight, and I have learned to ask the right questions, explore the right area and visit the proper leasing office. Having lived in Boston for almost three years, I struggled to move from the North-end to Somerville but I’m six months down the road, and I love my new community.Right off the back, I met this fantastic, free, and personable realtor named Kevin White. We had a brief conversation about what I was looking for and recommended this great new property in Assembly Row called Montaje. Kevin introduced me to one of the leasing agents at Montaje called John Powell. John is a young professional, and one of the most authentic and kind-hearted leasing agents I have ever met – and trust me, I have met a lot of agents. I signed the lease that same day and had enjoyed my experience thus far.My Top 5 Highlights of Living at Montaje:1. Steps away from the Orange Line’s Assembly Station2. Endless restaurants, shopping and an AMC theater within walk distance.3. A fantastic leasing staff and a tremendous community manager named Scot. He is professional, approachable, and accommodating.4. The apartments are brand new, endless amenities and reasonably priced5. It’s a luxury apartment that feels like home with friendly neighbors, and all the amenities you need if you own a pet.I believe in being honest, so here are three things to consider before moving in:1. The apartment is still under construction so be aware best is yet to come.2. Although there is a concierge, they are not present 24 hours.3. Parking can be tricky if you have a car.Overall, I am giving the Montaje a five star rating because the property is terrific, the people are fantastic, and the local discounts to bars, restaurants, and shopping is worth its weight in gold!Don’t wait any longer, if you’re in the market for an apartment in a serene community, look no further and join our Montaje family – won’t you be my neighbor?

We just moved in at the beginning of the month, and absolutely love it here! There are so many great things about living at the Montaje, and we couldnt be happier about our decision to move in.Location: Being new to the area, I cant tell you its the best location in the Greater Boston area, but I bet you its one of the best. Within walking distance there are an incredible amount of retail shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, an ice cream shop, movie theater, nail salon, hair salon, cafes, etc. Theres also a TJ Maxx/Homegoods, Bed Bath and Beyond, Christmas Tree Shop and Trader Joes across the plaza. Theres a nice walking path along the water, as well as a kids playground. If you need to drive anywhere, it takes no more than 5 minutes to hop onto 93. Also, there is the Orange Line T station literally right out the front door.Apartment Amenities: Brand new building=brand new everything. The appliances are top notch, beautiful and modern finishes everywhere, and even two floor plan styles to choose from. We opted for the white counter tops, gray cabinets and light floors, which you can see in photos on their website. The washer and dryer are efficient and newer models. The stove is a flat top (the best) and the oven and fridge are larger than your average apartment. Also, the kitchen storage is incredible! Im a huge baker/cook and I still have empty cabinet space. Too funny, since when I moved out of my last apartment, the movers joked that they hoped wed be moving into a bigger place, and its actually 100+ sq ft smaller.Building Amenities: The gym was just completed and has everything you need to get in a good work out. Plenty of treadmills, weights, machines and even a fitness studio, equipped with yoga balls, cycling bikes, rowing machine and floor to ceiling mirrors. Not yet finished is the court yard, that will have a pool, green space and grills. The community room is also a great space to bring company, and has a theater room, pool table, conference room, small kitchen and soon will be equipped with wifi.Events/Concierge/Parking: Indoor parking is $200 a month, and private for residents. The concierge team is always friendly, and even know residents by name. Plus, they have a stash of treats for your furry companions. There are community events every week, including Mikes Pastry on Mondays, and Wine down Wednesday with wine and massages. This week they moved that to Thursday to incorporate a live jazz band to get residents to meet each other. Theres also yoga on Tuesdays.Pet Friendly: Furry friends are welcome! Although there isnt a designated pet relief area (hopefully one might be in the works!) there is a pet spa being built in the garage. Also, you can walk your dog five minutes to the water and along the walking paths. Ive seen a few stores that are also pet friendly.Application/Move in Process: Everything was able to be completed online, and very easy to do. The leasing agents are friendly and made sure it was an easy process. When we moved in, we did a walk through of the apartment to make sure everything was perfect, and were greeted with local beers in the fridge, a set of beautiful mugs and coupons/gift certificates to a few places in the area. A very nice surprise!Overall, I highly recommend checking out the Montaje if you are looking for a new apartment!
