The guys at this Meineke location were great! They were very polite and explained everything clearly. They even found an important part under the car that needed replaced! I will be back to have the air compressor replaced because they were so nice to look up and quote a price for it.
My brake pedal would go straight to the floor when braking and I was in desperate need of a mechanic. My regular mechanic as well as others in town are short handed and couldnt get me in for at least 2 weeks. The manger at Meineke said he had just one mechanic working but knew I was a bit desperate and asked me to drop it off and they would look at it in the morning, but couldnt promise that they could fix it right away. He called after looking at it and not only replaced my master cylinder that same day, they also took care of a few other minor issues. Both the manager and the mechanic were extremely helpful and they would highly recommend them to anyone. I am so grateful to these guys!
Chris the shop manager was very professional and friendly. I had an appointment and when I arrive my car went right into the shop. I had a front end alignment as my tires were wearing a little bit to the inside. The car now seems to be aligned perfectly. The work was done fast. The price was very reasonable the shop was clean and had a comfortable waiting area with two televisions I would highly recommend this Meineke location in Shelbyville for your car services.
Meineke was able to diagnose & fix 2 oil leaks that 2 other auto repair businesses missed. Both were fixed promptly and my car runs better than it has in over a year!! Friendly and clean waiting area. When I arrived I was informed of a delay and there would be wait although I had an appointment. I didn’t mind as I was informed before hand and understood how everyone and everything is short handed due to the virus. Once my car entered the shop it was in and out quickly. Very friendly service. I couldnt be happier about that. A nice place to wait for any work being done. Clean bathrooms. The only reason for not being a 5 star review was the time it took. Theres a window to see into the shop and the crew seemed well aware of it; meaning, they stayed clear of view. Definitely a 5 star place if they wanted it to be.
Had an oil change. Very friendly and fast. Had a minor hiccup where a bolt came loose in the oil pan and it was knocking. They immediately got me back in and replaced it. This Meineke location has always been pleasant for me.
I had purchased a battery and alternator in September of 2020, however due to not using my vehicle during the winter much the battery died on me and couldnt recharge and hold charge so they replaced it with a new one. I was afraid that theyd give me a hard time but it was a simple fix without a lot of trouble in fact no hassle at all. Warranty is Warranty. Stay clear. I brought my car in for a knocking sound in my brakes. They said my brakes were fine and that my transmission was bad. Said I needed a new one. Took it somewhere else and he said nope just some rust, cleaned it off, sound gone. What a joke this place is. On top of that, my car nearly broke down on a 500 mile road trip because they never put my transmission cap back in. Now I cant even go home without spending $30 on a new one. Beyond furious

Avoid this place, period. My daughter took her car in for an oil change. I warned her against add-ons and she declined all of them. They tried to have her use full synthetic oil for twice the price. Then they wanted $66.82 + tax for an air filter Walmart sells for $6. Then they wanted to do a coolant flush with 2 gallons of coolant when it only holds 3.2 quarts. What they wanted for brakes was even worse. The worst part was they claimed to rotate the tires but failed to check the pressure.

I went in for an oil change and front end alignment. They refused to do the alignment unless I bought 3 new tires, which were overpriced. I refused and only had them do the oil change. The next day I went to a tire shop to have 4 new tires installed for cheaper than Meineke and wanted for 3. The tire shop asked me when the last time my oil was changed because the underside of my 32k mile car was covered in motor oil. I told them “yesterday at Meineke”. They removed the skid plate to reveal that the oil drain plug was not tight. Meineke nearly cost me an engine on a car with 32k miles. Do not go here.

