This was our first time using AAA Car Care as we are members of AAA Club.Before this we were going to a GM dealership.We were extremely impressed with both the friendly staff, the techs,and the cleanliness of the place. I had a terrible experience at this place. The told me one price to get the insurance. Once I got there they change is that price. I pay for the policy in full. A months after they sent me a new policy with a higher price. Accordingly to them because I didnt sign up for app that I never agreed to sign up for. I would say be very careful when getting a policy at Skokie location.

I came in and needed assistance to replace my tire and wheel. Luis was immediately assisting me with the process, and he not only helped me with efficiency, but with the upmost professionalism. My quote that I received from the dealership was extremely high, and Luis gave me a quote AND fixed my wheel of the tire at 1/3 of the cost. I am so grateful for his help, and will recommend anyone who is in need of immediate assistance. I do not have AAA as my insurance, but they helped me with so much kindness. I called the place to see if they could do an oil change before I made a visit and was told they could squeeze me in. When I arrived at the place, they told me something totally different from what they said earlier on the phone, they could schedule me for two days later. They didnt even apologize for what they said. Do not trust what they say!

Honesty. The mechanics here have always been honest with me. They recognize that Im on a limited budget and help me plan maintenance for my cars accordingly. The people at the front (especially Jesse) are polite, professional, and understanding. The work they do is done with fidelity. I fully recommend this mechanic.

Great place, nice people, facility clean and pleasant. Call in the morning and got an apt in the afternoon. Went in for an alignment but expected I may need new tires. Tommy the svc advisor was honest and professional he kept me informed throughout the process, I did need new tires and an alignment and both services were performed in under 2 hours. Andy the technician was also very helpful, he came out and talked to me about potentially a future repair item, not pushy just very informative. I will be going back for future service

I was on a shopping trip 3 hours from home when my car broke down and was towed to the Skokie location. Tommy Sheib and his team were able to diagnose and fix the problem in less than an hour. I am forever grateful for the courteous, prompt and professional service I received on my unexpected trip to AAA Skokie Car Care Plus.

Brought my car for brake pads replacement (because dealer and another grage mentioned it past two years and finally decided after joining to AAA), and they said it left half and no need to change. But they recommended flushing requids. It has done 2 years ago and only drove 5000 miles since then. It wasted $250 after foud out I didnt needed and I really needed the brake pads. I brogut another place for my brake pads replacement.

I went to have a car inspected and the guys were really nice and informative.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!As a single woman with car issues they prayed upon me, ripped me off then threatened me to convince me to get further repairs.Please head my warning. Where it seems like a great “AAA” place to have your car towed I was just ripped off for $776.95 for a part that cost $70.They then found another issue that they tried to take me for another $851.78 for. I got that fixed at another shop for $50. They claimed if I didn’t get it fixed my safety was at risk and the car may spew toxic gas.I really just want to help other women in my situation, feeling helpless that my car didn’t work. Please Please whatever you do, DO NOT get your car towed here and at the VERY LEAST do not get your car repaired here. Let my huge credit card bill durning a pandemic please persuade you. Thanks AAA care car, I hope you had a great laugh at my expense (they smirked as I picked up the car, I didn’t know why at the time) as I eat ramen for the next three months.

I wont take my car anywhere else. Honest, reliable, and consistent. I have been to this location on numerous occasions and have always been welcomed with great, friendly service. They diagnose the issue and promptly repair it. I would recommend this location to anyone. Great job guys

