I reserved a car, walked 3 miles to get there and they simply did not have a car available. I went to do another reservation the price was significantly higher. When I asked if they would honor the price of the original confirmed reservation it was a flat out NO.
Please do not go this location. Awful customer service, dirty cars full of smoke, the first car something was wrong with wheel on drivers front also tires where balled, second car was over due for oil change. We wasted our entire day trying to get a decent car to travel in. I had to trade in car miles away from home. They also gave us car with no gas in it . Thank God for location off of Riverside parkway it was like night and day . I will only rent from that location. If I could give a zero stars I would. Please do not respond because looking at the other reviews and the way we where treated you really do not care. Do us a favor in Snellville and shut down !!!!
I had reserved a SUV after my vehicle was totaled. I went in to the office and everyone was courteous and professional. I was authorized by the insurance company to keep the vehicle 10 days. They called me on the 8th day to remind me of the return date so I wouldnt go over. Returned it on the last day and everything went smoothly. I wouldnt hesitate to rent from them again.
If I can give zero stars I would. We booked for a 7 seater SUV. We arrived early and was told they did not have what we reserved. Instead they gave us a minivan and told us it’s the ONLY car they had left, even tho we saw a guy was pulling out another minivan from the back. But then we saw another SUV parked in the front and asked if that’s available. They said no because it’s on hold for another customer, who by the way wasn’t even there. So when I reserved an SUV, aren’t I technically holding an SUV as well? Meanwhile, another agent, who was much nicer, told us there are a few SUV in the back, she then looked at the guy who’s in charge for confirmation, and he gave her sort of an odd look, then the conversation was dropped.At the end, we ended up leaving without a car, and stranded not knowing what to do for a trip that is scheduled to leave the following morning.

Rented through Priceline, called hertz to confirm the rental just to be sure a WEEK BEFORE and they confirmed there would be a car ready at this location. I had a feeling something was off because every time I called this location or should I say MOST none of them answered. I went to the office to see what was going on and come to find out this OFFICE IS CLOSED TEMPORARILY. DO NOT WASTE TIME BOOKING HERE. How can they close a location and still offer it as a pick up center for rentals? How is hertz not aware that one of there locations is closed? Even when I called they said it was “open”. Bad service over all. Absolutely NO HELP. Will be getting $ paid back and going elsewhere. Do NOT rent from this location!! Save yourself the time and refund. Seriously! I had a reservation for this morning, April 19, 2021. After several unanswered phone calls, I go to the location to pick up the rental as per my prepaid reservation and the doors are locked, lights off, and no one is anywhere to be found. A man from a neighboring business tells me, Oh, thats normal for this location. They do that a lot, especially on Mondays.I was never contacted by the Snellville location, or their corporate office, regarding changing the pick-up location, nor was I told this location would be closed. Also, there werent any signs posted advising customers of the closure.The lack of customer service, as well as, the failure to use technology tools to provide messaging to customers when issues arise are the reasons I will no longer support this location or the Hertz brand.Consider this review a strong warning ⚠️
Another 0 stars if I could rating. Called to tell me they’re sold out of cars. Why they let you reserve a car when they’re sold out is beyond me (it’s 2021. Online inventory is definitely capable of keeping up with real life demand). The fact that Hertz is even still associated with this location makes me not want to rent with them anywhere.
OverallThe experience was a bit shaky at the beginning.When I usually walk into a Hertz facility, I am greeted and serviced by friendly staff, very professional staff, that takes time and listens to the customers’ concerns and needs and provides quality vehicles (including sanitation and clean appearance)However, the experience wasn’t quite the same here this time.Towards the end, the team (especially Cameron and Shannon) took good care of me and my needs. This is my neighborhood Hertz and I plan to continue to do more business here.I know you guys have it in you to provide quality service, more smiles and listening ears go a long way .
This hertz is ghetto, unprofessional. They booked me for a truck just so they can tell me they don’t have any cars…. The guy at the front didn’t make it any easier. No options NOTHING! Waisted my Uber money!