5/22/21 I took my truck to them for lack of power when accelerating onto the hwy. Replaced the plugs, wires & Air Flow Sensor (which was under warranty from previous work and charged me for it. Still waiting on that $294.61 repayment) 2 days later, I go to get on the hwy & the problem is still there. They didnt listen to the complaint &/or try to recreate it once my truck was fixed.Take the truck back 3 days after it was fixed, to have them to fix it again & reconnect the Temp Gauge they left unhooked from 5/22.I am now told that the transmission is bad, and they need to send it to the Middletown shop because they dont have a Trans Tech. (The Trans is under warranty from they 6/5/20 - which took a month to get fixed the 1st time) I was told it will be a couple weeks to get my truck in to be fixed.Each & every time I have had my vehicle worked on in that shop, I have had to take it back to have it fixed correctly due to something they forgot to do of finish.
I had a new water pump installed due to some bolt failures on the old pulley. The guys ran into some issues with fan clutch that were not their doing. They were tough and stuck with it until they finished my ol truck up. I would definitely take it back to those guys even though they may all run when they see me pull in. I needed an oil change plus we had taken our vechicle someplace else for some extensive repair work that Meineke does not do and our dip stick was broken in the process. I sw David in the beginning of the week when I made my appointment and he was able to order me a new dip stick and get it replaced for me. He was very thorough with calling me to tell me that he had ordered the dip stick and it would be there waiting when we brought our vechicle in for our appointment. Everything went smoothly. My oil was changed, the dip stick replaced and it was very affordable .
I cannot recommend Meineke enough! I took my truck there yesterday after struggling with an issue with my muffler. What I thought to be a tough job was completed quickly by Billy and his crew and Meineke. The store was clean. My truck was returned clean and in better condition than it was prior to bringing is here (hint: my issue was fixed and done right). Once my truck was repaired, I was promptly called and notified as such. My wait time was minimal and I was greeted in a professional and polite manner. Oh, and you cannot beat the value and price for services rendered. Consider Meineke for your auto repair needs.
Took them 2 hours and 10 minutes to do a 30 minute job. I went in there to get my tires mounted and I was promised 30 minutes tops and I was sitting there for 2+ hours But they gave me a good deal and they did a good job. There was no other car in there so there’s no reason why it should’ve taken that long.
This was my third time there with two different cars in the last six months. All three were just supposed to be oil changes, but they push more on you. The second time cost me $353.27. This time they told me all my brake pads and rotors were bad and needed changing. Plus my cabin and especially my air filter needed replacing, it was affecting my mileage. Then suggested a manufacturers recommended 60,000 mile tune-up. I declined all and took my 2016 Ford Escape to Bill Collins Ford, the next day.Their inspection found my front brake pads were about half gone and the rear only 1/4 worn down. They said both filters were still OK and that they properly re-installed one of them. They told me the recommendation for a tune-up was at 100,000 miles. Since they didnt find anything wrong, they knocked off half of their inspection fee.
We were so grateful that they were open to service our vehicle. They took our truck in upon arrival and diagnosed exactly what was needed. The repairs were performed expeditiously! Excellent communication while repairs were performed and completed. Highly recommended!
Had an appointment for an oil change yesterday at 10am and did not get my car back until 3pm, was told they were backed up due to waiting on parts for other vehicles. I don’t mind waiting but wish I was told up front that there was going to be a wait even though I had an appointment.
Went into get my wiper motor replaced on my 2009 Chevy Silverado. They had the motor replaced it in a very timely manner and I was on my way.....
They did a good job and let me know when my car was ready.

One of the worst experiences ever. Took my car in for a battery and belt. After I left my car they called me multiple times telling me it needed a pulley. Also told me my car couldnt run unless I had the pulley fixed. So I had my boyfriend to go there with me where they met us in parking lot . Then it was exact words I THINK. They thought they could scare me in to just going ahead and doing it. But when he showed up it was a different story. Never will I do business with this place again
Use the Groupon to get a discount of more than 50% on a wheel alignment. Didnt have to wait very long for them to complete the work. There is a new manager there, Paul who was all about taking care of business and definitely focused on customers.
2pm appointment it’s after 3,and I’m still sitting here. Why did I make an appointment? If I hadn’t already paid for a Groupon coupon I would have left. Other oil change places once been in and out in 15. What a waste of time.

Returning customerI had my ac checked and filled last year along with dye.This year it was only blowing cool & not cold.They checked it and said no leaks, low on Freon. So they filled it again.I had asked why is my ac not holding Freon as it had in the past? I was told some cars have to be filled every year.I’m wondering how could that be.... it doesn’t make sense to me unless the Freon is being used while the heat is on.I’m going to research this.

