He is very nice man, fixed my car in no time and was super helpful. Clearly experienced as well. Will go again!
Really nice honest guy, fast service even though he was working by himself.
Excellent job, friendly & professional staff. Fast service right on time. You can bring these guys anything you have.Fair price.
Highly recommend this auto shop! I brought my car in for a leak in the trunk and a tire issue. Bay showed me where the rubber seal was likely leaking and cleaned it off free of charge. He also quickly found a nail in my tire and fixed it up for me. Was charged very modestly for the services; a nice change after going to so many car shops that overcharge!!
Bay is a great guy and does excellent work. He is super busy and it can be hard to get in but well worth the wait if you have a few days
I thought I found the perfect mechanic. After a few hundred in parts he advised I purchased and a go ahead that I could drive it a few hours south without worry, my truck overheated suddenly an hour from Seattle. Pulled over on the freeway side, I discovered coolant had boiled away, brand new high quality radiator was cracked and leaking, and head gasket/s were blown! After barely making it to a safe spot off the freeway, I paid another few hundred to have it towed back to Bays auto in Ballard. The owner was upset that I towed it there(miscommunication during multiple phone calls..he has strong non-english accent). He told me he would not work on it and that I should go to a nearby shop that does head gaskets. I called that shop multiple times and got no answer. I had no choice but to drive it a good 2 miles back to my home, with white/blue smoke billowing out the back and pulling over twice to refill with water and cool down. I think I damaged the engine during that drive so now I need a whole new engine. So my slightly misbehaving vehicle which I had been driving around for months as is with no major problems, is now a giant paper weight after visiting Bays Auto. He even made up a story about his brother in laws mother dying and then changed it to HIS mother later on. I dont know whats true. Maybe its all a misunderstanding but Im completely screwed now, and before I went there I had a working vehicle worth 6 grand. Now I have a 500 dollar piece of metal and 600 in new parts and tow bill for nothing.
After the starter went out on my car, I took it to an auto shop (not Bays) and was given (in my opinion) a steep quote. I decided to call around to try and find a better deal, and after speaking to Bay over the phone, he told me he could fix the starter for $250 LESS than what the other shop wanted to charge. He even said hed order the replacement part after hanging up so that work could be started as soon as I dropped off my car. Fast forward 1.5 hours after dropping it off, I get a call from Bay saying that the starter had been replaced and my car was ready for pickup. Talk about fast! I would HIGHLY recommend bringing your car here for repairs!
Seriously the most honest and speedy auto repair in Seattle. You can bring these guys anything and they will fix it. Highest recommendation!
Bay took a look at my car last minute when I was having a mysterious odor coming into my car. Turns out it was a dumb mistake of my own-- in the meantime he did change my valve cover gasket and spark plugs for an absolutely reasonable price within hours. I would HIGHLY recommend this place as an honest and efficient shop -- definitely now my go to for anything car related!
These guys are honest and hard working. I can alway rely on Bay to give me an honest quote and make sure I get what is needed to be fixed and what I can wait for. Never had a problem with parts or faulty fixing used parts or new. Ive got great deals with them and fair prices with repairs and they are nice as well, being friendly with all who come by and making time when they can.
Checked out a used car and advised not to buy it because of too much rust. Charged me just 25.
Bay seemed to know what he was doing right away. I had an electronical problem and he immediately knew it wasnt the alternator on seconds. He gets things done right away and is honest, which I think is the most important thing to look for in a automatic.
These guys provide great value for regular working people.
I cant tell you much I love Bays. Seriously legit repair skills, great service and decent prices...what more could you want? I took my van in for brakes and it happened to have a loose front fender because it was missing a few bolts. They fixed it at no charge! Excellent garage!
This is the one good auto shop in all of Seattle and maybe all of the greater Seattle area as well. We are blessed to have such genuine hard workers helping out our community. They dont try to rip you off here.

Bay is honest and the value is phenomenal. Very quick turn around times. Highly recommended
Great guys and quality service for decent price.Definitly not the cheapest but i have seen alot of other repair shop which dont do as good job and charge a LOT higher prices then this guys...
It was done in just a few hours. Bay is very professional and detailed in his work. We highly recommend his shop!
Very fast, efficient and knowledgeable.
