I had a great experience at Sparkles Family Fun Center. This place is good for birthday parties for ages 5+. They also have a skating holder for your kids (dont know how to explain it) to balance themselves out, yet have fun. They have arcades, food, beverages, good AC, etc. Id definitely come back again❤❤
This place was packed and full of some of the best skaters. They were young and old enjoying themselves. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Everyone was doing there own thing which you dont see often.
Sundays is Aunt day so I normally take my niece to different places around Marietta . Last week we went to the Kennesaw location and it was horrible ! So this week we tried this location and the whole vibe is different . The music is 1000 times better, all the game machines work, bathrooms are clean etc… We will definitely be back!!!! This location brought back so many memories .
Always fun and a great way to exercise and hang with friends
Atmosphere was nice, workers were a little ghetto and rude but the people who come are super sweet they all see kids who fall and help them up and are all friendly it’s great
A dope family skating center. They have a indoor climbing.. contraption for the kiddos lol, check their website for photos and the appropriate name. They have food at very decent prices for a skating rink. There’s a small arcade area and ticket exchange area where the kids can get toys. I had a blast. People on the floor were super friendly and the environment was very homey. The fact that admission is $6 on Wednesday’s will always keep me coming back. Overall their admission is cheap so I’d definitely recommend this place to ANYONE that skates!!
I came during a weekday, so it wasn’t too crowded. The staff were friendly and helpful. The interior and exterior are dated, but I guess it’s part of the charm!
This skating rink has a long standing history of skate nights, events and skate legends. Fun place for adults and kids to skate.
Tiny Tots time is a great outlet for preschoolers and younger to ride their own scooters and toys around the rink.
Horrible customer service. The cashier at the cafe court was very unhelpful! I would ask him a question and he would act like he is not listening. I was expecting better treatment.
Man you have to make it up for the Sunday night Adult session! Total vibe and music on point with DJ Fly Ty!!!! Gotta keep our rinks open, its for the culture! WILL BE BACK AGAIN SOON :)
Me, and my family had lots of fun tonight at Sparkles Family Fun Center...good music and food.
I love going here every Thursday with my friends to roller skate! Tho I do have to say it does get really hot really fast and idk if there is an AC or not but it’s not working. Also I wish they had more varied music playlist because every time I go(not only thursdays) it’s the same old songs replaying. Aside from that the staff are chill and the community there is really nice.
Great atmosphere overall kids had fun skating did not like the designated skating area for the kids they were not able to skate freely. Did not like the fact that the majority of the Game Machines took money and Associates were not willing to fix the problem or return the money or shall I say tokens. Did not like the fact that I paid for the jungle gym when other kids were entering so freely when I ask the manager about the issue she told me she would be over shortly and never came instead she was talking to the other associate laughing about other conversation over all the place was a great atmosphere lots of fun and smiling faces just need to work on customer service and handling issues property. Also just to let anyone know if your child needs to use a skate trainer, they are $5 non-refundable which is totally overpriced!
Place has evolved and grown so much...i love to see it. Plis they treat everyone like family!
Went there for great-granddaughter 7th birthday. Wow thought I had been transported to the 70s. Didnt know young people still skated. It was wonderful thank God my great grandsons birthday is next month. Good food too!!
I think they may have lost a few staff. The staff there now are not very attentive to the details of customer service. There was one lady on the floor that was excellent at helping the beginning skaters in the middle of the floor. Wish she couldve cloned herself. My husband bought the kids some food and it seemed as if the food was old. Then it was overcooked. The gentlemen said that they changed the grease once a week and there was nothing he could do about that.He did offer to put them in the microwave but my kids wont eat corn dogs out the microwave. So my son just got the pizzaBut the hotdogs looked like they were old and those arent cooked in the fryer. My twin ate half and was throwing up the next day.Go with your gut if the food doesnt look appealing. They can do better
Sparkles is like a throwback to the 90s. The carpet and wall decorations are bright and colorful, with the neon colors you would expect from a skating place. The actual skating space is smooth hardwood and large enough to have fun. You can go pretty fast before having to turn but there are also “lanes” so people can go slower. There are lockers for your stuff (50 cents) and an in-door playground for the kids. This is a good place to hangout for a large group, specially for families.
