For gym lovers I recommend this gym here they have everything you can ask for
At Flips Gymnastics you pay for and get a 5 Stars organized physically active play date. Parents wait in a very clean, bright and fragrant area from where they can view their child(ren). My daughter went to this location and was disappointed with it very much. For starters the teenage coaches talked and payed no attention to the class during warm up stretching. In her class, Girls Rec, the students were obviously not interested in learning the sport as much as they were being unfocused and immaturely disruptive. The coach was aware of such behavior and did nothing to redirect the girls attention and interest in gymnastics. For the weeks she attended her group never did floor work. Its a two stars rating because of the lack of commitment from the coaches. Although she got her first experience with the bars and vault and learned some skills for the beam, it wasnt enough to keep her interest in continuing to attend Flips. She now attends another local gymnastics center and the coaches actually pay attention to the class and teach the how to of gymnastics. My daughter enjoys these lessons and I think the money is better spent. However, I will be on the lookout for idle coaching there as well.
My daughter has been coming here for many years. She progressed from open gym to pre-team to Team and is now one of the bronze level girls on team. The staff and coaches here have nothing but your childs best interest in mind and the kids are constantly being coached. The low star reviewer below admits her child learned things and was introduced to multiple apparatus. Sounds like a pretty fulfilling gym session for a new student thats being evaluated. Seems to me like the child was going to regular open gym sessions and this parent and child do not understand the progression of gymnastics and had an unrealistic expectation as to what their child would be able to do after a few classes. Your child will not go from basic matt tumbling to team level uneven bar and floor routines in a matter of a few classes. you are asking for your child to do things they cannot handle. This gym has been nothing but professional and caring toward the kids enrolled. None of the children are pressured by the coaches (except to do their best) the only pressure Ive seen in this gym have been from parents who expect their children to be Olympic level after their first mommy and me class, they usually dont stay in the sport thankfully. If you want to see how this gymnastics school operates ask for a tour and to sit in to watch the actual team girls. You will then see where your child will be after working hard over time.
The best and the teacher talk to much but they are will nice and they never yall
