I have been coming as a guest with a member and I have been very impressed with this Life Time gym! Ive always encountered friendly staff, clean locker rooms, and I love the pool! I plan to become a member myself now!

My dad was a member since the club opened .This last year he has had some serious health problems. We jumped throughput hoops trying to put his membership on freeze and were able to finally have it held for 3 months since then they started charging the card again. With several additional calls we finally went in and cancled the membership but because we were past the 1st of the month by 2 days the card was charged again. This is a shame after years of membership.

Really like the facility. Feels a little smaller than the Vernon Hills location, but its pretty similar. Love that this location is also Onyx tier. Staff are also friendly and helpful. Ricky has also been a great PT to work with. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice facility with various ammeneties. Definitely a great place and loving how things are starting to open back up. Hopefully they go back to the 24 hour open schedule instead of closing at 10 PM.

Member since 2002 as a kid.Pros: Top of the line gym equipment, clean, friendly staff, short commute, spacious indoor/outdoor pool.Cons: Membership price (continually increasing), limited business hours, busy (depending time of day),If you dont mind the hefty premium of 130$/month and go to the gym 4/5x a week. Its worth for me. The short commute, and almost rarely having to wait for equipment and clean appearance has me staying for now. I have left once in the past for my local gym which didnt cut it for me because the limited equipment and hours of operation and amenities. I wish with the hefty premium we as a members would get a free 30 min massage monthly. If you wanna get in and out for your gym sessions and dont care for things mentioned in pros, then you can definitely go cheaper with xSports or LA fitness.

I have been a member at this lifetime for some years now and never thought as much as to write a review. My family and I enjoyed coming here as there is something for all of us to enjoy.... but the staff has been very disappointing as of late. I would call the majority of them, not up to lifetime standards. The food court has never been this terrible. I dont expect free food with my membership but I do expect they have ingredients in stock for me to purchase. Current management is lacking. This location has me feeling robbed of a true lifetime experience. We have preferred this location b/c of the basketball courts for my sons, but If things do not change, I dont see my family staying here for long.

Cleanliness precautions taken during COVID have been superb. The staff is always professional and resolve any issues instantly. My child loves the kids club and the swim lessons! By far the best gym!

Good luck swimming here. They rented out a pool to some team. I pay good money and in last 2 months was able to swim ONCE in lap pool, rest has been in baby pool. Not fair to paying members. Its really pathetic to book up the pool at prime hours. If you wanna rent it, do it at hours where paying members are not inconvenienced by this. Gonna try few more times but most likely will go elsewhere. Thanks but no thanks.

Incredible customer service-had to make changes to my membership and the gentleman was so patient getting it resolved for me and my family.

I was a real fan of Lifetime Fitness and have an “All Access” membership based at the Old Orchard location since 2009.However, although they repeatedly told me my All Access membership would allow me to frequent the Northbrook location, when Northbrook opened, they reneged upon its actual opening, saying “we admit we told you that you would have access but have arbitrarily changed our minds after the fact in violation of your membership type!” WTH?? Who does that? If that’s not bad enough, they are holding to their pandemic limiting hours even though IL is in phase 5 of reopening. They charge more and yet have gone from 24/7 access pre-pandemic to closing at NINE PM on weekends, even though IL is fully open now!!!! And today, I was told to leave my cardio machine by an employee before the HGTV show I was watching that ends at 9 was even over! Charge less or provide the promised service LTF!! Oh —that’s right, Lifetime blatantly doesn’t keep it’s promises!

Great gym In terms of equipment and service. Only thing I dislike is how expensive it is without being 24h.

I love Life Time. Been a member for two years now. However because of covid I have to start using the old Orchard location instead of the one I signed up for and I do not enjoy my experience here. The location is smaller in size compared to the Vernon Hill club But more traffic which makes it feel even more crowded and nobody practiced social distancing. There are kids who work out in a group Where one person does the workout and a group huddle around and chat. Just annoying and also potentially spreading covid...also, the swimming pool is constantly in use by swimming teams and only from 9-10pm is it open on a weeknight which is not enough time for someone with a job to workout, given that the gym is closed at 10pm.

