If you like free weights training like me, you will love this gym. The gym also has many bodyweight machines that I use at the end of my workout to get some pump or on the days when I am not feeling like working out. You will love the squats area if you like to go heavy on squats or deadlifts. To my delight, they do have garage parking in limited hours i.e. 5.30am to 8am in morning and few hours in the evening. If you own an EV then you will love the free charging stations.Imo, best gym in downtown area if you could avoid peek hours. I prefer early morning and I did not find it that crowed. If any gym that tells you that it is not crowed, they are lying so find the best hours that work for you. Cheers !
Eh, its a gym. Lot of nice equipment and the locker rooms are solid. Crowded after the 9-5 though, so mornings are the move if you dont want to wait for a rack or bench. Nothing exceptional, nothing horrendous.
Hard to beat the price for what you get. Pretty much everything you need for strength training, lots of cardio equipment, and a pool + sauna. Friendly staff and a lot of space to do your thing.
This downtown Seattle location is surprisingly large. The problem for me is that much of the equipment for strength training is very old. The machines arent very smooth and maintenance is being neglected. There are no water bottle filling stations because they dont want to spend the money on updating the fountains. During the pandemic, this means no water at all.
My experience at this location has been nothing but great!!! The staff are all very very nice. Connor and Carolynn both do an amazing job. When I first came to this location Connor actually offered to show me around the gym without my even having to ask. Carolynn just all around brings a super positive vibe to the place. She was quick to help with parking questions for this neighborhood as well. To me the most important thing that a gym needs to provide in order to see the most efficient gains is a high comfort level. This location gives you that, a super positive environment!!! I would have gave it 5 stars but there are a couple stations that could use upgrades. Overall, an excellent gym.
They are really nice when you sign up. Then they become counter leaners who don’t even say hello or good by most times. The rude customer service was the reason I cancelled my membership but they old equipment contributed.I joined a new gym down the street for a little more money but with great equipment and employees who provide good service. I’m glad to pay for good service and equipment.
I wish the hours were extended to help with access to equipment and proximity to others. Ive found the equipment to be satisfactory, and the staff to be open and available. Its just disappointing that I cant get a workout during a time which works better with my schedule. A corporate name change is certainly in order.
Gym is great, always compliant and fast to update to the always changing COVID standards. Staff is so friendly (how do you find such friendly people in Seattle???). I usually workout upstairs so can’t speak to the weights downstairs but all the equipment upstairs works well and is new and clean. Plus the location is great for people in Capitol Hill as well as downtown or SLU
Downtown Seattle 24, been my gym since 2000 or so. Has everything you need weight and equipment wise. No basketball, and Precor elliptical machines are iffy. Easy to get to, free parking from 5pm-10pm. Street parking can be a pain but you can usually find something within walking distance. Staff has always be A+. Great gym :)!
As a chain gym that prides itself on 24 hour membership, hence the name 24 HOUR FITNESS, this location and seemingly all of the locations in the greater Seattle area are not actually open 24 hours. If you arent going to abide by the name of your gym, maybe the organization as a whole needs to change.Highly disappointed and wont ever recommend
Very bad place to workout. the staff is arrogant. the place stinks. the lower level of the gym is suffocating. some of the equipments are so old that needs to be replaces and is dangerous place to workout. its in a shady neighbourhood, my electric bike got stolen from there. join this gym at your own risk
This probably the best gym for the price you pay in Seattle. Some gyms are cheaper but do not have the equipments to do Bench, Deadlift, Squat. 24 hour fitness is best bang for buck.
I went to this gym for a few months pre-COVID. Not sure how COVID has affected its cleaning practices but it smelled like musty old dish towel every time I went there, mainly on the bottom floor. It was always busy too, unless you went really early on a Sunday morning.
Very friendly. Well accommodated. Very busy from 5pm on.
Can we update hours and go back to 24/7 or change the name, as an active duty member I NEED the gym open earlier than 5
Even before covid they stopped being 24hrs, which was a huge selling point to me signing up, now its 9pm and they havent adjusted my rate any. I paid for 24hrs, now Im paying for half the product and still under contract. horrible business practice.
Staff is nice and helpful but cycling machines need to be changed....they are all broken....
Great workout space. Friendly helpful staff
Friendly employees, and theyve done a great job of providing a safe workout location during COVID-19
Would be nice if they changed their crusty old machines.
