Driver was kind and polite. I felt safe and knew Id arrive at my destination safely. I especially liked tracking abilities so I knew he was on his way. It was a great day!
I booked a ride to the airport two days in advance. I got a confirmation email after booking. When it came time to be picked up I had no confirmation of a car coming and it did jot come at the scheduled time. I tried to call and was on hold for 10 minutes and then the call hung up on me because no one was available. I will never try this service again.What’s the point of a prebook if there are no cars available for your scheduled time.

Very quick to get a cab to me the one time i used them as a paid cab, but ive had most my experience with taking them as a vendor for my pt1(medical transportation) rides to and from appointments. The drivers are always very nice and very helpful. And, you usually get a text or phone call when they are about to arrive, which is super helpful for disabled persons like myself who cant stand up outside at the curb for a 20 minute window. Theyve been very flexible and fast to respond if i needed to change my pickup time.

They kick disabled people out their cabs who they pick up from the hospital. I will definitely cc them in my email to the City of Somerville, the Mayor, other appropriate agencies. Channel 5 if need be.
This company is very pleasant and obliging.I would recommend them highly. I was visiting my daughter in Woburn and needed a ride home. The cab company I called in Woburn quoted me double the price Green and Yellow Cab charged me. They are the best 😉☺️

Was taking relative to doctors appointment driver was nice and confused because locally go on their Facebook if you go to doctor or grocery store or pharmacy 1 number for ages 60+ the other is Lisa who helped and its sending the Mrs. some vouchers so I hopefully get my kid to work without for next month taking an Uber cuz she uses mommys card for Eats I guess you can order through the same card without scanning a second time which is BS. So he didnt know how to put on his payment slip I gave him a $5 for a $12 trip the week and a half ago for that I paid in full and walked home the first time, took a bus for 4 back had to walk a lot down Prospect for the 91 because where Ryles club across the street is just the 83 so no longer with the 91, which is straight down Prospect and the nearest next stop is across the Dunkin next to the CrossFit.
Needed them 2x and both times they were there when they said they was gonna be there, n they drove like I had some where to be..

I scheduled a ride for them to pick me up at the hospital I work at and they canceled my ride without telling me. When I called to ask why I wasn’t alerted that my cab had been canceled they rudely said it was my responsibility to make sure the cab was coming even though I scheduled it for a specific pick up at a specific time. Staff who I spoke to on the phone we’re incredibly rude and unprofessional. I would rather walk next time than deal with this service again.
If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I called a taxi, and the employee said theyd be at my home in 15 minutes. Moreover, they said theyd send me text updates on how far the driver was. I never received any notifications.. I called the company after 15 minutes and the guy furiously told me that the driver had been waiting outside but left, then he hung up on me. The company could have easily called me or waited 5 minutes. Instead, I was left to wait outside a dangerous neighborhood.This was such a disgusting experience.

Watched car 82 purposefully get into a turn only lane, just to go straight, forcing the driver in the correct lane to change lanes or cause a collision. Not even half a mile later, they ran straight through a stop sign, no brake lights at all. Probably not the safest drivers out there.
For the most part they are quite reliable, HOWEVER, You have to make the drivers clean out their vehicles! Some of them are quite nasty! Theres one older female driver and OMG- someone could get lung cancer riding in her taxi, thats not cool at all! :-(
I take this company some mornings and I must say its my favorite transportation company... legit if theres a 10 star option they get it.... always on point with time! The drivers are always friendly and a pleasant and make my morning commute fun and easier for me and my fiance.... highly recommended A+
The driver of Green & Yellow cab license plat # LV85392 almost hit us on March 28th at about 5:30 P.M. as it tried to pull in front of us while pulling out of the projects off of Rindge Avenue in Cambridge. Did the same thing to the driver behind us. There was a passenger in the back, which means a Somerville cab trying to do a pick up in Cambridge.