I have been to a few AAA locations. Skokie is by far my favorite. So much so that I will go out of my way to get all our cars serviced here. Every single person I have encountered at this location is amazing! Super helpful, extremely nice, and sincere. I really cant say enough good things about the people at this location and the pride they have in their jobs. From the car care center (my most frequented) to the front desk to the travel agents. I first called and spoke to Tommy. He was very professional on the phone and told me to bring my car right in and they would take a look at it. Turns out my brand new tires that were installed elsewhere, were not installed properly. Tommy took the time to explain the issue and even fixed it for free, despite spending time and effort addressing my loose tires. I cannot say enough positive things about how Tommy and AAA took care of my family. As a single Mom, money is extremely tight and the fact that Tommy went out of his way to treat me with such great Customer Service does not go unnoticed. Ive been coming to this AAA since they opened up at this great location. The employees always made me feel welcome to be there.I stopped in for an Oil Change yesterday. The Service Advisor (Jesse), took my information and promptly got me in. The Technician (Chris) took no time in getting the job done and pointed out that I had a nail in my tire which he also took care of. I was in and out in no time! The place is neat and clean-a nice place wait for your Car, (they offer complimentary Coffee while you wait). Also, Jewel, Marshalls, Old Navy just steps away if you want to shop while waiting for your Vehicle to be completed! Were lucky to have them in our Location!Great job guys!

Ive been to this shop on multiple occasions to service both of our cars, and Ive had consistently reliable results. Staff has been courteous and straightforward and has provided me honest recommendations on some repairs I needed to get taken care of right away, and some other items that I could live with. I went to this location for the international drivers permit application. The fee is $20 and it was fast and easy to apply and receive on the spot. They do not accept checks.

I am so glad that I purchased a membership with AAA. My car needed a jump start again, and since I purchased the battery last month, I decided to take my car to the center to check the battery. They replaced it right away, and I was back on te road in just minutes. The staff was very friendly and polite. I love AAA.

I will highly recommend not to go to AAA Skokie, they are greedy, opportunist and not technically sound.The actual Incident was, I have 2011 Honda CRV and the car stops in the middle of the road with blinking signal “D” on the desk board, I found from the internet is a Transmission issue, AAA towed my car to AAA Skokie facility and they quote me $3800 for repair, one of my friend G&G automotive Skokie suggest me to get an opinion from the Value Transmission and I talked to Rick, Initially I feel this man is not talking professionally but don’t go by his nature, he is a very good hearted and helpful person, finally I towered this car to Value Transmission with my expense because AAA denied to tow again for same incident, even thought they were asking numerous money for small breakdown!I decided to move to Value transmission and they explain me how do they will fix this car Step by step, there wasn’t a really transmission issue, it was only the transmission fluid leaked over the time and completely dried out and after adding fluid this car is running like as intended.I will highly recommend Value transmission, they are in this business for more than 30 years, they are honest, technically sound and helpful. I was about to spend $3800 if I did not get the second opinion from Value Transmission, they save my couple of thousand dollars. And not only that but he suggested few preventive tips for vehicle, I am so much grateful about them

I went here because it was close and o happened to be a member. I have received a couple of oil changes and brought in in for service once. They seem very honest. As I brought it in for service because I thought there might be an issue. They took the time to do a thorough inspection but found nothing and sent me on my way without a charge. Its that type of service that will have me coming back when I do need work.

Excellent car service location, the service advisors are not pushy and do a great job explaining the issue for you to decide on whether you want to address the problem. Pricing is very competitive, definitely cheaper than going to a dealer. Does not require an appointment, majority of your car service need can be taken care here. I have been a AAA member for a while, until I walked into the car care plus I never considered their Auto & Hoke policy. Glad I did Vincent one of the agents at this location hooked me up with home and auto policy which saved me money and kept the same coverage as Allstate. They also offer life insurance and travel services.

Good, consistently reliable place to get your car maintenance and repair done, we have AAA insurance which we never considered until this place opened up. Additionally while you are getting your car repaired give the agents a try who can quote you on home, auto and life insurance. Good agents, and overall great slew of products available from them.

Went there for an international driving permit. Site says they will take passport photos for you but when I arrived there was a sign that said their camera was broken. Its 2019, I dont understand how they are having trouble acquiring a new digital camera *immediately*. Almost disrupted my travel plans as I had a tight time window.