I dont know if I should blame this store or the company but I made a reservation (got the conformation and everything) and then when I came to pick the car up they told me they had no cars available.. for starters why confirm my reservation to begin with if you have no cars and 2nd, why let me drive all the way up to the store for me to find out when you could have at least gave me a phone call or an email or something? Very poor customer service in my opinion
I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Tonya at this branch. I was in desperate need of a one way cargo van to move my elderly mom, and she made it happen!! She even sent across town to get a new key fob for the van because she was concerned about the one that went with the van. On top of that, she helped us out tremendously by adding air to our cars tires before we got on the road. That’s where Reggie comes in! Such a wonderful guy, who put air in our tires and made sure we would be safe for travel! Forever grateful, they both deserve a raise!!!!Sandi Lorch
Rented a car from this location for the first time for a week to drive up to DC.The 2 gentlemen at the desk were very helpful with great personalities. They answered all of my uncertainties that I brought up as I checked to make sure the rental agreement was correct.I got a GMC Acadia that was very nice. Interior was very clean, but the outside was a bit dirty. That wasnt much of an issue for me since it was about to get much filthier during the drive. I had no issues with the car during my rental period.Same gentlemen were there when I returned the car and the process was pain free and relatively quick.Only reason I docked a star was because the outside of the car is not as clean as other cars that Ive rented in the past and the location itself is a bit run down.I will definitely rent from this location if I need another car in the future.
This place is trash .. the people who work the front desk are Trash .. how are you a rental car place but do not have any rentals ?? I had a reservation for 1130 .. got there they didn’t have any cars I missed a very important trip to Orlando because of hertz .. shut this place down ASAP

Very bad experience. They are not responsible at all. There were 6 customers including us on Thursday got cheated by them. They couldnt provide the reserved vehicles. It was just rude.

I arrived to wait 3 n half hours for a vehicle when I had reservations and never recied a vehicle. Then I was late for my my meeting....do not let me repeat do not use hurtzthis is the second ti.e this has happened to me....

If I could give zero stars I would. Due to the unprofessionalism I received at the hands of Todd Mason Manager on duty. I didnt get any form of proof of identity so who knows if thats his real name. However the other gentleman that was there had way more professionalism than the so called manager on duty. His lack of basic empathy and concern for customers speaks volumes on why Hertz is in a position of failure as a company. I refuse to walk into another Hertz because of this poor excuse of customer service. I made every attempt to get him to separate his emotion from his obligation however he was unable to contain his emotion even in front of my 12year old daughter and another woman that her young daughter in the office. I told him its about your response not the situation that lost us as future customers.

Super rude staff. I honestly can’t stand when a place acts like your business isn’t worth anything. First, they gave me a half cleaned car with the gas tank on empty. On the rental receipt, they said they gave me a full tank. When returning the car, the lady rudely told me to drop the keys and that they take pictures so they know they gave me a car on E. So now I have to watch my account to make sure I’m properly charged because the paperwork makes it seem like I was wrong. Then I may have to chase them for a refund. Glad I took pics. I will never come to this establishment again. Almost all Main street Snellville car rental agencies are trash.

I was calling to request a rent a through my insurance. The manager told me to hold and she’ll call back in 10 minutes and she didn’t call back for 25 min and then decided to leave a voicemail. No call no anything. I call back for her to say we’re already closed but i can’t find your reservation... i explained that this happened last time time and she said she doesn’t see it. So i said there was a gentleman who helped me she said no men work here. I was like well i only woke to a man, yea he’s only been here for a little bit. I said well ok, but he helped me 2 weeks ago on my rental he also couldn’t find it at first either. She said no i can’t ask him he wouldn’t know and that she would love to get me in a rental and sell a car but she can’t unless i wanna pay full. I said well can u ask she said, I’m gonna repeat myself i let her know it was no need. And could she just ask him. She didn’t answer any of my follow ups just gave me attitude bc she was “closed” i said online says u close at 6 she said well check out website not Google. And then went along after the one sides conversation continued of her not answering any of my questions goes. I’m gonna repeat this one more time bc I’m gonna hang up i was like can u just answer my question. She goes I’m gonna hang up. I’m like then just hang up then and she hangs up. I just got into an accident I’m in actual pain and have no vehicle. My car was totaled (their fault) and she didn’t even try to answer or work with me. She just wanted to go home it seemed like. It’s Friday. So i understand but it didn’t even seem like she wanted to get me in a car as bad as she expressed or even at all.
Rented car here in November 2019. Told them specifically I did not want a Nissan. They said they fine, they had another car for me and told me it was ready to go. When I show up almost an hour later they say that the car needs an oil change and I’ll have to wait another hour or they’ll give me a Nissan. Which I specifically said I did not want. Took it as I needed to go out of town, but not happy about how this was handled at all.Not the friendliest customer service from any of the ladies in the office either. Upon pickup or drop off.

