Ive had some very quick experiences like my last two times in and out who doesnt like that and Ive had some nightmarish incidence where it took forever like 45 minutes to over 60 minutes which to me is worse than the service you used to get at Kmart what they had 15 to 20 check out but only three of them open add Target to that list as well. I still will never understand that oh wait Kmarts not around anymore are they. The only reason Target is its because thats Ellen DeGeneres and her rich friends in the wannabe riches here in town thats their Walmart.

Everytime I go down they have been very friendly and helpful. Today the Customer Service Rep helped me save $1.00 in shipping with a helpful tip. The wait time was minimal. The lobby is always clean and comfortable.

I have usps informed delivery so I know that a letter from the IRS was supposed to arrive Thursday. Its still hasnt arrived. Cant reach anyone at local post office because all the voicemail boxes are of course full and cant take new messages. The automated system in the 800 number just gives the runaround. You can blame this on covid all you want but the fact is youre just straight up lazy and horrible at your professions. If an improtant letter from the IRS says it was scanned here in Sioux city, then it should be in Sioux city and in my actual mailbox!

I’m very upset I go to the post office to ask them if they would tell the mail carrier to close the gate when he’s done and this is what we get in the mail a letter saying the stairs are broken which they are not. That the gate is broke which it is but u are still able to open and close the gate just fine and my dog would not be able to get out it is physically impossible and we have a small dog sooooo how can u be afaid of a small friendly dog but now they are holding my mail thanks so flipping much 😤 not like I don’t have enough problems going on and now this thanks for making my life easier

The staff at USPS has been incredible to work with! Ive been in a number of times between sending save the dates, wedding invitations, and my fiance applying for a passport; every staff member we have worked with has been friendly, patient, and has offered us great customer service. Cant say better things about them!

My mail has stopped showing up so I tried to call my local office for some info, but of course they dont have a number, so I sat on hold for an hour trying to make a machine let me speak to someone. No other business in the country is this hard to contact. Not to mention numerous missing and broken packages.

Went to get my passport. Lady looked at all my paperwork, my old passport, my new picture, and all my documentation. Proceeded to hand me a slip of paper that says I must make an appointment for passport services. I ask if I can go online on my phone and make an appointment real quick. She says no, they “don’t have passport services on Saturdays”. Crickets are chirping in the store as it is currently only occupied by me, my boyfriend, and two post office workers who are so charmingly twiddling their thumbs.

The mail hold system is a joke!!! Had my mail held until Thursday. Returned early from vacation on Wednesday to find my mailbox full of mail!! Post Office refuses to return my calls!! This is the third time in a row theyve mis-delivered the mail on a hold!! We need to find a way to eliminate the postal service. We would ALL be better off!!!!!!!! Wish I could give ZERO stars!!!!

I feel sioux city local post office need to do better with handling people mail, look carefully at the mailing address and learn to put more time and effort on not misplacing people mail. if there a error on the address common sense is to put the error mail on supervisor desk.

Package delivered last week to completely wrong address!!!! Same last name was the only thing in common. Whats the point of an address if it is not used correctly.??? Wouldve never received this package except we knew each other. Package delivered today....again to the WRONG address. No idea where. Ridiculously horrible. How can they get away with that. Today Friday October 30,2020 the mail carrier charged my friend a handicapped person 15 cents extra for an advertisement a rent a center from Omaha sent using a 2019 forever stamp thats pathetic considering how some people regard it as the richest country in the world I guess stealing and lying is the new norm in this country

Had ordered shoes for a wedding online. After a week of being shipped with FedEx they were transferred to the Sioux City Post Office for final delivery. Received a tracking notification that they arrived at the post office on 10/31 and a subsequent scan that said they were out for delivery to be delivered by end of day 10/31. Nothing showed up 10/31 or 11/1. Still said out for delivery. Figured it was probably sitting at the post office so tried to pick up at the post office on 11/2 before leaving for the wedding but they had no clue where it was. Was finally delivered 11/6- after the wedding. About 2 months prior lost time-sensitive correspondence for the same wedding resulting in delayed delivery. Utter incompetence.

Id like to thank the postal employee who stopped at my neighbors house and I had a piece of outgoing mail attached to the outside of my mail box, when he was finished delivering to my neighbor he jumped in his truck and proceeded to drive away when I was standing in my doorway and hollered to him to stop and pick up my mail. He gave me a glance after I hollered and waved but he ignored me and kept on driving. Needless to say my mail didnt go out today. Thanks USPS

They absolutely refuse to deliver packages to my work because we have a post office box. Not our fault some shippers choose USPS to send packages, so any time a package is coming through USPS the Sioux City location gets it and sends it back to the sender. They have lost so many of our packages its ridiculous.