Didn’t fill welcome a man with a blue lives matter face mask was scary looking I felt he was trying to intimidate me and I was lied to about childcare called a liar to my face when I tried to use the service by the childcare manager. The younger staff were exceptional but the manger sucks big time .

This gym is not friendly to families with kids. Kids at pool are yelled at at all times and families are threatened with police. Manager dint care about this concern. Young staff at the pool are just incompetent and not wearing masks next to elderly people. Not worth the money.....

Are they going back to 24/7 any time soon?Is my only concernApart from that decent gym

My favorite Health Club in the USA. Great outdoor & indoor pool. Love the variety of group classes and the weight selections. How about 24hour gym, what can I ask for more. Love the lifecafe for all my favorite meals and lifesaloon to get my hair colored. I cant thank enough the sales manager Andy for taking good care of me and my family all the time

Clean, good equipment. A bit expensive, but better than a cheap club. Workers in the cafe are better than any Starbucks around!

They didn’t send any notification or email about outdoor pool being closed until next day. It is July and many people drove to the gym after work only because of the pool. Very unprofessional.

Lifetime is worth every penny. The gym is super clean. They wipe down the equipment constantly. The facilities are top notch. They have a great COVID protocol in place that include temperature checks upon entry.The equipment is always clean. The only complaint I have is that members dont re-rack their weights. Its not worth taking a star off. Its just a personal pet peeve of mine. Nonetheless, the facilities are bar none.

Its definitely need remodeling and new equipment, compare to other Life time club this the worst i been to. They still closing the Sauna and the hot tub.

I signed up for Life Time Old Orchard before the facility was even finished. Ive been going almost every day since then and still love sitting in the hot tub whether I worked out or not. Over the years I have run a half marathon on a treadmill to celebrate my 40th Birthday, I have gone to countless yoga classes and bulked up on the free weights. I like that I have options to do anything I want when I feel like it. Highly recommend Life Time for an individual or family to enjoy together. Good stuff.

Love this place. Very neat and clean gym area,price for gym is affordable. there is free indoor track to run. gym is open early morning which I love and enjoy.

It’s bogus how they open the pool and then they rent half the pool to others and members can’t use it.Then the Jacuzzi opened and then it’s broken and you can’t use it. Then all you hearin the pool is this couch that keeps yelling at kids which plays loud music

Very bad customer service - spoke w/Roxanne who sounded very bothered by questions for a possible membership - she was not attentive and new very little about the companys website - I would steer clear of this club, based on previous recent reviews as well - not a good impression - Schaumburg club not that far & MUCH better customer service!

Worth every penny if they still offered everything they used to. I understand it’s due Covid & safety but at the very least they could offer longer hours. Not worth it anymore.

Good place to spend time with whole family.Nice and clean.

Masks required to get in the door, but almost no one wearing masks in the workout areas. Very few people willing down equipment after use. Social distancing is marked out but not really practiced. Pools are open but the hot tubs, sauna and steam room are closed until phase 5. Its possible to workout safely, but you have to watch out for yourself.

Good solid upscale gym! I can do all my Olympic lifts here which is appreciate, and nearly any piece of equipment that you might want to use is available or available upon request. Lots of options which are good for those with young children as well. The cafe is a bit pricey but has some decent stuff, and theres a spa which Ive never tried but my wife says is greatMy main complaint would be the price. There are gyms that are about half the price at which I could do all the things I would like to do, but the fact that they have multiple locations at different places around the city and its suburbs has really been helpful when Im visiting my folks or friends or at home so that I dont need to miss a workout.Some of the facilities are aging in some of the clubs, but the majority are well maintained. I do wish they had more specialty trainers though, in particular for competitive sports purposes.Most classes are free which is terrific though and probably justifies some of the extra cost. My wife loves them. Pilates is the exception.

I have only been to a Lifetime fitness location a few times in my life. But this location at Old Orchard tops the cake!I cannot believe how great ALL of the staff were to my staff at Jacobson & Tsou Orthodontics from the Chicago office last weekend. Our bosses treated us to a spa day. In which Lifetime offered us the day to use as a membership pass. We not only had an excellent spa treatment, but we also were able to use their basketball courts, workout area, sauna, pool, etc. We were even given complimentary treats after our Spa treatment.The manager from the Spa, Tayag Nikko, was very polite and accommodating for our needs. He went above and beyond what I expected as a non member for this health club.I truly appreciate every staff member at this location and would like to return someday as a member with my staff, family and friends.Thank you again for a memorable experience that will go in the books forever!

