Spent the morning here with my best friend on my last day in Washington. I had Alyse for a body polish and my friend had Sonja, whom she said had magic hands for her polish and facial.After my polish I waited an hour before my next two treatments before finding Alyse in the hall to find out was going on. She was gracious and told me she’d find my therapist.The ambiance was wonderful, for the price I’m a bit disappointed in the quality of treatment from the therapist and it was a bit odd to have a facial without warm steaming towels on the face, it did feel like a cold paper towel was being used to take off the product. But my friend absolutely loved her facial.So it was a bit hit and miss. Customer service was on point besides the long wait but quality of treatment for me wasn’t worth the price paid.

I was about 20 minutes late because of how I didn’t anticipate how hard it would be to find a parking space as well as doing laundry. When I went the place was beautiful and the waxer was super nice. However she did rush through my waxing because she said they were closing soon which left me with a few hair still present. Besides that, they were great.

Love this place! Great services - I go for everything from facials, nails, and massages to sugaring and waxing. The Lotus is also amazing for anyone struggling with bikini area ingrown hairs. I suggest going to Donna for everything that you can!!

For those who are stressed, tired and tired of being stressed: this is a place for you. I liked the calming and quiet atmosphere. The way people greet you and talk to you makes you realize you are here to relax. The service was courteous, the room cosy, very clean and warm. I had a deep tissue massage - and yes, it was worth the money. I had a catch/ pain in my neck building up for months. It was gone right after the massage, and has not returned so far. I walked away feeling lighter and happier.Pro tip: of you are considering a service, but it seems a pricey side take a look at Groupon. They have occasional deals that cut the prices but not the quality of service

The woman who did my pedicure wrecked 2 cuticles and made them bloody. Painful! 😣 Also it seemed overpriced for the mani/pedi. Luckily I had a Groupon but still... not worth the hype imo.

Moment you walk into this spa your stress level and blood pressure drop dramatically due to the ambience they provide. To top that they make our safety a priority, so I felt very safe being here during these difficult times. Once I was with my massage therapist she really was wonderful. Asked questions and wanted to know my concerns and if I needed any particular area to work on. She applied the perfect amount of pressure. She was fantastic! I will most certainly return in the future

Got a lovely Perfectly Polished mani pedi from TeeNee today and it lived up to its name. Very relaxing and my nails look a-mazing. Will definitely be back to see TeeNee!

The service was great. I like my facial massage, but everything else just small, old and pricy. 50 mins classic facial costed $215 not including tax and tips, there’s no shower/steam room able to use even you book full body treatment. The room for massage was so small, pretty sure is smaller than my parking lot. If the price range you’re acceptable, then I would recommend spa service in fourseason hotel Seattle, don’t expect here too much.

My fiancé and I recently had a couples massage as part of celebrating our engagement and staying at the Fairmont. We agree with a previous review that the price tag is luxury but the quality of the massage definitely was not. We would not go back for future services after this experience.

This was our first Mani/pedi in quite a while. That being said, the process was amazing and super simple. He felt very welcome from the minute you walked in the doors and set your appointment. We’re actually staying in the hotel, and just decided that now is as good a time as any to get one. Our booking was pretty easy and they had availability within 24 hours.I think one of the best things about the Spot is Teenee. She’s nothing but amazing. She is such A happy, bubbly and positive person. She dresses to kill, and absolutely gave us one of the best manicure/pedicure we’ve ever had. She was attention detailed, and spent more than an hour on each of us. She said her nickname is “baby feet maker “and she absolutely lived up to this reputation. By the end of our pedicure, there was no hard service left on our feet aside from our nails! Absolutely a great way to pamper yourself at any time.Our only negative is it in the spot is in Seattle and not Portland where we live! If ever we could have someone as great as Teenee in Portland, that would be our weekly spot to go to. Definitely worth it, ask for her by name and you for sure will not be disappointed. She puts her passion and energy into every single one of her clients, and you can definitely feel it.

It’s a crime that I haven’t written a review until now. I’ve been visiting Penelope for Brazilian Sugars for many years now. I used to go to a lovely woman who no longer works for them and upon her departure found Alyse. Alyse is the kind of person that you drive the extra 30 mins for or move your other appts around to see. She is always smiling, so kind and genuine, and has the best giggle out there.I now getting many different services here, beyond sugaring, and I can say without hesitation that is because of Alyse. How very lucky us patrons of Penelope are to have her!

