Super conscientious about cleanliness, safety, and hygiene. Nice selection of Aveda products. Got my hair cut and colored, got lashes and brows tinted, great service, great results. Totally happy customer!

I really like coming to A Better Day Salon. It feels like family just hanging out and cutting hair and chatting away about everything. Usually I always go to Douglas, but this time I got Aaron, who is as sweet as they come.I really like the shape Aaron gave to my hair. My head is very round and with the good volume up in back I dont look like a ball. I also really like the definition Douglas gave me around my face and ears.I will be back!

I’ve been going there for years. Laura is fantastic and this time we had our toddlers with us. One showed interest in getting his hair cut, when previously he’d hated it. She was able to squeeze in cutting his and his brother’s hair and they both enjoyed it. She interacted with they in a way that put them at ease.

I love this salon. My mother is 91 years old and likes pedicures. This salon has chairs that are low and easy for her to get in. My mom also likes to get her hair done there because they do such a fabulous job. My mom is elderly but likes to be stylish. They do her pedicures and her hair cuts and sets and do a fabulous job. Plus they are so nice and so accommodating. I cant recommend them highly enough.

Love this salon! Perfectly formulated color expertly applied and the best haircut for my curly hair with two cowlicks. I appreciate the no tip policy. Relaxing atmosphere and easy parking. I travel quite a distance to go there and am glad to do it!

Update: I spoke with the owner of the phone, and he was understanding and willing to concede that they made a mistake on their end by misunderstanding how I wanted my haircut. I still dont like how my hair looks, but they offered to try to fix it and are willing to wait to do so once it grows back enough to my last liking. I will update review further then.Initially I was hesitant to give them another try, but after speaking candidly with them, I think it they deserve another shot.______First time I went there, the stylist did a good job. Second time with different stylist, I got a horrible haircut that I did not want. I asked for one length but was given layers and facial framing. I hate how it looks, and I cant even pull it back into a pony tail because of how short the layers are. Not going back after this. Not spending that much money to not be listened to and to have my hair butchered. This is actually the worst haircut Ive ever had in my life.

I love A Better Day Salon! Parking is great, the Aveda products make the place smell great! Laura is smart and charming! Most importantly she cuts my hair perfectly! I have very thick, coarse hair and struggle to find someone who can manage it. Laura never fails!

Laura is fabulous! She gives me a great haircut, great tips for styling my thin hair and a good color procedure to allow me to let my natural color grow out. And my eyebrows are great! Happy to have a new hairdresser who does all she can to make me happy!

I am a regular at this salon for a haircut, but Saturday was the first time I had a massage and it was GREAT! Dion asked questions about where my trouble spots were, listened to what I was saying, and was knowledgeable about the muscle groups in that area. Many of the therapists I have gone to in the past either do not listen to me (i.e. they feel they need to treat the whole body even though I tell them I dont want that), or they put pressure in way that is contrary to where the muscles are and how they connect, in the body. I will definitely be going back.

I have been coming to Douglas to get my hair cut for over 25 years (since I was 7) and have always felt more like one of the family. I was very excited when he opened A Better Day Salon and couldnt have asked for better service. You are welcomed right when you come in and everyone there is so nice and very talented at what they do. I will never go anywhere else to get my hair done and highly recommend this place for anyone who wants wonderful service, top quality and reasonable prices. They are awesome!

Janice and Douglas’ Better Day Salon is a breath of fresh air. They have created a relaxing and quality Salon which fully meets my needs.You are always met with courtesy and warmth. Both my husband and I count on consistently great hair cuts. I have used their massage service and love it. Dion is low-key and can meet all my needs whether it be a sports injury or just relaxation. I also appreciate their wide selection of Aveda products. I used to shop around for my haircuts but now only go to A Better Day Salon.

The service was very good and the haircut was excellent. I mentioned somewhat jokingly to the woman who cut my hair that I needed to look really good because my husband was due back that evening after a long business trip. She did a great job, and as I left she smiled and said that she hoped that my husband would be pleased with the way I looked. Which he was.In summary, A Better Day Salon is conveniently located, has very good service, and well-trained and experienced hair stylists who take the time to figure out what you want.

I love the reasonable prices. Plus they pay their employees a decent rate so they dont allow tipping. Laura cuts my hair and is the first person in all 30+ years to get it how I want it.

I had my first appointment with them. I live 80 miles away. I was warmly greeted, had to wait all of one minute, was treated to a professional and excellent hair cut, reasonable price, and I would drive that 80 miles again for just the experience of being so well-cared for.