Lifetime is an excellent family friendly place to work out. The sauna and steam rooms are great assets as well for relaxation. The basketball courts are accommodating with plenty of basketballs. I worked with Miko my trainer who was great in instructing me in proper and safe technique in lifting, and my strength has since improved noticeably. Overall my experience was very positive.

I had to come to this location to handle an issue and one of the assistant manager named Jonathan promised the first time that I came he will take care of it...Of course he didn’t, I had to comeback the next day make sure he is doing it, he was avoiding me.What surprised me the most was the rudeness and unprofessionalism while waiting for him and seeing him talking with a client of the gym even though he was paged a bunch of times that I am here waiting for an answer to my issue, not even to approach me and give me an answer .Having manners says a lot about how good someone is doing their job.

Woman comes out of the gym where they have kids camp and starts taking pictures of me and my cousins in are car and starts asking if we’re ok was rly creepy love the establishment though!

This gym costs $50/month more than Schaumburg lifetime. Im NO fan of schaumburg but the schaumburg location is better. Much better.

Went there as a guest and had a great time. All the facilities are top notch with some even being new or refreshed recently. The faculty and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Everything is clean and everyone who belongs are very welcoming aswell.

Definitely one of the greatest and cleanest gyms Ive been to especially during this time of the pandemic there practice of social distancing, as well taking temperatures entering in the building, and enforcing every wears there masks, really shows the care they have for everyones health and safety, which is really important round these times, definitely a great gym filled with great people...

Love this place! Amenities make it feel like a resort. Great pleace to workout, relax and feel pampered.

Need a mask to enter but it’s not enforced once you’re in. While it’s not their fault completely they could better enforce the rule better.

I have been with Lifetime Fitness for about 3 years. Had my membership signed up at Old Orchard, but spent most of my time at the Vernon Hills location as it is closer to work. However, I live a minute away from the Old Orchard location. Every time I attempted to work out here, it has been absolutely terrible. These are my reasons.- They recently remodeled the gym floor to make space for the group fitness etc. Moving all of the weighted machines so close to each other that I find myself literally hugging the person next to me.- Most of the weighted machines are older -- for the premium rate you pay for a membership here, this is embarrassing.- I find myself constantly trying to navigate between machines - the layouts are very mickey mouse - nothing make sense. Appears to just drop machines wherever theres space for it. Again, for a premium rate you pay, youd expect some kind of uniformity/consistency/flow.- This might not only pertains to this location, but why doesnt Lifetime Fitness regulate the machines in every location to be consistent and current. A few of the weighted machines available in other locations arent present here -- maybe theres no demands for them -- its so bogus.

I love this gym. Everything is top of the line, a good variety of classes, friendly staff and clean facilities. The kids academy is awesome. Although, I do with the infant room was consistent with the rest of the academy hours wise. My biggest complaint would be the outdoor pool area. Because towels are provided, families decide to reserve more chairs than needed. Personally, I just don’t see a reason for every small child to have their own chair reserved when they are playing in the pool the entire time. It makes it hard for people to find anywhere to sit. It’s annoying to see almost all of the chairs without people on them the entire time while I’m looking for somewhere to actually sit and relax/tan.

Great place to work out and increase your fitness level in friendly atmosphere with great trainers that are knowledgeable and will even point out mistakes you are making or answer your questions if you do not train with them. I recommend this facility, it is very accessible you can grab a cup of coffee here, there are basketball facility, classes and great weight training equipment. Well worth the monthly fee. The facility is clean and the management is friendly. Go no where else, this place has it all if your goal is fitness.

The facility is nice but as a corporation they don’t care about customer loyalty or Senior fixed income customers that could be a larger neededCustomer Segment.Especially with a large number of Baby BoomersBeginning to retire!I find them insulting to the community that established the foundation of their profit!!!I wouldn’t recommend supporting andEncouraging a corporation that doesn’t care about the loyalty of the community and ignoring a big segment of society!!!!