Yesterday I brought car in for scheduled online oil change and to replace my serpentine belt and tensioner pulley that are still currently squealing. Both under warranty .. After leaving the 1st time after having oil change, clerk charged me to clean my belt vs replacing my warranted belt put on last month. So I left it was quite until I got on highway back home in Louisville. I then called the store back and said I wanted my belt replaced as its louder. Clerk said bring it back. When I get there clerk suggest I need a tensioner pulley. I said I already had meinke btown replace that and i have a warranty. He called that store to verify. After confirming. The clerk comes out and says to save me money he just had his service tech clean belt and pulley. I drove away still squeaking. The store did not want to honor none of my warranties. Because they would not get paid for the labor.. I find this unethical and poor business. A customer also overheard what thr clerk had said about my warranty. So I will not return and not refer anyone. Scam. Heartless company all about money that I have always paid for poor service that I continue to come back for their mistakes. I used to be a valued customer with all my vehicles. Not anymore. Im sure corporate will not even reach out either. Anyhow I had to go to autozone and purchase a belt and tensioner and have it repaired elsewhere. Now no sound. Thanks to a boot leg side guy at autozone.Lastly clerks wrote on original receipts that I declined to replace belt etc. That is a lie. Why when I drove all the way to another county and my items are under warranty. All a way to cover the store tracks. They let me drive all the a 2nd time unsafe belt was wobbling and screaming along with defective mechanical clicking from the tensioner pulley again under warranty that he suggested I needed. They just didnt want to have to due any manual labor for free. I always pay for whats owed. Now if its under warranty its only right. Poor service from a so called pastor.
They left bolts loose 3 turn out had a pop and clunking took back took another hour and a half and when I got home I had a groan when I got out I checked everything and there was still 2 bolts that that were loose and not compressing the rubber bushings in the lower control arms I guess they dont know how to use a socket on both sides. When your safety is involved go somewhere else that hires skilled techs or do it yourself that way you know its done right.

Billy is a outstanding Guy, and very professional, its just that they have had my car almost a month now. It was in their shop for two weeks, got it back for 5 hours, and it went right back in the shop and have had it for another two weeks. If it wasnt for a good friend of mine giving me a ride to work everyday I would have been out of a job by now due to no transportation. Hopefully I can get a discount for all the time I have had to wait.

3.19.2019 - I took my car in to have oil leak checked after a full synthetic oil change was done at WalMart that morning. Tech Ken put it on the rack and allowed me to visually inspect under the engine. As a diagnostic, Ken added UV dye to crank case, cleaned off fresh oil spills with solvent (oil filter loose by 3/4 turn, oil slick ALL over the oilpan). I had my dual beam lights replaced same day.3.21.2019 - brought my car back in to recheck leaks. Ken cleaned the remaining oil from the top side of engine and asked me to return after several days to make sure the UV dye permeated the engine oil.3.28.2019 - returned today after adding additional UV dye over the weekend. I had the tires balanced again. One was off off off 25gm and the other by 15gm (another shoddy Walmart balance). V.V.T and Camshaft Position Sensor was replaced. The Valve cover gasket was replaced under Meineke warranty.ALL work performed and completed by Ken.NEW management (Billy) and tech (Ken) is awesome to work with. I have the utmost respect for Ken (Navy Veteran) for his knowledge base and expertise in all things automotive.So disregard the earlier Google ratings and check out the newest automotive repair center in Shelbyville. Others repair centers have come highly recommended but as a female Army veteran, I always felt these other automotive centers were pulling a fast one and overcharging me for repairs. Here at Meineke, I felt treated as a peer or equal, and Ken did not hesitate to share his abundant knowledge.
Billy is very friendly and professional. He gives recommendations on what your car truly needs and does not push you to make unnecessary and expensive repairs you do not need. They always do a great job whenever they work on our vehicles and manage to do it in a timely manner.
Initially paid over $800 for new condenser for my SUV. I had to take my car back 6 TIMES because they couldnt find out what was wrong with it. The last time I took it back, they had changed management and screwed me out of my money. Do NOT waste your money here! Bunch of crooks!
Hello and to whom it may concern I was disappointed in a few things that they didnt do like checking all fluids on car also I had my tires rotation and had them check the balance on all four tires I had ask them not and I quoted to the manager not to put any weights on the outside of my rims and afterwards after I got home I check all my tires to see if there was any weights on the outside of my rims and I found that they had did the opposite of what I had ask I didnt check them when I was there because I trusted them with my car because they have done it many times before other than that everything was done ok they just need to pay more attention to what the customer has ask for.