This was our first time at this spa. Staff was friendly and understanding when we canceled one of our services last minute. The products and price tag may be luxury but the level and quality of service wasnt.Unsire if this was due to knew covid restrictions or staff that were inexperienced? Left a bit to be desired. Our services included the Penelope Cure package and a Couples Massage. Cancelled one facial and didnt partake in the red light portion of the package. For $761, I expected a different experience.

I want to give this place 5 stars so badly but poor communication and scheduling issues has prevented me from being able to do so. Unfortunately my first time attending the salon left a poor impression. They were running a Valentines Day 2021 sale for a compliementary Jade Pod session with any hair appointment. I decided treating myself on Valentines Day with a blowout and a Jade Pod would be a great way to spend the afternoon so I tried scheduling from almost 2 weeks ahead of time starting on 2/01/21 when I saw the ad. I called almost every day for a week and a half with no answer or call backs. On 2/08 I sent an email to their booking email with no response. Finally on 2/10 I got through but of course by then they were fully booked for 2/14 so I was forced to schedule for the day before but asked them to note that if anyone canceled on Sunday 2/14 to call me and let me know as I wanted my hair done before my date. I was contacted the morning of my appointment due to the snow storm and asked if we could push my appointment back an hour, luckily I live downtown so I adjusted. I was having a hard time getting there due to the snow so I called to let them know I would be 10 minutes late and then I was told someone was supposed to call me to reschedule me as their hairstylist couldnt make it in. I honestly told them just to cancel .. this had become a stressful 2 week ordeal just to come in for a simple blow out. At this time I also found out I was never going to be able to have my blow out on Sunday because there are no stylists on Sunday but was never told this. 5 minutes after canceling I was contacted and told there was a hair stylist after all and if I wanted to come in. Since I was already in my lobby waiting for my ride I decided to just go. My stylist was a very nice woman but unfortuntely she didnt style my hair at all as requested and I was asked if I wanted my hair washed when it was my understanding that a blowout conists of a wash and must be done with wet hair. Also, they had her do my blowout before my jade pod appointment despite a note in my booking that I wanted it done afterwards so it wouldnt mess up. I also found out afterwards that there are no showers in the spa to rinse off after sweating in the infrared pod so I had to go home and rinse off before my date .. which just messed up my hair. Staff was nice but the lack of communication was a big turn off for me. It was great opportunity to support local business but tbh I wish I wouldnt have persisted after no callbacks for a week and a half and just stayed home instead ..

This was my first experience here. The service was amazing! Alyse, Teenee, Natalie were all amazing!! They made my birthday so wonderful. The glow was nothing short of phenomenal Alyse gave pointers on how to keep my skin looking flawless, Teenee was by far the best pedi I have ever experienced, Natalie perfected my eyebrows and gave me tips on caring for my brows. Highly recommended and I will return for sure in the near future.

I splurged and bought my mom the 75 min signature facial thinking this would be a real treat. I was disappointed to hear that the aesthetician (Angelina) was rather hard on my mothers skin. My mom said the micro needling (something I did not read was a part of this facial) was hitting her tooths nerve. The aesthetician proceeded and disregarded my moms complaints. My mom also mentioned that Angelina kept leaving the room for long durations. I called and spoke to the manager and all she could do was take off the parking charge... I have worked in customer service for many years and thought this Spa handled the situation poorly. I have since canceled my upcoming 3 treatments.

Tried sugaring for the first time. The service wasnt bad but there were whole sections that got missed (I didnt notice right away as I had just had surgery recently and was feeling less than flexible). Plus I felt sorry for everyone else trying to enjoy their day at the spa - the sugar was more painful than I expected and I know I yelped a couple of times. Not much privacy - the walls dont go all the way to the ceiling. I wish my regular wax salon had been open. Paid more here and got less. Wont be back.*Edit - they reached out and offered me the option to try their services again free of charge as well as refunding my original service. I will happily try again as everyone has an off day.*