Adult night met my expections with the R&B music. The adults, older, were friendly and civil. I recently moved from California to Georgia and took up roller skating again. I really enjoyed myself and im looking forward to sunday adult night.
DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY TO THIS PLACE!!! They charge parents a fee to come in and watch your kids skate or play. Im not sure who advised them of this very unethical buisness strategy, however i would discourage anyone who states they want to patronize this place. I cant believe the greed of the owner to implament such a policy at a family eatablishment.
Its back open. Yeahhh! Took the kids on a Saturday 2 weeks ago during the 1-5pm slot when I figured theyd have the leastttttt amount of people, would be there. Im.an avid and longtime skater, so I got to help my middle kid ( the senior)teaching her to backward skate and cross over on her turns. It was good to get out the house and work on these thighs. Lol lol
It’s ok for the money. The staff is friendly. What I didn’t like was seeing so many kids mixed up with the ‘pros’ who are there to take over the rink . They go too fast, skate backwards, wear backpacks, headphones, and don’t care who is behind them (or in front of them, I should say). The center is taken over by groups dancing and trainees can’t really use that area which pushes everybody to the outer circle. So if you’re just learning how to skate I would go when there’s very few people to have plenty of room to practice without fearing getting knocked down by the fast skaters. They really don’t care. I felt someone’s shirt touching my arm when he went by me real fast. That’s how close he got to me. BIG dude that coulda thrown me across the rink.
Space reserved for youth skate parties 🥳 tubular setups for novice skaters are available for rental. Tokened Game Arcade... reward tickets earned to trade for prizes.
I had fun skating with my sisters despite the lackluster employees....the dj was spinning hits
My family and I really enjoyed this rink today. We are all beginners and no one ran us over.
Moms skated free on Mothers Day. I love this place, great for families. I highly recommend
I love the vibe there. Friendly and the music was great.I came to GA for a few just to get away and be stress-free and this took me away from it all for a moment!! Honestly losing a mother and sister in 4days was alot ro handle this month..and I was surprised that at this rink it was their normal to stop and pray Im the middle of the session which I loved as well.. as friendly as people were they introduced me to a friend of a friend of a friend who ended up leading me to someone else who in our talk ended up laying praying hands on me.. truly a blessed night...oh I failed to mention the set up was very nice and they actually closed down a week prior to sand down that floors like new. #smooooth The music great, a sexy tone with the neon lights...ladies bathroom CLEAN!!! 5⭐s
Cost for 2 kids under 5 to skate was $30 plus $5 for training skate rental. They wanted $4 to play in the indoor play area, ridiculous. Top it off, they were out of food at the concession stand at 3:30! I loved this place when my older kids birthdays were there, but now its gone down hill.
Love it. Kid friendly, been going since I was single digits lol.
My son and his friends enjoyed his birthday party 🎊 🎈 🎉 Our hostess was awesome! The food was awesome! The music 🎶 was on point! I was thoroughly satisfied with the service overall!!!! 🎉🎊🎉🙌🏽
Went for the adult roll and had a great time..positive vibes and great skaters..Ill be back.
Best skating floor Ive ever skated on so far. I dont know if they sweep, mop and wax the floor weekly but its so smooth, no cracks or anything on it (never experienced that anywhere Ive skated before). You can easily pick up speed without much effort. The music is always on point. The atmosphere definitely has a 90s -early 2000 vibe. Prices are fair. Come out to Adult skate nite and watch some incredible skaters.
Best childhood memories from every Friday night in my tween years....loved this place!
Had a great time. The facility was clean, as was the music. Will go back again.
