I called because my not even 2 yr old ice maker stopped working. I felt like this was a shot in the dark because most repair people say oh just get a new icemaker because by the time you repair it you’re going to spend enough money to just buy a new one. Well they came out and took it apart, cleaned it and put it back together and my icemaker has never made this much ice ever before. I can barely open it and the ice spills out. And they did not charge me an arm and a leg! From now on whenever I have any appliance problem or ac I will be calling these people! ❤️

I contacted them after a Hurricane passed by us, it was on a weekend so I thought they would be swamped, and would charge me extra because it was the weekend.They were kind, they said because everyone is in need they would only charge me the regular fee no extra.They showed up in 30 minutes, figured out what was wrong with my washer, and told me they had to get the part. That it would be next day or two days to a week max.They got the part and fixed it in three days!Love them, professional and quick!!

After my A/C system died and I was left in a predicament relative to buying a new system (indoor and outdoor), I shopped several options in the Slidell area. I quickly found that Major Appliance was offering very competitive pricing. The more I spoke with Majors staff, the more I realized this company had not only the price point, but also the smarts, experience, and customer relationship consciousness I was looking for. The staff took a significant amount of time with me on the phone and in person to help my family find the right unit and to explain how to achieve our price point and A/C efficiency needs. If you choose this company, youll probably reach the same conclusion as I, that owner Abe Allen truly is honest Abe--a man who, almost to a fault, is genuine, responsive, and of course, honest. I would definitely recommend that before you seek out one of the bigger A/C companies in the area, you contact this local, family-owned business that cares about customer relationships and doesnt have to charge you the high prices that a bigger company with bigger overhead expenses would have to charge.

I can’t stress enough how wonderful Major Appliance is! My dryer was not producing heat and I thought it was the Element. Turns out it was the relay but In addition to fixing the problem, replacing the relay he showed me some things that needed to be addressed even swept all of the lint that had accumulated behind the dryer just very courteous honest and professional and I highly recommend them for anything and the pricing is extremely fair just wonderful Service thank you so much guys

Our 15 year old refrigerator stopped cooling, so ice was melting and running down the door onto the floor. The guys came the DAY we called them and within minutes, had the problem diagnosed to a busted thermostat & heater. The next DAY, they installed the thermostat; the following Monday (three days later, thanks to the weekend) the heater was installed. Fridge is as good as new.DEFINITELY will recommend these guys!

We must have tried 3 different repair companies before finding Major Appliance. Abe and Carla have been absolutely amazing. We have the hardest fridge to repair in the samsung smart hub. heck most companies wont even touch them. Abe and his crew never gave up. Had to come back multiple times as they diagnosed issues and not once tried to charge us until they located and fixed the problem. In a job we thought would cost us thousands they charged us way less and not because it was an easy fix. I would recommend Major Appliance AC & Heating over any other company in this area. And if you want honest good people coming to your home to help you Abe and Carla are the best!

Abe, Carla, and the entire crew have been the ABSOLUTE best company I have had the pleasure of working with, and I have worked with MANY! They were the most professional and knowledgeable. They actually care about the work they are doing, instead of rushing through to patch it up and move on. I am so impressed with this company and will recommend them 10/10.

This place is ran by a husband and wife and they are BOTH CON ARTISTS. They completely ripped my family and I off and never repaired our washer after we dished out several hundred dollars of our hard earned money. I thought we could trust them based on reviews here..EPIC FAIL! They were overcharging us for parts, lying as if they were having them expedited with an additional fee...all a lie. The owner initially came out, stating what supposedly needed repair, we ordered parts to have the issue fixed, then he sent another guy out to repair the part...but his repair guy...aka partner in crime, broke another part, which we had to pay for. Not to mention, they broke an additional hose purposely and added black tape to it, claiming it was there when they arrived. BS! The washer was barely 2 years old and had NEVER been touched or worked on prior to them. We went ahead and still paid the cost of something they did multiple times because we needed our washer in an effort to avoid getting covid at a public washerette..needless to say the initial issue was never fixed or any other issue.. Subsequently, they came out on several different occasions, each time stating something else was wrong, until we almost paid the price of what we couldve used on a brand new washer. They are liars, very unprofessional, and they prey on people, even during a pandemic. BEWARE!UPDATE: NOW THEYRE STILL LYING IN THEIR RESPONSE TO PROTECT THEIR BUSINESS IMAGE. TRULY SAD. YOU ORIGINALLY SAID YOU, CARLA, AND YOUR HUSBAND ABE WERE THE OWNERS...THAT CAME DIRECTLY FROM YOU. On Sunday, July 12, my AC wasnt working . The temperature reached 90 degrees in my house. I called three companies after hours phone lines and couldnt get anyone. Then I called Major Appliance AC & Heating. Abe was here in less than 20 minutes, accessed the situation and fixed the problem. Just like that! Great customer service. Im grateful for his help.