So I’ve been injured the past couple of weeks and wanted to treat myself to a spa day. I’ve been on a knee scooter, so I called the spa in advance to make sure they were ADA accessible. They confirmed the were, but when I showed up that was far from the truth. Getting to the spa was a total nightmare, there were several obstacles in the way in the garage and getting into the hotel and to top it all off there was a flight of stairs to just get into the spa itself and more stairs once you’re inside. One of the employees there was super nice and helped me up those stairs. I was pretty upset that I was told it was ADA accessible and called the spa the next day, I told them the staff was super nice when I finally made it in there and was just really upset I was told it was accessible when it wasn’t. the lady on the phone was really nice and empathetic and offered another spa day and even my money back for the services, which I found shocking. I felt like I could put the whole ordeal behind me, but then 2 hours later a different manager called and was incredibly rude to me saying they were so nice to me and I shouldn’t have complained and when I told her that they were very nice and that my complaint was that I was told they were ADA accessible and weren’t, her response was angrily telling me “Well we helped you up the stairs!” Ok ma’am, but that still doesn’t make you ADA accessible... imagine if I was actually in a wheelchair and couldn’t walk at all, we’re you planning to carry me up the stairs? They never followed through and haven’t received anything from them and even if I do I don’t plan on going back. If a manager is considering helping someone up the stairs ADA accessible and lying about it to people before they come in, based on principle this company shouldn’t be supported. There are so many better spas in the area.

Wonderful first Waterless pedicure it was such a great experience atmosphere great but Teetee was the best she really puts love into her services. I was worried about a waterless pedicure but I actually preferred it

Went to their website to choose my facial and noticed they have tons of stock photos of people and not a single person in any of the photos is non-white. Once I noticed it I combed through the rest of their site because I couldn’t believe it. Apparently they have a very specific definition of beauty. So glad I noticed it before booking because I almost gave them $500!

I was serviced by Angelina. She has expert hands. The whole facial experience was wonderful. Angelina is so lovely. I purchased the miracle oil and lip balm. Ive been using the oil for 3 days and my fine lines have faded. My face still looks and feels amazing!

Probably the best massage of my life! Every detail of the decor is designed to relax you, and the massage itself was wonderful - plus they squeezed me in last-minute when my back was aching after a long flight. Couldnt recommend more highly.

Found this place on Groupon while looking for a location to have a Brazilian Waxing done. When i initially made the appointment, not the most friendliest, but they were able to get me right away. I was tended to by Alise (not sure on the spelling), but let me just say she was super sweet/professional. I had the sugaring done one other time, so I was a bit nervous trying it again. She made me feel so comfortable, and at ease. She is definitely one to go to if youre interested in sugaring. I would like to make my next appointment with her got get my eyelashes done. Great work!!

Unfortunately, this spa doesnt even have showers, much less a jacuzzi or a steam room, so it is not very sanitary. Its also supposed to be upscale, but it seems to be missing something. Like professional and courteous service. Not really worth the price.

I had a manicure and pedicure and it was okay but I didnt get much of a massage with it. I had Tina and she doesnt really massage with the manicure and pedicure. For the price you pay there I did expect a little massage. I talked to someone else in the waiting room who also had the massage and pedicure and she said she got a nice massage so it just depends on who you get. Tina did an okay job on the manicure and pedicure but nothing better than youd get anywhere else. I didnt feel like it was worth the price they charge. One of the girls at the front desk has an attitude, too. Everyone else is nice.

They cancelled my appointment last minute BUT we’re able to accommodate me in the same day free of charge . How great is that customer service ?! It was my very first time getting sugared and I was a little nervous, wasn’t sure what to expect. Elizabeth took GREAT care of me, she explained what the sugaring was made out of, she explained to me how it works and EVERYTHING, not to mention she was super sweet and made sure I was okay. I will definitely be back and I’ll definitely tell everyone I know to come and check you guys out

My experience was exceptional from the moment I arrived up until I checked out. The staff was courteous, friendly and professional. All of the services I received (massage, body wrap, facial, dry brushing and infrared pod) were amazing and I left feeling rejuvenated. I absolutely love this spa, the lounge area is perfectly lovely and very serene. The staff is always very obliging and friendly. I have been here for waxing many times and Sonja is my absolute favorite! She is so wonderful and a true professional. Fastest wax you have ever had and always a delight to chat with. This spa is very luxurious and thats how they all should be.

My wife and I had facials and massages as part of a recent trip to Seattle. Different massage therapists and Estheticians. Facials were very good but both of our massages were the worst we have ever experienced. Actually was wanting the massage to be over after the first five minutes. Would not remotely recommend.