Best value gym in the area. Significantly cheaper compared to Flow and ProClub.
Took a tour and they arent enforcing social distancing in their weight lifting area at all. Their membership is cheap but medical bills arent. Dont get sick
How is it 24hr fitness yet you close at 9? Thats contradictory
Great prices but customer service could be better
Love it. A good place to refresh myself
Worst gym I have ever came across. the equipments are defective, the place is very smelly, unhygienic and suffocating. They do not even clean the pool water
Edit: shortly after the below review, the barbells and barbell plates were upgraded to brand new Eleiko bars + plates, with Oly barbell stand. Added photo. Thanks! Looking forward to other improvements, however. (Upgraded review from two to three stars).-- original unedited review --This gym is badly neglected. The kettlebells are partially these horrid plastic textured unsuitable for standard work in either hard style or sport style. They are missing the heavier bells. Some of the textured bells are damaged. The slam balls are really worn down and look like they might just explode. The barbell racks are full of worn barbells from junk companies. Some are disturbingly bendy at 300lb- will the break when a serious lifter puts 500lb on??? The bumper plates are deeply worn down.Cardio machines for miles, maybe 14% used, while the barbell racks are at 100% utilization.Look, I know this doesnt have to be the cats meow, but this is way way way WAY under the bar set by, e.g., the Tacoma 24 hour fitness.Id suggest management replace their bars, at the least... a snapped bar is bad for reputation.... American Barbell and Rogue both have great bars at reasonable prices.Id also suggest that (1) another 6-station barbell rack be put in, removing a bank of the barely used cardio machines (2) the plastic kettlebells be thrown in the trash and replaced with reputable powder coat bells(RKC bells are very expensive, dollar per pound!!!) and (3) replace slam balls. Then for aesthetics, having a set of bumpers not almost falling apart would be nice....Looking forward to a response- happy to discuss with a rep!
Great network, splendid service, and healthy environment. The team of workers is supportive and gym contributors are friendly. I haven’t visible all of us who attempts to be “higher” than anyone else. No rely what fitness level you’re at, 24 Hour Fitness welcomes you greatly. Definitely could endorse to anyone no matter what age!
The only commercial gym with Eleiko bars and bumper plates and the allowance to drop the barbell from any height. Cant beat that.
Great place to work out, especially at night when it is practically empty. Has 6 squat racks on the first floor (and more on the bottom floor), which makes this awesome for barbell exercises! I had previously been to the 24 Hr Santa Monica (California) location -- this one is SIGNIFICANTLY better than that.
Walter Chamber is a great coach! He clearly has a lot of knowledge in the field. He is very positive, encouraging and very good at explaining the benefits of every workout. He has also taught me exercises that would improve my volleyball performance, so if you play sports he has knowledge in helping you improve there as well. I would definitely recommend him if you are trying to crush some goals!
Review for Walt Chambers personal trainer:Walt has been a great coach and personal trainer since I first started working with him a few months ago, and I highly recommend him to anyone else looking to work on their personal fitness. He is knowledgeable, motivational and instructive in his workouts, and Ive been very happy with the progress Ive seen so far. Walt is willing to answer every question and demonstrate proper form, and is focused on creating the right plan for your needs. As a beginner, I was unsure of how to do many different kinds of movements, but with Walts help Ive been able to learn the proper ways of working out and eating healthy, and its improved my confidence as a result. Im looking forward to continuing with Walt and everything that lies ahead!
Great place so far. Downstairs smells when its busy and its busy a lot.But otherwise its fairly clean and pretty inexpensive. Friendly staff and fun group classes.
Good place to workout and a friendly staff. Most 24 hours in the Seattle area have all changed their times from 4 am to 12 am. For those who work late and want 24 hours there are anytime fitness near by. If you want more for your money and want the same hours just try Golds or LA.
Great gym! As a weightlifter, I love that they have 6 squat/deadlift stations on the main floor and 2 more squat racks downstairs. I wish they had more benches for bench press though, I go at one of the least busy times and still have to occasionally wait for one of the 3 benches to open up.Otherwise all good. Not expensive, great location, massive gym, and friendly employees.
