Ive done business several times with Teele Sq. Auto and had my girlfriend bring her car there recently for a repair. After the work was done the car was making some strange noises. We brought it back and Eli (owner) personally looked into it and even gave my girlfriend a ride home while they checked the car again. Turns out it was some leaves in the air filter. They cleaned everything up at no extra charge and now the car runs perfectly. This is exactly why we always take our cars there. They are honest, professional, and fair.

Gave me an idea of what was happening with my car, looked at it 20 minutes after dropping off. I decided to not go forward with the service needed at this time due to cost, and held off for a little bit. I offered to pay for labor and time that it took to diagnose the car, and they didnt want payment. Very kind, quick and polite here and it was appreciated.

I had a great experience here! I brought my car in for an inspection and asked if they could check out why my car has been a little bit sluggish to accelerate. They did the inspection and checked the car out thoroughly, and let me know that they couldn’t find anything out of the ordinary. They only charged me for the inspection, and they didn’t try to upsell anything I didn’t need. I really appreciated their honesty and will definitely be coming back!

I have used Teele Square Auto a few times to do repairs, and felt they did good work and assumed the prices were fair. Recently however, I had an experience that made me question the the honesty and integrity of this business, and wonder about the other times they have done work for me and what they charged for it. My drivers side window had been sticking a bit and eventually it became stuck all the way open, so I took my car in to Teele Sq. Auto for them to assess the problem. They called me shortly after to tell me that both the motor and switch were completely burned out and both parts would need to be replaced. I was quoted over $700 for parts and labor. I asked if they could just try to get the window back in the up position to give me more time to decide on the fix, but they said it was impossible to get the window back up and they had tried everything but could get no power to the motor. While in the past I had told them to go ahead and fix whatever was needed, their quote seemed rather high so I decided to get a second opinion. I went to go pick up my car, got in the drivers seat and on a whim decided to test the window. It started to haltingly go back up - I pushed it a little bit with my hand and got to to go all the way back up. I then took it elsewhere (aka my Dad) and he ordered the switch for $20, installed it in about 10 minutes, and now my window is fully operational again. I cant believe I would have paid Teele Sq. Auto $700 +. I wont be bring my car to them for any repairs in the future.

Very fair priced, easy to deal with and my 2010 Subaru Forester runs like its brand new. They did substantial work last year on the car. Specifically, timing belt & spark plug replacement, transmission fluid refill as well as passed the inspection. Flexible approach for customers who buy their own parts. Again, I really appreciate the work theyve done.

I live nearby and often stop here for gas and a yearly inspection sticker, but today I had a real problem. My car (2015 Highlander) wouldnt start and the check engine light came on when it was forced to. I called Teele Sq Auto.They picked up my car from my driveway, ordered Toyota parts, put them in, and I have my fixed car for work tomorrow. The receipt states the check engine light code. Great, honest people, fair pricing, and awesome service! Love my local independent mechanics!

These guys are fair priced, and honest. Ive been multiple times and they do a good job taking care of you. Highly recommend. They have a sister shop down the street, if they cannot fix it they will make sure you get taken care of. Wes is always friendly and responsive. Going to the mechanic is never ideal but if you have to do it, this is a safe bet to start.

Ive relied on Eli and his crew for 10 years and give them the highest recommendation. Quality work, excellent service, and consistent efficiency. They are the best kind of neighborhood business -- they take pride in taking care of their customers. I come here for annual safety inspections and they have always been great and quick! A couple months back my passenger door was dented so much so I was unable to open it and there was aesthetic damage (scratches etc). I brought it in for a quote to fix the passenger door and didnt care about taking out the scratches. The guys over there fixed my door for a SUPER reasonable price AND did some extra work by getting out the biggest scratch on my car. It looked awesome. Hopefully this doesnt happen again, but if it should I will definitely be bringing my car back to them for service. Thank you guys!!

The worst workshop that I could go to first charged me more than other places, fixing one thing they damaged another and they turned on a lights on the dashboard and then they did not want to repair the problem they made and in the end I had to. go to another shop to spend $ 500 to fix the problem that they caused. They also lied to me saying they bought the pieces from the original dealer

First visit to this shop since its close to home and I realized I needed a last minute inspection. I went in at 4:30 and their shop closes at 5. Got gas here on the way too - its full service and the person pumping was fast and nice.Walked into the shop area and waited while an Uber driver talked with the mechanic about a failed inspection. Asked if they could squeeze one inspection in and the person behind the counter said yes, they could. Pulled my car up, registration and key in the car. Theres a little waiting area with a few seats, 4 or so, and a free wifi password on the wall which was super nice so I could still stay connected to work.Less than 20 minutes later I had a new passing inspection and sticker on the car. They take cards and all. Courteous and fast service.I wonder if some of the reviews here are due to the thoroughness with which these folks inspect - some places are not as thorough it seems. Regardless, it was a good first experience.