Lifetime fitness is a great family place. The people there are so nice and friendly. They make e enjoy being apart of the club. The employees are so friendly. Every time I walk in I am greeted with a smile and an how am i doing. The classes are a lot of fun. The rock climbing wall is a lot of fun. I like how they change the course at the wall so it challenges me differently every time i climb the wall.

This place is amazing. Just avoid the outside pool on the weekends.

Customer service is terrible

The location is ok once you start, then you will be noticing dirt and mess here and there, lack of towels etc. Rooms are full during classes, so you’ll be smelling all the sweat. Swimming pool is far from what you’d call clean. Moreover, they closed the location due to COVID and still charged me for a month even though I cancelled my membership since I was supposed to cancel it a month in advance. Really?! How was I supposed doing it if everything was closed?

Very nice. Everything is simple and neat. The childcare center is excellent and so are their programs. The only thing I dont like is the cafe, but you can bring food from other places. The pool is very nice and it is heated.

Childcare center is excellent! Care givers are caring and competent and many have been there a long time, which says a lot. Environment is safe, clean and updated with variety of activities and classes for the kids to do. I appreciate being able to leave my baby and toddler in a safe, enriching and caring environment. Kudos to this team!

THE BEST! So much more than a gym. Instructors are amazing and helpful. Entire facility is very clean. Friendly and fun Kids Academy staff. Excellent spa services. Café has an great healthy menu and helpful staff. (Highly recommend the banana granola smoothie!) :)

I have been a member for about 8 years now I dont really use it as much though but i like the fact that Lifetime fitness is open 24/7 which is very convenient for someone like me. When I get a chance to go there it s usually late and there are very few people and I like it that way so I get to use the hot tub by myself. Overall clean place to work out and it s worth the money even if I dont go there as often I would like to.

I signed up for Life Time Old Orchard in summer this year. There is really nice staff there, clean, and I really like going there. But the account manager Michael doesn’t respond for my emails and he is not nice to me I have no idea why. I called and I got some information about my account finally which I needed.

Always clean staff is friendly just a lot of other people using the machines dont wipe them down when their done using them

This gym went down hill recently, and is not worth a higher price tag when the majority of amenities are closed.

I AM PICKY- (USED TO BE AT EAST BANK CLUB) AND I LOVE IT! I GO EVERY DAY. THERE IS ALWAYS A MACHINE OPEN NO MATTER THE TIME OF DAY, THE STAFF IS FABULOUS, I FEEL SO AT HOME AND IT IS CLEAN AND I HAVE HIGH STANDARDS. BOTH OF MY KIDS LOVE THE KID CENTER AND THE STAFF THERE. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM AND I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER FOR 15 YEARS.

I usually dont write reviews but this place deserves one. First time at an Onyx club I am not impressed the bathrooms are dirty. The staff just sit around and talk and milk the clock. The night staff just clean the floor half right and never wipe machines down. Every lifetime I have been too, never change the filters on the h20 fountains plus the water is warm. Cant wait till a different company takes them out of business.

Worse staff Horrible customer service. They speak very rudely and the managers never pick up a phone call and never call back cant imagine I had the worse customer for the most expensive gym Ive ever paid for.....

No manager are available!!!The kids ppart is ridicule no real activities for kids under 3 years old they list walk around and cries !

Be aware of their bad business practice! They talked me into sign on an one-to-one training program, but did not inform me of the price at all, the paper shows no price information. then charged my credit card $1272. When I went to get the signed paper, they filled in the charge, and insist that it WAS there when I signed! NO WAY! This guy is a big lier!!!If you experience similar problem, please leave a comment. I dont believe I am the only victim. I am disputing through my credit card company now.The atmosphere there is good, all services are friendly. I felt like they are trustworthy. Big mistake!!!

Have been going to LT for over 10 years. Staff if always very friendly and accommodating. Im thankful for a fantastic yoga room unlike many other LT clubs with a studio feel and Larissa running a great program.

I’ve been a member for more than 8 years and just left because when kids were young it was great however, when your wanting me time at even past 9pm they only have few staff working and kids will be at poolside and getting really loud which shouldn’t happen so often no one available to control the situation. I’ve given enough money for not to happen.

I have been a member of many gyms over the years, this is the best! The kids Academy is wonderful and I feel good about leaving my toddler there while I workout. The pool is great in the summer.