As other reviewers have pointed out, the gym can be quite dirty and it usually smells bad. The hot water is intermittent so when taking a shower it can be unpleasantly cold. And its always way too crowded at the times I prefer to go (late morning/noon).There were issues with my billing that were not made clear to me while signing up. In an attempt to keep it short, after my initial two year Costco membership ended (a good deal for a less than mediocre gym) I was assured verbally by the manager on duty that my rate would never go up when becoming a member paying on a monthly basis. I joined using their computer which did not stipulate anything other than the monthly rate I was aware of at the time. It turns out you have to join their website by creating an account to then see your contract. I was not made aware of this when I signed up. After two price increases to my membership and attempting to address this with a manager on staff (but of course to no avail) I filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau. During the dispute process I asked to speak with the manager who assured me that my rates would never go up when I joined monthly. The person I spoke with refused my request and my BBB complaint was left unresolved.Only a small portion of the front desk staff has any grasp of what it means to work in a customer service based industry. Kudos to them for their professionalism. But sadly, their efforts are completely negated by the majority of apathetic and just plain nasty front desk personnel, several (not all) trainers and even some of the management staff. Forget about bringing concerns or complaints to the front desk. From my experience, they cant be bothered and they dont even try to hide their irritation. Ive been at this facility for years and only had two complaints. Once for someone smoking in the mens locker room and another recently for a piece of equipment that wreaked of old putrid urine. I was basically told to clean it up myself.Isnt it great? Not only do my rates go up when I was informed verbally by a manager that they wouldnt but I also get to serve as their maid and clean up other peoples bodily fluids. Thankfully by the next day the urine odor was completely gone. Maybe the employees of 24 Hour found another paying member to do their job for them?
Very good layout, awesome pool, sauna and hot tub. It gets really busy sometimes, but it is downtown. Staff are down to earth and helpful. Enough free weights and machines that you never have to wait.
The bad: Downstairs weight area smells awful and has poor air circulation, making it a hot, humid and smelly place to workout. Overcrowded at almost any time of the day, making it difficult to use what you need to without waiting forever. The area with the water fountains downstairs has smelled like hot garbage for months. The good: friendly staff, cheap (see above though, as this place is a perfect example of getting what you pay for).
Looking forward to joining next week.Price is right.Strengthening classes and yoga classes available. Hours of operation 5AM to 9PM
Only if I can give 0 stars.CHARGE FRAUD! BE AWARE! HIDDEN FEES! SECRET CHARGE!This place charged me 3 times more than it should for the first 2 month membership. At first its a one time signup fee for 2 months. After just a month, they started charging me a month of membership again. Calling the so-called team members didnt help at all. They seemed to be very OK with me canceling my membership, which I did.BE AWARE before you sign up for anything. They basically dont show you the full contract youre signing and trick you to sign. Its not a big amount of money so Im not going to loop my lawyer in this time. But please be aware that this place just wants to steal your money. Look else were.
When are u guys going back to being open 24hrs a day
Just to be able to work out at anytime one of the the day or night is great for a person who has an hectic schedule. The pool is awesome and so are the employees. I would suggest getting a membership as soon as possible and they even have $0 start up fees at this very moment.
Super convenient location to downtown, and the facility is certainly kept up better than most other 24 hour fitnesses I have been to. The pool downstairs has 4 lanes and is not very busy in the early AM (around 5:30) which is nice. They have a cross-training area upstairs that is pretty small and gets crowded quickly with personal trainers using it, but nice if you can use it when they’re not there. Upstairs has a nice cycle studio and a large free fitness room with mirrors, hardwood floors, and weights and such you can use and do whatever you want with.
I was entering the fitness center when 24 hour employee pulled my backpack to stop me after I got the green light to enter and was swiftly walking to my 5 a.m. trainer appointment. Apparently my membership had expired, and no one had told me. It had been showing YELLOW to the staff for at least a month, then RED for the last week - and no one paid attention until - with headphones in my ears - I was physically pulled back by a trainer b/c I had expired. As instructed by my trainer, I went and bought a new $650 Costco membership - as now this location is a higher-end SPORT location - even though the facility is always dirty and is pretty run down. When I took the Costco membership in, they said they wouldnt honor it, because my last two years was also a Costco membership and they couldnt do 2 consecutive - ITS IN THE FINE PRINT, they said. Well, my last two memberships were back to back Costco memberships and no problem, I said.I guess someone looked the other way. Youll have to speak with the manager Monday -Friday; you cant work out this morning.NICE, 24 Fitness! Great customer service all the way around. Im an Olympic Athlete who has been a member for 10 years - no longer! No, NO, NO. Run the other way - time for a new gym.
