I was quite surprised when I went into H&R Block with an appointment and I was out in 15 minutes. Mr Davenport was very patient and supportive, he also followed up with a phone call to resolve a problem that we found. I definitely will give him an A plus and I usually dont grade businesses publicly.

Lauren was amazing. She helped me with my taxes in ways that previous vendors never did and was able to answer all ofy questions.

I would not recommend using the services of ROBERT CHATMAN. He did our 2018 taxes at this location and we received a bill for over $2,000 from the IRS. At a consultation at another H&R block the tax specialist reviewed our filing and confirmed this was a gross mistake during our tax preparation. Save yourself the headache and steer clear from Mr Chatman.

Worst experience with H&R Block. Could not get worse than this. They absolutely do not know the meaning of client service and customer satisfaction. I literally followed up with them on my case for about a month for tax filing with a tax consultant by name Chatman in their office. He never understood any of my queries nor came back on my emails. I have to call corporate help line every time to catch this guy. And finally he gave up saying that he cannot file my taxes when I have just 2 weeks more left to file my returns. My sincere suggestion is DO NOT go to Chatman who sits in this office and North Brunswick branches. And if possible, avoid H&R Block completely for your filings. Same disappointing experience with another consultant too from this office. Am sure you can find better firms to file your returns; which I eventually did.

I went to H & R Block somerset and got my tax returns prepared. Overall my experience was bad.When i went initially, they told me lot of deductions can be claimed and when they started preparing, they were not even trying to explain why they dont apply ( I had to ask them ). They did not give me any suggestions on how to save tax.They charged me a bomb ( 350 usd for 2017, 350 for 2016 ) for my situation with only w2 based income, with out even giving the breakup of costs. i went and checked in h & r block website, to see what should be the cost. It doesnt even come close.I will not return to h & r block, would rather use turbo tax from next year. Be careful when you are going here as they charged me 350 usd for just w2 based income for NY work and NJ residence. Please get an estimate before starting and compare with turbo tax cost, it will be more than double.