Hard start on our AC unit exploded on Monday (5/18) around noon; Tony and Abe with Major AC had us diagnosed and ready to proceed late Monday afternoon; its 2:00pm on Tuesday (5/19) and we have cold air blowing from our new unit, with all signs pointing in the right direction. Nobody ever wants to replace an AC unit, but the folks at Major Appliance made the process quick, easy, and hassle-free given the circumstances. Thank you!

Wow! I got home around 7pm and it was 81 degrees in my house..air not working ..I called Major Appliance AC & Heating after everyone else said they were closed for the evening ... Major Appliance sent Abe over...he had my air condition up and running in less then an hour...extremely professional and Knowledgeable and the price was way less then I expected 😅 I know who to call from now on no doubt about it!

Very disappointed with this company. Had 2 parts go out on a 2 l/2 yr old a/c. They came diagnosed and said parts were covered 100% but labor only would be $2400. Sounded high but assumed an all day job. They came and were only here for 2 hours and 20 minutes. Verified by our ring videos. When we questioned the charge for labor for 2 hours and 20 minutes, they said they would send an explanation of the charge. They sent a slew of charges to make up the $2530.00 they charged us. including 6.5 hours of labor. $150.00 an hour. No clue how they came to that either. Ridiculous and after too many calls back and forth could not get them to give us a discount. Beware !!! The detailed proposal they gave us was one line $2400 labor. Period After asking them to explain the charges they came out with an entire list of charges to make up the 2530 I myself was told by the technician it was for labor period. And when Carla finally offered to refund 300.00 we called numerous times and she said she was taking care of it. She never did. It is an outright lie that we did not accept the refund. My husband called her numerous times over several weeks and she would say she was giving us the refund and she never did. Dishonest company period. I have lived in this town for over 50 years and stand by my words.

The technician came out the same day, was honest and friendly and told us it would cost more to repair than to buy a new one. He didnt fix it and take our money. I love his honesty. Great people, will call them back next time we need a repair.

We called at 3:15 today as our oven wasnt working. The receptionist contacted the owner and two repairmen came to our house within the hour and replaced the part. Both men were friendly and did an excellent job. Highly recommend this company.

Our refrigerator stopped cooling so we called Major Appliance for service. We had used them previously for dishwasher and microwave issues and they were very good. Later that day, Abe, the owner, arrived with a technician and determined that we had a freon issue that could not be permanently repaired. He did get the refrigerator working but told us it was only a temporary fix and that we should look for a new one. I’ll call Major Appliance for any other appliance or heating-a/c problems we may encounter.

The owner himself came out to my house after hour to diagnose my dryer after hours with no extra charge. Waiting on the part to come in so the job can finish. I will let you know how it turns out. My first impression is outstanding for him and his company.👍👍

I noticed my A/C was not working properly at 1430, called and was told someone would be out in 2 hours, at 1520 Abe and Russell showed up and proceeded to get to work. Its now 1624 and I am COOL once again, Abe checked my entire system to make sure we would not have any other problems. Major Appliance AC and Heating are now MY a/c guys for sure. Cant say enough good things about these guys. My dryer quit one evening and they came out the very next day. Then they rushed the parts order so it would be fixed the following day and did not charge me the rush shipping fee. They also fixed the little issue my washer was having at the same time! Its refreshing to find good, old fashioned customer service these days!

After shopping for parts to repair a microwave oven, I received a call from the receptionist at Major Appliance stating they would diagnose the problem for me for a mere $45. I dropped it off and received a call from the receptionist the next day stating the transformer and magnetron were defective and no longer available? I told her I had already been quoted prices for each part. She said she would have the technician call me back. Instead, minutes later she called to inform me the technician was putting my microwave on their front porch and would not be charging me the $45 fee. I picked up the microwave and replaced the magnetron for $80 myself. The transformer was not defective per their diagnosis. Microwave works fine now.