The room downstairs right before the locker rooms has a mold-like smell for over two weeks. Someone needs to look into it. Can’t even go in there.
I have been going to this 24 hour location for a few months now and have enjoyed it since I have found a decent time to go. Its big enough to still be decent when its during the rush hours. The gym itself is mostly clean for being open all day everyday. Only thing I would have to complain about is the paper towels always seem to be out, and its not just one but multiple will go out at the same time. Parking could also be available a little earlier on the weekdays but I do not think that is anything 24 can fix. Overall its a good gym to get fit and be happy! Staff is super nice and helpful.
Plenty of good and well maintained machines.Good ventilation and temperature control.Never too crowded- even at peak times.Thats all I ask of a good gym...
Looks nice so far. I will miss having my own television on my own treadmill and watching the news in the morning. They dont give you your own. Nice, big, private shower stalls where you dont all groom together.
Great facility with beautiful staff.
This used to be my regular gym but about a year and a half ago until I switched locations Because of work. I recently started coming here again regularly and I’ve noticed a lot has changed for the better. The gym is much cleaner and much more organized. The staff also seems to be much more friendly and welcoming. I’m digging the changes. Good to be back downtown
I enjoy working out very early in the morning. great place to work out without distractions
Very reasonable prices, especially if you negotiate with them (they are quite flexible). Try to find someone to recommend you there to get rid of the initiation fee. The staff is extremely friendly and very, very skilled. They want you to get the best out of your time at the gym and are a lot of fun to talk with. Though the gym is very large (and the photos show tons of machines), just after work hours is very crowded. You will almost always have to wait for someone to finish their sets before taking up a machine. Besides the crowd, the facilities are great.
Been the same since like 2000. Love it though. Feels to me like Rocky II in there when I work out. You know, all those workouts Rocky had to do to beat Hulk Hogan. Smell of sweat is part of equipment. Free weights are my favorite. Loud people in the gym, just have to deal with them. First gym I went to as an adult on a free trial. Got my first membership from 24 hour fitness ultra sport. So, definitely a starter gym.
Most dishonest chain of fitness centers. Called them to cancel my subscription and they confirmed that they had, but I still found charges on my credit card for two months afterwards. When I reached out to their customer service to get this rectified, they refused to act justly. I will never give 24 Hour Fitness any money ever again.
The good:- Fairly big gym with variety of (not so new) equipment. There are (in my opinion way too many) cardio machines, a small functional training area with uneven floor, and 6 squat racks/platforms upstairs. Downstairs, there are free weights, Hammer Strength and other machines, and a pool that I have never used.- The pricing is the cheapest I could find in Seattle, especially if you buy the Costco 2-year membership deal.- The location can be convenient. The not so good:-This is the most overcrowded gym I have ever been to. I normally go at the “least” crowded times but there are still so many people in the gym any time I go there.Getting to use a bench is particularly difficult sometimes. And unfortunately, the benches are bolted down to the ground so you can’t move them to avoid the ceiling bright lights hit you directly in the eye as you use the bench.-Cleanliness overall is very poor, in my opinion. Walking downstairs, to where most of the weights are, always welcomes you with a very unpleasant odor. Same thing for the locker room.- I haven’t suffered from this myself, but there are always signs posted by the management saying to be careful because there are theft problems in the locker room.Unfortunately, for me the bad outweighs the good at this 24 Hour Fitness location. I have been to other locations on the East coast and those look like a completely different facility (5 stars deserved). I will be switching gyms as soon as I can afford a more expensive membership. But if you don’t care that much about cleanliness and a heavily frequented gym, this could be a great place for you as this is probably the cheapest membership in Seattle that will have all or most of the equipment you will ever need.
20hr fitness isnt what I signed up for, nor what Im paying for...The lack of attention is directly related to management and higher ups.If its consistant that employees arent working out, but management remains. Then there is a problem with management.
Lots of space, machines and equipment and great hours. Parking is available until 10pm on weeknights. The pool is one of the nicer pools at a 24 hr fitness Ive used and its 25 meters which is an odd length (as 25 yds is short course) but its so much better than any of the other 24 hr pools Ive used which are often one or two lanes, or odd distances. Only downside...locker rooms are run down and not the cleanest. Gym is often crowded so better to go on off hours.
