My boyfriend and I took our niece and nephew painting at Plaster Kraze this past weekend and all of us had a great time. We had made an appointment and was pleasantly welcomed and immediately brought to our waiting table. The hardest part was picking our pieces from so many wonderful choices. Although there was a party going on in the other room the owner and staff made sure we were always taken care of. I highly recommend and look forward to going again soon. My girlfriends and I just reserved a girls night out for painting.
I took my two nieces here today for some painting fun! The service was outstanding! There are plenty of plaster options for children to pick from, there’s lots of space and covid compliant. Its highly recommended you make an appointment ahead of time to secure a spot. The girls had a blast picking out their pieces and painting them! Thank you Plasterkraze!
I just want to give a wonderful business the great review that they deserve. I have been taking my kids to paint for a few years and have had birthdays parties too. The owners Beth & Sue, I think mother & daughter are the sweetest people and truly love what they are doing. Sue did my daughters party and everyone raved about it. I was there today during winter recess and although they were quite busy they did a great job of giving everyone their own tables and having the clear dividers if needed so they can follow covid safety. My 10 year old said she cant wait until she is old enough to work there. I didnt see Sue and felt sorry for Beth as she was trying to do it all and other woman working seemed a bit out of it. If you are looking for a fun time in a safe place for kids or adults like myself give them a call.
Has very high turnover staff rate other then the woman who conducts the childrens birthday parties. Owner could be much friendlier and more professional.
My kids and I love going to Plasterkraze and have always been treated well by all. I felt the need to comment after being there twice during winter recess last week and witnessing crazy customer behavior and reading a few comments. I know that we are all stressed from the covid fallout but we all need to still be respectful of each other. I have never heard the manager or staff be rude but often when some one does not get their way that is what they say. I am amazed at how well the manager was able to keep it together while dealing with some of them. The most common issue I witnessed was demanding a table with no appointment and coupon black out dates. I applaud how well the staff kept it all together and still managed to make it a pleasant and safe experience for all of us.
Was looking forward to taking my daughter out for a treat over the break & made an apt & was told there would only be two other people there. When we arrived it was fully packed & they wouldn’t let me sit near my daughter as a non painter & the staff was terribly rude. Although my little one enjoyed her painting, I did not like the attitude or environment.
Went during winter break. We had so much fun. Very pleasant staff, plenty of pieces to choose from.
My 3 grandkids and I had a wonderful experience. The older woman working was so patient and helpful making my grandkids feel like they painted a masterpiece. Will definitely go back again soon.
Called ahead and was able to do a walk-in for two people, no problem! Organized, clean and very covid safe, and all the options were so cute and fun!
The older woman behind the desk is very rude and rejected my Groupon coupon because they weren’t running the promotion “that week.” Got very defensive and interrupted me when I asked a simple question. I feel bad for the staff that works there because they are very helpful and nice.
Plasterkraze Inc. Top Notch ServicesBravery Honor Loyalty SacrificeOperating in top priority for safety first to the community. Following all NYS cdc laws and guidelines due to on going pandemic. As my son and I were on a mission on a rainy day to find something fun to do I remember this place as I took my daughter to it when she was young. I called up due to previous reviews and seeing you had to make an appointment. The lady who answered was very friendly and accommodating arriving a few minutes after they took us anyway. The lady at the desk Beth was very welcoming the seats had plexiglass for separation. We were instructed by Heather to choose a piece we got rang up $36 everything else included beautiful fun pieces. It was packed with all ages older age grandparents look like a kids party and mothers and kids the age difference was incredible Everyone was attentive through staff. We chose paints The two of us had our own pallets and paint brushes both Tatianna and Heather leptons cleaning changing water one was doing something for service every second cleaning seating an plexiglass every time someone leftThe Studio was a Masterpiece ofService Excellence. The do birthday parties, summer camp and art classes. As years in the community they and value to the environment.Making a difference in safety and serviceWe absolutely LOVED IT!!!Thank you
Staff and management so rude! Not a fun experience. Soo EXPENSIVE!!!! Would not take coupon because fine print said 15 people or more. We had 13 kids, two kids had to stay home for quarantine. Kids can only choose from certain shelves or pay extra. spent $500 for 90 minutes when total was supposed to be $350 for party minus $50 groupon. Do not go to this location!!!
This place a is one big covid violation. Swamped with people, rude owner. Treating her teen staff in a harsh manner in front of customers. Do not book big groups every 15 mins, there are 2 dividers and about 6 tables. Run down store but mostly, your attitude.
Fun place and great customer service
We just came here at 5pm so my little nephew can paint something quick and the girl was extremely rude saying they’re closing - I said don’t you close at 6? And she said yeah it’s not enough time I said he’s 3 it’ll take ten minutes and she said no. I said well you should post that on your site and she was very sarcastic and laughed. No wonder people don’t like this place anymore, that’s a shameful way to treat people. It was a young girl who seemed very lazyNot to mention right after she was on her cell phone she must have had a very important phone call to make while “working”
My son went to a birthday party here and it was wonderful. The staff is very hands on and helpful, the selection is impressive, and their party room and activities were perfect to keep kids of varying ages entertained and laughing the whole time. Highly recommend it. I will be back visting more often as a weekend activity.
