Vinings Barber is great! The entire staff was very friendly, professional, and treated me like they had known for years on my first visit! The facility was also very clean, inviting, and relaxing. I got my haircut by Brandi and she did a great job! She knew exactly what to do and gave me a perfect cut! Brandi was also very personable and it was great meeting her and getting to know her! I highly recommend Brandi and Vinings Barber as a whole! Brandi will definitely be doing my next hair cut and encourage everyone to give these awesome people your business as well!

Karina really went above and beyond for me today. I left with the best haircut and beard trim I’ve ever had. This experience was like being at a spa. I almost fell asleep a few times. I was also a last minute appointment that was graciously accommodated. Karina ended up staying an hour past closing to finish me up and never once made me feel rushed. She is obviously proud of the work she does and has definitely gained a repeat client! I’ve been to many barbers throughout my life this barber shop delivered the best value by far. As someone new to the area, I tried a bunch of different barbershops to try and find my new go-to. Ive been coming here for about 6 months now and I can safely say that I found my go-to. I walked in to get a hair cut and they didnt hesitate to get me in the chair right away as one of their appointments had cancelled. The owner acutally cut my hair! She did a fantastic job (as she has cut my hair before!). Any of the barbers here will do a fantastic job!

Melody is great and an amazing barber. She listens to what you want and executes it flawlessly. The environment is nice and clean and they temperature check everyone that enters and masks are required for all patrons.

Ive been going to this barber when since the previous owner had the shop. Under the new owner, I had made a few appointments, some with Karina who has taken great care of me, providing me with a great haircut and beard trim. She was professional and gave me a cut just how I wanted it with little direction. I am going to continue to book appointments with her for certain.

I received a haircut today March 22 2021 at 4:30pm. I decided to get my hair cut at this barbershop because it was highly talked about on Nextdoor. I should’ve took my $35 elsewhere. I got cut by the straight razor all up my neck by the stylist . It is literally a Mohawk and all you had to do was cut the sides and rub alcohol on it afterwards. Now my neck is not only cut up but it’s infected.

Got a great haircut from Karina. Everyone was polite and was in-and-out in about 30 minutes even without an appointment. Definitely gonna head back for my next cut!

Very unprofessional and unwelcoming !!! My husband called before hand to see if they would take him last minute, they said absolutely just come on in we have time.Barber asked if he wanted his beard to and of course my husband said yes, yet the barber said “well I’m running behind”. So he just gave him a cut. You don’t treat paying customers like this.

I’ve been hopping around places near Smyrna for several months trying to find the right barbershop fit and this place is IT! Hands down best haircut I’ve received in a long time and it was my first time there. Paige did a fantastic job and was so detail-oriented and seemed to know exactly what I wanted. I was very impressed and left feeling great. I’ll definitely be coming back as long as she is there and will recommend others to go there. Great spot and great cut.

After checking out and bouncing around barbers in Smyrna for the last couple years, I found myself consistently coming back to Vinings Barber. The last two visits here have solidified that this is the only barber Ill be going to from now on. The place is clean, the service is on-time and professional, the price is fair, and the haircuts have always met or exceeded my expectations. 5* all the way.

I would not recommend anyone to go here the lady pushed my hairline back and had to ask the other barber who had a client in the chair on how to cut my type of hair after she already started cutting it and I asked here before I got in her chair can she give me a brush wave taper and she said yes I can and she didn’t succeed in that at all I am unhappy even doe she didn’t charge me the full price but I’m really up upset I paid a penny and don’t look like myself at all so don’t be the next test dummy like I was this was a huge lesson learned 😡

I took my 15 year old grandson there while visiting. He is autistic. Very particular and meticulous. They made Wyatt feel welcomed. He actually talked to them. Amanda explained to him how to style his hair. She told him about the products she used and how to use them. The staff was so nice. Excellent experience! I will be taking him again. His hair looked fabulous too!