Great location near my office. I found a fantastic trainer here and it changed my life. Im grateful for this place.
Nice new set of power racks. Broad range of equipment but could use more benches. Trainers are helpful. Showers and locker rooms could use some attention / improvement and theft is becoming a bit of a problem.
Awesome Gym! Very Clean! Happy Member since 2015!!Lets just say I have been going to this gym for awhile now while intimidated at first, now its like my second home. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgable!! Chase is always friendly and able to answer any questions I may have. I have never had a problem with cleaning supplies being in stock. I will say some members hog the weights during peak hours although if you ask they are willing to share. You guys rock! Keep up the good work!
The gym is an average gym... Ok clean, but has everything you need to get a good workout in. Nothing special, and for a downtown Seattle location needs a major renovation. It is a good place to go if you have a membership and want to get a workout in... Just dont expect exceptional anything.
Has plenty of equipment and much to offer. Classes are held with plenty of lockers nearby. Main floor is mostly cardio equipment with a handful of lockers. Downstairs is a pool and hot tub and an assortment of weight equipment, the free weights having been recently replaced. There is lockers available both in the changing room for the pool and just outside of it. Having built in combination locks for the main lockers means not having to bring your own lock.
Good deal, fantastic trainers! Its always a little dirty/dusty in the equipment that is bolted down. I havent used the restroom for years, as Im usually in and out quickly.
I went to this gym for the first time Saturday. It was fabulous!!!! The workers were great. The patrons were even better, people were fun and considerate. It was a great work out environment.
Not sure why people are putting 5stars here they were probably paid or dont work out properly. I travel for work and this is the worse gym I have ever been to, actually made me write a review. This gym is failing its customers, just takes your money and delivers poor service. Most of the Equipment is broken, the temperature isnt regulated, restrooms unkept. Not a balanced number of equipment so everyone has to work Upper body and wait for the few lower body machines 1 millions stationary stairs, bike ect machines upstair thats usually empty....I swear literal disappointment that gym. Whomever owns it just saw a way to make money bought the cheapest equipment and never seems to replace anything with all the money they are racking up. And no parking so you better get ready to pay your membership plus parking Everytime its call 24 hour fitness but the times are not even 24.
Staff is friendly and helpful, but the gym its self is kinda gross. No one wipes down the machines when theyre done, the space is cramped, old, and smells bad but it gets the job done and there are always machines open. If I you want a fancy gym, you gotta pay fancy prices!
Cheater, they dont disclose the agreement not even they informed about the cancellation and they were in hurry to sign up, after 4 moths Im trying to cancel my membership as I get the new house with a gym. Now 24 hours fitness charging me more than $200 for cancellation which was not even one office staff informed me during the registration .Careful with them .
I broke my leg and asked them to freeze my account since I couldn’t go to the gym and did not want to be charged. Post surgery, I called them and asked them to freeze my account temporarily. They told me I had to go down to the gym in person and show them my broken leg before they could do anything.
This gym is disgusting. Every day the toilets are clogged. It often smells like a sewer. Youre lucky if paper towels are stocked. In addition to being filthy, its packed to the gills at all times. Good luck getting in on the equipment you want! The trainers are busy hitting on the more attractive members. Its incredibly loud. They will bilk you out of all the money they can. Dont go here, for your own sake.
Good equipment, but staff at counter can be great or awful, especially the girl that plays with her braids in the early mornings. She doesnt even acknowledge anyone who speak to her! Most of the previous morning attendants have been much much better than her laziness
Fitness always been very important especially being an athlete! So I like the fact that I’m able to come anytime to workout, hit the Stream room, pool then jacuzzi! Thanks & friendly staff!
This place is terrible. The gym itself is gross and totally understocked for gear. I also got locked into a membership and when I realized (in the first month) I wanted to cancel they said it automatically would cancel at the end of the year but did not. I noticed a few months after the year mark and brought it up but they only refunded me for the current month and yearly membership fee they just charged me.
A solid gym with great staff. If you are looking for a luxury gym with hot towels and gourmet smoothie bar this isnt it. However, if you are looking for a clean gym with everything you could possibly need to get a solid workout this is the gym for you. I hear a lot of people complain that they are out of cleaning products, this has NEVER been my experience in the two years I have been going here. My only complaint would be to get rid of some of the unused machines and get another squat rack. Overall, a great gym for such a good price.