Everyone is friendly, genuinely kind, and they do an amazing job with my hair. They always gives me a great cut and color, and consults with me about my hair in ways that are realistic for my life.

I love this salon, the haircut I get is so flattering and the color is great. I have received so many compliments on my hair since I started going here. The stylists create a relaxing atmosphere and they know their stuff.

The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is empathetic. Its nice to get fussed over, especially the scalp shampoo massage and the hot facial towel. I always feel like a handsome devil when I leave there!

Went in for a short bob cut, loved the result! The staff were friendly, Isabelle the stylist listened to what I wanted for my hair and did her magic. The cost was reasonable ($35 for a haircut with shampoo) and first time I ever had service and not tip (felt weird).The location is convenient, plenty of parking, in a commercial center that also houses a library, a Ross, a supermarket and several other retail shops and restaurants.I will come back and recommend the salon to everyone I know.Update: I came back for another hair cut yesterday and this time left very, very disappointed. I asked for a simple bob cut with soft layers (no bangs) and what I got was an uneven chopped off look that no one would think was a salon-serviced cut. Sigh.I called today to ask for Isabelle hoping to get an appointment with her to fix it but was told shes on leave. Double sigh.In fairness, the salon people are nice and maybe I just got unlucky with the stylist I got but....I wont be coming back there anymore and would absolutely NOT recommend it without a buyer beware warning.

A Better Day Salon consistently provides excellent service when I go in to have my hair trimmed. Everyone there--from the receptionist who offers me tea when I walk in the door to the woman who cuts my hair exactly the way I like it--does a superb job.Ive been going there for years and am always pleased with the way I look when I leave. And so is my husband.

Ive been going to Douglas for years for my hair cuts and styling. He has a way with thick hair, and is one of the few folks who can do a razor cut, and does a fantastic job of it!Everyone at A Better Day makes any day Better. I love the heartfelt quality of service.

Douglas is great! I asked for a very unorthodox cut, and he didnt bat an eyelash. The staff at the salon are all very friendly, and I love the no tipping policy. Its a pleasure to go there. Ill definitely be back.

I was quoted $50.00 paid $70.00 and was told by the woman when I came in the 2nd time (I had to go back so she could fix a mistake) that what I was asking for was “unattractive” and “not what they do around here.” Needless to say I won’t be back. Too much money spent to still not have what I want and 1/3 of the hair I went i with.

An excellent salon with very well trained hair stylists. It is not large, providing and intimate feeling. I am glad that this is near my home, and I look forward to the next visit.

I have been going to A Better Day Salon for a year+ and the service has always been good. Many other places do a good job the 1st time, then taper off to indifference by the 2nd or 3rd visit. This has NOT happened with A Better Day Salon yet. I recommend this place to anyone who wants personal service and true care.

Ive been going to Douglas for haircuts for 30-some years and he does an awesome job on my thick, coarse, curly hair. His styling looks terrific from the day he cuts it til the day I come in for my next appointment. His wife Janiece is a fantastic colorist & I look waaaay younger than my years thanks to her talent. I also like their no tipping policy--the only tip they ask for is for us to tell our friends about A Better Day Salon. So go try them out--you wont regret it.

I travel close to fifty miles each way once a month to get my hair done at A Better Day Salon. I have been going to this salon for many years and couldnt imagine going anywhere else. During the recession, I was out of work for 17 months. Out of the blue, I got an interview, but I looked like a tri-color collie. I hadnt been able to afford to color my hair, so some friends donated to my cause and I went to see Janiece. She found a way to fit me in and charged me an exceptionally low price so I could look professional for the interview. I cant say enough good things about everyone at A Better Day Salon. And yes, I got the job. Thank you Janiece!

Went there twice. first time was ok and i was relatively happy. this last time however, im not happy at all. the stylist did not listen to me.the male manager was rude and tried to talk me out of what i was feeling and the female manager was nicer, but still hasnt done what i asked. i understand that the stylist did work. im not arguing that, but the fact is Im still not happy and they did not do what I thought i had asked/agreed too.They probably also dont really know how to work with a younger crowd, everyone in there, aside from the receptionist was older than me.I will not be going back again, ever. If you want someone to do whatever they please to your hair, and charge you full price. then yeah, go. if you want someone to listen, do what you are asking, and walk out happy, i advise to NOT GO THERE.