Great place, really well done haircut, very nice and funny barber. I had Amanda, she was amazing. Only thing I wasnt comfortable with is that to tip you have to tell them how much you want to instead of just writing in. Definitely recommend!

My boyfriend struggled finding a barber shop he liked since moving to the area. He stumbled upon Vinings Barber and loved it. Great vibe, newly renovated, friendly staff that wore mask and the owner, Amanda, did a great job on his shave.

Booking was easy for a haircut and beard trim which was good. I’m visiting so relied on previous reviews which looked good. Beard trim was fairly good though I asked to not really take any length off and just tidy up the stray hairs and smarten up the sides. Ended up with a little bit more off the length than I was expecting but the cheeks were at least decent and faded into my sideburns. Then the haircut seemed ok in the shop though maybe not quite as high a fade on the sides as I’d have liked but still ok however I was not shown the back of my head after the cut and didn’t realise until I got home that instead of a gradual fade I basically had a hard line around the middle of the back of my head and a big tuft of hair still on the side that hadn’t been touched. I ended up having to fix it myself at home and did a better job myself. Also wasn’t offered a rinse or any products to put in my hair in the store before I left. Feel cheated out of giving a decent tip when I realised how unfinished it was when I got back home.Edit based on shop reply: I did not review the wrong place as they suggest. Amanda did my cut too.

Clean, didnt have to wait more than 5 minutes after my appointment and everyone seemed nice enough. I did get quality wise a good haircut, it lays nicely, but its not the style I repeatedly asked for. I even reminded my barber not to go too short on one side, reminding him, again, that I wanted an overhang/undercut style. In the end I got about an inch hanging off my head, sort of a business cut. Not what I wanted, at all, and its uneven in length. Good quality, but he didnt listen to me or follow the picture I showed him of my previous cut.

Ive been going to Vals since about the time she came to Atlanta. And, Ive never had anyone else cut my hair or give me a nice hot shave since. True professional and has a very cozy shop. There is also no mistaking her love of Wisconsin! I highly recommend the shave, the best in Atlanta. Haircut is top notch from any of her barbers. Keep up the great work, Val!

I stopped by Vals based on the proximity to my new residence. For $19, the haircut/hot shave/hot towel cant be beat.My only regret is that my fiance told me that customary tipping does not include the owner, so even though I felt inclined to give a tip (because Val was awesome, I dont tip for the heck of it) I left the shop feeling weird about not leaving a tip.Ill have to make good on my debt the next time I stop by!

Its simple if you want a 12 dollar hair cut go to great clips..if you want a real cut and some style go to Vals.

This place used to be great when Val owned it and when Vince cut here, but now its under new ownership and the current owners/barbers dont take their time assessing the customers hair, needs and best options. They just rush you in and out and do a lousy job cutting hair. Its been 6 weeks and Im still dealing with the terrible cut I received. Avoid this place.

Attitudes here with this people is pathetic. Poor customer service. I called to find out what time they closed and came in 45 mintues before they closed and has told they were done for the day. Ill be happy to never come back.

Theyre a little understaffed so it usually takes a while to get a cut. Appointment is recommended. But they do a good job. And its a great location.

Tried to get my 4+ year old a haircut this morning... have been here 2 other times before. Was told by Val in an awesomely rude tone that they only take kids 6+. I tried to explain I had been there (never had any issues, my kid just sits there), but she took a phone call and ignored me.Woud LOVE to support local businesses, but Val - you have to at least PRETEND to like people.

My experience after the move to West Village has been exceptionally poor. The shop is nice and clean as before but the attitude seems different and not in a good way. The first thing I noticed is that rates went up and they no longer take credit/debit cards. Based on the prior service level I could have been ok with the rate increase, but it seems the service level has dropped. As a walk in I was turned away and when I tried to make an appointment later in the day Val just walked off, not back to a customer just walked off. That is the owner of this business walking off from a customer attempting to give her money. That is 3 strikes with me, rate increase, decrease in service level, and walk ins shunned. I will take my business elsewhere.