Me and my friends go here all the time (were 12) and we really enjoy painting, this was out hangout spot in the summer! I get to decorate my room with cool art and my little 5 year old brother loves painting superhero’s for his room as well! One time there was a teenager working there talking very loud on the phone on FaceTime with her friends but she was nice so it’s alright. Keep it up I’ll be stopping by again this week 😂!
My daughter attended a birthday party here and she loved it. There was a huge variety of plaster peices and paint colors to choose from. The girls were so fast running around giving everyone different colors of paint. Im sorry I didnt catch the name of the lady who ran the activities in the party room but she was wonderful. Would definitely recommend a party here.
I bring my kids here for painting, but also for the kids movie night, which is a super special drop off event every third Friday. My two are 6 and 8, and love it. For 3 hours, they paint, get fed dinner, watch a movie, have popcorn, snacks, and a little dance party; all while dressed in their pajamas...they absolutely look foward to this every month!!! Not only is it a great deal for parents, it is a great social opportunity for the children;)*Still coming here for movie/drop off...theyre 7 and 9...😉👍
Great place to go. Very helpful and friendly
Fun for the family, nice place to connect with my kids and do an art/craft together.
Great place for young and older alike to try something a little different.
Cant wait to take my daughter here again.
The owner of the place is very rude. My daughter and I went on a rainy afternoon, and we felt very rushed and unwanted. She made it very clear she wanted us in and out before a birthday party was to start, which there was more than enough room for us to stay. The owner had an inappropriate conversation on the phone with another customer, fighting about pricing right infront of us. She didn’t offer any type of coverup or apron and the paint is not washable. My daughter is three - things are bound to get messy! Our clothes have paint on them that won’t come out. And personally, she charges too much for the plaster pieces. They’re so tiny, outdated, and weak - the piece didn’t even make it the car ride home. Definitely not as good as I remember as a kid. Will not be returning.
Had a fun time with my three-year-old.. The building opened early at 11 AM for spring break but was not staffed appropriately. The woman who helped us seemed overwhelmed and rude when someone asked something of her. Maybe on school breaks they should add another staff to the shift🤷🏻♀️.
Over priced, tack on charges for everything..With hardly any space because the following hour parties there waiting. Its O K. And then groupon had cheaper packages for the exact week end we scheduled
Nice old school feeling ceramic shop. Prices were much higher than competitors but they have more of the bigger pieces to paint than competitors.
Nice place to let the kids relax a little. My daughter and my niece really enjoyed themselves and staff was nice. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon activity.
If you go here dont bother buying a groupon. Its value is only what you pay. For instance, I purchased a $60 Value groupon for $35. (You pay the tax on the groupon when you get there...be sure to read the fine print) when I arrived I was told they could only pick from certain items priced at $14.95 each. Then the girl added up all the plaster pieces and it came to $62 she then proceeded to subtract the $35 groupon from the $62....I ended up going in my pocket for another $32 to cover the difference and the tax. Also, I went with older girls and they were NOT offered a smock with their paint, like the smaller kids, and two of them ruined their clothing......(One of which was my daughters first Broadway production shirt)at which point they WERE offered smocks, although the damage had already been done.
Nice place to go on a rainy Sunday with the kids. The girl in the store was very helpful and pleasant.
I go to this place frequently for obvious reasons. This place is great theres nice staff and great sculptures.there is a decent variety of paints. They also have birthday parties which are great fun for young children.Overall the place is nice and freindly and is a relaxing activity.
This is a very nice place to have Birthday parties. My granddaughter loved it
Came with children. When we walked in the employees acted as if we interrupted their conversation. While painting they complained about the other employees to each other. Some of it was not kid friendly, but either way not a professional matter. All in all it’s a fun activity to do with the kids but don’t expect bubbly happy employees
I’m 21 years old, but even coming here just to hang out with a friend and paint. It was relaxing and nice. The employee working at the time was also such a sweet lady.
Great place. Friendly staff. Kids have a lot of fun there.
Great cute little place to bring your kids.
A fun place to take the kids. My granddaughter loves to come here!
The lady who runs the place is the rudest woman. Went there to paint and she was screaming the top of her lungs at a solicitor, they may be annoying but there is a better way to handle it. After the solicitor left she continued to complain about it to me. Then when she stopped ranting about the solicitor to me, she called her bank and fought on the phone with them. Definetly an unpleasant environment to paint in.
My daughter went to a friends party here had a lot of fun. Staff was great.
Love this place! So much fun and you cant beat the price! Great for Sunday Fundays!
Fun for all ages. Well priced with good selection
I wont be coming here again not very inviting or friendly. Very poor paint, and not a great color selection
The woman who runs this place is one of the rudest people Ive ever met. Ive taken my kids twice to this location, both times we were met with an attitude and nasty faces. She shouldnt be allowed to work around adults, let alone children.
The worker didnt seem to thrilled that we came 45 minutes before closing with a groupon. We were almost turned away, so we had to reason with the worker that a different worker said we could walk in.Run down, out dated over all. (Sun damaged and old themed decorations)Had a nice time with my kids, though. How does the place stay open?
Great idea for the kids they really enjoy painting but dont expect a warm welcome, even the 4 kids I brought said the woman at the counter was cranky.
Love love love amazing fun
Nice products
They under pay staff. Lie to the girls they hire and force them to work unpaid over time. They pay less then minimum wage! The owner will lie for a whole week and on pay day hand them half of what they should of gotten.
Great place