I went to the location for oil changes due to its location to my job and the prices offered to AAA members. However I am very disappointed in the service of the auto team over the past few visits. 2 times previously I came for an oil change and the service techs would attempt to sell me on work that did not need to be done on my car. Each time before the oil change, my car had scheduled maintenance inspections from the dealership just for the AAA to give me a list of unverifiable work they suggested my car need; even suggesting that my spark plugs needed to be changed when it was just done recently. I paid for a winter maintenance package and they did not change the air filter (included in the package) because they felt it wasnt needed. I left and ended up changing it myself with a friend. The most recent was the last straw as I brought it in to replace my EGR as I decided to give them a last chance since they were around the corner from my job. I was informed by the service tech that they would not perform the service unless I paid for an $160 diagnostic to verify it needed to be replaced and was completely non-commitable about a quote unless I got this diagnostic done. Mind you, my dealership and multiple other service centers perform a diagnostic for free. I left and got the service perform by another shop. I will not be returning to the Skokie location as their techs are not focused on taking care of their customers; just running up a bill for their assumed commission.

I had some issues with my car and of course this is one of the coldest day in a long time. I didnt have long to wait and the service center was very patient with me. I would recommend going to them when you have a car problem, they know what their doing.

Went In with a problem. They said they test drove my car to identify the problems. They showed me what they thought to be the problem. But immediately after paying 500.00 bucks I drove off the lot with my car making the same noise. I bring it back the next day this time i go with them on the test drive and now they say they didnt hear this noise yesterday. Even though this Is the noise Ive been hearing for weeks now. So now they look at it again and see the problem. Something if your a mechanic you would have seen on the first check but now I have to get another problem fixed on my car and this is something they dont really do. So Im out of 500.00 bucks and my car still doesnt work

The last two places I have neem to get service on my car have tried to cheat me. I tend to play dumb about my car to see if the place is going to be fair or not. AAA Skokie went out of their way to trear me fair and make sure everything was handled correctly.

They got my car fixed, but even with AAA, it was on the order of about twice what it would have cost elsewhere.On July 3rd, my car got stuck in Park in a restaurant parking lot. I called AAA, and they did get a tow truck out, but they dispatched it from the south side of Chicago and it ended up taking the driver over 2.5 hours to get out to me. Oh well. The driver (from a Road Runner towing company), was friendly enough and dropped my car off at AAA Car Care Plus in Skokie, which is where the lady on the AAA number suggested that I take it. I spoke to my usual mechanic over the phone and said I thought it to be the brake interlock switch. He said he could do it for about $100, but of course these things never happen during convenient hours and there was no way to get the car to him during normal business hours. The woman at AAA assured me that AAA Car Care Plus was owned by AAA, and that theyd take good care of me, and she said that they were open on the 4th of July.So I toss my key into the night box and it turns out that they are not open on the 4th, so Im without my car until the 5th. I wrote on the drop box envelope what was wrong with the car and called them the morning of the 5th to make sure that they knew that. I was informed that it was the switch and that they would be charging me $235 to fix it. I said, Hey, my usual mechanic said its not that big of an issue and its like a $100 job.. The guy at the AAA Car Care Plus says, Well, its up to you. What do you want to do with it?. Well, it was going to be too much of a pain to have it towed again, so I went ahead and paid them. Turns out that $90 of that was for a diagnostic on top of $90 in labor for 0.9 hours, meaning that they charge $100 an hour, and $45 and some change for a part thats $30 at Auto Zone.My advice? Dont go here unless you dont have a choice. The cherry on top was when they said my air filter was dirty and that I needed a new one for $18. Literally _anyone_ can change an air filter in 3 minutes with no tools, and a CA5056 air filter at Walmart is $5.84. So I picked one up at Walmart on the way home. To be fair, when I pulled the old one, it was pretty gross, so they werent lying (which some places do to make extra money), but $18 for an air filter after you were already essentially double charged for a repair was a bridge too far.I do not think that I will be coming back, and I was expecting more from AAA.

I went in with my car literally broke down up the street. Left in 15 minutes with AAA tow service on its way and when I came back to fix an error on my account the issue was dealt with fast and easy.