Terrible service. We planned a special weekend at the hotel and booked a day of pampering. I tried to book several services for each of us and was continually told the staff that does those services aren’t here on Fridays, Saturdays then again on and on. I even told them I don’t care what it cost, we want to spend a full day at the spa, would you customize and build a package for us with the staff you have ? They booked two massages from the treatment menu. No facials no ads ons. This has to be the worst sales team. then the rooms are so small and the table squeaked the entire time. Before my massage the gentleman asked what I wanted to work on. I told him head, neck and forearms. I waited and waited and then was so agitated by the half hearted massage that by the time the forearms and head came, I counted seconds. Not even one full minute on either. My partner reported that their massage therapist left several times and that it was the worst massage ever. To top it off they rushed us out. Terrible.

I just went there for a service and had the best experience ever! It is super elegant and relaxing in there. Alexie and the other staff members at the front desk were incredibly helpful, even though I messed up my appointment. And Vy who was the aesthetician was a joy to meet and I am really happy with the service (sugaring). Thank you!!

This salon is, by far, one of my favorites. I went using one of those Groupon or Living Social deals but now I go back just because I love it here. I havent gotten anything done here besides sugaring but I would absolutely go for other services. The customer service is excellent and theyre very understanding of appointment changes. Price wise - I would say its so-so, average. They also have great monthly deals that I have yet to take up but if youre looking for great service and people who really care to please your beauty needs, this is the place.The only downfall is parking if you dont work or live downtown. I havent had much issue finding street parking but valet is $12, which I feel should be validated by the salon... maybe theyll consider that in the future. One other minor thing - making appointments online is kind of a joke. The process: you email requesting a service with times youre available and then they email you back confirming with a time that MIGHT work for you. Its easier just to call. These are probably the only reasons Im giving 4 stars.

I find Penelope &The Beauty Bar to be a good place to go to.I normally go for waxing with Sonja and am very happy with that experience.The place is in a 5 stars hotel, it feels high class, is always lit with an intimate dim light, with some nice chill background music. Staff is always nice, they offer you tea and you cant help but feel pampered.The downside on the other hand: it is expensive. If youre fine with that, then by all means.

I went to Penelope & The Beauty Bar for my first Brazilian wax experience, and I have to say it was pretty miraculous. The atmosphere of the spa is very calm and relaxing; you feel pretty pampered from the get go. The staff is extremely professional, and the person who actually worked with me was excellent. I went back three more times for the same service over a period of several weeks, and I was never disappointed or uncomfortable. I feel exceedingly taken care of at Penelope & The Beauty Bar.

Went in for a couples massage and this place is just amazing. Super clean. Staff is super friendly and takes care of you right away. It was honestly the best massage Ive had will definitely come back.

The first time my husband and I went it was for a day of pampering as an anniversary present. Neither of us knew what to expect, but it was just about the most relaxing experience weve ever had. Everyone is so nice and you are completely taken care of. I tell all my friends that its worth the splurge to feel calm and relaxed the entire time youre there (rather than only during the actual massage - from the moment you get there its like stepping into another world)!

Penelope & The Beauty Bar is a spa in the middle of downtown in same building of the Fairmont Hotel. Very relaxing upon arrival - the space is decorated in pale neutrals with some dark accents for a little drama. The staff is largely warm and welcoming (outside of one experience with a gentleman at the front desk who gave me nothing but attitude). Everyone else is so wonderful. I go to Rachel for my sugaring needs who is quick, professional and makes the experience as comfortable as it can be.One afternoon she was running late, but not being in a hurry I browsed the shelves of well-curated beauty products. The owner came in and offered me a glass of wine while I waited as well as a few minutes in one of the collagen beds. Great service! I love this spa.

As relaxing and painless as a wax experience can be! Rachel is great at the sugaring technique, and the natural wax was way less irritating than other forms. Will definitely be back!The only thing I dont like is the parking. They dont validate the parking deck, so youre either paying a flat $10 there or spending a lot of time to find something on the street.

The ladies here always give me good service and I think their services come at a good value (when you get them on sale). Scheduling services is usually easy to fit you.One con is that the parking situation can be a bit of a hassle. Ive started booking my appointments on Sunday so that I can try and find free street parking downtown.

The first time I came the woman had my service wrong. So I had to come back for the correct service. It was all taken care of by the attentive front desk staff. I like it here but I wish they would serve bubbly and chocolates like some of the high end spas in SF. It just makes pampering a little more fun.

