Wow... just... wow. I have never been so shocked at the incompetence of a business. I dont even know where to start.Normally I would file my taxes myself online, but this past year I had several new income sources such as multiple stock funds, mutual funds, bonds, cryptocurrency, and capital gains from art sales, and though it would be worth my time and money to talk to a real expert who could guide me through my tax return, as many new aspects, I was unfamiliar with. What a mistake.This woman, even though she had been working there for apparently well over 10 years. She had no idea what she was doing half the time, and every time she had a question shed yell it to a co-worker. The co-worker would then shout something else back across the room with an annoyed tone, then the back and fourth bantering would continue and I felt like I was on a candid comedy show to see how far they could push me until my breaking point. Heres how one (of many) interactions went between these co-workers -Worker 1 - Hey, how do I find this section for XY capital gains?worker 2 - shouts SECTION 4worker 1 - shouts I know but where is the section for XY type capital gains?worker 2 - shouts SECTION 4worker 1 - shouts I know but where is the section for XY type capital gains?worker 2 - shouts SECTION 4!!!!worker 1 - shouts I KNOW BUT... worker 2 - interrupts shouting I SAID SECTION 4!! and then pretends to answer a phone call, which seconds after, worker 1 points out on the phone, that there are zero current calls at the officeOne time through the appointment, she asked me you buy bitcoin? I said no, as she moves on to the next section, I continue... but I have bought and sold a couple other types of cryptocurrency she said oh, nah dont worry about that.Another time during the appointment, when I was trying to explain my capital gains off of some personal items from hobbies that I purchased several years ago for fun, and resold this past year as I received offers I couldnt refuse (and happened to make some great profit from), she told me we not gonna worry about that so I responded I would really prefer to report these as I made quite a bit from these items, in addition to the fact that I might be using that income to help acquire loans in the near future she continued but... thats just your hobby, just keep that to yourself so I then pulled up some articles directly from the IRS stating that this type of income must all be reported, and kept insisting that I wanted to include these things in my tax return, so she finally gave in and started to fill out the forms. It was obvious that she just wanted to end the appointment as soon as possible.Seriously?? Its like youre encouraging me to commit tax fraud, when Im trying to be upfront about everything!The only thing these people do is ask you questions and fill in the forms using the tax software that they are given. They are not experts in ANY way whatsoever.In the end, she asked me if I wanted any additional services, and one of them was a $40 Peace of Mind guarantee which supposedly protects you incase they made an error on your tax preparation. Shouldnt something like that be included? Why else am I here?! Especially when the prices are already crazy high? In the end, they told me that the fees for H&R Blocks services alone would be over $400. So for a 45 minute appointment, Im charged $400. I basically paid the hourly rate of a professional attorney, but instead received an entry-level employee to fill out a form using tax preparation software. I was hoping for someone to give me professional advice and I received the mirror opposite.I feel so stupid for trusting my taxes with a place like this. Ill never make that mistake again.I could actually go on, and on, and on; there were many other unprofessional things about this business, but I realized this review was becoming quite long, and I think whoever is reading this will get the point.

Ive used H&R Block for the past 6 years, both in NJ and GA. In my opinion, the tax preparers are knowledgeable, patient, clear in their communication and they get my taxes done effortlessly.

My appointment should have been Saturday 6th Feb.the girl could not listen clearly to take the appointment..next thing I get an email stating my appointment is Wed Feb 9th at 2pm.. I work so how can the be.. so I call to ask why did it change to have a woman reprimand me telling me to quick raising my voice because she cant spell me name..if they cant spell your name and you have gone there for the last 3 Years...maybe time to change going to H&R Blockthey did screw up the stimulus checks did they not...cant change how they made me feel!

Not knowledgeable at all didn’t know What she’s doing and I want to cancel doing these taxes through you guys. The manager doesn’t even have knowledge on your services didn’t even know that the advance started on the 4th. I’ve been with hr block for years and I won’t continue going forward.

The manager Jeremy is EXTREMELY RUDE and unwilling to help. He came across very sexist and spoke down to me throughout our conversation.I had a specific representative name written on my drop-off packet. I asked the front desk clerk two times to give it to this specific person. The next day, after I picked up my taxes, I realized a totally different person did my return -- And no one bothered to tell me!The drop-off packet was sealed and signed and had a personal note for my representative. The manager man-splained that not telling me someone else would be doing the work was totally acceptable. He spoke down to me throughout the entire conversation and offered no help or solutions.Had I known my representative was unavailable, I would have gone to someone else, but I was never given that chance. Jeremy is disrespectful and unethical and sexist.

Patricia Robinson helped me and she was absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond to make sure my taxes were done right. Great customer service. I will be back

Loved my tax person

We felt rushed! They should review their scheduling because we pay to be helped and clarify our questions with time. This is a very detailed process and cannot be done in a rush (just because you have more clients waiting). I am paying for a service to be done correctly, --- and we are not paying little money for this. In addition, the system was down when we first went in the morning and thus had to return in the afternoon. This is not the first time we have had a bad experience with H&RB. Not recommended.

Anita is very good at what she does and efficient as well as patient. I liked the way she explains what she is doing and made me feel very confident in her abilities to handle my taxes.

H&R Block specialist Michelle is the best H&R block specialist Ive ever went to. She not only helped me with my taxes but she gave me information about the new W4. Michelle really takes pride in her job and it shows through her work. I dont want anyone else to do my taxes.

Had the worst experience at this location. We were quoted a certain price, made an appointment for tax preparation, had to wait for about a hour before the tax preparer acknowledged our presence. She never discussed any pricing and we didn’t think to ask since we were quoted one a week earlier. At the end of the process, we were asked to pay twice the amount quoted that it was the 15th of April and that the price wouldn’t change. We asked to speak with the manager and was told she wasn’t available. We are still waiting for someone to contact us.

Connie Mangrum, Cumberland Square North location was awesome. I messed up trying to do my return online and Connie had to redo them. More expensive than I thought but that was my fault. Very pleased with the service I got. Will be back next year!

Submitted my application for itin and tax refund in month if February these guys submitted it in month of April and everytime when I call them I got answer to wait for one or two weeks. Now its almost 5 months still waiting for itin.

I was in and out,very fast service. Got me the most money I could get.

Was stood up two times by the tax preparer although I had a confirmed appointment. Some else then finished but I had to argue to review it before they wanted me to pay. I found so many mistakes, I ended up taking my paperwork and now will do it via Turbo Tax. So unprofessional
