The Marigold is a venue we highly recommend! It is a very beautiful and elegant venue and the staff is so helpful. We designed and coordinated a wedding here and the couple and guests were amazed by how beautiful everything was. The food is on point as well! Cant wait to come back!

This venue is amazing if your looking at it from that aspect I just got a little discounted because they decided to allow the food venders to serve food like melted ice cream.

I really cannot recommend The Marigold enough. I was married there on June 26, 2021 and my wedding day was literally a dream come true. We knew we loved this venue since our very first tour, and from that moment on, from booking to planning, it was a seamless process and Lisa was incredibly helpful every step of the way. Everyone at The Marigold works to make sure everything was perfect and exactly how you want it, including the Maitre D, bridal assistants, and wait staff. Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were absolutely beautiful and we have since received countless compliments and amazing feedback from our guests. There outdoor ceremony spaces are gorgeous and extremely well-kept. The cocktail hour space and ballrooms are modern and extremely elegant. And one of the best parts, the food was to die for! There were so many options to make sure there was something for every single person, I can confidently say no one left hungry. I relive my wedding day over and over again in my head, because it really was the happiest, most perfect day and I have everyone at The Marigold to thank for that.

Marigold was the absolute perfect venue for my wedding and reception! The venue itself is beautiful both inside and outside. We were able to have so many amazing photos taken as a result. The day of event coordinator, Chang and his assistant Ninfa were so meticulous, helpful, and caring. Went for a retirement party. Had a great time. Most of the food was good. Salmon was not prepared well but enjoyed everything else. The staff was pleasant. I was a guest so cant comment on pricing.

Been meaning to write this review for ages. We got married at The Marigold in 9/2017 and have been recommending it to all of our friends and family since that time. Weve attended several events there since then as well and the experience is just as good (or better) every time. Getting married at The Marigold was one of the best decisions we made. The venue is beautiful. Tony and his whole team were wonderful to work with from the very beginning. They made all of the planning easy and gave great advice along the way. They coordinated with our vendors and made sure everything ran smoothly. They accommodated all of our requests to make our wedding feel personal and special. Chang was amazing - he made sure everything ran smoothly and made sure my husband and I had everything we needed. He was so on top of everything that people thought he was our wedding planner. Everybody that attended our wedding commented on how much they loved the venue, setup and food (catered by Chand Palace). We cant recommend The Marigold highly enough!!

Amazing! After a postponement due to COVID-19 our wedding was nothing short of amazing! Our maitre d’ Marcela as well as the bride assistant Ninfa were amazing as well. The wait staff was great . Its a very elegant place to hold a wedding. Gives you the feeling of a very upscale hotel. Friendly and hospitable staff and lot of parking.They have a self playing piano and a very nice lobby

The Marigold in Somerset was the perfect wedding venue! It was beautiful, the staff was amazing, and it was affordable. Lisa helped us plan every detail and Marcella was an amazing coordinator on the evening of the wedding in working with our Emcee to make sure everything went perfectly! All of this was included in the already reasonable rates--in other words, I was able to plan and hold the wedding without hiring an outside planner and coordinator!!Dave at the Marigold made every step of the process smooth and easy for us. He supported us throughout the planning process and responded to every call and text even on his days off! I couldnt have imagined picking a better venue for my daughters wedding. I highly recommend The Marigold in Somerset, NJ!

My daughter just had her Sweet 16 on Friday, March 13th 2020 just before the bans went into effect. Im so glad we werent forced to cancel. The party was magical. Lisa was so instrumental in making this night special! The food was phenomenal, and the place is just gorgeous. Even the suite the girls (her court) used was amazing and they were able to have a private cocktail hour there. The bar created signature mocktails for her and her under 21 guests. Everyone raved about the food and even the cake was heavenly - light and moist with lemon mousse filling. The hors doeuvres were all delicious and each employee was extremely attentive and took care of the smallest details so I could enjoy the party myself. What an amazing experience!

We recently had our wedding at the Marigold on October 19th and it was truly unforgettable. The Marigold had a beautiful outdoor gazebo for our ceremony, a wonderful glass cocktail hour area with seating inside and outside for guests, and the reception hall had built in lighting as well as projectors that made this venue such a hit.Big thank you to the Marigold and their team for making our wedding day so smooth and effortless. We just had our wedding here last weekend and wow, we could not be more pleased with how the day turned out. Even leading up to the whole day, Julie and Lisa had been such a great help. The management was very sweet and really worked with us during covid and postponing our wedding, etc. Marcella was my Maitre D the day of and she was AMAZING!! She was so much fun and was right there beside me all day. Everyone from the venue who helped make this day possible is just wonderful. We could not have asked for anything better.