Every time I walk into Penelopes it truly feels like an escape or mini-vacation. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by an incredible front desk staff. The massages, facials and other body treatments are fantastic and include services that can not be found elsewhere in this city.The one time I did have an issue, it was immediately handled. They went out of their way to make sure that the situation was resolved, and continued to check in with me, via email and during my future visits, to make sure I was still happy with the resolution. The quality of the services and customer service can not be beat!

Initially didn’t have a great experience here. The owner contacted me, was genuine in my experience, apologized, and offered to remedy the situation in a way I thought was fair.

This is not a luxury spa. There are no lockers to secure your stuff. I had to carry my purse around with me and have no idea where they took my clothes. There is no shower or sauna to get a nice steam or rinse after a massage. The rooms are all so tiny and cramped. Im 60 and the tech kept bumping into my feet trying to get around me when doing my nails. I booked a full day pampering: massage, facial, nails, and lashes. I was there for hours and was never offered anything but plain water. Other spas have lemon or cucumber water and tea and when you do a full day, full body treatment they offer you food so you dont get low blood sugar. When it was all over I wanted to reapply my makeup to meet my husband for dinner and the only bathroom had such a low dim light it was difficult doing my makeup. It was quite a disappointment.

Every single experience I have at the Beauty Bar has been exceptional. I have had a few different people for sugaring sessions and massages, and cannot believe how quick, efficient, and comfortable they make the experience. Getting sugared and waxed is a pretty personal thing, so to have someone make it such a welcoming experience is pretty great. Ill always come back here for everything. Thanks so much :)

I have come in for several sugaring services. There are not a lot of salons in the city that offer sugaring so I was thrilled to find Penelope, which is incredibly close to where I work. Everyone I have interacted with there has been pleasant and helpful, no pushy sales people. They also offer some amazing package deals from time to time. Love this place!

Arrived 2 minutes after their grace period for my very first appointment there, and they were not accommodating or understanding at all. I couldnt find the location in the hotel, and spent a few minutes walking around. They dont seem to value customer service.

This business is not ADA accessible. Also, theyve had some trouble scheduling appointments at the right times, so you may show up and find out you missed your appointment. I love almost all of the techs that work here, but wow. They should find a better spa.

Got a great deal on a Groupon here and Ive been so pleasantly surprised. First sugaring was really good but my next sugaring with Elizabeth was amazing! So quick and detail oriented! Highly recommend. Also the spa is inside the Olympic hotel which is lovely and worth a peek inside anyway.

I went to Penelope for a massage. I am FUSSY about quality massage since I have been providing this healing work for others for many years. I want a GOOD massage! I was not disappointed with my session in the least. Rather, wish I could afford to go every week. Excellent skill and understanding from my therapist. Highly recommended.

Came here to get my eyebrows waxed in the fall! Great service, calm and relaxed atmosphere. The woman who did my eyebrows was great, she listened to my requests and didnt make them too thin! I will definitely try to come back.

I love this place! It is a beautiful place to visit and has a very relaxing feeling. Candles are lit everywhere and the staff are very soft spoken and friendly. I love Lori who does sugaring like a pro! They even offer a special chocolate treat on your way out - and tea on your way in. It is a lovely experience in a beautiful place!

High end day spa. This is an intimate spa where exceptional care is given. I have enjoyed facials, massage, and mani/pedi services here. Prices are slightly higher at this spa than most others. However, you do have the option to pay $1,000.00 up front to join an annual membership to receive special member pricing on services as well as special promotions throughout the year. With membership is included 12 jade infrared pod visits.

I get sugaring done here, and oh my goodness, so much better than waxing! The place is always clean and relaxing and has new and interesting spa products about. Ive been seeing Anthea for quite a few months now, and she is excellent at what she does! Its easy for waxing or sugaring to turn awkward, but she is always fast, professional and fun. The only negative thing I would say is make sure you leave enough time to park, but the parking is downtown Seattles fault.

I started going here after receiving a groupon for a sugaring and cant imagine going anywhere else for this ever again. The atmosphere alone makes you feel like youve been whisked away on vacation (even in the middle of the workday). The service level exceeds my expectations every time, from check in to my service, every little detail is thought of and checked on to make sure the experience is the best it can be. Ive been seeing Brenna for almost 6 months now and cant say enough about her personally. Her sugaring has been spectacular...a true expert in her field. Whenever I go here for waxing, I feel totally pampered. It begins with the Doorman, the very first person I see, who greets me and holds the door for me. When I came here for my very first wax appointment, I knew it would be a stellar, high-class experience for me. Im always offered water or herb tea to drink while Im waiting. Ive seen two different aestheticians, Sonya and Morgan, both of whom are very capable and efficient, while making you feel pampered and cared for at the same time. I think its obvious that I love this place!