I wish I could give it negative stars. I took my friend there to pick up a car she booked several days before. When we got there they told her they didnt have any cars. The staff was not even interested in helping her locate another car at another location just told her to call the 800 number who was not helpful either. They were not nice abt it either it was as if she had done something wrong. We called the 800 number and the lady was rude When she asked to speak to a manager they put her on hold for 30 mintues and then hung up the phone. Now I know why I stopped using them and only use Enterprise Rental.
Had reservation for full size car. Even called an verified my full size reservation at 1:00. Got there and was told all they had was a compact. Since I put my truck in the repair shop and all of this was run through an insurance company I had to take the compact. I was told that I could come back Monday and get a full-size. While I was waiting someone returned a SUV which was offered to someone who came in 2 people behind me with a full size reservation. The SUV wasnt even offered to me.
I waited 45 mins because my car “was being cleaned”. After 45 mins I asked what was going on to find out they actually gave my rental car away to another customer. They finally gave me another car but was THE WORST rental I have ever driven. I had to ask them to clean it because it was dirty after they made the switch. Tank was not even on full yet I was charged for a full tank upon return. WILL NEVER RENT HERE AGAIN!
Requested a rental car back in may for the Fourth of July weekend! Due to some changes I had to change my pick up time From 10:00 am to 4:00 pm! We even confirmed the time yesterday Tuesday June 30th to make sure we was good because last time I rented from here we had issues! So we get up there today Wednesday July 1st and they tell us my car has been givin away already because it’s been past the 1 hour mark from 10am! Mind you we even confirmed that we changed my time yesterday that it was 4PM! They had the nerve to offer a minivan or pay $35 a day extra to get a SUV! That is ridiculous to me! I wanted a full size vehicle not no minivan! Which also takes up more gas too! I’m furious at this Hertz and I will make sure my family and friends know not to come here anymore!!! Terrible customer service! I’d give a this place zero stars if I could!
This was one of the most disgusting establishments Ive ever been in. I scheduled an appointment, but they still made me wait for over an hour to get my car. They were rude, and the place was so dirty, I worried I may get some type of infection from being there. I urge any customer to reconsider coming here and to go literally anywhere else.Id give this place negative stars if I could.Disgusting and beyond terrible.
Bad customer service. Had my mother on a wild goose chase over the weekend. Sent her to the airport with promises that she would get a car there but to no avail. The airport doesnt accept reservations from any other car rental company. Came back up here only to be told she had to wait until Monday. Well when Monday came, the selection of cars was very small. Another customer was complaining about not receiving his deposit back. And someone else was blamed for not returning the cat when they clearly had their confirmation. Over all this place needs some serious changes in management before they lose all of their customers.

The customer service at this location is HORRIBLE, and it has been for YEARS! I made the mistake of booking a rental there for my mother recently, thinking things must have changed. NOTHING HAS CHANGED! The car was DRENCHED in cigarette smoke odor, and when my mother complained about the strong odor that made it difficult to breathe, the attendant had the nerve to suggest it was the Febreeze that she had just sprayed that was upsetting her breathing. Unfortunately my mother was late for work and didn’t have the time to wait on another vehicle. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION, YOU WILL REGRET IT.
Awesome! They were great it took over and hour and a half due to the insurance company not sending the right information over to get my rental car. They stayed that long past the time they closed. The ladies had great personalities and remained in cheerful mood even though it took so long. I could not have been more pleased!