The team at The Marigold was absolutely incredible from helping with the planning, to the day of. They made sure every detail was taken care of. Our wedding planner offered guidance and advice which we incorporated and made our day even more special. They day of the wedding, they helped facilitate the order of events, kept everything running smoothly and on time, and made sure we had time to eat without compromising the flow of the wedding day events. The venue itself was absolutely beautiful, and perfect for our photos. It was raining on our wedding day so we couldnt take photos outside but that didnt bother us because the lobby itself was such a gorgeous backdrop. The Marigold team brought us up beverages and appetizers as well and made sure we had everything we needed. So grateful to the amazing, highly competent and helpful team at the Marigold for making our big day so perfect!

Very nice

Terrible location in the middle of a residential neighborhood. The music is so loud you can hear it blocks away. Rude in house management and staff. I called to ask them to lower the volume and be neighborly they’re response was “well then call the police”. This is a residential neighborhood we’ve been here for decades, so rude!

My husband and I are so happy with our decision to choose The Marigold as our wedding venue. From the start, we were always treated like family by Dave and the rest of the staff. Everyone has always been so friendly, welcoming, and helpful. On the day of our wedding, we could not have asked for a better day. Everyone was punctual, organized, and incredibly easy to work with! Plus the venue is so beautiful and elegant! We are so happy with our choice and would recommend this venue to anyone!

Unforgettable memories

Very nice looking place, the food is fine. They are so so slow in everything they do. I waited at the bar during cocktail hour for 20 minutes only to get a skunked beer...I also waited 15 minutes to get into the parking lot, because valet parking couldnt figure it out. I personally wouldnt do a party at this place.

A lovely venue tucked away in an unassuming neigborhood in the heart of central Jersey. My husband and I held our wedding reception here in October 2019 and had a wonderful experience. Lisa was lovely to work with throughout the planning process, always available to answer questions and even helping us work through some tricky last minute changes. The venue itself is gorgeous with both indoor and outdoor settings for guests to enjoy and pictures to be taken. I especially appreciated that there are separate spaces for cocktail hour and dinner. My guests raved about the food, especially the generous cocktail hour treats. The whole staff are incredibly professional and attentive and made the whole evening run so smoothly. And for this level of service and amenity, you cant beat the price! I would highly recommend The Marigold for your next event, wedding or otherwise.

Great place for an event. Went for a sweet sixteen.

Came here for a friends anniversary party. The cocktail hour was okay with a variety of choices. The cheese plates should have had cocktail sticks or a separate pair of tongs as they were missing. There were hot and cold choices similar to a small buffet. The dinner...lets start with the salad as it was unusual with sliced cucumbers as a bowl. The greens on my plate were not the best as they were wilted and rotten, needless to say I did not finish it. The sorbet was a nice touch. The entree was dry. I had the salmon and it was overdone. Others had the short ribs that were so dry that they had to ask for additional gravy just to make the meal palatable. The dessert was okay but how can you go wrong with ice cream that was there to compliment the homemade cake.All in all this place gets 3 stars because it just didnt make the impression I had hoped it would.Note to the Marigold with regard to the valets. You need to provide them with a warmer place as is was 20 degrees and they were all standing there shivering.

We had wedding & reception of my son at Marigold.Marigold is the great place for wedding and reception. It is central jersey location so it is convenient for all the guest. New and clean facility. Management and all staff was very helpful and professional. All the members of Marigold are so helpful that we felt relaxed on day of wedding & reception. All my guest were very happy for food during lunch and dinner. Went here for a buddies wedding on a beautiful fall Saturday. Procession, ceremony, cocktail, and reception were pretty. Food was well prepared. There were two events going on at the same time, but it was fine.

Gorgeous new venue, very clean and nicely maintained. The grounds outside make for a beautiful photo op and I loved that the cocktail hour/ lunch area had a lot of natural light filtering in through the large windows. Great place for a wedding !

Nice space

The Marigold is a beautiful venue for weddings, and other special occasions that require large capacity. The staff is super friendly. The ambience is one of opulence and is a very comfortable place. The outdoor gazebo area is a nice picture taking spot.

We recently got married at Marigold and I cannot put into words what an amazing experience this was. From the very beginning Dave made us feel very comfortable ... Marigold gives you event planners for the day and I was nervous how that would go, but Dave assured me I won’t have to worry about anything the day of our events. And he was 100% right. Chang was absolutely fantastic, I didn’t stress about ONE thing, I was able to enjoy our events fully and knew the team had our back. The whole staff took such good care of us and of course the venue is stunning! Highly highly highly recommend Marigold!!!!

A few weeks ago we held our wedding reception at this venue. My wife and I are extremely pleased with this venue and all the services they provided. We were naturally nervous on how our day would come together, but the marigold staff put our tensions to ease. They were very friendly, helpful and answered all questions. The venue allowed us to visit several times before our wedding to plan things out and went over every detail with us. All the staff members we worked with gave us plenty of time and saw to our every need. During the reception our guests were very happy with the service of the bartenders and staff. We were also pleased with the overall look and beauty of this venue. The Marigold provides a wonderful setting, beautiful scenery, impressive and friendly service, all while working within a reasonable budget. I strongly recommend this place for any event!