Went for a friend bday party. First time going. Didnt skate but had a great time. Will be coming back.
Not impressed....dirty table and floors on a Monday. That mean no body cleaning during covid 🤔. Thank goodness I brought cleaning Wipes. Then how you sell food and out of 4 things I asked for, no boneless wings, no hotdogs, no tenders to sell separately and limited on the number wings I can order. Im done!!!! Staff will over charge you so check your bill. SMH
They had a good deal going on but the place needs better management. They are not organized, the guy that provided the roller skates you can tell he hates his job, line is long to buy food to find out that they didnt provide any food until 5:30pm (it was 3:30pm) however we seen other people eating. They dont have any stations with hand sanitizer for people. I wont come back to this location!
Its always nice however the new york Dj sucked last night so lots of Us left early
Food always hot but happy meals always have girls toys!!y grandson always me why they keep giving me girl toys in my Happy meals now it should be called sad meal!! Smh
Excellent place to skate! I go on adult night good music, nice crowd, reasonable prices.
My first time in Atlanta this establishment with large friendly with an exceptional amount of parking. An adult atmosphere the music was great and skating was amazing
No DJ and the music was horrible. Expensive for no reason.
Came all the way to GA from NC for family Vacation and my Fiancé, The kids and I really enjoyed ourselves
Sold me alcoholic drinks with no alcohol. I had 4 drinks and didnt feel anything. I may have been born on a Tuesday but not last tuesday
New Review: July 4th Hey! I brought a family a 6 skating and upon entry at about 1:45, Lindsey said no one was there and the owner authorized the rink to be shut down. The young ladies in the pictures were cleaning and literally putting families out of the rink 2 hours before closing! She said the rink number was the corporate office number. She said no one else was mad so what was my problem. People were being called early to pick up children who did not have an immediate ride. Little kids celebrating parties were put out early. That is NOT okay on so many levels. It is also false advertising. And whats really bad is that Lindsey felt super comfortable with her behavior and said she was the manager on duty. This will have to be addressed before we return.
Adult is probably a better day if youre trying to learn or do not want to dodge little kids trying to skate unsupervised by an adult.
I have been going here for over 25 years and the customer services is at its worst. I could have went to Hiram or cascade but because I had my son I choose this location since this was my old stomping grounds. Admission dude was cool. The dude who gives you the skates was young, rude, unprofessional and seem like he wanted to leave. Every 5mins he would leave his post therefore u standing there waiting another 10 mins before you can get help. NO coronavirus precautions at all. Yes me and my family had on our mask 😷 but 80% did not not even the workers. I brought my own wipes & Lysol spray anyway. I work in customer services and I’m all for giving young people a job but it’s my own people who were lazy. Not to mention the young unprofessional rude little girls at the food counter where there was no food, no mask, and only pop corn that they were handling with no gloves and only took cash. The rink itself a great but I’ll be taking my business else where going forward.
No tokens for the kids to play games and 2hour wait for food to get to us
My daughter and I have been here twice, and we love it here! The food is pretty good, the rink is smooth and very easy to skate on...music is good, and definitely a fun environment for sure!
Fun and very nice.. good DJ.
My kids throughly enjoyed themselves. The staff was friendly and attentive as well!
To much fun until this one lil girl got hurt poor Lil girl I felt so back I felt her tears
My family loves this sparkles!
NO safety protocol for Covid-19😷....and it was sooo crowded...the music was AWFUL!!! It used to be a awesome place but it has changed drastically...so sad😣 i love skating so i hope it gets better
Its okay. Some of the game machines dont work so be aware of that if youre buying the Groupon. People that work there werent all wearing masks. Outdated but had a good time nonetheless.
This place is a joke. Their kitchen is horrible. The manager in kitchen looks a mess with dreads. And told me he couldn’t make my son fries cause he was going on break.
You have so much fun there
Transported me back to my skating days :pAuthentic old school skating rink. Staff was very accommodating when we had to reschedule a party.