These are my go to guys for everything I cant solve or handle. They are exceptionally good at older Japanese cars and very affordable and reliable. Things I didnt ask to have fixed seem to be working again. Bay and his crew are all top shelf mechanics and get intensely busy, so always have a little patience and you will be rewarded with an affordable bill and a mechanic who cares about their work and your car! Love these guys!
We’ve found our go-to repair shop! We’ve had a starter issue and Bay gave us options to repair it. We didn’t have to spend a lot and he even repaired it the same day, we didn’t have to leave the car. It was done in just a few hours. Bay is very professional and detailed in his work. We highly recommend his shop!
Bays is great. I called this morning at 9 AM telling them what the problem was with my car. I was asked if I can bring it in now. I brought it in, he ran the scan and told me what he suspected was wrong. I left my vehicle, and a few hours later he called me back confirming what needed fixing/replacing and gave me a very fair quote. I confirmed price was fair and he had it fixed two hours later. He also asked if I wanted to have an oil change as well as my oil looked dirty (it was in fact overdue for an oil change). When I came to pick up my vehicle he showed me the old parts he had replaced, showed me how they were broken and took me through why they needed replacing. Honest, straight-forward mechanic with reasonable prices. Seriously, whats not to love?
Good service always a good job
Super service. My car is running great!
I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey Touring and was there last Friday to replace, timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, spark plugs and all the associated bearings. Even with busy schedule he was able to accommodate my vehicle AND he was the quickest and least expensive of all the shops I called around. He spent time thoroughly going through every parts he took out to explain what was wrong with each of them. He doesnt try to sell more than what really needs fixing. Bay will be my mechanic from this point on. Honest mechanic at a very fair price. Highly recommend trying this place before shopping around
Good value, honest people
I had to have my car towed because it refused to start; the engine wouldnt even turn over. The moment we arrived, a mechanic directed us to the last available bay, popped the hood, and tightened down bolts on the battery. It started perfectly after that, and there was no charge. Easily the best experience Ive ever had with a mechanic!
Looked a little sketch but turned out to be a great experience. Friendly staff and good pricing.
Bays is the best. Were been taking our cars there for over a decade and weve always had great service and affordable prices! They are honest and trustworthy.
My go-to place. Have worked on all of my cars. Expert repair. Reasonable prices. Gets it right the first time.
Very pleased with my first visit to Bays. I had odd popping/grinding noises coming from the front of my car. A different shop quoted me several thousand dollars of repairs that did not address the root cause. Bay checked it out and found that some ties were loose from a strut repair job that a buddy and me did ourselves awhile back. He fixed the noises for under a hundred bucks. Honest mechanics like this are tough to find. Ill definitely be back.
I brought my car here because Im having a strange problem where water is seeping up through the floor of my car when it rains. I explained this problem on the phone, made an appointment, then brought my car in and explained it again. Before even looking at my car, the mechanic tells me hes almost positive Ill need a new water pump for $650. Im skeptical but I leave the car for him to look at. He calls back a few hours later and says I do indeed new a new water pump. I go over there to talk to him a little more, and as I start asking a few questions it becomes clear that he has no idea why I brought the car in. He doesnt seem to remember that I told him water is seeping through the floor. He tells me thats impossible (a quick google search shows that this is a real problem that certain models do have). The $650 job hes telling me I need actually has nothing to do with the problem I brought the car in for. I have no reason to believe I actually need a new water pump, as nothing seems wrong with the car other than the water leak. Im thoroughly confused about this entire interaction. I dont know why he didnt listen to me, and why he wasted both of our time. He got angry with me and stormed off. I tried this place out because of all the positive reviews, and all I can say is I do not have a good feeling about this place. I do not have the sense that they are honest, or organized about how they run their business. I hope Im wrong, but beware.
Bay and his team are amazing! Best mechanics ever❤️
Due to language barrier, you may need some more communication here, but Bay is actually a really rare honest mechanic. I fully trust him!
Bays is great!
Experienced mechanics, great prices and awesome customer service!
Really great, comprehensive service. I took my truck in to have the starter replaced and they fixed my emergency brake light as well, for free.
Wanted to charge me 10$ to tighten my lug nuts.
Good mechanic, bit of a language barrier. Knows his stuff.
Honest and cheap
Honest. Quick. Generous. Fair.
I was having some issues with my car, he took a look at it and the problem seemed to go away. He didnt charge me for the diagnostic and I could tell he cared about his customers, I will definitely be back if I have any problems with my car in the future.
Ok