Rented car, weeks in advance, received confirmation, 2 hours, 2 hours before pick up to start vacation, they ruined it by calling to tell us they didn’t have a car for us. We reserved a car here through our insurance, we called in advance to make sure that is was available before arrival. We get to the location to pick it up and they tell us they don’t have the car and that there are no cars available. When asked why cars are available to reserve if there aren’t any available the representative just said they don’t update the website. Wouldn’t recommend this place, not reliable.
Been renting subcompact cars from them for about 4 months and no major issues. Only problem was when I requested an unlimited mileage for one cross country rental and was under the impression I was but the agent didnt put it in my paperwork.To make a long stoy short when I informed them of this mistake, the customer care team credited 500 points to my gold member account. They were very professional & kind.
I came to this location near closing time to rent a car. When I got to the Snellville location, I realized my Drivers license was missing. I searched for awhile through my purse and my wallet. They even called the manager to see if there was something else they could do to assist me. It was a Friday and I know they were ready to go home. However, Tatiana and Tashana were very patient and pleasant through the entire process. I appreciate their help and patience. Thank you!

They are always out of cars, you never get what you pay for and the cars are never clean and the staff has no respect or hospitality. Then you got the representative for the company copying and pasting the same response for every review but they never try calling to see how they can resolve the issue or make the situation better moving forward.

My family rented a large SUV for a long trip and when we went to pick it up they told us it wasnt available. We paid hundreds of dollars to rent a vehicle and instead of calling us ahead of time to inform us of the vehicle being suddenly unavailable we dont find out until we get there. We waited hours to get it sorted but they never offered a free upgrade or were able to get us a car from another location. They also did not refund the money until days later. Imagine if we had been leaving right away,we if were tight on money or if we didnt have a backup vehicle available?They had all this opportunity to fix this problem and never did. Last time we rented from this place the car was filthy and the previous renter left lots of trash in it. I guess we should have learned our lesson but the price is right. You get what you pay for.Do not give Hertz your business.

