I really love coming to this place. Its beautiful and clean, a really calming aesthetic. I always work with Deb although I feel comfortable with anybody there. Debbie and I go way back to her time at the Wax Bar. She is professional and thoughtful. But is she is also more than just the person who makes me beautiful, she is such an awesome person to talk to. I adore her! I cant recommend this place enough. My husband has also come here to get his neck waxed and Deb works magic on keeping him looking fresh and clean.

Theory Skin and Wax is my go-to spot for fast, professional, and thorough waxing services. The staff is always courteous and welcoming. I have visited during COVID-19 and felt very safe as they are following all recommended guidelines. The premises were clean, hand sanitizer is provided and payment is cashless. I cannot recommend Melissa enough for waxing services. She has an amazing bedside manner and is a perfectionist in her work.

We live in Crown Hill and I was delighted to see this thoughtful new addition! The space is really cool and boutique has curated products from many small business (which is awesome). Melissa and Deb are wonderful. Melissa did my brows and honestly it brightened and lifted my face - I actually had 2 people ask if I had been on vacation recently and I think it was the brow and lash tint (haha). It would be a good gift for any woman in you life too! So relaxing, easy parking (which is key) and great feeling from staff. Would recommend.

Had my first visit to Theory S&W this morning. The waiting area is spacious and inviting. They carry several lines of high quality skin products. I saw Kandace for waxing. She was warm and professional and provided great service. I highly recommend Theory and will definitely be returning for more skin care services.

Today was my first visit to Theory, and I am definitely going back! I have really sensitive skin and Candace went through the different options of wax and tweezing for brows. She was very knowledgeable and professional, but also great at conversation and keeping me comfortable the whole time. Best part about first time waxing is complementary brow tinting! Ive never tried it before, but Im in love with the results! I cant wait to go back for more services!

Melissa is the best! I used to see Melissa at Wax Bar and followed her to her to Theory. The new space is clean and airy, and parking is much easier! My wax was great - thorough and efficient yet relaxing. I trust her entirely, she knows just the right shape without being too extreme. Highly recommend

Deb is the Brow Queen! I followed her from another salon because I wont let anyone else touch my eyebrows :) Shes an expert with shaping, and is always careful to only take off as much hair as needed (great for someone who overplucked in middle school). I would highly recommend Deb!

I LOVE this place!!! Its super cute and the staff is super friendly. I got a brow and lip wax with Kandace and she did an amazing job. I have been going to Anastasia at Nordstrom but this will be my new place from now on. If you have not tried it you are missing out! 100% recommend.

Look, I havent lived in Ballard for nearly five years now, but I keep making the trek because theyre that good here. I followed Deb from another studio and have been really enjoying the experience at Theory. Easy parking, peaceful, cute space, whats not to love?

The space is beautiful, they sell really cool skin care products and a few accessories out front, and most importantly: they know what they’re doing. Deb is amazing. She’s super nice, funny, careful, and QUICK. She uses products that help soothe my really sensitive skin and I always leave with a little extra pep in my step. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I have been Melissa (the owner)’s client for many years. Super high quality and professional. I go for eye brows (to avoid a mild unibrow situation). Melissa provides just the right balance between clean and not over done. The location has a really nice aesthetic - if that’s your thing - but it’s also just clean and obviously a professional and well managed establishment. 10/10 would recommend.

Such a beautiful space! The energy is welcoming, fun, relaxing, and classy. All the esthetician’s are extremely good at what they do and have lots of experience. Trust is huge when it comes to waxing and skincare and here you can trust the ladies easily.