I felt like a Queen, such a royally luxurious environment. I got a scrub and pedicure, both slow paced and carefully done. At first I was skeptical of the dry pedicure method, but my feet were softer and smoother than I have experienced with spa pedicure soaking chairs. It was also very long lasting. This is the place I will want to come back to with my mother or anyone else I want to give a very special away-from-it-all treat.

I get my sugaring done by Rachel and she is amazing!! The customer service is always great and my appointments start on time. The parking situation could be better, but their prices cant be beat so I just deal with parking. This is the only place I will go to get sugaring done!

Ive been going to Penelope for over a year now and have never once had anything below an exceptional experience. They are incredibly efficient at returning calls and finding a way to fit me into their staffs schedules when I need an appointment, which is hugely appreciated. And every time I go, they are attentive and friendly - I have had 5 different ladies on their staff over the course of the year + and Ive liked every one of them. Anthea, Pilita, Rachel, Morgan and Kristina have all been wonderful. Ive recommended multiple friends to them now and all are happy!

Massages were wonderful.Pedicures were perfect.Staff was friendly and courteous.Although my eyebrow waxing wasnt great, I would definitely go back again.The staff was all so, so wonderful!!

Waxing here is great. Morgan is fast and friendly. Will definitely go back.I booked a full set of lashes as they had a special deal. They looked great but they all fell out within a week - pretty disappointing since I had to pay for another full set two weeks later.I had lashes before for a couple years and know they go through natural shedding cycles, but never had them fall out so fast. I always make sure to take good care of mine, but these just kind of slid off pretty quick from my natural lashes.

Small, feels cramped. Expensive for just service (massage). Usual spa amenities like sauna, pool, and showers are in the hotel (not sure if you have access to them unless you’re staying at the hotel, might want to ask). No private lockers, no separate changing areas for men and women (just separate little changing rooms). Massage was good though, and everyone who works there is very nice.

Penelope & The Beauty Bar is my go-to spa for must-have services and the occasional day of pampering. The folks at Penelope make every experience, whether its a sugaring appointment or a lush 80 minute massage, an opportunity to relax and unwind. The tranquil atmosphere and exceptional service both contribute to making it a five-star spa in downtown Seattle.

I loooove this place! The staff is phenomenal. They are so friendly and welcoming; Ive never had a bad experience. I get all my waxing/sugaring, lashes, and pedicures done here. I also bought a few spa treatments for my bridesmaids before my wedding, and did the Skinny Minnie treatment for the big day -- this treatment is amazing. The following 2 days, I actually had a thigh gap for the first time in my life.And the pod! I could use the sauna pod everyday.

This is NOT a high end spa. Women and men both in robes share very small waiting area. The whole spa is very tight and feels cramped everywhere. Massage room was only a thin door from waiting area so you could hear peoples conversations. I am giving 2 stars since massage was not bad but I will not be going back.

I went to Penelope for the first time for a body scrub with Kassaundra.... let me tell you she is amazing!!! I loved the beautiful atmosphere and comfortable bed and Kassaundra immediately made me feel at ease. She gave me a fantastic massage which made me almost fall asleep and used products that smelled great and made my skin feel baby soft. She had excellent product recommendations after my treatment and let me keep the dry brush she used during our treatment which was a bonus! I will definitely be back and would recommend her to anyone!

Lovely spa experience. The waiting area was cozy and relaxing and they provide tea and chocolates to get your settled in. The service and staff were really professional and friendly. Ive only been here once but would definitely come back again.

Spent over 400 dollars for two ppl massage and the whole experience absolutely does not worth the price.

I enjoy going every 6 weeks or so. Everyone is very nice and I love the environment. I also appreciate the location, I can go for a walk or run errands down town after my appointment, feeling refreshed and ready for the day!

Ive been going to Penelope for sugaring. This place is awesome specially my sugaring lady. She is soo gentle and ease to talk to....Love how she does my sugaring. The place is neat, nice place. This I one of the nicest spas that I have ever encountered. The most relaxing atmosphere and everybody I talked to was so kind and full of information. They offered a free service to tryout prior to my scheduled appointment because I had extra time. They did not hassle or try to upsell on any of the services. It was an absolute pleasure in every way.

