CrossFit South Cobb is the real deal. If you want to get in shape and have a lot of fun doing it this is where you should go. They are great with beginners and you will get a customized plan that works for you. Love this place!
I have only been a member for 2 weeks, going into my 3rd. I am excited to wake up daily as early as 5 Am to attend the 5:45 AM class. I found the workouts to be challenging, but reasonable. The coaches are super knowledgeable and patient with me, explaining each move and exercise so I wont get injured. The other members are so kind and helpful, always cheering me on. I would highly recommend this location if you want to get fit and strong. Great sense of community.
Miles is a fun, thoughtful and forward looking business owner who cares deeply about his members and their journey. If youre in the area and care about your fitness, you should visit his gym.
This is a wonderful gym. The coaches/trainers are fantastic, and the community is so supportive. I love it here.
AMAZING atmosphere!! This is by far the most awesome CrossFit community and facility I have encountered! This is a no-pressure environment where you can come in and work out with awesome people and excellent coaches. The people are friendly and there arent clicks like most CrossFit gyms that I have seen. I have been coming here since August, and absolutely love everything about the place!! Lots of space, lots of activities. In addition to CrossFit, they offer Olympic lifting three days a week, weekly rowing clinics and some of the most caring and talented coaches I have met. The folks that make up this community are nothing short of amazing. I have never felt so welcome. I highly recommend these folks!!. The facility is the largest and best that I have seen, and there is enough equipment there to train the Army! I thank God for the day He led me to this place!
Great gym, great coaching, great community! Love that you can choose to do the workout of the day or do your own thing on the side. The coaching is very thorough and structured. The members and the coaches get to know each person and make them feel at home right away!
No pretense, great place to exercise. Even better if they would add additional leg press and bench press machines.
Great place. This gym believes in supporting the community, feeding the hungry.
Dropped in for a workout the other day. Very nice gym, Miles was very accommodating, and his staff was excellent and friendly. I highly recommend checking them out.
I love CrossFit South Cobb for its welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable and supportive staff. There is a great sense of community at CFSC. The members are very down-to-earth, welcoming, and supportive as well. Every time I leave, I feel stronger and better than I did when I arrived! CrossFit South Cobb has a good thing going!
Coming off ablut a year off from weightlifting, South Cobb has been a great place to start a new fitness journey. Programming isnt excessive like some gyms in the area and the coaches are consistent and knowledgeable.
As a member of just over 3 1/2 years, I can’t imagine having started CrossFit anywhere else. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff AND members. Easily becomes a 2nd home before you know it. A little hard work and CFSC easily helps you work toward the best version of yourself.
Love this. Machines are usually available and the staff is so friendly and helpful!
I just started at this gym and I am feeling great. I was nervous at first, but after a few classes I feel hooked. Great coaches and fellow members.
This place is awesome. Ive been wanting to do crossfit for a while but have been hesitant cause I have a bad back. The instructors know about it never push me with something Im not comfortable with. These coaches are awesome and the workouts are a hundreds times better than just going to LA fitness everyday
CFSC is GREAT! So glad I joined this box. The coaches are helpful, encouraging and supportive. The other members are inspiring! The 5:45am class is like family!
Did my first Olympic Meet here. Was spacious and great atmosphere
Love how the coaches take the time to explain the workouts and how they help you to fit in as soon as you enter the box!! I have been to other boxs and nothing compares to south cobb💖
Great gym that is local to Smyrna, Vinings and the Cumberland district. Ive participated in CrossFit for well over six years and at multiple locations, and Crossfit South Cobb is a place I feel strongly enough to actually post a review (first ever review on here and on Yelp). Coaches are friendly and knowledgeable, and they are constantly bringing in specialists (massage therapy, chiropractic care and dietary specialists) to offer greater care and value to their clients. Great WODs each and every day that you can catch at pretty much any time of day, and Olympic strength training is provided 3 to 4 days a week. Athletes of all levels will be challenged in a fun and competitive atmosphere that is fostered by the owner Miles and his staff. Id strongly encourage you to stop on by and see what the gym is all about!