Love this place! I was recommended here by a couple friends who also had had good experiences here and I was not disappointed. I have a good friend who owns a dealership/ repair shop in Central Maine so at first I would call him to double check their prices and recommendations and each time they actually ended up charging less than my friends shop as well as other businesses near him. They are always friendly, respectful, and quick to help. Ive since moved a few towns over but keep coming back here because I know I can trust them.

I drive a 2001 Subaru Forester that Teele Square Auto inspected. As I anticipated, it failed the emissions test. What I didnt anticipate was the challenge in having the problem correctly diagnosed. The four stars are for the garages patience, professionalism, courtesy and willingness to absorb the cost of some of the repairs that were not diagnosed immediately. Theyve earned my trust, and Id take my car back here again if needed.

My father and I have been taking our cars to Eli for the past 15 years. Elis great, he has good people working for him, hes always straightforward and communicative, and looks for ways to save me money and hassle. I feel like hes completely trustworthy and honest. We like to keep our cars a long time, but that strategy requires a good mechanic, in particular, when deciding when its time to let that 17 year old subaru go. So far though, so good, and getting close to 200,000 miles, with fairly light costs each year.

Eli has serviced more than 5 of my cars even after I have relocated back to New York after 26 years in New England I still bring my car’s to Eli, and now Wesley too at Teele Sq Auto. Every time I get an estimate I send it to Eli and he always beats a competitor’s price and fixes my car promptly. They are extremely reliable and trustworthy I just can’t say enough about this neighborhood mechanic!! Thanks for all you’ve done to help me and my family over all these 20 some years!

Went to Teele Square Auto based off of the reviews here when compared to the reviews of other shops in the area. I was greeted by Eli and considering he is the owner it is great to have someone of his level still at the shop, greeting customers, and performing the work.I had new tires put on my Jeep Wrangler and the service was prompt. My Jeep was all set before the end of the day and have been riding on the new tires for over a week without any issue.Great local shop you can trust with pricing that is more than fair. I baby my Jeep and do most of my own work but for things I cannot accomplish on my own I will be definitely going to Teele Sqaure Auto.

I have taken 3 different cars here over the years and EVERY SINGLE time I have more than satisfied with the help, advice and workmanship that I have received. I wouldnt take my cars anywhere else (and in fact ALWAYS have my cars towed back here when they have broken down either on the highway or on side roads).I think that their pricing is very fair for the quality of workmanship (and certainly much cheaper than a dealership). Their turn around time is speedy and usually accurate to the time that they tell you it will be. These guys have been nothing but helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating to my work schedule. Ive gone in for several repairs, some more major than others. I really felt like I was getting a great deal. They explained the problems and the parts required, and charged a very fair price for the labor involved. Ive also gone for oil changes and theyre generally able to get me in pretty quickly, even though I hadnt called ahead. Great team, and thankfully, great experiences in dealing with them, unlike a few other neighborhood spots. Will be a repeat customer for the foreseeable future.

Teele Square Auto took great care of my car for about three years while I lived in Somerville. I price shopped from time to time and always found their rates competitive and their customer service exceptional. There were several times when a small problem with my car (heat shield bent down due to snow) was fixed free of charge. You can trust their advice about your vehicle, the way they put it to me was that they are in the business of keeping your car on the road, the dealership is in the business of selling you a new car. Cant recommend them enough; I moved out almost two months ago and just remembered that I hadnt given them the review they richly deserve.They had a bad rating on Yelp for a while, if thats still the case be sure to read the offending reviews, theyre all bullshit and TSA responds to reach one with a much more plausible explanation for the customers gripes.