Beware of using their online reservation system, call instead!I was visiting Boston and needed a cab to take me to Logan early in the morning. I searched for cab companies and this one came up with high ratings. I noticed they had an online reservation system and clicked on that from Google. I had to create an account, and then specify the address where they had to pick me up, my destination, and the date and time of pick-up. After making my reservation I received an email with a confirmation number, and all the details of my reservation.The pick-up time came, and they didnt show up. I called and the problem was that I requested a pickup from an area of Boston (the North End) they do not serve (while I later noticed this is at the bottom of their home page, it is not in their reservation page and you cannot see it if you go to reservations straight from google). However, even though I made my reservation more than a day in advance, and they had my email and phone number, they did not bother to let me know that they wouldnt pick me up, and I had to end up making last minute arrangements in a hurry. They didnt even seem to be able to pull up my reservation based on the confirmation number I received.So bottom line, they may be a good cab company, but their process for online reservations is missing some critical parts.Here are some ideas: either you have your online system check the address entered and not allow a reservation for a part of Boston you do not serve, or you have a person go through the online reservations and send an email (you can copy and paste the same message) telling the person who made the reservation that you do not serve that area. What you cannot do is give someone a confirmation of the reservation and not show up.
They are okay. When I call and the people on the other end pick up, some of the receivers are nice... others have no manners. When it comes to the cab drivers, same thing, some are extremely nice and others are really rude.I will bring up an example of a cab driver that I had to unfortunately go with and my mom was in the cab to. Well this situation was about 2-3 years ago but we had a cab driver that was from India I believe and after a 10 minute ride he charged us the typical price of $8-$10 when we finally got home, my mother noticed that the he didnt stop the meter and so my mom said did you stop the meter? he looked angrily at her and said a bunch of horrid words to my mom and I immediately got out slammed the door and called the dispatch and told them the situation. They told us that we had to call a different number to make the complaint.Another complaint is that some drivers try to take more money our of your pocket than what the flat rate should be. The trick that most of them use is taking the long way and stopping at a bunch of stop lights. Watch out for those greedy drivers and make sure you always tell them the way that they should go through and thats its the best way for you the customer thats paying money to go from point A to point B.

I go to a college in the area, and I love Green and Yellow Cab! I call them the night before whenever I need an early-morning ride to the airport. Dispatch is courteous and super-friendly (he even patiently waited when I had overslept and was awakened by his phone call), and the drivers are always pleasant to ride with.

I had called and requested a car to be pickup at 4:25pm . After speaking to dispatch I was told they come on time so I set my pick up time to 4:35 pm. The car has still not shown up and the driver in MIA. Very unreliable and will NEVER book with them again.
Ive been trying to get a cab for almost an hour with no answer. I was on hold for 20+ minutes before hanging up. I have a lot of groceries so I dont want to call a Lyft. Use Lyft whenever you can. This company is horrible. Three times Ive called they didnt send a cab and had me waiting forever. The driver for can #50 is extremely nice though
Unacceptable attitude
I got my credit card stolen apparently by a Green Cab and Yellow driver earlier this month, and that person ran 5 charges on the same day under the Green Cab and Yellow the day after, all for charges under 20 dollars. I have not used their services, so this is not a reflection on the company as a whole. Be careful out there.

Never will use their services again. I rather take UBER. Green cab never on time. They say the cab is on the way show up 20 mins later. There was little traffic and weather wasnt bad. Then the cab driver makes excuses why he was late
Absolutely horrible. Sometimes they dont pick up passengers because they are too many (4) or the driver does not like to drive to a certain location (Harvard Square!). Since they are one of the few taxi companies that supply the Davis Square area it is common to call and have to wait more than 20 minutes for someone to pick up the phone.
I’ve used this cab company multiple times, all of the sudden the Dispatcher tells me if I’m not outside waiting the cab will leave then tells me why don’t you call Boston cab company. Bunch of looser use UBER
Ive tried to remain loyal to cab companies but this is the worst of the worst. The dispatch screws up my pickup time all the time. Cabs cant find the address and drive off. Its run like the failing business model that it is.I have no love for Lyft but if you have to get somewhere reliably do not count on Green and Yellow Cab. Use Lyft instead.

