On August 1st United was supposed to drop me off at my appointment at 400 Hillside Ave in Needham Massachusetts. I specifically told them to have me there at 2:00 on, as I had paperwork that needed to be done prior to my opthalmologist exam. I arrived at 3:00, not leaving me time to get the paperwork filled out on time. As a result, my exam was delayed by 30 minutes. My eyes were dilated and it was a very hot, very sunny day. I called United and was informed that my pick up time would be 45 minutes. Im leagally blind, have had my eyes dilated and I suffer from multiple sclerosis, requiring that I sit in front of the office. I waited over 45 minutes in the 80 plus degree weather and called to inquire about the status of my ride. I was treated rudely, and told that the driver had waited for me for 5 minutes. Had the driver used any common sense or courtesy, he/ she would simply asked if I was waiting for a ride, yet nobody had the brains or simply didnt care to do the job properly. As a result, I was left another half-hour until a Lyft driver showed and brought me home. Under NO CIRCUMSMANCES will I EVER use United again. Id sooner cancel my appointment.