Always good fun.
Dirty/dusty they havent a shampoo machine on that floor in years . Skates hurt due to no lining inside 😢
It is what it is and does what it does. Fun!!!
I had a great time!
My kids and I really enjoyed our time here. The place was clean and nice. The employees were nice and friendly. Great job Sparkles!!! We will be back soon!!
Everything about this place is great; however minus two stars for having ZERO precautions in place for COVID! Not cleaning ANYTHING, not the bathrooms, tables, nothing, no capacity limits or it seemed like it because last night it started to get very packed, a lot of staff not wearing masks. Me and my family will be hunkered down for two weeks after a visit in that place. I should have left after an hour before crowd started, but the kids were so excited ...smh.
Best place to go skating, great live dj and music, family friendly, definitely my favorite place to go roller skating
Excellent customer service 👏
They did not have a DJ and the music selection was trash. I wont be back.
Ive been bringing my children here for years. They love this place. My rating would have been 5 stars, but I noticed their snack bar has a health department score of 80.
I had fun go there again.
Nice spot. Nice for kids.
My girlfriend and I have never been before, so tonight being our first time there, we weren’t really expecting anything wrong because when we walked inside it was pretty nice. My girlfriend had surgery on her ankles a few years ago so of course she wasn’t going to be the fastest person on the rink. But she has skated after her surgery before and she can skate just like anyone else with minor issues other than the fact that her ankles get weak and we have to take a small breaks. ANYWAYS we get going after we get our skates from the front and I have to help her onto the floor so we can skate. Then one of the employees who wears the ref jerseys that skate with everyone who make sure things run smoothly told us that we can’t just stand on the rink floor. Which i understand because he probably didn’t even see that I was only trying to help her onto the floor. So no biggie we didn’t say anything and he went on about his own business. Eventually we had to take a break because of my girlfriends ankles. After a break we decide to get back on and the same guy comes over and says that she has to go to the middle of the rink to warm up and practice first even though she can skate just fine. So whatever we go to the middle. After that we take another break and eventually get back on the rink and skate. And now that my girlfriend has worked her ankles up, she gets going a bit faster and it becomes easier for her to skate. At some point she fell. Because people fall sometimes which is okay. As long as you get back up and dust yourself off, it’s no big deal. And here comes the same guy who told her to go to the middle comes over and instead of asking if she’s okay or helping her up, he tells her to get back up and go to the middle and that he wasn’t joking when he told her to go to the middle. And not only that, he says she’s going too slow when there’s literally people just standing in the way of everyone doing their own thing spinning in circles and yada yada yada and not even acknowledging the fact that people are having to go around them instead of just going to the middle to do whatever they wanna do. Which I didn’t care because it didn’t bother me that people are just trying to have a good time. What bothered me is that we were the only ones who were being told by this guy that the way were skating didn’t meet his standards. Oh and we were also the just about the only white people there. It’s a shame there’s lack of good customer service and it’s a shame that when people are given power, they use it to their advantage and abuse it. We spent $28 for the 2 of us to have fun and not even 30 minutes of being there, we already felt like we didn’t want to be there anymore. I’m grateful getting to spend time with my girlfriend and have fun which is what we came to do. Not get told how to skate and treat us as if we’re children. If you’re thinking of going, good luck. Thats all I got to say. Hopefully the $28 i paid is used to maybe upgrade the skates too because if you use inclines, they won’t stay strapped onto your feet. Nobody’s gunna catch me back at this place.
It was very clean and staff was very friendly. The bathrooms were very clean as well.
Skating rink is very family friendly, but the DJ is horrible with the mix of of music....he needs lessons....
Great fun will be back again!
It was a different experience at a roller rink....all ages, cultures...the music had what like a gay club vibe.
Nice atmosphere. Had a good time.
Nice Atmosphere, fun for kids, all ages having fun, great music and food, very clean.
