I have eaten at Golden Corral in the past in other locations & know I can always count on Golden Corral having a good salad bar, baked potatoes & other vegetables available & a good price since we dont eat meat. Drove 60 miles, one way, today to eat at Golden Corral in Somerset as it is the closest one to where we live. Imagine my surprise when my usually affordable vegetable meal was going to be twice as expensive because they were having a Special Prime Rib Buffet & there were no other options. No, thank you! Walked out & went across the street to Cracker Barrel where I got a vegetable plate & enjoyed our meal.

Steve Johnson the Associate Manager was such a doll to help my daughter Danielle with catering her wedding. I gave him home Italian recipes (rare in these parts), and he gave me the breakdown on them for 180 people. Its been 2 weeks since, and Im still getting praises on the food! There was more than enough, and everything was cooked to perfection. Thank you Steve for doing a wonderful job! You made Danis wedding a 5 Star event! Bravo!

Food was steel, and cold. I own a restaurant and there is know way the health department would of aloud it. Waitress spent more time sitting down not waiting. Spoke to manager of course said sorry were slow. Apparently that means customers cant get moneys worth out of food. Will not return.

Was over charged and when they tried to fix it, instead of crediting my account with the amount, they charged me again. So was over charged twice. Tried calling to talk to a manager and have sat on hold multiple times for long periods of time. Still have not been able to speak to anyone about it. Highly frustrating and probably will not be back.

I usually love golden corral at most places. We came to spend easter weekend with family and was looking forward to breakfast with with Friends and family while here in somerset ky. The waitress was great but the food was nasty . Had to wait on stuff to get done. It was just not a good experience and I hardly even ate. There WAS 14 of us and ni one cared for the food biscuits where so hard. Eggs looked runny and it didnt seem fresh or hot. Had to wait five mins for hashbrowns... not please with golden corral in somerset ky