Great hours, but not maintained well. Patrons are slobs with weights not put back. Locker room is dirty and lockers have hair and dirt inside. Bring your own music because the overhead music is all the pop songs you dont want to hear. Good location and good potential with pool, basketball, sauna, steam, classes, cardio, kids club, and weights.
I will giving it 3*s is because they are progressing and they just brought New weight. Other wise well deserve 2*s. 1. Always out of order: Elevators, toilet paper, napkins, toilets, water fountain, water drain.Stuff, friendly.
This is the dirtiest gym Ive ever been in. The downstairs smells of mold and body odor. The locker room is always dirty, the bathroom floor is often flooded with toilet/urinal water. The equipment is often broken.
BEWARE: security issues!! My husband had his bag stolen from his locker even though he had locked it using the lock provided by their staff. When asked if they can give access to security cameras on site to identify the suspect or help us identify the suspect somehow, they did not cooperate (we dont know why?!). We are left with no trace, no effort made to help us locate the stolen items and no compensation for this incident.
I am not going back to this particular gym again because they have a Horrible Management!👍🏻 I joined last year on a yearly commitment contract. I paid first and last month (Jan & Dec).👍🏻 I had a free assessment in the very first week👍🏻 I took 6 sessions with a personal trainer and it was great!👍🏻 I love LesMills classes and this gym offers that👍🏻 Obviously available 24/7👍🏻 Swimming pool is always available. It was my favorite part in the whole building👎🏻 I canceled my membership at their reception and was charged the following two months for no reason! I asked for a refund and they said we can’t! Why the hell am I supposed to pay for the management team mistakes? I didn’t use the gym for the months I was charged for!👎🏻 Old and dirty machines and mats👎🏻 The weight area downstairs from the main floor is awful! It smelled really bad the whole year and I heard it’s been the same way for a few years now👎🏻 The gym is always packed with tons of people especially between 5-8pm. I always have to wait for others to finish their exercise before I can use the machines/dumbbells👎🏻 Sound system in the LesMills classes is always broken👎🏻 Restroom is super small and it’s the dirtiest I have seen my whole life👎🏻 A lot of creepers in the swimming pool area. I see them everyday sitting on the bench for a few hours not doing anything but watch people using the hot tub and swimming pool👎🏻No towel service, which is expected since the gym is too crowded
• Every single one of these stars are for David Bidner my personal trainer@ 24hr fitness. David helped me start my weight loss/ fitness journey over a year ago. Im now 80lbs down and able to do things I havent done since I was a kid (like run). David showed me the correct form, posture and exercises needed to strengthen my body in the safest most efficent way. He is consistent, knowledgeable and laser focused. David showed me how to kick my nutrition plan into high gear so that I actually began to see results. David used his extensive physical therapy background to modify my routines to keep me safe while maximizing my results. I never got the feeling he was just doing his job. Fitness is obviously Davids passion. He shared my gains and my losses like they were his own. Now that Im working out on my own, I can take everything Ive learned and continue my journey with confidence Thank you David!
Really busy after work but has everything you need. Mornings are a lot better. I got a coupon at Costco so it ends up being $16/month. Have to pay up front and get two year contract though
Be careful! They charge 2 month ahead and no refund. I didnt like the place because it is not well maintained. So I cancelled my membership right away after I have used half a month. But they refused to refund 1 dollar although there was 1.5 month left.
Great equipment, friendly helpful staff... the trainer is very talented and had a great knowledge... he is very friendly and the atmosphere of this place is just awesome..
Great Gym!! I enjoy swimming exercises and to relax in the jacuzzi after! Great staff and clean environment!
Cleanness is a big problem. Locker room is dirty and smelly. Used bottles & towels on the floor. What’s worse is that there is no hot water in the shower room in my first two visits. No shower gel provided.
Poor customer service at the front desk for both Northgate location and seattle downtown location, comparing to la fitness, 24 hour management need pay attention to feedback and improve the service. I will quite membership now and join la fitness although little bit far
Visited from out of town for a quick workout. This gym has very friendly and helpful employees and all of the equipment you could want.
Not bad for the price. Older and not too clean. Most just go to play with their phones, but some actually workout. If the young people would just put that phone down, they might get results.