I purchased a groupon for an oil change that included filter change, fluid top off, tire rotation and 23 point inspection. Before taking my car, I took one of the tire air caps off. My purpose for doing this was to confirm whether or not the tire rotation had been completed. If the cap was off in the same spot, I’d know that it had not been. After the work was supposedly done, the guy at the counter handed me my keys and said I was all set. No paperwork, no advising me of the condition of my vehicle/recommendations... Nothing! I asked him if my tires had been rotated and he told me yes. I then go out to my car thinking maybe the document detailing the status information of my car was out there, but it wasn’t. In addition to this, I checked my tires and the tire that I removed the air cap from was still in the same spot, so they had not even rotated my tires. I informed the guy at the counter of this, and he of course brought my car in and had my tires rotated. I watched this time. The guy that worked on my car initially was very nice and very apologetic. However, my issue is that I don’t trust the quality of their work now and it calls into question everything else they were supposed to have done. If they didn’t rotate my tires, and the guy at the counter lied initially and said they did, how am I to trust that they did any work at all?! I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the experience that I had, and I will not be returning!
Had a Groupon for an oil change. Made an appointment. Went with the intention of sitting all afternoon. They were extremely friendly, and had me out in 30 minutes, even though others were waiting and someone had called in sick. I was very impressed! Ill definitely be back.
Took it in during my lunch. Told a muffler replacement would take 45 minutes. At the one hour mark I asked how much longer, was told 30 minutes more. They were pretty quick about cutting the old muffler out but didnt seem to be in any hurry putting the new one in. 1.5 hours later it was done. They were pretty quick about the oil change, mustve took less than 10 minutes because I never saw them do it. Welding job on the muffler looks like it was done by a 3rd grader. Dont bother responding, Im not going back.

Billy and his team are AMAZING. I cannot recommend this location enough. I had an appointment to get my oil changed. my car didnt get done that day due to some issues with other cars (it happens, im sure its an unpredictable job) so billy offered to do it first thing in the morning (but i had to work) so he switched my appointment to the next day. He worked around my schedule, and he went above and beyond to make the situation right. My car was done quickly and i got a phone call as soon as it was completed. The customer service was phenominal, and to be honest, its the reason ill be back. :)
They was to busy today short handed much rather have had my car done here but she needed to get changed and I had to have her changed but next time I will make sure I go here theyre all seem pretty nice there they took well care of my car last time

I will never take my car there again!!!! I had recently gotten a oil change from there. First problem, I have is my air pressure in my tires was never checked! They were the same pressure 3 days before my oil got changed! So, I checked them before the car went back and it was the same air pressure 3 days before. Second problem I have is my windshield wiper fluid was low, so I figured they would fill it up. Wrong on that one! Light never went off, and the fluid ended up being empty. So, I bought some de-icer wiper fluid to put in there, and my hood wont come up now! Tires were never rotated, and Im beginning to wonder if my oil was changed!!!!

Had flat fixed.Told them to fix and move to rear.They did and put the spare in the back of the truck bed.I thought they would have put the spare back under the truck. But not? 2 mechanics there and no other customers. I understand why there were no other customers. Cost $42 which I thought was outrageous.

This is the second time we went in for an oil change and they didn’t rotate the tires. The first time they talked their way out of it and took it back in and rotated them. The second time I took a piece of chalk and marked the valve stem to see if they would get rotated. The tire hadn’t moved. We will find somewhere else to go.

We had an appointment for an oil change. We arrived 10 minutes. We ended up waiting 40 minutes for a 20 minute service. My husband was with me. We said we wanted a basic oil change and upon checking our bill found we were given synthetic oil anyway. We were very disappointed with this service.