I am in utter shock at the lack of customer service in the passport department. I was advised to setup an appointment, which I did and to give Ann a call. I was told shed be more than happy to assist. She referred me to a phone number to verify what documents we need to bring in for a legal alien resident. I asked the question if she could also look into this as well to prepare for our appointment, so we know if its worth it to keep the appointment. I was advised she doesnt have time to do it, will not, and referred to me to a different passport office. Ann also left me a voicemail stating if youre not a citizen, you cant get a passport. Which is NOT true if you are a legal resident with green card status. I understand the need to call the number, but the sarcastic undertone and lack of understanding was unreal. I requested to speak to a sup/manager because of this and was referred to a guy named Marcus. Ive done customer support and this is not the way to treat the public.

I’m scared about this post office employees .my friend sent a mail with check inside it through this post office .I was waiting to receive my mail for about 2 weeks out of regular mail days.when I tried to reach them they didn’t answer the phone.I lost my CHECK!!shame on USPS employees!!!!

I’m pretty sure these guys strive to have the worst customer service in the nation. Their automated call system is a joke and you cannot get the help needed there. If that’s not bad enough, no one will ever pick up the phone at the local office either. Missing a package? May as well forget about. No one here cares nor will they help you.

They never answer the phone or call me back after leaving a message. I always have to call the main 1-800 number and if the person from the main number asks this post office to contact me, I get an email from them telling me to call the number THAT THEY NEVER EVEN ANSWER OR CALL ME BACK FROM.

Looks, since the change to the post system, theres only one place to send mail or packages, and theres never enough workers. They try, but line is always long and just difficult when youre in a hurry. Ive heard of back customer service, but personally, the gals there have always been polite to me.

Not happy with the service at Sioux City Post Office. I have had multiple issues since I moved here 2 years ago. And, cant leave a message as the voicemail mailbox is full and no one ever answers the phone. I have had mail returned to senders using my correct address and yet get mail for other people whom dont live at my address. I also lost a $30 package that they delivered to the wrong address and were not able to recover!

Within a week theyve delivered 2 of my packages to the wrong address. Both items say they were delivered to a parcel box, I go out there and the box has already been opened both times. Im getting real tired of this constantly happening. I still have yet to receive my packages.

I cannot get through when I call. I have tried several different times of day on different days. I am not able to leave a message and no one answers. I live out of town and a trip there to handle what I think was a computer generated warning about my PO box, is not worth my time.

A package that was supposed to be delivered was marked that it couldnt be delivered. All my previous packages from the same company have always been put into my locked mailbox or set next to my inside apt door. (Not to mention, my daughter was home all day) Called the only customer service number I could find and it said wait time was 45 min! Well that came and went. 1 1/2 hr+ later, got someone that I could barely understand. And they could not tell me why the pckg was undeliverable. I filed a complaint and made sure to let them know when they call me regarding the complaint it needs to be after 3p cst since I will be at work. We will see if they pay attention to that.

The worst place to ship packages in the city. Absolutely pitiful customer service. The only time I use them to ship and I already knew I was going to have something to deal with. Go to Fedex or even the drop off location in HyVee. They’ll treat you 1000x better, despite being crazily expensive on Fedexs part. Even going on a road trip to personally hand deliver your package to someone would be a less frustrating choice.

They are always understaffed, complaining, and SLOW! The line will be out the door, and one of the 2 workers on duty will disappear for 20 minutes. This happens regularly. They dont know how to pick up the pace when things get busy. They need more employees, better training, and a fire under their asses!

Awful customer service, we were on the phone for 30 minutes and still couldnt get a hold of an actual person. Instead, we were sent from one automated message to another and were asked a ton of pointless questions as they were all unrelated to the issue we were having. Theyve also failed to deliver mail to my address on multiple occasions saying that the house is vacant. This happens about three times a month, which makes absolutely no sense. As I check my mail quite frequently.

Been trying to call because my mail has been lost for 3 weeks now and after going up there two days ago and waiting for a call back from the manager I still have yet to receive one and I have a package and medical papers that I desperately need. Instead of answering the phones, they just let them sit there and ring. Rang for 10minutes straight before I hung up. What a joke!!

Ive called about 5 times and even went down to the main building to have my address/carrier resolved but there was no action whatsoever. They said theyll get right on it and even give me a call back once they got it fixed but its already been a month. Very unhelpful.

Every expected package we have is delivered to the wrong location. I was expecting a delivery tonight and the update from the usps tracking said they didn’t have access to the delivery location. I didn’t event see them come by... Not impressed with the lack of effort put forth.

My mail smells like smoke so badly that I usually have to throw it away outside immediately. Ive also had to return many books and several stuffed animals because of the smell, and request that they ship a replacement by FedEx or UPS instead. Filed complaints but they say its not against their rules and they wont do anything about it.

This post office sucks so bad its UNREAL! Postman marked my package alert refused and I never even got a knock at the door so I called and it must have been a miracle cause they answered the phone! And they said it was a accident and it would be delivered but guess what still no package. USPS is a JOKE.