Cumerolled my tissum. This is the place to go. Sweet Dave knows how to do it, just raze it and blaze it. If you find some quarters in the machine, hit me up.
Truly poor footprint utilization (I.e. theres a line for the free weight equipment everyone wants to use from 4pm-10pm every night while niche cardio / weight machine equipment sits empty) resulting in a basic 45 minute free weight routine taking at least 90 minutes. Tonight I arrived at 8:40pm and there was a 3 deep line to deadlift--Recommend you plan a good 20 minute wait to use power lifting stations if you go during the work week. Sometimes you can snag a deadlift bar or power rack downstairs but you risk losing your spot upstairs. Weekend evenings are pretty good.
The front desk may not be the warm welcome you would feel from a friend or home in the cold of our lives. however it is fast rest stop to good health something 24 hr fitness may not see. its staff not friendly or friends we see the truth in fitness and our dream to be.
This is a decent gym and you cant beat the hours. The staff is always nice. I wish they would update the drinking fountains and machines a bit more.
Because 0 is not a choice. I bought two lifetime memberships over a decade ago for myself and my spouse for approximately $2000. Long story short, because I only had to pay 1X per year, my account went overdue by 60 days (owed $25). As a result they cancelled my membership, didnt pause it until i paid, cancelled it. Seriously the shadiest thing I have ever experienced from a company in my life. Everyone I talked to on a monthly plan said they were notified the day of if they were late on payment. They only notified me when it was over 60 days overdue and said because it was so delinquent it was cancelled. I had gone several times and was never told. I contacted store manager, regional manager and corporate. No one would make it right. If anyone has a legal background and wants to start a class action...lets do it!!!
Nice multi level gym. Newer equipment, and fairly clean. Downstairs weight room smells ... potent, you cant miss it (unless you are fortunate to have a stuffy nose that day). Locker rooms are gross. Showers had this undeniable blob/mark that I assume will never come out. Bathrooms are... you know what? Just dont go in the bathrooms.
It is a nice place to workout, has lots of equipment and machines - Not super new, but not super old. The great majority of machines are in very good working condition. However, the whole building does have a lingering smell of sweat, so be prepared. In general, it is not super dirty... Except for the mens locker, which is short of disgusting, but it helps me practice holding my breath for longer times. This is a gym where typical lunks work out, so expect to have muscle heads hoarding one or two machines at the same time; especially benches and squat racks. Today I noticed some guys reserve the squat rack by putting their water bottle while they go stretch for 10 minutes before using the machine. Also, most people dont wipe the equipment, so make sure to wipe each machine before use, unless of course you like the feeling of strangers sweat against your skin (hey, no judgement here... (@_@)/ just be careful not to slide off of a machine). On the positive side, there are many classes to choose from - I havent done any of them, but it is nice to know that I have options. Most trainers are very nice and approachable, but theres always that guy who seems to only train other muscle heads and hoard space and equipment.
This place smells like mold. Parking is also a huge hassle. Other than that its pretty good. I couldnt get passed the smell though, so I cancelled.P.S. press 7 to talk to a person when you call this location.
Pricy! Its a good gym and I like the classes. The pool needs to have a free swim area tho. Im not so much into doing laps. Lots of machines and weights. The staff is very friendly too.
Im glad there is a 24 hour fitness in Seattle, but the location could be better since this is located right in the traffic heavy area. Parking can be hard to find and the gym validates parking in the garage for specific hours. Also kind of small to be considered a sport gym level. Can get really busy during the hours of 6pm-8pm.
Equipment is pretty old overall but usually works. No towels supplied, so they downgraded it from a Supersport to just Sport, and lowered fees a few dollars. Staff is usually nice and helpful. Overall place is pretty clean but the showers can be a little sketchy sometimes. Also they love to run out of hot water at peak times.
This place is TERRIBLE. I wish I had listen to the other poor reviews. After being fed up with how gross it is and with guy bros hogging the free weights and bothering me when I’m just trying to work out in peace (you’ve been warned, ladies!), they refuse to cancel my membership. Even though I think it’s bs they won’t cancel my year-long membership because I’m not ok with being somewhere that’s disgusting and cool with harassment, they won’t even let cancel my *reoccurring* membership for next year until they charge me for it in 8 months. What kind of company doesn’t allow you to choose not to renew your membership to their service?! Total scam. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