Beautiful facility. We had a wedding with over 300 people and it did not feel crowded. Everything was set up for taking memorable pictures.

I attended an Indian wedding at Marigold. The ambience is good. The arrangements were good. The ceremonies started at 5:30 am and even at that hour all arrangements were in place.The food was probably catered from outside as it had to be ethnic Indian food.The main banquet hall was where the reception took place. It can easily seat 300 people and still have space for a sizable dance floor. The acoustics are reasonable.A five 🌟 for this visit.

Beautiful place for a small wedding venue, reception or celebration.I cannot give a full review as I did not go upstairs and see the top half.In the bottom hall an elaborate glass chandelier and lighting set the mood for dancing. It was gorgeous.

They treated us like family during the planning process and took great care of us the day of our wedding and reception. We had our wedding and reception at The Marigold on August 18th, 2019 and every single member of the team there from Dave to the staff level is absolutely AMAZING! Myself, my family, my husband, and his family are so impressed with how effortlessly both our wedding ceremony and reception were executed! We did not feel stressed on the day and everything was handled PERFECTLY by Chang and his team! Chang is very sweet and kind! :) Julie and Dave handled our pre-event planning and they are very responsive, approachable, and make you feel like family! Lastly, my mom had to unexpectedly use their kitchen to put together an offering for the Hindu ceremony and everyone welcomed her inside with open arms!

We are so happy we picked Marigold as our wedding venue. Not only is the venue gorgeous, but the entire staff made our wedding day so special. One of the main reasons we picked Marigold was because of Dave. He made us feel at ease, answered all of our questions and concerns, that the day of the wedding - I felt so relaxed. Ambiance was exceptional, staff was very friendly and courteous and the venue is very clean. If you are considering holding an event it is definitely a beautiful place to hold it.

I got married over a month ago at the Marigold and it was the best night of my life!! From the beginning of stepping into the marigold for venue hunting to the very end of our wedding reception, my husband and I were treated with such kindness and respect from Dave and his team. All the guest enjoyed the venue, food and music! Everyone at the Marigold took such good care of us. All questions and concerns were answered right away. They were always willing to work with us. Wedding planning is already very stressful and trust me as a bride you want to work with vendors who work with you, which Marigold delivered!

A family wedding reception was a great success at this venue. They made sure the cocktail hour was well done, appetizers were finger liking. Dinner menu was also as delicious. My favorite part was the desserts, so many options of mini desserts. The waterfalls, gardens and marble gazebo were picturesque!

The venue is impressive, it appears able to accommodate any size event from modest to a Gala. 3 cocktail areas & a large banquet area.

Company held their holiday party here. Facility was beautiful however I do not recommend the food. Every dish had the same flat taste. Staff did not circulate the hors doeuvres evenly and when you asked questions they were unable to provide clear answers. If you arent willing to get a drink from there bar you will go thirsty as the wait staff did not fill water glasses during the meal. Definitely would not attend a function here again.

Good Banquet hall. Visited this place for our friends daughter marriage and Reception. Good staff and nice ambience. Food is server hot and never ran out of anything. Would definitely recommend this place any major event.

The Marigold is certainly one of the best and most luxurious places to host a wedding or some event of your choice in Jersey. As a Mass resident, you will be amazed as this newly constructed event venue has a garden, valet, and vast parking hat is pretty rare for a good venue like this. Even though the venue is indian-owned, it sure lives up to the expectations and the food provided is good as well. Overall, if you want a new and luxury venue, The Marigold is the place to go.

My husband and I booked The Marigold in 2017 for our 2019 wedding. After booking the venue we had a very rocky start when planning our wedding. We had our ceremony there as well and we were told about an additional room being built that in the end could not hold our guest count. After many phone calls, Julie understood my frustration and made accommodations in every way that we asked and I could not be more thankful, Stephanie was always so incredibly helpful from beginning to end as well! At our ceremony and reception our Maitre d, Marcella was absolutely incredible. She made sure that we sat down to actually have dinner! The wait staff was absolutely exceptional, they were always attentive to us and to our guests, and the food.. absolutely delicious! I will be recommending The Marigold to many soon to be brides and from the feedback we got at our wedding many of our guests will be too! Everyone at The Marigold, I cant thank you all enough for making my wedding absolutely magical.

The Marigold Banquet Hall is a very nice place for family functions and parties. I attended Silver jubilee party of my friend. The sitting arrangement was very good and service of food and bar was in a very good manner. I recommend this Hall for your family functions.