UPDATE:Since the accident I had an inspection that had a couple items failed (bald tire and exhaust issue). TSA Fixed everything and the exhaust issue turned out to be very minor. They could have told me anything and overcharged me but everything was fixed honestly and didnt cost me nearly what I thought I might be facing. Eli and crew even took my car to where it was inspected for re-inspection and brought it back! Best customer service Ive ever had. If you want your car fixed right and done honestly, you should take it to Teele Street Auto.My car was in an accident where it was rear-ended and something was knocked loose and was rattling. I brought my car back to Teele Sq. Auto. It turned out to be a simple heat shield that cost $70 to re-mount. They could have charged me a lot more as I probably would not have known any different but they were HONEST with me! I refuse to go anywhere else because these guys are HONEST people! I cant recommend them enough. They are gracious, hard-working, attentative, and best of all, HONEST! Id rate them 10 stars if I could.Ive been to Teele Sq. Auto a couple times since I moved to the area. Just wonderful... I met Eli the first time I was there and he is very gracious. The work they did was top-notch and very fairly priced. They also got my cars done very quickly. This is a family-owned business and as such, they care about the service they deliver. I have a 14 year old Honda CRV & I feel great because rather than having to dispose of it & buy a new car, Eli & the gang of great mechanics looked at it, worked on it & gave it a new lease on life.To back up, I think I started to go here about 13 years ago, beginning with the routine oil change & Inspection. It was a tedious thing to go back to Honda - make appointments, figure out a way to get from & to...so one day i got brave, & decided to try them out. I started with a little thing & - I have never gone back to Honda since. Living in the city (scraping the rims were the worst problem actually) I have had all tires replaced at least 3 times so far. Brakes changed, tune-up & some mechanical door problems. Eli usually looks at the car & gives me a call with all the problems & the costs. Yes, unexpected things come up & sometimes, I wonder if the charges are alright - but Ive never had to go back or feel that anything was unnecessary - the mechanics & workers there are all really nice & considerate - to fix a flat I think Ive been charged $10 or even $5!! I forget. I always need help with checking the air, & they just do it for me whenever I ask. In my favor, I dont have too much mileage on the car & am the sole driver.Still, i park outside & winter or summer its out there exposed. I dont have a comparison to other mechanics, for costs, but I am pretty sure that things cant be too off. The guys here know the stuff, & by now, they know my good old CRV with its new lease on life :).

This auto shop is amazing. The customer service, friendless, and honesty, is why I keep coming back. I own a jeep cherokee with a lot of extrical problems and other issues. Everything they fixed and things I did not know I needed to be fixed. The prices are good compared to going to the dealership. Being a female, I have always felt most mechanics, have talk down to me and would prefer to talk to my boyfriend. Eli and George answers all your questions and do not make you feel stupid or talk down to you.

This place is horrible... They gave me faulty brakes (as part of passing my auto inspection). They squeaked and felt generally unsafe when I pressed on them (shaking and sounding as though the metal was grating up against each other) when I took my car back they said it was new technology. Sounded like BS and another classic woman at an autobody shop getting screwed over kind of deal. They also gave me horrible windshield wipers that just make visibility somehow worse.. Definitely dont reccomend this place whatsoever. Really disappointing and ended up get wasting a lot of money.

Was in there getting gas today when a mechanic pulling another customers car into the bay backed up into my truck. When I went In the bay and asked the guy if he was driving the car he at first he acted like he didnt speak english. He adventually admitted to driving the car in but wouldnt ackoledge the fact that he struck my truck just kept ignoring it and acting ignorant. I told him he hit my tire and there was no damage to my truck but an apology would be nice. Still nothing. Ultimatly I left without an apology. The other customers car had damage to the rear bumper on the corner. Good luck explaining that to the other customer. Very ignorant employees.

We recently moved to Somerville from Texas. Changing the car registration led to the inspection. For car inspection, we saw that Teele Sqaure Auto had one the best reviews. So we opted to go there and get our car checked. It was an amazing Auto service center. The men were very humble.The owner himself took care of the car and provided the best service I ever came across. He fixed our Hyundai Elantra for a fair price. I highly recommend to go visit this place if you come across anything wrong with your car. Cheers!!

My second time using Teele Sq Auto and Iam very happy with the service, workmanship and friendliness of the shop and the owner Eli.

My radiator exploded when i was just down the block from this place. They quickly squeezed me in and took care of the problem at a fair price. I also had my rotors changed here and after leaving there was some issue with one of the calipers. I brought it back and they took care of it and replaced the caliper free of charge in a reasonable amount of time.

I mounted/balanced 4 tires for 100$, and 2 of them are out of balance. Took my car to another shop, they re-balanced 2 tires for 20$.

The best auto repair and service in Somerville, Ma. Elii, Wesley, and all of the staff are awesome. They have repaired my now 12 yo car for the past 5 yrs multiple times. The work is reasonably priced and guaranteed. I have been treated with courtesy every time. To me Teele Sq. Auto are the saints in auto repair and service in Somerville. As long as I live in Somerville I will never go anywhere else for my automotive service. Thank God for TEELE SQ. AUTO!