Never use them unless you have a desire to be late for work or whereever you need a taxi to.They always recommend use The mobile app but that’s only so they get less calls and and don’t accommodate those who use the app. I just spent 20 minutes waiting on a taxi I ordered through the app and after 2 phone calls requesting an update I decided to call back and cancel since I was better off on foot, only To find out they had already cancelled my order and had me waiting for a taxi for an extra amount If your looking for an actual decent prompt taxi service NEVER USE THIS COMPANY THE DISPATCHORS LACK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMON DECENCY. You are more than likely better off on foot/using a Lyft or Uber service

My seat belt didnt work. Our driver drove way too aggressively,and even recklessly at some points. Tried to take a longer route until I had to redirect him.Yelled at me when I tried to take my receipt. Then took my receipt to see how what tip i gave him. Decided he didnt like how much it was, then started yelling at me, then violently peeled out wheb drivinf away. Guy definitely ensured thay ill never use a cab ever again.
I thought this cab service was okay when I rode them but then I noticed that they also have reckless drivers. A few months ago in the interesection near lechmere station on McGrath highway, they had one driver swerve lanes and ended up blocking the cars. More recently in the same intersection, the driver did a uturn but disregarded the pedestrians. The stop light was already go for the pedestrians but instead of stopping his cab to let them pass, he continued to turn and almost reach the sidewalk which made the ones crossing retreat back.
Know the city, show up promptly, polite, cabs dont reek of cigarette smoke, and all the drivers Ive gotten so far are either native or excellent learned English speakers.
Do not use this cab company. They scam customers and then continue to lie when caught!I had to take a cab from Tufts University in Medford to Logan Airport on a Thursday afternoon a few weeks ago. I would have taken the T, but I didnt have enough time between my last class and my flight. Booking online was easy and I was quoted $32.00 dollars for the eight mile ride. I got in the cab that Thursday afternoon and the driver mumbled something about it being about $40 dollars and with credit card more expensive. It was too late to do anything about it. Only twenty minutes later did I arrive at the airport after a cab ride of being asked personal questions about my college tuition and my financial aid package with a bill for $64.00 dollars (including tip)! (My flight was only $55 dollars!) When I went to pay, he insisted he would set up the credit card swiper. Its a little awkward when someone asks how much you want to tip him/her. Fearing my social anxiety, I gave him 20%. Stunned at the price, I texted my mother. My mother is a warrior when it comes to being scammed and negotiating. So while I was in airplane communication lockdown, she called Green and Yellow Cab Company on my behalf. She played dumbed and asked how much it would cost to go from Tufts to Logan. The receptionist replied with A flat rate of $32 dollars. My mom replied back with Thats funny, because my son was just charged $64 dollars. A manager was put on the phone. The manager tried to convince my mother, a native Bostonian, that the Callahan Tunnel was closed therefore legitimizing the price gouging. My mother fiercely defended the facts: I was quoted a flat rate and I was in the cab for 20 minutes for an eight mile ride without traffic. This manager would only refund me up to $32 dollars. When I called back the following day to get my money refunded, the manager had the audacity to ask me if I wanted to tip my driver. When I asked him why I would want to tip a man that scammed me, the manager started the same speech he had tried with my mother.It is a crime that a cab company that is so closely located near a university is willing to scam college students. This company was trying to take advantage of naive college student and out-of-town parent. It is a crime that I was scammed. It is appalling that they didnt refund all my money, but rather continued to defend the scam.
I use Green Cab of Somerville for faculty members and visiting faculty to our department (Economics) here at Tufts University. They are always friendly when I call and the cab drivers are always on time!

I really hated this Taxi. First of all I called them and had to wait for like 10 minutes for someone to pick up the call. Then when someone finally picked up the call, they asked me the address and I said my address. They hung up before verifying the address and just told me that it would be here in 10 mins. After 10 mins when the taxi was not here I called them again. They said that it will be here in 10 more minutes again. SO i said Okay and they hung up on me again. After 10 minutes they call me again and asked me the address again. I then told them my address with spelling it. The guy on the phone said This is why we ask you to verify the address, unbelievable and hung up on me. First of all, you hung up on me before I got to say anything. Second of all you did not verify the address with me and hung up on me. SO how is it my fault? I am very disappointed with their service. Never again.

Used on this dreary, rainy night. Trying to get to the liquor store in Harvard Square before they closed at 11. Every other local company quoted me 45 minutes or longer, I called Green & Yellow at 10:42 PM and the dispatcher said 10 min, the car pulled into my location within 5 min, and we made it with 3 minutes to spare! :)

Chose 1 star because thats the lowest I can go. We flew into Boston, and our cab driver took the longer way as opposed to waiting in traffic which charged $35 and took us to our hotel and took 3 turns that brought our grand total to $149. Can anyone help me with this?