I love this gym. I am a morning person and prefer to accomplish the hardest part of my day as early as possible. The 5:45 am class gives me that opportunity. I have made great friends, grown in strength, and achieved goals I never knew I wanted to achieve! If I had to say something negative it would be that we do burpees. But without burpees I wouldn’t have the cardio for the other sports I love. Crossfit is challenging, but challenges produce change. This is why I joined and will always be a crossfiter.
I did a drop in as I was visiting and had a blast! Will be back for another soon
Great staff. Positive environment and great facility
I just celebrated my 2 year anniversary at CFSC. Ive never done anything like this before and it was WAY out of my comfort zone. Im not athletic (or very coordinated); I used to think I was too girly to lift weights and always felt intimidated in a gym. Walking on the elliptical in my basement while watching my favorite shows was not doing much so, on a whim, I tried the Intro class and was hooked!I like the combination of strength training and cardio. I like how every day the workout is different and challenging. I like the feedback I receive from the coaches (they know when to push me harder and when to tell me to stop). I like how its not just about working out, but they incorporate nutrition, and have onsite chiropractic and massage therapists. I like how CFSC sets up fun events like the Chili Cook Off, Field Day and several community service opportunities too. But most of all, I like the people! I have found a whole new set of friends, a new community, a new family! These people encourage me, motivate me and hold me accountable daily. They were very welcoming since Day 1. They make me want to do my best. I still may be the slowest and weakness in my class, but I dont care, because I see how much Ive improved in the past 2 years...things I never thought I could accomplish before (a pull up, rope climb and running a whole mile!), now I can. And I see the benefits in my every day life... walking up stairs no longer makes me out of breath. I can go hiking or bend over to pick up a heavy duffle bag without hurting my back, or having my knees ache, or lying on the couch for the next two days because I cant move. I feel stronger and Im walking taller. Im not doing CrossFit to become a body builder. Im doing it so that I can enjoy every day life activities. CFSC has literally changed my life!
Great community and wonderful coaching staff. The owner is very personable and approachable.
Amazing coaches. Great atmosphere and community.
I have been going to CFSC since March 2013 and loving every minute of it.Background: I was a volleyball player all throughout high school and played intramurals in college. I had been to a few chain gyms but was not seeing the results I wanted and was never motivated to go.I had heard about CrossFit through a friend and decided to check it out. I googled a few CrossFit gyms in my area and sent a few emails out about wanting to come in and check out the gym. The first response I got was from Miles at CFSC. He was welcoming and encouraged me to come in for a tour and free trial. So I got up the courage and went in. From the start, Miles was friendly and very knowledgeable about CrossFit. He took me on a tour of the gym and explained how you start with the two week beginners course and then you can join the group WODs. Knowing there was a beginners course where they taught you correct form was a relief, because I honestly thought you just had to learn as you go. After a few days of thinking, I signed up for the beginners course. For 2 or 3 days, for two weeks, I met Miles and my other beginners classmate to learn about CrossFit, form, movements and nutrition. To be transparent, It was the hardest two weeks of my life. Ok that is dramatic and not true, BUT I was so sore I didnt think I was going to make it. However, It was a good sore. I was using muscles I hadnt in years and I knew after that two weeks that CrossFit was what I was looking for.Fast forward two years and some change, and here I am...still loving every minute of it. I can only go 2x week, due to work scheduling, and still feel great, see results and always feel welcomed by everyone. I have watched CFSC evolve and become a really really great gym. Over my two years as a member here they have added weightlifting classes, rowing classes, more equipment, private training sessions, running classes and more! The coaches are really incredible and are always there to help and encourage! I really cant say enough great things about CFSC. Do yourself a favor and check it out!
Great introduction to Crossfit. Motivating...a real game changer!
Great community and facility, wods are always a challenge.
Awesome family atmosphere!!!
