Coming to Dr. Peter’s office is never stressful. He is thorough but light handed and very reassuring. Also the hygienists and staff are very efficient and run the office smoothly. I don’t hesitate to recommend coming here!

Dr C. had me totally at ease while he was digging around inside my mouth with miniature power tools (not an easy thing to do). They are kind, professional, and impeccably on-time. I guess I will start flossing now.

I was a regular patient here for 5-6 years, two visits a year. They are very friendly, easy to schedule appointments with, and have always been very good at answering questions about my dental health and optional treatments. I always appreciated that they always would give the price after insurance for their services whenever they would offer any optional services - it made it much easier to make informed decisions more quickly.

Ive been a patient of the Colosimo family for 30 plus years and have recommended them to numerous friends for years. We dont call him Painless Peter for nothing! The staff is nice, and Im very happy with their careful COVID protocol.

Great Customer Service and Quality Work! Shorewood Family Dental helped me through recent atypical dental work, they went out of their way to make sure I was well informed, connected me with excellent periodontists and outfitted me with a new dental implant crown that looks great!

I recently came from an appointment with Dr. Peter at Shorewood Family Dentistry and my experience was highly unpleasant. I came in for a routine cleaning/check up and the hygienist and Dr. Peter discovered a cavity and tested it consistently by spraying cold water and grabbing causing discomfort multiple times; then after doing this while clearly knowing my pain and suffering, choose not to prescribe any antibiotics. Then on top of that, I proceeded to billing and the price I was informed of prior to the service was 4xs more after the work. Then the receptionist proceeded to make false claims that I was informed of the prices prior to the visit which is a bold face lie because I wouldnt of had the cleaning done for such a ridiculous price. Dr. Peter is young and stereotypical, he needs to treat all his patients with dignity and respect and thats something a Marquette degree cant teach.

Several of my upper teeth had been bonded quite a few years ago and had discolored. These teeth, and the uppers around them did not look good overall. I wanted a cleaner and whiter look.Dr. Peter did a thorough job explaining my options.I first did a whitening procedure under his direction, then he went to work on the teeth we identified.Dr. Peter was very careful to match color, remove the old bonding material, and to shape some of my teeth which resulted in a highly improved appearance.I would recommend Dr. Peter to anyone considering this kind of special, detailed procedure to re-bond and whiten teeth. He did an amazing job.

I have been going to Shorewood Family Dentistry for years. I have been treated by the father and son Doctors Colosimo, both of whom are the best in their field. They are incredibly compassionate and as a person who is afraid of drilling and dental work, they always go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and to ensure that every procedure is painless. Dana, the Dental Hygienist, is incredibly skilled and is a pleasure to see every time. The staff is always welcoming and the top-floor view from the dental chairs is a nice touch! I have been a client at Shorewood Family Dentistry for over 10 years and have always had a great experience. I recently had a bonding replaced on my front tooth (I had chipped it about 20 years ago and the previous bonding from another dentist finally broke off). I called Dr. Colosimos office and they were able to accommodate my work schedule and stayed open late on New Years Eve of all days to fix it for me! Dr. Colosimo and the hygenist on duty (she was new to me and I do not remember her name) were excellent. They took the time to make sure my tooth was repaired to the highest quality, matched the color perfectly, and even did a second round of work because I needed the shape to be just a bit different in order for it to feel like my own face :) It has been almost 2 months now and so far so good. I would definitely recommend Dr. Peter J. Colosimo and everyone on staff at Shorewood Family Dentistry for anything from a routine 6 month check up to any repairs you may need.

I recently had my first tooth extracted and I am a senior citizen. The lower molar was fractured and after x-rays were taken and options were discussed with Dr. Peter Colosimo, it was determined that the tooth had to be removed.. Dr. Peter gave me a choice of either seeing an oral surgeon or having him do the extraction. When I decided that he would do the procedure, he explained the process thoroughly. Needless to say, when the day came, I was still anxious. When I sat in the dentists chair, his assistant gave me a pair of sunglasses to shield my eyes from the bright overhead light. The extraction went so smoothly that I could hardly believe that it was over. Dr. Peter then gave me a packet of post-operative instructions and went over them in detail. I cant thank Dr. Colosimo and the staff at Shorewood Family Dentistry enough for the professional and caring service that I received.

Dr. Colosimo and his staff are very friendly. I had several white fillings crack which Dr.Colosimo removed and replaced with metal. I have had no problems since. His hygienist also does a great job with cleanings. If you have dental insurance through tri-care, your insurance will be accepted here.
