My husband and I went on the small group Grand Canyon complete tour from Sedona. We had a wonder experience from start to finish. Isabell booked our tour. She was pleasant and patient when we had a couple of problems occur with our credit card. Mark Friedman was our guide. He was energetic and knowledgeable throughout out tour. We were able to see, do, and learn so much on our tour because of him. Thank you so much for all that you all did to make this experience so special for us!
Sheldon, our tour guide, was very professional, kind and knowledgeable. His expertise and fun made our tour of the Grand Canyon so memorable. I highly recommend this tour and definitely Sheldon!
Ed, our tour guide, I hope you read this: this was the most amazing guided tour EVER! I learned so much. Great people, atmosphere, everything! The company was very professional and timely. Even the music on the way home was inspiring. Don’t try to see the Grand Canyon strictly by yourself. Make it a learning expedition as well. Book group ventures now!
Sheldon was amazing!! Our tour ‘family’ was wonderful. He made the trip amazing. Would 100% recommend Sheldon. He genuinely wants you to have the best time and cares about your experience. Thank you Sheldon!!
My wife booked a tour of the Grand Canyon through this company. Our guide, Kevin, was a wealth of information. This dude knew every rock, plant and wildlife in the whole state! He kept the tour moving and took us to some breathtaking views. He even had a spotters scope that allowed us to see things no one else in the area could! He volunteered to take pictures all day and even set us up for some great photo ops. And the coup de gras was when we went to tip him he said “this is too much.” Who in the hospitality business does that? We insisted he keep it as he had earned it through his dedication to get us the breathtaking views we had hoped for, and he did not disappoint.I would not hesitate to use this company again.
Joe was our guide and was so friendly, informative and helpful. Hold us many details of thr area and was super friendly and niceto talk to! Highly recommend!
Sheldon Finkelstein was our tour guide to the Grand Canyon Railroad and tour. He was awesome! Very informative, concerned how to get the best time for everywhere he wanted to take us for the best views! The Grand Canyon is spectacular all the pictures taken doesnt even come close how big it is. Thank you Sheldon for a fantastic trip today! The Thomas from Statesville, NC
Great time. Our guide/driver, Andrea, was great and very knowledgeable.
We participated in the Day Trip from Sedona to the Grand Canyon. Wow, the majestic views of the Canyon were complimented by the immense knowledge provided by our guide, Sheldon. He managed to not only host, but to entertain a wide range of age groups. His knowledge, passion and humor will be forever be engrained in our GC memories.
We had a tour of the Grand Canyon from Sedona and had a wonderful time. Our guide Sheldon was amazing. He was very patient, informative, and wanted to ensure that we had the best views of the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend for families!!

Steve the encyclopedia provided an unmatched tour. His vast knowledge of information is truly impressive. We learned more facts about Arizona then we can remember. He was accommodating to all his passengers needs and brought us to the best places in the Canyon!!! While never rushed Steve kept us on schedule to end the day with the perfect sunset. Awesome trip!!!!
Great outdoor activities.
Sheldon was the greatest guide ever! What a great day. I highly recommend Great Venture Tours to experience the best of Sedona. Thank you!
We had a fantastic tour of the Grand Canyon through this company! Our tour guide Chris was so friendly and knowledgeable about the area and its history! He provided us with enough time to see the sights while keeping things moving so the day wasnt drawn out. We will happily take one of the other tours offered next time were in the state!
Fantastic tour! Sheldon was the best! He seemed to know pretty much everything...and he had great stories to go with many places or people from years ago! We highly recommend this tour!!!
We had a wonderful time! Our guide Mark Friedman, was a wealth of knowledge. I would highly recommend the Grand Canyon tour !! Thanks Mark
My boyfriend and I went on a tour yesterday to horseshoe bend and antelope canyon. The tour was amazing! It was definitely worth the money, the sights on the way are to die for. Charlie was our tour guide and he was awesome as well, he had so many fun facts on the way and also gave great advice on places to visit and eat for the rest of everyone’s stay. He really made sure we got what we came for and more as far as sight seeing. I highly recommend this tour to anyone
A great day trip to the Grand Canyon. Our driver Rick was very patient and knowledgeable, and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the scenery. Would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see the Grand Canyon!
Highly recommended! The tour guides are very knowledgeable and accommodating. Best way to see the sites in my opinion.
We had a great time Andrea was amazing. She was right on time picking us up and dropping us off. She was so knowledgeable of everything. Great with the kids and kept us intrigued the whole time. Willing to answer any questions. Would highly recommend the Grand Canyon tour ... Thank you so much !!!!
Our Guide/Driver Ed shared his wealth of knowledge about the people and history of the area. We learned so much more than we expected and highly recommend this tour.