I would absolutely never use this location again. Made a reservation and they did not have the car, the manager refused to put me in anything else without charging me extra, I had to call Hertz to get the problem resolved, which she could of done in about 10 seconds and saved me the time spend on the phone with customer service . I was very dissatisfied with this location and will never go back, they give the Company a bad name, i will probably never use Hertz period .
The person I spoke to there was very nice, but the hertz business practice is flawed. First of all, I passed the location because there is no sign by the street. You have look in the plaza to notice it, but that is minor. Second and most importantly, we reserved our car online. We called the 800 # to confirm the reservation. We get there and the lady tells us that they have a long waiting list and that we wouldnt be able to get the car and that they cant fulfill same day reservations. I asked her if she could check other locations, she said they already had and they didnt. She explained it was due to spring break. Its fine with me that they didnt have a car. Im upset that I had to go there to find out especially since I went through two of their reservation platforms before I went up there. Nothing against the staff at that office but the reservation practices need to be updated.
What can I say except Excellent! If you don’t know they make a color TV, you are perfectly happy with a black and white TV.
Very poor service. I purchased an Escalade from them for 55K and they could not deliver the car due to it having electrical issues. It has been 3 weeks since I paid them and they still have not refunded me. No one can give me a reasonable answer, or when I can expect to receive a refund.
I was in & out with no issues. So not certain what is up all the negative experiences on here. The gentleman I worked with was even nice enough to save me an additional $10 in addition to the $50 Hertz Voucher I used by just taking a quick survey. So overall, great job Hertz staff. Thank you very much & I look forward to renting from you all again.
Awesome experience!! Much better than my experience at the Covington location! I explained what happened at the previous location and they were very accommodating. Carla and Lacretia were amazing, professional and got me into a vehicle and on my way to Florida!! I will be back to this location for sure.
Horrible! If I were able to rent through another company I would have, but this is through my insurance company and the closest location to the repair shop. They said they would pick me up and after 45 minutes a person from the repair shop had to drop me off. No one seemed to have any urgency about me and the attitudes were later of fact. I will be reporting this to my insurance company. I do not recommend this location at all. Be forewarned!
I reserved a car 3 weeks in advance, received a confirmation of the booking two days before, but on the day I went to pick up the car they did not have it. The customer service rep said that the car meant for us was extended to the current renter. The car they had could not be rented out because it had body damage. Upon reminding her of my confirmation, she replied that it was an automated email and [they] have no idea what [we] have.When we requested that they call the airport she said she could not and just gave us the number to call. Her co worker/manager told her to move on to the next customer without trying to find a solution to our problem.This is the worst service I have ever received. I was inconvenienced due to no fault of mine. Will not recommend Hertz to my friends or to anyone else.
Scheduled reservation online earlier in the week. Got there today and was told my reservation was cancelled because they didnt have any cars available. I didnt get a call, email or anything. I could have checked with another company if I had been notified that they didnt have cars available. Now Im stuck without a vehicle over the holiday weekend. Only rented from this location once before and after today I wont be going back.
Its an okay place, they do not have enough staff to meet the needs of the clients. There is always a long line, and most of the time one inefficient salesperson attending to about 15 people. I really dont blame the attendants, they are always overwhelmed, phones are never answered, the only saving grace is that they have a lot of foreign cars that I love to drive.
Worst place to rent from, I will never rent from Hertz again. Was supposed to pick up my car at 3 and at 6 they said if no one turns anything in I will have to find another alternative. And when I went to return the car the associate named Johnny told me that since I was returning my vehicle early that they would have to charge me a daily rate which came out to be more than my contract if I would have kept it for the full length.Please for your own sanity find somewhere else to rent a vehicle.
Tanya helped us at this location and worked incredibly hard with many rude customers who were upset about this location not having cars available. This is the very busy Memorial Day travel time so we expected there could be delays but other customers found this totally unacceptable. This is a warning...if you are wanting to rent a car before a busy travel weekend/week, expect that you might not get a car from ANY car rental operation at the exact time you reserve. And you must have reservations but you are only reserving the RATE $$ for your rental period, you are NOT reserving a car!!! You need to expect to wait at least 1-3 hrs for a car even if you have reservations. With that, Tanya drove our rental car and we followed her where she dropped it off for an oil change and immediately, we were able to take our car on the road. We first arrived at Hertz Snellville at 8am and we were driving with our car at 9:50am that day. I hope this review helps others know what to expect and have patience when trying to rent a car from Hertz Snellville. And Tanya, we sure appreciate your help, kindness and courteousness!
Customer service was on point by Ms. Lacressa and Ms. Tanya. Vehicle was not ready when arrived but was informed that vehicle had poor brakes and needed an oi change. I greatly appreciated that they was concerned about my safety and not just my money. Also I have left some personal belongings in vehicle and they were returned to me in its entirety.
I just wanted to get this word out about this business, I have dealt with them couple times within 1 year period . These guys have always been helpful, clear, respectful and courteous . They provide the vehicles that are available and I never had any problem with them. I dont know why there is so many bad reviews . I read some of them and they actually sound stupid . Terrible customer service. Person at counter was mumbling her words like it was just too much work to be professional. Had me waiting at the counter while she was on her cell phone. They barely inspected the car. Truly lacking professional staff.
I reserved and prepaid for a full size car, when I went to pick it up there was none available so they gave me a mid size and told me upon return I should call customer service and get my rate adjusted. Customer service informed me that they did the same booking I got and what I paid was less so they wouldnt be adjusting my rate.
I should have read the reviews. I had State Farm make a reservation for me since the location is close. Showed up and they had no cars available. Based on the staffing, I should have noted this is a shoestring operation at best. Asked for a call when one became available... crickets. Tried to call this morning and the phone rang and rang and rang. No answering machine or option to hold? In this day and age this would seem to be fairly simple technology.