DONT get a Brazilian with Daisy. She doesnt extend the skin at all, just rips like an amateur. Lori is great. Overall ok-- I cant imagine anyone paying full price at this place. The atmosphere is very pretty and chic.

I love this place! I have only used it for sugaring appointments, but their staff does a fantastic job and the atmosphere is serene. Im sure all their services are superb, the staff is all very professional and help to create a very relaxed feel.

I love getting a Brazillian Sugar Wax here. It is quick and painless (relatively!). Everyone is very friendly and relaxed. No weird conversations or awkwardness. This reminds me of the luxury spas I used to go to in Dubai.

The massage was great and the ambiance was very relaxing. The only reason I didnt give it a 5 was that it seemed that the treatment rooms were totally tiny and not well insulated from one another. Every time someone moved or talked in the next room, you could hear it and it would kind of ruin the relaxing mood. Overall, I would recommend this as a great spa with masseuses that know what they are doing!

Had a fantastic facial at Penelope and the Beauty Bar!I was a little early to my appointment, but they still let me change into my robe and slippers and hang out in the waiting area with a lovely cup of tea. The girls at the desk were so nice and friendly and were very intent on making all their visitors comfortable.Samantha was my esthetician and she was AMAZING. I opted for the Perfect Facial treatment, which was quite a splurge but I had not had a facial in a few years and really needed a good tune-up. It was SO worth the price. Samantha explained each product she was applying and why each was a good choice for my skin type and issues. She had to perform a few extractions, which anyone knows can be less than relaxing, but Samantha is such a professional and tried to keep me as comfortable as possible. She also gave me a super fantastic head, neck, shoulder and arm/hand massage. This was my first time using Biologique Recherche products and I was so impressed with the quality - gentle yet effective! I could actually feel the skin on my face begin to breathe again. When I walked out of the spa, my face looked radiant and clear, and the effects are still visible days later. I will be back as soon as possible!

This is my favorite spa! Ala is an expert at the European facial. She makes my skin glow like nothing else can. And Pilitas Brazilian sugaring is almost painless. Lets face it, this is not a comfortable procedure, but she does it quickly and as painlessly as possible.The spas ambiance is deliciously French and girlie--LOVE the candles and chocolates! And the front desk staff has always been very accommodating in getting me in at the last minute when necessary.I do wish they offered plus-size robes, but other than that, this spa is perfect.

This is the worst facial I’ve ever had. My face is burning and the price is too expensive and unfair. I don’t recommend this place at all. All they did was wash my face and put some sort of chemical on my face that is still burning me. I am disappointed and dissatisfied

I see Anthea. Anthea is pretty much a waxing queen. I do sugar with her and she is AMAZING. I am always very please after each session. Also, I very much enjoy walking into the beautiful Fairmont Hotel. Great service!

My two friends found a great TravelZoo coupon for a facial and massage. Parking was across the street at Aces and only $10 after validation. The Fairmont Hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas.The spa itself was cozy and very well run. We had the plushest robes to change into and slippers to wear. The staff were all attentive, friendly and helpful. One person helped us find the dressing rooms and bathrooms. Another staff member helped us to gather our clothes and store them. While waiting, we were offered tea or water, and later, Prosecco!I had a classic Eurpoean 50-min facial and glorious. Sonja, my esthetician, was amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable, she talked me through each step because I havent had many professional facials. I was so relaxed, I fell asleep! I felt comfortable asking questions and was very pleased with the results.Next, an 80-min massage from Ben and I was a puddle of speechless goo. The perfect amount of pressure combined with not too much talking was just what the doctor ordered. I appreciated that he checked in to see if the pressure was right, too.Afterwards, we were invited to sit in the lounge for as long as we wanted, which was helpful since we all needed time to put our brains back in our heads. Again, as we left and checked out, there was no pressure to buy the skin care products but lovely note on what was used. All staff were extremely courteous and kind. I will be going back again!

Ive always been made to feel very comfortable at Penelopes. Their staff are incredibly nice and the amenities are great. I had never had a sugaring treatment before and the aesthetician did a great job of explaining everything to me. The massage I got there was good too. I just wish I could afford to go every week!

I love the waxing services at Penelope. The staff is so professional and accommodating. Im leaving off one star because it is a little on the pricey side and they are not open very late so it makes it difficult to get there sometimes with my busy schedule.