We went on the Grand Canyon Deluxe tour and it was great!! Our tour guide was absolutely the best and made ever effort to satisfy our group. So happy that we decided to see the Grand Canyon on this tour and even more happy we were fortunate to have Sheldon as our tour guide!! Thanks, Sheldon for your efforts and helping to make this our tour ever.
I was able to take my parents, who are both in their early 80s, on this trip! Our tour guide, Charlie, was very accommodating and knowledgeable. My parents and I were able to sit back and enjoy the day without having to worry about driving, finding parking ect. I would highly recommend this tour company.
We went on the Complete Grand Canyon tour with Ty today. It was all that was promised with a lot of information and seeing a ton of sights we would have missed if we had tried to go on our own. This was a great value and were so happy we went!
Excellent Grand Canyon complete tour yesterday. Chris was our tour guide and we had a wonderful day. I highly recommend seeing the Grand Canyon this way over going on your own. Well worth the cost and ask for Chris as your guide. He really made the trip!
The tour was one of the best we have ever been on and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide Richard Santos was absolutely fantastic and his knowledge of the area was truly amazing. We would highly recommend him to anyone coming to this area. He was very courteous and more than helpful with all our questions.
Sheldon was the BEST tour guide ever. He had so many interesting facts and he was so incredibly kind and patient. Ask for him when you go on a tour, you will be so happy you did.
Our tour guide Smokey knew some much about the area. He really tried to please us any way he could. We really enjoyed all of the information and stories. Great tour!
Lynns Grand Canyon tour was excellent !!She is very knowledgeable, organized, energetic. Her love for and studies of the history, geology, plants, animals, ... is evident. Highly recommend her tours!
Ty was great. He was very knowledgeable in all things Sedona, Grand Canyon, and Arizona in general. Even though the weather took a bad turn, he made it an enjoyable and informative trip.
I would highly recommend Great Adventure Tours to see the Grand Canyon. We vacationed in beautiful Sedona took a bus tour from the Hyatt to the east rim of the canyon, allowing us to avoid the busy south rim (especially since it was Labor Day weekend). Our tour guide, Tim, was very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about what he does. Also very accomodating with our group, which was much appreciated. I will choose this company for another tour when I return.
A must in Sedona. We were fortunate to have Larry as our guide and he was great!
Sheldon is a great tour guide with a true love for what he does. The Grand Canyon Deluxe tour was 13 hours from pickup at our Sedona resort to return door step delivery, but worth every second and every penny! From volcano to Indian site to Navaho trading post, traditional food for lunch, all excellent, and then the best views of the Grand Canyon, it doesnt get any better. Sheldon has a great personality and he is very knowledgeable, asking our input about comfort and which stops to focus our time to get the best value.Highly recommend this tour with Sheldon. Ask for him by name to be your guide.
Wow, just wow. Our day started off to a rocky start with a van switch up due to an air conditioning malfunction, but our guide Steve made up for it by being a fantastic tour guide--he made the day absolutely perfect and highly memorable. What a postive and energetic spirit he is! To entertain a family of 4 with young kids on a 12 hr. tour, along with 9 other folks (including other young kids) is not an easy feat, but he did it so very well. Steve was incredibly informative about the areas/sites we visited during our Grand Canyon complete tour in June, but just about random facts in general which was highly entertaining for us. We learned a lot from him on this tour. The only recommendation I would make for this company is to update their vans. I highly recommend Steve as a guide.
Sheldon was a fantabulous tour guide for our Sedona Small Tour package. He was very professional, knowledgeable, funny and engaged his group during the tour. He asked us for our tour input of sites to visit and he shared some of his favorite areas as well. Highly recommend Sheldon and also his recommendations while anyone is visiting this beautiful town.
This past Tuesday, our group of 6 seniors, had the pleasant opportunity of taking the Sedona/Grand Canyon tour with an amazing driver/tour guide. Chris was not only pleasant, knowledgeable, entertaining, he was compassionate too. One of our six is somewhat handicapped, limited to walking with a cane. Chris went totally out of his way to make some of the Grand Canyon viewing stops easy for her to view without exiting the busIf you are considering this tour, ask for Chris when making your reservation! You wont regret it!Several years ago we took a tour with a competing tour company and there is just no comparison. We highly recommend tourists take this trip to Sedona and Grand Canyon. The next Arizona visit we are going to inquire about your other tours. l You do it so well!
We went to Horseshoe Bend and Antelope canyon. Great guide and breathtaking views.