Couple of people had been there since noon and it was for which was the time of my reservation so I quickly decided there were no cars for the day. This location has been going down for the last few years. I was a loyal customer and its definitely got worse and worse. Something needs to be done in terms of operation and performance, or the location should just close and leave it to Avis and other car rental places in the area.
Stay away! This place should be shut down... Giving them 1 start is being generous. How does this place stay in business if you never have cars available to rent?I booked a premium car over 1 week ago, but, today the lady manager told me they never have premium cars, but, didnt have anything else to offer. At 6a this morning, I received a text message and told me my rental car was ready. Two of the workers left the building to get 2 cars from Pep Boys a mile or so away. So, I guess Pep Boys work on their rental cars.They also proceeded to tell me and an office full of people waiting on rental cars, Hertz policy is not to call and tell customers they dont have cars because they were featured in a negative light on Good Morning America before.I left and contacted customer service and they wasnt much help either, they told me I need to call around to see which location had cars. Then, I called back to the Hertz on 78, gave the man my name and he put me on hold for over 5 minutes. I called the office from my home and he picks up immediately. This goes to show the piss poor customer service they are good for leaving customers on hold until they get tired and hang up. They have also taken the phone off the hook for blocks of 30 minutes.I even reached out to Hertz via twitter and that was a waste of time. They tried to take me in circles as well as the people in the office. I will NEVER waste my time and money with this company again. Whoever is reading this post, just book through anyone but them!!!
Simple process... We rented a car online. We filled out a few pages of information and the was waiting.
Cars are not available when needed . The parking lot looked like the very few vehicles it has are personal vehicles of employees. Staff seems unbothered by levelof customer service and satisfaction. It works for them and there not changing their system.
The WORST car rental company ever!!!! Do not rent from this Location!!!!! they are Liars!!!! They have camera signs up and either the cameras are broke like there unpleasant location or use the signs to make people think that they are watching them!!! BAD customer service!!!!! Should had look at reviews before renting from this location!!!! Lesson learn!!! CORPORATE IS JUST LIKE THEIR UNPLEASANT LOCATION!!!!
Nice people but this place needs help bad!!!!!! I am sitting here waiting for over an hour for my car and I am gold member. There are like 20 people in here some have been in here for over an hour like myself. CORPORATE NEEDS TO STEP IN ASAP! PLEASE CARE ABOUT YOUR BRAND CORPORATE!
The front desk representative did do a good job, but I will never rent from them again. They do not answer the phone when you call. They took 2 hours before they picked me up.The car was dirty and did not have floor mats . Only 1/4 tank of gas in it when I received it. The manager needs to do something about this. You cannot have a business being run this poorly. I will never rent from them again!!!
Do not come rent from this location the are so bad care you waiting more 45 minutes to clean car and the call you every day to asking you where is your location to update this is crazy
Very friendly place. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left everything was pleasant.
The customer service in this location was horrible. They did not have my reservation on file (when I called a day before to confirm I did have a reservation). Took a while for someone to actually come to the reception area and assist us. I have used Hertz before, and my experience was great. Not using them again.
The customer service at this location is nomexistent! I reserved a SUV last YEAR! I get there today and they tell me that they dont have it available. I would have to drive 35 minutes out of the way to another location. They overbooked but dont want to take care of their error. Stay away from this place!!

This was one of the worst rental experiences I have ever had. I reserved the car I wanted on line, and was given the option to be picked up at my home. The guy picked me up late. The car I reserved was not available. When I tried to return it, no one was available to take me home. I had to get a ride to this hertz location later that night to return it. Then they added and extra fuel charge, that took three phone calls to Hertz to correct. The next time I rent a car I will consider other options.....
I’ve rented several times here and NEVER have I’ve been happy. The wait is ridiculous and this last time, not only was my vehicle not ready but way too small. I paid for a premium SUV and got what other rental companies consider a full size SUV. The last row had adult legs up to their stomach and personally I got sick in that position!!!
Great place to rent a car. I drove it to stone mountain but found I could not drive it to the top so we decided to go to six flags and was just as good.
Service and friendliness tward cusomers gets 5 stars!!! The lower rating im giving has nothing to do with the people who work at this location. The people where amazing.The problem is the amount of time it takes to get things done because each person seems to be streched so thin.*heads up*Be prepared to wait at least an hour, hour and a half after finnishing your 15 minutes of paperwork.
GHETTO!!!!! First and last time EVER coming here!!!! We had TWO cars reserved and neither were available! For a minivan and for a 7 passenger SUV! This incompetent associate, who by the way was wearing a adidas slides, so unprofessional! She tried to give us a SEDAN!!!! Or a small standard suv! I told her that is NOT in the same class we reserved!!! Now we are stuck scrambling to find a freaking rental!!! I will be calling corporate and filing formal complaint!! In all my years of renting I have NEVER dealt with such an unprofessional, piss poor location with staff that is untrained, don’t know their own policies, class of cars and look like they just rolled out of bed!! This wouldhave NEVER happened at Enterprise!!! NEVER! After reading the rest of the reviews, I CAN SAY THEY ARE TRUE!!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS AT THIS LOCATION!!! Dear HertZ, STOP HIRING THESE RATCHET EMPLOYEES WHO DONT KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