This review isnt so much about the tour. The Grand Canyon was spectacular but our driver Ty, not so much. In my opinion, he was rude, unfriendly, and sometimes sarcastic. My sister seems to be the thorn in his side. She is 72 and sometimes moves at her own pace. I can understand being on a schedule and she was always the last one to board after we made stops. He had no problem telling the rest of us how he felt but wasnt man enough to say something to her even after I suggested that he tell her and not US. I felt that some of our stops were rushed. That may be because he was deducting time that she was late. How much enjoyment were we suppose to get from a 10 minute stop? His anger was clearly showing as the day went on. He tailgated people in traffic and made long passes on the roads having no concern that he may have made so e of the passengers uncomfortable. He often threw his hands up in frustration because the person in front of him wasnt moving fast enough for him. His poor attitude showed from the ti e he picked us up. He was late because he went to the Best Western when we were at Arroyo Roble. That may have been a mistake on the part of the person that took the reservation. Either way, WE were on time. I had to get the resort staff to call the company to ask why we hadnt been picked up yet. My sister is a talker and if he didnt want the conversation, he easily could have said so. Other than the initial and last stop, he made no effort to assist her in and out of the van. He only helped during the LAST stop because she asked him. The only time he showed her ANY kindness was when she gave him a $20 tip. He lit up like the 4th of July sky after that. Shes a much better person than I am because I would have given him the same respect as shown if it had been me. His stress level is going to kill him. He may not have said much about his anger but it clearly showed in his behavior. Had I known we would receive such a grouch, I would have driven the 4+ hour round trip rather than deal with his pouty attitude. I should have gone with my first choice but I chose Great Adventure because the desk staff recommended them. That was a lesson learned.
The tour is utter waste, you have to watch everything from inside and the vans windows and shades were so dirty that you cant even see clearly. Tours should target museums and gallerys which show the history of a place, unfortunately they dont even take you there. Not even a single star for this and am repenting for spending $ 53 + $ 8 tax through groupon.
I just had one of there vehicles fly by me on Millton street in Flagstaff doing fifty miles an hour and its only a thirty mile an hour sone, and he/she was weaving in and out of traffic. So trust me its not the ride you want to take..
This is your best chance to raft the Colorado River. No 6 month waits.
We took this tour from flagstaff to antelope canyon and horseshoe bend. The entire trip was a disaster from start to end.Our driver/guides name was Bryan. We were informed the night before our trip that we would be picked up from our hotel at 7:25 am. So, next day my mother and I were there in the lobby starting 7 am. 7:25 came, and no one picked us up. At 7:30 I called the tour company, and was assured by the operator, Catherine, that the driver is on the way.At 07:45, still no one showed up, and I called Catherine again. This time she put me on hold and talked to the driver. The driver told her that we were already on board. So Catherine asks me what problem do I have.... I tell her that I dont know who is on board, but it is most certainly not us. On hold again. This time, she tells me that there was some mistake, and driver will be there soon. Finally, at 8:25 the bus pulls up to take us. The driver is not at all apologetic, instead is grinning as if he has made some big accomplishment. He tells us he was supposed to pick up 2 ladies, so he picked up 2 ladies here earlier. To clarify, I specifically asked him So you picked up 2 random people? And he is like yep, they were hitchiking.Owing to the fact that he picked us up at 8:25 instead of 7:25, and that the tour was overbooked, there were only 1.5 seats left. 1 seat was next to another passenger, and the 0.5 seat was in the last row between two very well built couples. My mother took the seat next to the passenger, and I squeezed into the 0.5 seat. This made all of us very uncomfortable. Now keep in mind this is a 10 hour tour. Imagine having to sit like that for 10 hours. At the next washroom stop, we requested the driver to empty the seat next to him, where he had some coolers for food and drink. We suggested he place them in the aisle and let one of us sit there so we are all comfortable. Driver refused to hear our suggestion. Despite multiple requests he did not care about our discomfort. We made do.. didnt know what else to do, but then, a white lady who for some reason did not wish to sit next to the Asian/Indian people on the bus, went and told the driver (Bryan) that she wants to sit on the front sit.And guess what... Immediately all the rules about not putting coolers in aisles went away. Coolers came into the aisle... Not to mention while moving the coolers Bryan literally kicked me in the foot.Even after all this insult, we decided to not let it ruin our day, and did our best to enjoy the tour. But the tour bus broke down. First the door jammed and did not open, later the bus refused to start. Even after jumpstarts, the bus kept stuttering. So in the end, we were told that we would have to wait another 40 mins for some other bus to come pick us up. This was at 6 in the evening. At this point my mom and I had enough. We called uber to pick us up.Catherine calls us within an hour saying she would gladly refund the money for the cab we took. Needless to say, these were false and empty promises as even though I left her two voicemails regarding our cab bill, and even offered to send the receipt, I have not received any refund.Neither have I received an apology. So, if you are not white, and do not enjoy getting insulted, skip this company
